Spending Tracker for Positive User Reviews

Top notchI’ve been using it everyday for almost 5 years and it’s been a stable well performing app..Version: 3.0

Almost perfect simple finance appThis app does almost* everything I need it to, is simple to use, once you get the hang of it**, and a very reasonable price compared with other over-complicated apps and programs. I like that there is a useable free version so you can assess it and then decide whether to get the paid version (which I have). I use it on my iPad and Pixel phone, and am pleasantly surprised by how reliably it syncs and backs up. It is also very easy to export a pdf or csv record. *It would get 5 stars if it was possible to reconcile items during the month - to check that my balance is what it should be at any point, rather than only showing what the balance will be at the end of the month. **The only other minor gripe I have is that the ‘transfers between accounts’ function seems a bit hidden - I have been using the app a few months now and I always have to do some head scratching to try to remember how to do a transfer! But overall very impressed..Version: 3.0

Free has all I want, but....Lol. Not sure what I was thinking with being grumpy about paying in my earlier review. I mean it’s like 3 bucks. So many things want a subscription now! Had stopped using it and recently decided I needed to get my financial act together. Glad I paid and upgrading to 5 stars!! All I want is to just keep basic track of my spending. Love that I can make new categories AnD change the little Icons. And colors!. Easy to use, etc. Most of the newer apps want you to make a budget EVERY MONtH I don’t personally need that, I know how much I have. I just need to watch myself as I spend it on the more random stuff in life and I can do that easily with this with no subscription fee! ***This is the part I changed my mind about FYI: BUT (Everybody has a big but"--peewee Herman) I wish there was an option for getting rid of the ads without having to pay for a much fancier app. I would gladly pay a buck to stop the ads ( many of which are annoyingly for the upgrade I neither want nor need) , but I'm not going to pay several bucks for the upgrade when all I want is no ads. Overall it's totally worth a few pop ups for free though!.Version: 3.0

Useful and intuitive, highly recommendVery user friendly, and even fun to fill out! Such a useful app that is helping me to get a better sense of my financial situation and spending habits. You can set up re-occurring transactions, or enter things manually. I find the manual application of transactions helps me to become very aware of my money situation, in a way that having it all automated for me wouldn’t..Version: 3.0

Great appWorks well on free mode, thinking of purchasing the premium mode. Ads are a little annoying on free mode but nothing you can't live with. Would like a fortnightly option, though, as I am paid fortnightly and the app lacks this feature.Version: 2.11

Spending TrackerThis is highly functional and efficient! A perfect app for those of us that want to keep track of our money, but don’t want to go into a spreadsheet. Thank you!.Version: 3.0

Organise your budgetAwesome app been using it for a few years now..Version: 3.0

Essential app! Thank you!!! 😊I downloaded this app when I was going through my divorce 6 years ago, as when we were going through mediation I had to record what my individual living costs were. I had absolutely no idea of course… who does?! This app allowed me to work out what I was spending on each category (utilities, car, food, socialising, children etc). It was absolutely fantastic, so useful. I have picked it up again recently as costs have been spiralling since the pandemic, and wanted to see where my money was going. I’m now addicted to logging my accounts again 😂 Thank you for keeping it simple. Please don’t be tempted to change it… it’s perfect as it is!.Version: 3.0

Fantastic So FarHave only been using this App for a couple of weeks but so far I’m pretty happy with it. I like that I can manually put my Salary in as it can change from fortnight to fortnight. I like that I can carry forward any balance that still remains in my account. I like that it can total my spending on different categories so that I can instantly see how much I’ve spent on groceries or eating out, for example. The only thing so far that I would like to see changed is the option to select “Fortnightly” within the Time Period options, as I am paid fortnightly. Overall, great App..Version: 2.8.1

Your wallet on a dietThis app is easy to use and makes me a little more aware of my spending, and how often I go shopping (just as I used to write down what I was eating each day.) I think it will be helpful in budgeting, not only for reducing impulse spending, but also for giving me the freedom to more routinely spend some of our income on dining out, entertainment, and other luxuries. Love the notes field and search option, so I can add as many details as I like, such as just where it was that I got a certain product that I want to buy again. I use the sorting to group together types of spending, to see at a glance how much I have already spent this month on groceries, etc. I also use it to track my husband’s travel and business expenses, as they show up on our credit card phone apps, to make sure that our personal bank accounts have been reimbursed..Version: 2.7.3.1

Everything you need to budget wellExcellent app with just the right amount of easy-to-use features. Free version occasionally has pop-up ads but not intrusive..Version: 2.5.1

Simple, no frills, perfectBest app I've used by far for tracking where all my money is going, and I've tried A LOT. Makes it very simple and I will be sticking with this one. Only downfall is that it doesn't track fortnightly, which is how I get paid..Version: 2.4

A handy money managing toolI have found this very handy for managing our money, seeing what it is being spent on and cutting out waste..Version: 2.11

ExcellentI have just downloaded a few budget tracker apps and wasn’t happy with them. But I like this one. It’s simple. I can create my own personal categories. I then simple add what I have spent with a detailed note or not. And voila I can see how much I have spent. If you click the ? It goes to the Help page. You can add income and different accounts if you want. And it does graphs if you like that. But I just want to track what I spend and where I spend it. I have a shocking memory. Nothing worse than getting home and having no idea where my money went. 👠.Version: 2.8.1

Best app out of many many finance apps!Hi there Just wanted to drop by and say thanks for this wonderful little app you've developed and how much it's helping our company especially working between London and Egypt. There was just a couple of small points if you could help to update on your app, we would be able to recommend it for all the staff with families. 1) allow realtime currency exchange to take place at the time the input is made. For example, I've selected the Egyptian Pounds currency being in Egypt for work. I have bought a new chair for my office worth 1,000Egyptian pounds so I input that into the app. The app then works out how much British Sterling that equates to and saves it against that transaction so for future reference it's stored and much easier to cross calculate. Or it could be a manual addition of the current exchange rate. 2) allow other members of the family to share an account and update on all devices. For example, I bought the chair for my office and added that onto my account and my wife bought a pen set but forgot to tell me about it, eventually she remembers and adds that onto her 'spending' app but I get a notification that an update has been made and it adds to my account also. If I could help in anyway to help the above happen, please don't hesitate to let me know. Many Thanks and eagerly looking forward to the above updates..Version: 2.7.2

The most intuitive appThis is the most intuitive and productive app and I have been using it for more than 7 years. I am looking for a two new features, Custom Tags and Receipt Scan. Please add them.Version: 3.0

Good appIs a good app, that’s all..Version: 3.0

FlexibilityLove this app for tracking daily spending. It’s so open ended. Make your own categories which automatically get tracked. And it works offline when needed. The only drawback is that I ( as far as I know ) it can’t be shared with others in your budget..Version: 3.0

Very flexible and easy to useI have only had this app a week or so but am already using it on a daily basis. Found it easy to set up; very intuitive to learn as you go but help also available if needed. Delighted to learn I could set up more than one a/c within the app e.g. home & personal spending, making it easy to see at a glance where my money is going. Also love the graphics; the pie chart option is really helpful to me. Very easy to enter items once set up, just takes a few seconds. Will be interested to see how I am getting on with this app in 3-6 months time, when I have explored more of it. So far, so good!.Version: 2.8.1

Flexible & SimpleI have been using this app for two years now. At first the biggest challenge is getting into the habit of using it daily for all of your spending. Over time I have started using more and more features, once I became familiar with the features I have already been using. Now, for the first time I will be syncing my phone app with my iPad. I quickly updated to the pro version because of its additional features and low cost. This app does everything I needed a spending tracker to do and then some. I did not want to link to a bank account and complicate things, and this app does just what I need. Keep track of all my income and spending. And it is flexible as well. I have added many new categories to further break down my spending habits. At the end of the year I am able to produce charts and graphs of all my spending, both home based business and personal. What a time saver when doing taxes instead of tallying up all of my receipts for the year. If you want a simple spending tracker, this is it. Just get in the habit of using it every day. Which by the way can even remind you to do that..Version: 2.9.2

Amazing UIThis app in less than 24hr became an essential everyday tool..Version: 3.0

SpendingTracker works wellThis App has been great for me to keep track of income and expenditure of my lawn mowing business. It is easy to set up categories and enter data. I did have some head scratching to get to financial year summaries but simply otherwise very straight forward and it works..Version: 2.11

Very nice to use, it would be nice to have the highlights options!Love this application, well done and it works to perfection! Exactly what I need. One little thing is I wish we would be able to highlight the transactions! Thanks.Version: 3.0

Very easy to useI spent ages looking for a good app to replace the one I had been using which was discontinued. Didn’t find a lot I liked. This one is very easy and fast to input transactions on the run. Customisable and gives good info at a glance about where money is being used/saved and can quickly be exported out to email or other. Haven’t totally figured out all features yet but very happy so far with how it works. Having a tidy app definitely helps to keep your finances in check..Version: 2.11

LerouxI find this App very user friendly and so helpful for keeping tabs on my finances - sure needed the help so thank you to the developers of this App - good work 😉👍.Version: 3.0

Tracking FinancesI have been using Wallet for four years now. I did an upgrade when I first started this program. I love all the functions that are offered. Everything is easy to use and will be great at tax time. You will find this program is not difficult to use but truly tracks expenditures and income. For years I used another program and find this is far better. Don’t hesitate I am 90; years and find it great to track my finances. I am back again to tell you don’t hesitate. I love this program. If you should need help it is there for you. Still using all the five stars. I am back to rate this program. Be sure to read my above notes. Each time I start to enter my expenditures or income I am so please with the ease of using this program and all of the items that are available to me. Once again a great five stars..Version: 3.0

AnnifanachGreat tool for tracking spending! Flexible and clear..Version: 1.3.2

Use it every day!!!I love this ap. I use it to track all my expenses. It’s so easy especially when you use the repeat option. I use that for almost everything (groceries, petrol, rates, water rates etc etc) so I have a better idea of what I have left in my month. No matter if u don’t spend the amount u entered in, u can just edit it. Choose the date u want to start your month so it syncs with your pays. I wouldn’t be without this ap. It’s the best one I’ve tried..Version: 3.0

Spending tracker works wellI have tried a few spending apps in recent years and this one has been the best. You can customise your income and spending categories quite flexibly and record daily expenditures with just a few simple steps. These can be edited easily to make corrections to date, category or amount. Notes can be added to each entry to remind you of the particulars of every expenditure or income event. My only gripe arose when I deleted a recurrent income amount and replaced it with a lower amount. The app retrospectively altered all the previous income entries and seems to have deleted them. In hindsight I should have created a new income stream entry rather than change the existing one. Reporting on monthly income and expenditure is clear and logical and can be tailored to your preference, either date order or category..Version: 3.0

Simple and perfect.Easy to use app which does exactly what it says on the box..Version: 2.7.2

First Class appSimple to use, not overcomplicated like some budgeting apps. I find it a very effective way to keep track of my day to day and my payday to payday spending. It's saving me money as the act of recording my spending reduces my tendency to overspend. The developer is very responsive to feedback and queries..Version: 2.8.1

Fantastic app indeedI just wish it had fortnight budget mode. We get paid fortnightly here in Australia. Often we manage our money on a fortnight basis (repayment etc.). Thanks again to the developers for creating such a simple yet powerful app. Pls don’t tweak too much..Version: 3.0

Simple and straight forwardAfter downloading and trying out about 10 spend tracker apps, which were too complicated for everyday use, I finally found this one. The only irritating thing were the constant loud ads that kept on popping up and wouldn't go away until I paid $4.50 to upgrade the app..Version: 2.11

Better than expectedHas Multiple accounts, reoccurring expenses and income with transfer capability between accounts, reports showing future months/years expenses vers income. I made my normal expense account with monthly expenses and income and then a savings account with a monthly transfer from my expense account to savings and the reports shows my future savings goal as well as my future expenses account showing my ability to meet expenses with income and if a month is in trouble I can modify that months savings to make up the difference. It a spending and savings plan like a budget or a general ledger and I try to keep it up with any additional expenses or income (ha ha) in order to stay on the plan. I find it fun to maintain and to balance with my banks reality in the monthly carry forward dollar balance. Sure I have a bunch of visa charges but here I only have one monthly visa expense entry as my total expense goal for all those monthly visa transactions..Version: 2.10.1

A must have app for everyone.Been using this app for a while now and it's easy to use and able to easily SYNC between multiple devices. My partner can put in their expenses and it instantly SYNCs to mine and vice versa. Helps keep track of expenses and adding personal notes against each expense makes reconciling with credit card statement much easier. Tracking expenses at the end of a period is fantastic with this app. And the app support is fantastic too. Highly recommend it for anyone who wants to see where their expenses are and money goes and to help curb unnecessary expenses..Version: 3.0

Gives me what I need, nothing that I don’tI was looking for a simple yet effective app that would help me see exactly where my money is going so I can find what part of my spending is necessary, where it’s wasteful, and find ways to do better. I love being able to have as many categories as I want to really break it down. How much of my income each month is from my full time job and how much from a freelance side job? Instead of just “entertainment” how much is going to books vs. music vs. movies? There’s even a place to make notes for more detail. At this point, I’m not looking for financial advice from an app and I don’t want to link an app to my bank account. If you want those things, keep looking. I’m looking for a portable, efficient alternative to a notebook and a calculator and I’m fine with entering my amounts manually. In fact that’s helpful so I don’t forget to log cash transactions that an automated bank-linked app would miss. I want to track income and expenses graphically and in detail. This app does that perfectly. If that’s what you want too and you’re willing to enter everything manually, then I highly recommend this app..Version: 2.8.1

Great app!A terrific app that is easy to use. I enter data every day - after every ‘spend’ so it makes it simple to follow your expenses. Well worth the upgrade to premium to get the PDF etc features. Highly recommend!.Version: 3.0

Highly recommendGreat app! Easy to use!.Version: 2.8.1

Super Easy to UseMakes keep track of your spending easy and simple.Version: 3.0

Simple appEasy to use, manual entry which reminds u of ur purchases.Version: 3.0

Great for basic spending trackingI haven’t put much into this app yet, so I can’t speak to the more advanced features. I have been using this to track spending while I work towards getting back on track with a zero balance spending plan type budgeting system. The app works well for this. If you are breaking things up into specific categories, you are better off overwriting default categories you don’t think you will be using in the future (or are unsure of) as it appears that you can delete categories. That will help to keep the size of your list down to a manageable level. This doesn’t tie in with accounts (preferred for security reasons) and requires some level of hands on work, which forces you to pay attention to where your money is going. I find this preferable to more automated apps as you are able to spit purchases into more defined categories instead of going into autopilot and not paying as close attention as I should. It helps keep spending real for me when using plastic over cash. Once I get into full zero balance spending mode (I prefer looking at it as a spending plan rather than a restriction), I will look into the budgeting features I am not currently using and will try to report back then..Version: 2.9.1

Easy and comprehensiveTested a few spending trackers but this was by far the best - easy to set up and use and gave me all the categories I needed as well as syncing painlessly across my devices. Use it to track spending and income and not to manage my bank accounts so can only comment on those aspects. Easy to export to the spread sheet I've been using with a bit of reformatting to match the layout. Really pleased I changed. Have also recommended to a couple of friends who have started using it.Version: 3.0

Excellent and simpleBeen using this for years and love the simplicity. Thank you got making a quality product..Version: 3.0

Mr GratefulExcellent finance account system, l have used it for well over eight years now because it helps me to keep a tight control on my expenditure. I am able to account for every penny I have spent, not always wisely!, but now know where I can make wise financial decisions to reduce expenditure. Am able to run my cash account, bank account and savings account on the system so know at any one time my true financial situation. Can actually break down sections of expenditure for example cost of running my car, monthly food costs, restaurant/alcohol, heating and much more, so am able to monitor them closely. In a nutshell it is a fantastic system that frankly I would be lost without it, all my long term financial commitments are on the system so I never miss a payment and can clearly identify if I am going to overspend months ahead and able to respond a accordingly. Can quickly and easily locate when I purchased a item, for example washing machine breaks down can identify where, when and how much I paid for it and if it’s still in guarantee period..Version: 3.0

Our best budget toolWe have been using this since 2017 and it is fantastic. We have records of how much we spend on everything and it is so useful for weekly budget as well as future planning. We have been able to adapt it for our needs. Highly recommend.Version: 3.0

Brilliant AppThis seems to be just what I was looking for to keep a track of my accounts while I overcome the difficulties of changing from weekly to monthly paid. However I did need to move up to the Pro paid version but it was cheap enough and so much more valuable. I can input as I spend and see exactly where my money is going. It allows me to work from a budget too so I can see how much I have left. The Pro version automatically inputs regular payments such as direct debits so I only need to worry about inputting what I’m actually spending. I can also keep track of all my accounts in one place and it’s so easy to flick from one account to another. Re-rated app to 5 stars as the more I use it the better it gets. One suggestion would be an optional feature where I could see a running balance of all my accounts together on one page. Thank you guys for this great app xx.Version: 2.8.1

I love the appI do believe the budgeting app is a very excellent one. I like the fact that it is very easy on the eye to look at. I also like the fact that for a very reasonable amount of fee - less than a cup of coffee from Starbucks or Costa Coffee, one can get the Pro version with lots of goodies such as unlimited transaction entries, recurring transaction entry (definitely ONE of my favourites in any money or budgeting app!), ability to restore from/back-up to DROPBOX via auto-synching (another FAVOURITE of mine!). no adverts... Once I’d spent about two to three hours amending the income and expenses category names and inputting all my incomings and outgoings, I found that the app just ran itself, and I ONLY needed to make slight amendments e.g. when I had a one-off income or expenditure or a direct debit amount or standing order value changed. Thanks Developer & Please Keep up the Good Work. Also May More People hear more about AND buy your Wonderful very-well priced Spending Tracker PRO Upgrade Features..Version: 2.7.3.1

Easy to UseThis is the best app ever Really easy.Version: 2.4

Fantastic and easy to useI’m so grateful for this budgeting app! It has been essential in helping me budget my personal expenses. I don’t use it for our family bills, which I easily could, but rather for figuring out my own personal budget for the household. I can keep track - to the penny - what I’ve spent and what I have left. What I like the most is that you can put recurring income and expenses in it so that when a new month begins, all those subscriptions and monthly fees are already there. I don’t have to write them down every month and from the beginning of the month I know what I can spend and what part of my household allowance is already spoken for. Thank you for improving my family’s life with your app!.Version: 3.0

So far excellentBeen using for a few weeks and this is a very intuitive and down right easy way to track spending. Easily customized for individual spending habits. The only thing that I am missing from it is wishing that it could be shared between partners without having to use Dropbox. But for a free app, zero complaints!.Version: 3.0

Great little app!Really handy app especially for someone with a small business. Easy to set up and manage. Of course the ability to scan in receipts and up load automatically would be a great addition, but what’s currently available is completely free! You can near enough do this by creating categories and typing the information in yourself of course. It would also be good if you could set up a constant period for turnover comparisons YTD/LYD rather than having to reset it constantly, however these are tiny quibbles. As a development for the app I would be interested in an add-on to create linked invoices, which could be customised, as well as expense records for individual projects (ie direct trade cost calculations for the invoice I have just written) all of which could feed back into the overall expense listing. Thank you to the creators - you freed me up from hating the thought of inputting my expenses and receipt info into an excel spread sheet, now I record my expenses & receipts as I go, balancing up once a month. A great app..Version: 2.8.1

Very intuitive and simple to useLove how you can log expenses quickly and create your own categories!.Version: 3.0

Best expense tracker for iphoneI this is the easiest to use tracker uou va n have for iphone, usable even if you do not use premium features. You can set a reminder for you to enter expenses at the end of the day if you forgot, plenty of categories with many logos/icons to choose from. Standard features such as piechart or histogram and much more. I was even ready to purchase the premium version, which is reasonably priced, but for the moment my account would not let me. If they allowed some any other payment than through apple I would have done that..Version: 3.0

I love it!Simple and easy to use and keep track of your spending. Not just that but you can also make up your own categories and name em which you can’t always do on other apps I’ve used before. So far no complaints! And I love that it reminds you to log in your spending! It’s definitely a useful to especially for someone like me who takes his receipts and just jams em in their pockets 😂. I’m not the best at managing money but I’m definitely getting better and I do feel this app is one of the main reasons for me getting better at it. And I love how I can have both checking and savings and not mix em all up together. 5 stars all day for me hands down! Shiiieeeettt, even got the premium version and I don’t spend on apps like that so that should tell you something lol..Version: 2.11

Great appVery useful app, I’ve now been using it for five and a half years and use it every day. It’s simple to use and a great way to keep track of my spending. I also love the nice uncomplicated look, best budgeting app I’ve tried by far. Update: I love the new grid view on my iPad, Spending Tracker just keeps getting better! 😊.Version: 3.0

Just what I wantedI spent a while looking for a simple, uncomplicated budgeting app. I found some I liked but they wanted too much info or were ridiculously expensive especially as I’m looking to budget not spend more so they were promptly deleted. This app does exactly what I was looking for. I paid for the one off £2.99 upgrade and have now got my monthly expenses set up - as soon as I spend anything at all I add they quickly to the list - love it so much it’s the first time I’ve ever left a review on an app and have already recommended to friends, thank you!.Version: 2.10.1

HandyPretty simple to use, works well..Version: 2.2

Amazing app!! But have some suggestions to make better...I have been using this app for three years now and I absolutely love it. I probably would give it 5 stars, but i think it could be improved and if they are I'll definitely improve my rating. For me these improvements include: * being able to see weekly spend that doesn't include the recurring transactions. The reason for this is that I like to see how much I spend on a week, but as I set all my recurring bills to come out on the 1st, it makes that week hard to calculate as it says I spend thousands that month with mortgage, bills etc coming out. * ability to easily compare side by side previous years. I like to compare what I spent the previous year compared to this year (as well as one month compared to the previous years month). This is not possible in this app without a lot of flicking back and forward. * Finally a way to show all years combined to see how much you've spent if you've been using it as long as I have. Apart from these enhancements I absolutely love the app and recommend to anyone!.Version: 2.7.2

Best one everThe best in the best, I have trie most of the expense management apps, and this is the only one left on my phone..Version: 2.7.2

Great way to keep track of your financesDoes everything you'd want it to do. Much better than using pen and paper or spreadsheets. You can be as complicated or as simple with your invoices. Give every item a name, say which shop or occasion you spent the money. Have a host of categories to separate out your income and expenses to work out were your money is going and keep an eye on bad habits (e.g. I use an 'alcohol' category to make sure I'm not wasting too much money each month, but without making hard rules like "never go to bars"). Or you can just stick to "money in" vs "money out" to track how you're doing each month. I bought the premium version because it's just a one off payment, not a subscription, and I use the app enough that the developers deserve something form of appreciation..Version: 2.10

Great app to track spending and incomeLet’s you categorize ur expenses (bills, rent, entertainment, etc) The free version is great haven’t upgraded because I have been more than satisfied with the free version. I have had many of these apps and this ones is the only one you need. Never freezes or lags. Great way to save money and visualize where you’re money is going you would be surprised how much money you really spend. Acknowledging and knowing how much you really spend is the first step to setting up a plan to save money. I feel like this review sounds like I was paid to say this but just wanted to write a good review because in a world full of people in debt more people should track their spending and using apps like this make it easy to start saving this one really is a good app especially for free. Try this app before trying any others that are similar. I’ve had them all from mint to moneywise and this one exceeds all of those and the simplicity of this app makes it easy to stay on top of all expenses and income.Version: 2.8.1

Exceptional!I very rarely — if ever — give 5-star reviews. For me and my simple needs, “Spending” deserves it, hands down. No sign-up required! Inexpensive, 1-time upgrade price, (which I gladly paid after 2 days try-out). Easy-to-read data on my small screen! Easy to understand; very small learning curve. I tested about 7 other apps before this; most offered way too many features, some I’d never need. Retired, I live on a fixed monthly allowance, separate from income. All I wanted/needed was a way to breakdown and record my day-to-day spending habits, helping me to visualize (at a glance) where the money was going. Other pros: setting transaction reminders or just inputting on the go... automatic reoccurring monthly payments.... editing/adding categories... sort options... adding notes. More than pleased, I definitely recommend this app if you want a simple, straightforward spending tracker..Version: 2.9.2

Great app!As someone who grew up thinking that living paycheck to paycheck was normal, and that it was fine to spend all of my money every check with nothing carrying over. I didn’t know anything about finances. I have been using this app to track my spending for 3 years now. It is really what I needed and it has helped me to track where my money is going, when my bills are due, how much CARRY OVER I will have from my previous pay check. This app helped me realize that carry over is such a huge factor in successful finances. I thank God for this app. Budgeting is my best friend and I CONSTANTLY have this app open. I’m able to track the money I have across 3 bank accounts. I purchased the ad free thing because that was the only flaw to this app. It will take some time to set the settings to right where you want them. I would recommend being able to set specific settings for specific accounts rather than all of my accounts sharing the same exact settings. I wanted to try and budget using my credit card but it’s impossible. Hopefully there will be a version that caters to the credit card or an update that will allow the settings to be manipulated for a single account, as I previously mentioned, to allow me to use it for my credit card..Version: 3.0

Spending TrackerGreat app spoilt by number of adverts but works great anyway.Version: 3.0

Budget BalancerThis has been found as an excellent App to track Income and Expenditure activity across several separate accounts. Individual balances can be maintained for each account and all balances can be consolidated to provide total Financial position. The features throughout the App are exceptionally good and so far been found to embrace all my needs and expectations. In my book this App gets top marks or, if you like an a A+++.Version: 2.11

BudgetLoving it wish I had done it before Would like different subjects To be able to see whole months income.Version: 2.8.1

Favorite Spending AppI’ve had this app for a couple of years now, and I can definitely so it’s worth it. It works as intended. It’s free but you can pay a one time premium which I like. Everything is done manually, except for the report, which is really nice. I used to use Excel to track my budget and this works way more conveniently as I can add my expenses on the go. You can set a budgeting amount but you won’t be able to create a budget per category, which would be very nice if that can be added in. I wish there was a bank feed option and the app instead of manually adding expenses because sometimes I forget or am too busy to add expenses manually. Lastly I’ve had an issue in the past, which has possibly been resolved, that when the app offboards from my iPhone, the data is lost unless you create backup files in Dropbox. I wish the app used other backup options such as Google Drive because I don’t use Dropbox so it’s kind of inconvenient there. Overall great app. Again, bank feeds, budget per category, please fix the offboarding and losing my data issue, and other backup options such as G-Drive and I will throw my money at you..Version: 2.11

Spending ReviewA great budgeting management tool with greater flexibility and personalization than other apps I've used for the same purpose. This app keeps you real! Highly recommended. And, sadly, my app has frozen when selecting one of my accounts and I can't get out of it and need some help. This seemed the only way to connect to the supplier..Version: 3.0

BrilliantThis is a perfect app for my needs. Simple to use and very Effective to keep track of spending. I have been using it for some years and hope to keep using it for some years yet..Version: 2.9.1

Great free app for managing financesThis app is so easy to use. It has features that allow you to add expenses and income for each month. You can assign sub categories to them (such as a shopping expense, eating out expense, holiday expense etc.), and see these in pie chart form if you turn your phone horizontally. That way you can physically see what category you spend the most on each month. I love that you can add a note too against each item you add too, I use it to say where I made each particular expense. For a free version the ads are pretty unobtrusive. Highly recommend for anyone looking to manage their budget..Version: 2.10.1

Great AppThis is an amazing App. I use it daily to organize 2 businesses plus personal..Version: 3.0

*** AWESOME ***Love this APP, it’s simple and easy. If you’re looking for simplicity to track your daily, weekly, monthly or yearly income and expenses .... then this is for YOU!!! No issues since I’ve used this app and have kept my records for up to three years so far and counting! Would highly recommend it!!.Version: 3.0

Must have for every phone/pad!This app is great because it gives you the adequate mix between complexity, such as reports and recurring payments, and simplicity and flexibility, for example that you can use your phone to enter data, and your ipad to review your spend. If you, like me, take an interest in knowing how you spend your hard earned cash, and want an app that works across nearly any setup (bar macos), that both syncs and backs up using a free cloud service and for advanced users, it is easy to export the data to csv and use your analysis tool if choice, then this app is a must. This app has literally transformed my life as the spend data allows me to have an informed conversation on spend and budget with my girlfriend. Also, buy it (to the dev: let the community know if you need more funds to keep supporting this app, maybe £1-3 per year for maintenance would be more than fair).Version: 2.9.2

ICloud backup featureThe app is simple and clean. One is able to create categories and update those categories. It has a Dropbox backup and auto sync ability. One can change the fonts and sort the categories. However, when I decided to downgrade my Dropbox, the backup and sync feature continued to work, but I was running out of Dropbox storage space. I hoped that the iCloud feature was available to backup and auto sync, but it was not. The lack of the iCloud feature had me wanting to find another similar app that had the feature, but unfortunately, I’ve yet to find one that’s like this app. I also started a template on Apple Numbers to track spending, but it lacked convenience to update while out and about. I’ll continue to keep an eye out on an app to replace this one unless the iCloud feature is made available. I believe I’ve made a one time purchase to use this app, but I’m okay with moving on once another app has all the functions I’m looking for..Version: 2.11

I absolutely love this app, but I have a suggestion for the upgrade.I’ve used this app for months and absolutely love it. It’s convenient, simple, and is better than other apps I’ve tried because of that. Since I’ve been traveling a lot, I have been using the app to track my expenses with a new currency. While I can change the currency symbol in the settings, I think it would be an excellent addition for the developers to offer an option to automatically show the exchange rate. I’ve been living in China, so I’m adding up my expenses with RMB. It would be nice to have an idea of how much I’ve been spending in American dollars without having to constantly leave the app and check the exchange rate. I’ve been using the free version, but a service like that would definitely make me purchase the upgrade..Version: 2.8.1

ExcellentA sophisticated app that does exactly as it says. Extremely well thought out & designed. Spending & income are entered in any categories you choose - shopping, insurance etc, so you can see where your money goes. If you use it at the end of the day to record what you’ve spent, it helps to keep you within your budget - especially now we have contactless cards where it’s easy to forget what you bought. There is good customer support if you have a question, & you feel there is actually someone there who is interested, unlike so many other apps. Highly recommended..Version: 3.0

Easy to useGreat app for tracking what I’m spending my money on. Very easy to use. Regular payments can be added so they show up each month. Only takes a few seconds to add each payment..Version: 3.0

Great appTried a few similar apps, but this is definitely the best. Does everything I need it to do, and you can access most of the features without having to upgrade. Upgraded now as I've been using it for over a month and decided it's worth paying the upgrade fee just so you can have the repeat option/ get rid of the ads. Particularly love how you can create your own categories and choose your own icons. Really simple and clear format. Love the chart that pops up when you turn your phone horizontally - helps put your spending into perspective. Would be good if you are able to sort the order of the categories manually though. And this one in particular, would be lots better if savings in relation to spending is also incorporated into the chart. Right now, looks like only % of your spending is shown..Version: 2.7.2

This app is exactly what I neededI did a bit of research before selecting spending tracker. I wanted ease of use, simplicity, no features like integrating with accounts, something I’d love to enter into as I went through my day - and it is everything I was looking for!.Version: 3.0

Amazing AppThe best budgeting app out there! It has helped me so much in tracking my finances, it has all the features you need without going overboard..Version: 3.0

Great AppThis is a great way to track your daily spend. I have been doing it for years and love it. Easy to use once you have your personal categories set. Can even go back in time if you need to remember when you made a purchase. All at the tip of your fingers on your mobile device..Version: 3.0

Like it!I use it for keeping track of my bills for the year, hopefully it won't automatically make the start and finish Dec to Jan as my start date is in March, will just have to wait and see, up till now, Love it..Version: 3.0

Excellent appAs someone who has just started to earn a regular income after finishing school. The idea of setting up a budget was a bit of a daunting one, not wanting to bother family with this matter I searched online for tips on how to make one for day to day, as well as monthly. I tried countless apps that were either to confusing or more expensive than I wanted to pay for. Then I found this app... not only is it’s simplistic but extremely effective system easy to use it’s also amazing at what it does. Within minutes my entire months expenses as well as income was set up! The ability to budget, set reminders to update expenses etc, have recurring transactions (with the pro version, which is also extremely well priced for the product!) and even change the font! All of these is what makes this app a 5 star for me! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to easily track and manage their spending!.Version: 2.8.1

Daily Amazed Wellness CentreExcellent for keeping track of petty cash expenditure on the run. Saves digging through a huge ton of receipts at the end of each month. Can print out reports and spending records. Love it!.Version: 2.9.1

Best one out thereEasy to use and navigate, can make my own category and separate them. For example have an account for vehicles and another account for house hold. I can view them totally seperate with their own income and expense info or I can view both accounts at once. Recurring also you can customise up until 30months. Love it and just used it after going through 6 apps trying to set up the way I need it to be and this app, hands down the winner..Version: 2.8.1

Great for tracking expensesGreat app for tracking expenses.Version: 3.0

Best app on the marketThis is the most versatile app for tracking family spending we’ve found. You can also download to an excel spreadsheet for extra analysis. My only complaint is that you can’t track spending fortnightly - only weekly, monthly & yearly. Our salaries come in fortnightly so would be a fabulous addition if fortnightly tracking was an option..Version: 3.0

The best oneI’ve been using this app for years. I went through many spending apps trying to find the most user-friendly and versatile. This one has kept going and is now on Apple Watch too where you can still choose all the categories and even use Siri. The thing syncs across iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. What more could you want? I tried Pennies for a bit but this app is better and also is more functional on Apple Watch (it has the full functions, pretty much). This app is on my home page and my main watch face. It’s practically perfect..Version: 2.11

Been using for over a year and love itThis app has been a fantastic way for me to get a better idea of my spending habits and realise how easily those little costs here and there can add up! The free version was great, but for the small amount you pay to buy the app to remove the annoying adds and unlock the ‘repeating transaction’ feature it’s worth it as it will save you a lot of time manually entering them individually. The option to track more than one account is also great. It lost one star though because as a few other reviews have suggested, it would be great to have a ‘Fortnight’ tracking option, since ‘week’ and ‘month’ don’t give you a completely accurate idea of your balance if your salary or rent payments are fortnightly..Version: 2.10.1

Well thought out featuresThis is a great app for tracking your money. Having my accounts in front of me makes me more aware of how much I am spending, which in turn, makes me more incline to save. I have tried so many budget type apps that I actually gave up looking. Then I found this one and I haven’t looked back. Definitely recommended..Version: 2.9.2

Pocket accountingVery easy to use and a great way to get a grip on your daily spending. Day to day tracking of your charge and credit card totals is a breeze. Is there a way to delete redundant accounts. Peter Versloot.Version: 3.0

Best Spending App I’ve UsedI have use this app for over a year and it is one of the best. It allows me to create categories for my purchases and I really like the fact that I can sync the app between multiple devices using Dropbox. This allows my wife and I to keep an accurate log of our spending. I don’t need to link my bank account to this I just simply need to enter in deposit amounts and occasionally verify the running balance in the app with the bank account. The only thing I wish the developer would add would be a biweekly time period. As my pay schedule, and probably many of yours, is every two weeks. With this feature the app would perfectly track deposits and spending between paychecks and give me accurate reporting. The only time periods available our weekly and monthly, so I am currently using the monthly..Version: 2.11

GreatGreat.Version: 3.0

PerfectThis app has everything you need to track spending. I love that you can change the start date for the month so I can have it coincide with credit card cut offs. Wonderful app!.Version: 3.0

Very helpful with budgeting! This app definitely helps me with my budgeting and letting me know exactly where my finances are at!.Version: 3.0

Opening Balance!!!I would have given this App 5 stars but for the fact that the only way I can see to start an account with an opening balance is to add the opening balance as an Income. This then effects the report line graphs - the larger the opening balance, the more the line graph for the following months is pushed down to the bottom of the line graph and transactions are then hardly noticeable on the graph. If there were a way of opening an account without the opening balance having such a detrimental affect on the report line graph I would have given 5 stars..Version: 3.0

AwesomeWorks extremely well. User friendly and does exactly what I need it to do. Thank you.Version: 2.5.1

Efficient and easy to useExtremely useful and intuitive.Version: 3.0

I love this program and have been using it for yearsHighly recommended and love the reports, level of customization and everything about it. It has been helping me track the incidental expenses (after I constantly insist the whole family give me their receipts) and had been pointing out the glaring areas where we need to monitor our casual spending (eating out, coffee, convenience stores) and I love it. Just one little bug that cropped up after my recent upgrade to the iPhone XS max... The third party keyboard I use (Microsoft WordFlow) is now magnified somehow when I go to enter expenses and the far right of the keyboard is covered up of the side/unusable. I have to switch to the Apple keyboard. And it doesn't happen always (which is curious) but about 80% of the time. I want to keep using this app and I will regardless, but if it's something you can fix, that would be super, too! **kudos**.Version: 2.8.1

PerfectI use this app nearly every day. Makes categorizing and recording expenses a breeze. Great for the budget impaired with a simple but well done format. Free version is fine but i paid the the three bucks for the extras and don't regret a penny. I use this to keep track of the "digital envelope" portion of the cash envelope system I use to keep my finances in check via the handy option to create individual transaction notes. The only thing I can think to ask for in future versions would be that on the main page that shows the list view of your budget summary that the amounts would be arranged by date not just the order you happened to type them in. UPDATE: This app does have color selection and icons for tags...whoohoo! Missed them the first time...now I love it even more! Thanks so much!.Version: 2.8.1

Great easy record keeping appEasy to use, tally’s all categories and is easy to see where money goes. Also the pie chart is an eye opener of the % of income spent on each category. Highly recommend. Would be great if they could create a budget section to allow easy viewing of where in the budget everything is tracking.Version: 2.8.1

Super efficientI tried lit a different app to help me keep my budget and Spending is the best one by far! Easy & efficient, it's everything I needed to understand how I spent my money and how balance it to be able to do more savings, thanks you guys!!.Version: 2.8.1

Best Spending AppI have been using the Spending App for four years. I control all of my finances from it and wouldn’t be without it! Easy to use and functional..Version: 3.0

Can’t live without this app!I use this app everyday to record and track my expenses. I appreciate the easy to use, user-friendly design and functionality. The support team responsiveness is professional and timely. Since I’ve started using this app a few years ago, I’ve noticed helpful features being added, which tells me that their team is dedicated to continuous improvement of this app. I only have a few wishes for future development - a web-based version (I would line to have the ability to switch between mobile and desktop) and ability to add profile specific categories (for personal and business). Overall - after researching multiple apps, this one was the best find. It’s to the point, simple and intuitive. Very happy with it..Version: 2.8.1

Home BudgetingI downloaded and updated to the premium to get the extra features. I think that was worth the small cost. It is a simple-to- use program, and I like being able to add categories on the fly. Since I am retired, and have a small income, I like that I can put in a fixed budget amount, and then add misc. income to calculate come a total spending allowance per month. Then, there is an auto calculate that shows the under/over spending and the ability to carry over a positive or negative variance. I had created a spreadsheet in Numbers, but that was a bit clumsy, so this is a refreshing change. I enter the expenses on both the ipad and iphone, and the sync through Dropbox has been working well with live updates. This program was designed very intuitively and is exactly what I had been looking for. I think there are other apps which might have more features, but the ones I looked at seemed more complicated. This is simple and provides just the amount of information that I need to monitor my budget. It would be nice to be able to take a snapshot of receipts, however. There is a both a pdf and csv export function, so I can export the report into a spreadsheet (Excel or CSV) or as a pdf into an app like Notability for viewing. So far, in the first week, I give it a high rating for simplicity and comprehensiveness..Version: 2.8.1

If you’re interested in getting back in control of your finances, then you need thisIn today’s world of easier access to shopping than to education, many of us routinely lose control of our finances unless we make a concerted effort to keep on top of things. I know I did. I got into debt over an addiction to eating out, new tech etc. while still earning a considerably high salary. I got to the point where I was visibly afraid of checking my bank account as I was afraid to see the damage. It got to the point where one day, my debit card stopped working when trying to get onto the tube, as I had maxed out my overdraft. I was in an utterly depressed mood, when one of my close friends recommended this app, and took the time to sit down with me and go through my account and set up all the monthly expenses, and used the app to show me my disposable income as well as a chart that visually showed me where my money had been going. I have never looked back, and I religiously log every transaction I make onto the app. It helped me tremendously, and I am certain it can help many others like me too. It’s simple, it’s easy and I would blindly recommend it..Version: 2.8.1

Changed my lifeAfter my financial circumstances changed I found myself broke & desperate. A friend put me on to this app & it literally changed everything. I started to see just how much money I was wasting. I bought the premium version 2 1/2 years ago now & it was the best money I ever spent. I now have a huge chunk of money saved & I’ve learnt to budget. Highly recommend this app & tell everyone I know who’s struggling with money to use it..Version: 2.9.2

Does exactly what i need it toUsed to use this app and then took a break for about a year.... it makes a huge difference to my finances as it makes me think about little purchases. I make sure I put in the app everything however small as I have found its those “little expenses” that actually add up. Also makes me think about what I am spending and where my money is going. Can’t recommend this app enough. I think to make this app work you really need to track as you spend as its so easy to forget about these purchases at the end of the day a bit like calorie counting!.Version: 2.8.1

Simple and EasyEnter spending as you spend. Create my own catagories. Export to csv file and I created a master spreadsheet for budgeting. Great application..Version: 3.0

Works for meHaving just been made redundant I needed an app to help me control my finances. Having tried the free version I found that this app did all I wanted so bought the pro version which gives you some useful extra functions. Not being an accountant it took a couple of hours of playing with the app to understand it but now at a click of a button I know exactly how much I have ( or don’t have) at any moment in time. I like the fact that you can have as many accounts as you like and look at them individually or all of hem in total. The only improvement I could suggest is that you can only select 1 currency for all your accounts and it would be useful if this could be changed as I have some £ currency accounts and some Rupee currency accounts. It’s not an issue really but would just try it up.Version: 2.9

Missing featureGreat app! Simple and useful. My only (joke) complaint is that when I purchased the pro version, it should add that expense for me automatically 😂 since I just paid!.Version: 3.0

Simple app but effectiveI’m up to year 3 of using this simple app and have gone from failing to reduce my debt for 5 years to making huge inroads Take a while to get into the habit but really becomes effective and provides great information on your household cost which is invaluable for future budgeting and financial planning.Version: 2.9.2

GreatI love this app - it is so convenient, especially when I use it through my Apple Watch. I can enter an amount spent through my watch as I am standing at the cash register. It is also reliable (unlike other budget apps I have tracked). I like this app because I can put in the amount I have to spend and can deduct my expenses from there - I am not required to set up a budget (I have tons of kids - I can’t predict my budget). I have a huge request, however. There are only four pay periods to choose from - daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. I am paid every other Friday. I would like this app to have a bi-weekly option. This also becomes a problem because the budget is reset when a new month starts even though I am still operating from money I received during the last pay period. When a pay period extends over the end of one month and into the beginning of the other months, it resets my budget. As it is, I use the monthly option which doesn’t really meet my needs..Version: 2.11

Highly recommendIt’s a very generic, easy to set up and easy to use application. It will allow you to keep tabs on daily and monthly spendings and better plan everything. 5 stars. I use this application for a few years already..Version: 3.0

Easy to useThis is an easy to use spending tracker. Haven’t seen if it integrates with the budgeting app yet but hopefully it does. I downloaded several spending trackers and not only is this the cheapest but its the easiest and most straightforward. I follow The Budget Mom and this works great to track, rather than on paper. Glad I found it.Version: 3.0

Good stuff!Fab for what it’s says it does: track your spending. Easy user interface. Intuitive add expenditures, customisable categories. Would love to see the addition of being able to show spending by category or better yet, colour assignment..Version: 2.11

A very helpful appI used this regularly on our daily expenses and budgeting..Version: 2.10.1

Basic app, but 5* app and essential to my daily lifeBeen using this for over 7 year. Takes a bit of discipline, but everyone has a smartphone on them 24/7 so it’s not hard to just go into the app and add a spend or any incoming money. If you get into this habit it makes life so easy to keep on top of your finances. You will never be wrong about how much money you actually have due to pending amounts due to come out etc and it’s easy to keep on top of your balance as long as you make it a habit to enter everything as and when you spend. I would recommend the pro version it only cost a couple of quid one off payment and the features are well worth it. I have used this to help save money, move and work abroad (+ managing finances there), and now in my daily life as a renter to keep on top of bills, savings, food budget, spending amounts, so my money within one bank account is almost set up as little “pockets” of money as separate accounts within the app. I will continue to use this in my daily life for years to come and will likely teach my son how to use this app and track his finances (if this app is still around! Hopefully it is haha).Version: 3.0

Not bad just the adv Pop up too frequentlyJust as the title, it is easy to use but just the advertisement too noisy!.Version: 2.4

Spending - good simple-to-use appWe use this to keep to our annual budget - we use it at a fairly simple level but the categorisation of transactions and ability to specify an expense further in ‘notes’ suits our needs. We haven’t synced with our bank accounts. Quite quick and easy to set up..Version: 2.9.1

Everything I wanted! FabI wanted, No bank connection Record exactly (individually) what I have bought (not just a full shopping bill total) every day. Add notes to each entry. Record what money I have at pay day and see what I have left after every shop and then a total at the end. Be able to enter it all manually Be able to carry over to the next month what I have left. Be able to add my reoccurring expenses (bills) Be able to see what I spend the most on. Be able to use it on my phone (so I can add whilst out) and also be on my ipad to record any extras at home. Both of them to be connected and sync. (I have the same email for both devices) My currency be listed, (a lot only have standard $€£). Choice to add my own categories (this does with a wide choice of icons and colours). Well this app does all that for me. I have no idea what the basic app offers, I upgraded (you need this for sync) so I could have all the above. To upgrade it is a one off payment of £2.99. Seriously this is so much better than a spreadsheet..Version: 2.10.1

Easy to useGreat app to track your payment Would be really good if have an option to add picture of invoice.Version: 2.8.1

Great app but a few suggestions...This app is great overall, and I don’t have the premium so I’m not sure if that’s different, but for the normal free one, I like it a lot it’s very helpful but i would like it better if, when making a second account it had the option to make it a savings account, so it would say things like “you’ve gotten $50 so far!” And it would have an option to take money away from the account but it wouldn’t say “expenses” bc that technically wouldn’t be right. And if u could set a goal for a savings account, and once u reach ur goal it tells u that u reached it and “would u like to raise ur goal or close this account?” Ya know? But yeah that would be great so if u would do that I would totally give five stars. Thanks for a very helpful app tho! Edit: I realized it would also be awesome if there was a Debts section where u could write down who u owe money to and how much, and there’s a little button next to it so u can say “debt paid”.Version: 2.7.3.1

Easy to use and serves its purposeI’ve been trying to find an app to help me track my income and outgoing expenses to keep myself accountable and help me save, for quite sometime. I’ve downloaded and even paid small costs for a lot of the others that I’ve found through the App Store, to give them a try. I’ve tried the super fancy apps too. Most of them were just too complicated to use or add spending quickly. I downloaded this one a few months ago and I’m very happy that I can easily use it and it helps me simply track my income and expenses. It’s easy and not over an overly worked app. It is easy to add an expense pretty quickly, however I do wish that they made a widget option so that I can have an option straight to my screen. I understand it’s likely done that way for privacy, you do have to put in your passcode or login with your face verification to use it, but a simple +/- widget option would be great!.Version: 3.0

Simple but very effectiveReally pleased with this little app. Very flexible, customisable and intuitive. I like being able to make a visual record of spending patterns using friendly and familiar icons to suit my needs and had a bit of fun choosing icons and setting them up. We’re using this app to track credit card spending on a number of different cards which let’s face it in this click and go world is easy to lose track of. The different ‘Account’ options is perfect for separating out the different cards in the family and being able to set different time periods for each card is very handy. Graphics are really clear - already I can see this will help curb spending on non essentials because they’re right there as soon as I open the app - reckon this will help us save money too! The help notes were clear, I was able to work out everything I needed by trial and error or using the notes. Was up and running in about 1/2 hour. Great for all ages, and I can see why businesses have given it a thumbs up too. Going to recommend this to my family and especially my son for his uni accounts..Version: 3.0

Pleasantly surprised with this appThis app has several good features for maintaining records of income and expenses. I have only used it for a couple of weeks and so far it is much more to my liking than the other four or five apps that I tried. The dissatisfaction with other apps is what brought about my surprise that this one actually does what I wanted it to do. You can maintain a good record of spending in each category, which you can customize to suit your needs. You can also do the same for multiple sources of income. It does some basic reports which are useful and may be all you need. Also you can run several different accounts at the same time. One thing that I don’t like is that if you have multiple accounts, the categories that you use on one account are automatically included on other accounts. Deleting a category from one account and keeping it in the other has not been possible yet. I will continue to try, as a bunch of unused categories clutters up the account where they aren’t needed. I expect to like this better as I get more experience with it..Version: 2.8.1

Life changingHonestly this app changed my life. As a person who has always struggled with managing money I wish I had this 20 years ago..Version: 3.0

AwesomeGreat easy way to keep track of our spending.Version: 3.0

GoodSimple expense tracker.Version: 3.0

EXCELLENT for Personal Finance ApplicationThis app is the primary reason that I wanted to purchase an iPhone in the first place, and it has met or exceeded every expectation! It allows the hand-creation of categories of spending, keeps a transaction list for each month (which furthermore can be exported to MS Excel via a .csv file using the very low-cost upgrade), and reports running and final totals of expense for each category, in a list form or by pie chart with percentages. It also keeps track of income, but this is done without category-specific totals or pie charts. It took a minor amount of time to set up, and once this was done, it was very simple and rapid to use! EXACTLY what I was looking for!! And, I agree and appreciate the newer feature of allowing for negative values for expenses - this keeps reimbursements from being confused with income - a surprisingly helpful accounting practice. I expect that it could only really be improved by substantially increasing its size and complexity - which would probably be unrealistic for a low-cost and elegant app such as this..Version: 2.9.1

Best tracker I’ve usedThis tracker is excellent, I paid the one off fee to use it Ad free. It’s so simple but so effective and I owe sticking to my budget down to this app. I tried many budget apps, some with much higher ongoing subscriptions but this is head and shoulders above any of those. If I were to make one change I’d make it possible to be shared so that two people can access one tracker - it would be so helpful for people that have joint finances with that amendment but other than that it’s excellent. Very helpful appI’ve been using this app for over a year now to track out family budget. I haven’t spent any additional money on the app and have managed with the basics. It’s an amazingly easy process to plug in our spending and see what we’ve spend money on. Well worth it!.Version: 3.0

I recommend this productVery easy to use - liked it enough to pay to upgrade to the full version! Recent upgrade has enhanced appearance without compromising functionality. Great to be able to download a range of reports in different formats. Having monthly and yearly options is good but would also really like to be able to review spending totals by individual categories - hence 4 star rather than 5..Version: 3.0

So helpful, a few wishesThis app save a me so much time. Easy to use. Easy to set up recurring expenses. I have been using it for years now and don’t waste time on big software computer programs any longer. I just print important categories out for my CPA at the end of the year. Also, since it is in my phone I never miss putting something in quickly amd easily. This has been a game changer for me! A couple of wishes…1. When I am wanting to export a specific categories it brings up a wheel for selection. This is hard because I have so many categories. I would prefer to be able to do a search or be able to start typing the category name and have relevant ones pop up, or have them alphabetically listed. 2. It isn’t easy to modify a category name once it is established. 3. It would be great to be able to have a couple of different spending sets. Like one for my business account and one for a personal account. I haven't found a way to do these things in this app so far..Version: 3.0

Really good but please improve transfersI love this app and use it a lot. Its really easy to use. However, there are 2 things that could make it better. When you create more than 1 account and swap between them the app keeps moving the month you are looking at back to the current month. Its annoying when your trying to plan ahead. Please fix this! The second thing would be linking transfers between accounts. Currently if you transfer money between accounts it creates two transfer records that are not linked - one taking money out of the first account and one adding money into the second account. This is great until you need to change anything about the transfer, eg the date of it or the amount. When this happens you have to update each transfer individually, both outgoing and incoming - which is really, really frustrating when its a repeating transfer. Currently you have to delete the outgoing transfer, then delete the incoming transfer and start again. Please fix this!.Version: 3.0

Great appVery easy to use to work out where your money is going.Version: 2.8.1

ConvenientVery user friendly, every time I make a purchase I can just click this app and spend 3 seconds to record it..Version: 3.0

Very useful appSimple and very efficient.Version: 3.0

Simple, quick, and easy to useGreat app - even the free version is perfectly good for everyday use. There are some advanced functions only available to Pro version, and the ads in the free version can be a little a annoying, but overall a very handy tool to help me keep track of how much I have in my wallet, and to admit accountability when there is a disparity! I would like to see 2 changes... 1) if multiple accounts are in use, then show ‘Transfer’ as an option on the New Transaction screen, rather than having to go to Settings/Accounts, and 2) where a ‘Transfer’ is shown in Transactions Summary screen, opening up the detail should show both sides of the transfer - i.e. where it came from, and where it went to..Version: 2.9.2

Great AppAwesome app, been using the free version for the last couple months and will probably upgrade to the paid version soon. Only thing I would say is that it would be great to have different options for the period instead of just weekly, monthly and yearly. I personally would be more than happy to pay an extra one off fee just to be able to track my spending over a four week period rather than monthly..Version: 3.0

Easy to use, and the visuals for tracking are helpful.Good value and utility - the app does what it advertises! I’d like a list of FAQs to make it even handier to use..Version: 3.0

Wow!I love this app! It's so versatile and you can make your input as detailed as you want it to be. I love that it can be backed up and thus automatically synced in real time on all my and my guy's devices, so we can both enter our spending at any time, from anywhere, and both have access to the info immediately. I love that I can export the data to a spreadsheet. I love that I can customize any or all of the categories and that it supports multiple accounts. I love the charts and graphs! I appreciate the colorful and interesting UI! (I need the interest and color to keep me from getting bored.) I downloaded the free version first, then when I checked it out and found pretty much everything I was looking for in this type of app, I purchased the upgrade. It was totally worth the $2.99 each for our individual phones (multiple devices on the same iTunes account duplicate for free)..Version: 2.7.2

Easy to useI like the App. Easy & simple to use. This is what I needed to track my simple shopping categories of expenses. Easy to track grocery, takeaways, & supermarket expenses. Would recommend for people with simple expenses eg. food, lunches, groceries, household items, etc... I will continue using the App. Easy to use.Version: 3.0

Powerful app for freelancers & self employedI’ve downloaded and tried more than a dozen expense tracking apps and most didn’t work for me. At first this one seemed too simple as I wanted to view transactions by category. Then I discovered that when you pull down on the screen you see the categories box and you can choose to view transactions by the categories you create. I upgraded to Pro then exported expenses and discovered you can export by category, a range of dates, by the month or year or whatever. At this point I saw what a game changer it was for me. When I did an email export all I had to do was click on the file from my desktop and I had a spreadsheet with all the transactions in order. If you had a mind to you could make categories that match your Schedule C for taxes which is what I did. So I have expense categories: Post Office, Shop Supplies, Office, Utilities, eBay fees, etc. I have income categories: Web Sales, eBay Sales, Shop Sale, Investment Sold, etc. Whenever I want to see any or all the transactions I can see any part of them by Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly. Note that it syncs through DropBox so I can see it on my iPad or iPhone. No subscription. You can set up multiple accounts and set reminders, set a passcode, set auto-backup and other tweaks. Highly recommend especially if you’re trying to track receipts, payments and income. Charles.Version: 3.0

Easy to use and export, attractive layoutTried 4 different spending tracker apps and this one is the only one that gives me full manual input AND an easy way to export the spreadsheet. Other apps wanted to use my location or banking details or an email address that was also configured in my Mail app on iOS, which I didn’t like for privacy reasons. The interface is attractive and it’s really handy to have different accounts for personal and joint spendings and income. Suits me perfectly..Version: 2.10.1

Amazing AppReally helps you keep track of your spending and savings every month.Version: 3.0

Simple, brilliant appI have been looking for something that was simple (cash in, cash out) with the carry over balance shown every month. This app did exactly that, without being complicated..Version: 3.0

Very functionalGreat app that does exactly what it says it will. Easy to use..Version: 2.4

By far the best app I tried 8othersMost comprehensive easy to use fulfils ALL my needs and is FREE! I deleted about a dozen other similar apps after as little as 5min as most make no sense and cannot ad categories or r just plain useless..Version: 2.5

So SimpleIt’s great really easy to use.Version: 2.7.3.1

Spending Tracker. My preferred choice.I looked at a number of financial recording apps and found them either difficult or too complicated to use. Once I got going on spending tracker, I quickly got on top of it. The premium version was a must and at $4.99 once off, a bargain. -Stephen Fox.Version: 2.10.1

Handy to keep track of your spending!Tested the free app but it didn’t take long for me buy the pro version. Easy to use and very handy to create separate accounts to see exactly what I’m spending my $$ on..Version: 2.8.1

It gets the job doneI got this app after reading reviews of other people and it seem to be what I really needed in app to track my money. At first I let the app generate titles and I slowly added or removed ones I didn’t need. Now this is all on the free version of the app there are a couple of things I like to do but I am guessing it’s in the paid version. There seems to be a little glitch or maybe it is me that I use it to keep a closer running total on my checking account and twice in the couple of weeks I had it the totals didn’t match up like they been doing before. Now I don’t know is it is my doing or the app doing so far I am saying it is me. I wish I could more but I have to pay for it and trying to save money instead of spend it..Version: 3.0

Has totally changing my spending habitsI don’t really like smart phones or apps but after buying a new house and knowing our budget would need to be strictly controlled I thought I would try an app for it and this one had good reviews. I think it’s great, it helps me see exactly where we are overspending and to plan accordingly. I update it with my online banking transactions once a week and it really keeps me focused on what we actually have as opposed to what I vaguely think we might have! Thoroughly recommend this app for people who are not naturally financially minded or indeed not very organised when it comes to money! I feel in control with this app and I've never felt that with money before. It’s very well designed, you can make your own categories, change the perimeters of when you want the time period to start and end, and easily add your spending to it. Big thumbs up!!.Version: 2.8.1

Awesome appI love it ! Easy to use and great to keep a planned budget.Version: 3.0

Using this for years - best out there!Like many people, my wife and I manage a busy household with children. We both work full time+ in the medical field and managing finances was a challenge. Several years ago I thought “there has got to be an app out there that allows us to share essentially a ledger or account register of some sort.” Of course there were several and we tried literally a dozen different apps. Many were complicated, forced you to create spending budgets or complicated things by adding unnecessary “fluff” or had issues with syncing or cost a monthly fee. We wanted a simple, accurate way to track how much we spent every month, on what, and could see how much we had left in our checking and savings. We wanted software my wife could enter a transaction in and it would show up on my version on my phone instantly from anywhere in the world and vice versa. This app does just that, we have been using it for several years, earlier versions had occasional sync problems but the developer was always very responsive and able to help us fix the issue. The last several versions of this app have been rock solid and do exactly what we need it to, nothing more, nothing less and helps my wife and I stay on top of our finances and spending habits. If you’re looking for a great app for sharing an account with someone that allows you to enter transactions on the fly - look no further this one is as close to perfection as you can get..Version: 2.10

Great appI have been using this app for 5 years now. It is simple to use and it is easily adjustable. The only thing I wanted to do is to know how much I spend on different categories so that it can help me with my money management. This app does the job, I record all my spendings manually every Sunday and it doesn’t take long to do so. I now have full history of what I bought and how much I earned for the past 5 years. I like that it is easy to see your spendings weekly, monthly and yearly. I like that I can create categories and assign icons, it makes them easier to find. I like the option of being able to see your spendings as a chart when you rotate the device. I have previously exported the data to csv to have a play with it but now I just fill in my budget spreadsheet with the data at the end of each month. This app has been a great tool for money management and does exactly what I want it to do! Thank you so much for creating the tool that helps me know where my money goes and how much I am earning! I am delighted to be a loyal user of such a great product!.Version: 2.10.1

The bestI downloaded all the money tacker here on app store and nothing i like until i found this app... It is so simple to use, don't need to pay money just to add categories or access other features like how I experienced with the other app.. no bugs and everything is working good.. I don’t really like writing reviews with the app i use but I'm very happy and satisfied with this app!!! I recommend this to everyone!!!!.Version: 2.7.3.1

Quite useful.I would pay a one time fee so that I would not have to deal with adds..Version: 3.0

Works Awesome!I run a small non profit group and this has helped me manage expenses..Version: 3.0

So helpful it's scaryVery easy to use app that helps you to track your weekly/monthly expenditure. Helped me save for important financial goals and see where my money was going..Version: 2.2

RecommendedReally simple to use. Have upgraded to premium - not a whole lot of extra features, but I know I’m going to use this app all the time so wanted auto back-ups. Read lots of reviews and got the feeling this app will easily do everything I need it for - already excited about how this will motivate me to save money..Version: 2.11

Great spending appSimple to use and good categorisation and excellent communication if there is a problem..Version: 2.10.1

I Use this EVERY DAYI’ve been using this app for well over a year EVERY single day. Every single transaction I make gets entered. My total automatically gets figured, I can have as many different categories as I want, manually label transactions, keep track of multiple different accounts, it calculates all your categories so you can see what you’re spending as a whole. Seriously. This app basically runs all my finances. It is literally perfect for the way I personalize like to organize my ledger. While you can select different ways for it to organize your transactions (like by date, or highest amount to lowest amount, by category, etc), the ONLY thing I wish we could do is manually move around individual transaction. I keep mine organized by date, and sometimes I enter a transaction later on in the day that I actually did earlier and it automatically lists it after the other transactions done that same day, which clearly makes sense, but I wish I could move just that one around throughout the different transactions that were done that same day. But that’s literally the least biggest deal. I’m just extra particular sometimes lol. I love this app. I honestly can’t remember if I had to pay for like a premium version or something, but if I did, it was worth every penny..Version: 2.10.1

I use it regularly & Recommend ITThe Pro Version of the Spending Tracker comes highly recommended by me. I believe paid about an extra £2.99 (very small price to pay: ?Price of a Cappuccino) to enable me to have the "recurring/repeating transactions" function, which I highly value. The app is very well laid out, easy to follow with extra help available when you press on the "i" icon (i.e. Information). It's very easy to set up your regular transactions. I have another app, which I use for my day-to-day inputting of transactions, though this app can easily do that. However for me the beauty of this app is that it solves something that's a bit of a headache for me: working out what direct debits and standing orders go out from my account on a weekly basis, as well as some of the income, which though small I get on a regular basis. This app REALLY EXCELS IN THIS AREA, making it easy to set them all up, all colour-coded & the expense and income categories amended were necessary PLUS the ability to view them on a weekly, monthly or yearly basis - This saves me having to set up a sophisticated EXCEL Spreadsheet or even a Pie-Chart, as this app does it all. Moreover, the developer answers my queries within a few days. Sweet! Thanks for reading..Version: 2.8.1

Useful and well madeDoes what it is supposed to and simple to use.Version: 3.0

RecommendedEasy to understand & use. A simple budget tracker & the best I have used, with several different options for use, depending on how detailed you want it to be..Version: 2.10

Useful app but can be made betterI will give 5 star if you can allow to filter by categories in transaction tab. Say for instance if I have 8 expenses under category ‘Grocery’ for different dates, I should filter Grocery to show me 8 expenses in transaction tab..Version: 3.0

Love it!This simple app has revolutionised my spending. As you have to manually enter each purchase, no more losing track of what you’ve spent, any extra income can be entered manually too so the balance is accurate- unlike checking a bank statement where a transaction is late and so does not show up..I love the fact you can set your pay date at any point in the month as I get paid on the 22nd and you can give yourself a budget weekly or monthly. More than enough categories but you can add your own too. A splendid app all round!.Version: 2.8.1

Great App!!!So far so good with this app! I’ve only had it about a week. This definitely takes a lot of the work out of it for you, and very easy to use. For years I have used ledger after ledger budgeting and writing in all transactions. I love how it just calculates everything immediately for you. The only thing I wish it had was to be able to allot a certain amount for each category as in your budget for that category. I can see what I’ve spent for each category but to be able to input a set amount that you budget for each category. We will carry over an amount for our allowance category for example if it’s not spent. So to allot the amount and be able to carry over that amount not spent if you so choose would be ideal. Other than that I’m the short time I’ve been using it, no issues at all. Please stay around and keep this app going..Version: 3.0

Straight forward multiple account trackerEasy to use with brilliant Apple Watch associated app loading seamlessly. Allows expenses and incomes to be tracked to multiple accounts while setting amounts, dates, categories and notes with consummate ease. Supports repeating transactions. As I use the ‘all account’ view to keep an eye on my monthly spending budget it is a bit disappointing that I can’t keep another account separate from the all account view to keep track of other stuff . . . it just needs a field ‘include in All Accounts’ yes/no for each account . . . I suppose it wouldn’t be an ‘All Account’ view then so perhaps call it ‘Combined Budget’ or something like that . . ..Version: 2.11

Love this appI used to write all monthly outgoings down but now so easy to manage especially if you get paid weekly and have monthly outgoings that change regularly. So helpful to make sure I have the right amount in the bank at the right point each month, allows me to spread payments and not leave me short, rather than them all coming out on same day. Only reason didn’t get 5 stars is because you can’t easily look forward a few months without scrolling through each week at a time, doesn’t take long but just wish I could jump 6/12m ahead (staying in weekly mode) to ensure I’m not in the red any week and I’ve accounted for the right amount for the foreseeable..Version: 3.0

ExcellentEasy to use and well thought out A big help for us.Version: 2.7.3.1

Really usefulI really like this app. I’ve used several money apps over 10 years. I’be used Spending for 9 months. I really like how I can create subset categories. So I can see the balances across unique categories such as my business, subsets within my business, personal spending, rental property, etc. I can add repeating transactions so I only need to manually add those that vary such as groceries, chemist, petrol, etc. It doesn’t sync with bank accounts which previous apps had. When those apps developed glichs that made them unusable I decided to change to an app that didn’t sync with banks as a better safety aspect and also to keep me more aware of my money, by having to manually enter figures. Using the repeated transaction function, it leaves me adding about 14 manual amounts per week. I can see at a glance where I’m at with each category . I would like to see better layout of the downloadable spreadsheet. I’d like to be able to seperate items within categories. That’s my only problem. I need to copy and paste to get my spreadsheet in order..Version: 3.0

Simple & EffectiveBig lover of this app! I was looking for something clean, easy and simply laid out to do a quick budget in so that I could keep track of where I was spending ‘unnecessary’ money, and what expenses were my non-negotiables. Highly Recommended. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 FocusOnSimple 🌿.Version: 3.0

No frills, no fussA simple app that does exactly what I want, without some of the overhead of the others. I like the fact that the spending categories are completely customisable, unlike other apps of its type. Simple and quick expense entry make this great for on the go use..Version: 2.4

Love this app!So easy and versatile to use, I’ve weeded through a lot of over complicated apps to find this!!.Version: 2.8.1

Easy trackerI have recommended this to several of my friends it’s easy to use has lots of categories you just need to use it for everything to keep track of your spending.Version: 3.0

Essential AppGreat app!! Easy to use and very versatile for tracking across all income and expenditures. No more half-hearted excel spreadsheets! :).Version: 3.0

Great app to help you save moneyI started using this app in February and since I have been tracking every dine, I have saved an average of $300 a month! And the best part is it’s effortless! This app helps you categorize your spending into personal and preset categories such as “groceries” and “Blue Apron.” The app also shows you your spending over time as well as the percentage you spend on various items. You just input your salary and your regular expenses, and every month, the app tracks your costs. You can set the app to track your regular expenses by setting it to be deducted on your schedule, for example, weekly or monthly. I am so happy that I have this app. I only wish I had started using it years ago!.Version: 3.0

Prob the best budgeting app out there right nowThis app is really useful, easy to use, with many useful features - categorising your spending, automatically pulling forward weekly/monthly direct debits (premium version only), useful reports and charts, budgeting mode (allows you to plot spending against your budget, seeing how much you have left to spend in the month). I would give this 5 stars if it allowed you to see your budget within each category - for example, I would like to see my £200 budget for food shopping each month, with what remains of it after I have been food shopping. At present, you can only see how much of your total overall budget you have left. That said, this is still a really good app and having tried a few of the others, it's def value for money. Also, it would be improved by ability to delete accounts - I keep getting error msg “account is currently associated with one or more transactions” when I try to delete old accounts on iOS11.Version: 2.7.2

Great useful appI've been using this for a few months now and love it. I was previously tracking and recording using an excel spreadsheet which is "long". I'm able to track my expenditure easily, the charts are great and I like that these can be displayed as currency or proportions. I haven't used the recurring function yet and after reading reviews about the pitfalls, probably won't. My only gripe is that in the basic version of your income changes, it changes it for all previous months, which I assume wouldn't happen if I upgraded. Despite this thoroughly recommended. Only 4 stars as there is always room for improvement!.Version: 2.10

Like it, hope has a osx versionLike it, hope has a osx version.Version: 3.0

Best thing everI’m loving the simplicity of this app! So user friendly —even for this old duck. Totally deleted all the other apps I’ve been trying. This one is IT for me!.Version: 3.0

Very usefulI have tried a few budgeting apps and I like this one most. Really helps you see exactly where your money is going and where you can cut back. The budget feature is also great for making you stricter with your spending and keeping you on track. The only things I would suggest adding is the ability to add an income to the budget total, or excluding an expense from it. Currently the only way to do that is to increase the budget allowance, but then you’d have to readjust it again next month and it would show as going over budget for the last month, or manipulating the entries but then that would be a false record of your expenses that month. For example I was given some money for Christmas, sold a few items, earned a little extra and wanted to log my purchases and extra money, but not have it affect my remaining budget for the month, but I can’t see any way to do it without messing around with the budget limit or the transactions. Also seeing your remaining budget on the icon on the home screen would also be a nice option. It’s obvious why it’s not there for security but it would be nice to see my remaining budget without having to open the app every time..Version: 2.7.2

Straight to the point with one-off paymentSimple interface that is easy to manage, and customise categories. Quick no-fuss tracking of spending. One-off small payment rather than a subscription. I’ve tried many apps that claim to be more comprehensive (subscription based), however I keep coming back to this app..Version: 2.10.1

Exactly what I wantedI downloaded about ten different apps in hopes of tracking my spending with my wife. This is the one that made sense and was easy to get started and make adjustments. Also, being able to sync with my wife's phone was essential (luckily she doesn't use her Dropbox, so I logged in on her phone, since it syncs via Dropbox). Sure, I paid for two pro versions to do it, but it was worth it to sync and support an app that does what we need. For whatever reason, Using Mint or Personal Capital never really worked out for me. I was looking to try an envelope style of budgeting, but would never actually use just cash like a savage. This allows you to set budgets per different categories. Actually entering my spending as I spend it seems to makes me more accountable. I love that I can select a category, but also enter a note so I know exactly what the purchase was. It's great being able to create different categories and choose the ones allowed to rollover. After two months, we are actually still on budget..Version: 2.8.1

App is really really good just needs a few additions and it’s perfect!!If we could be able to make a payment from one account to another so say I’m moving money from one account (expense) to another account ( income) to save that would be so good at! I see a transfer button under accounts but one for individual payment would be epic to do this? Also if we could sort the order or move the order in which accounts appear in the drop down down selection list as I would love my most used account at the top. I use the app to transfer money into different accounts with different budgets from which I can spend. I am also using the budget in reverse to help me save for a targeted amount, that as a feature would also be most welcome. That said this app is simple to use better than complicated ones that you won’t end up using. I highly recommended this app even without the features I mentioned but those would just top it! Thank you!.Version: 3.0

Best money manager app I’ve ever come acrossLove the editing features. I can name my items and the app automatically adds/subtracts saving me so much confusion. Now I know how much and where my money goes and how much I have to spend or save. My rent and food take up the majority of my income not bills. Interesting to know that..Version: 3.0

Great appEasy to use. Easy to track spending and savings..Version: 3.0

Solid little appI just needed a simplified app to look at my spending habits. And this is what I’ve chosen after downloading and testing heaps of others. Easy to add or setup recurring payments. The one off payment option for the extras was worth it. Didn’t want to get involved in a monthly plan..Version: 3.0

Brilliantly simple trackerHave used this app for a few years now and love its simplicity. Upgraded to Pro and it's been well worth it. Keeping an accurate and regular record of spending then seeing it charted at the end of the month or year can be a real eye-opener! Have recommended this app to family and friends but many of them want to keep their heads in the sand where spending is concerned! Silly people! Had a little hitch last week trying to save a PDF of transactions, emailed MH Riley and had a response and remedy within an hour - very impressed and very happy to recommend..Version: 2.7.2

The best expense tracking appThis is the best expense tracking app EVER. Do not let this app fad away! The features are straightforward and easily customizable. Minimalistic is the key. It does not link to any of your credit cards of bank accounts. All you need to do is spend 5 seconds every time when you make a spending or income of course! As a finance professional, I have been using this app for over 3 years and it helped me manage my budget and help me reduced my debt by 70%. The most difficult part is to have a habit of logging your expenses. I hope the app can work on making it not merely a tool app but also a lifestyle. Without jeopardizing the minimalism, the app can have better reminders to log expenses, as well as easy to understand tips for people without finance/accounting knowledge to use the app at their benefits..Version: 2.9.1

Used this app for over 4 years and love its simplicityI log every penny I spend and categorise it into one of personal spending 20 sections . Alcohol, food shopping, detergents, clothing , gifts , house fuel , van diesel, eating out , drinks & snacks .. etc I know exactly where I’ve spent my money and I know it’s obsessive but it helps me budget properly as I can see exactly where I can cut down and I don’t need to estimate. It also made me realise I spend more on keeping my campervan on the road than food . It’s best to get into the habit of entering figures before you leave the shop otherwise it’s easy to forget to do it ..Version: 3.0

Easy to use and readI like how this app is easy to use and quickly glance over without having to scroll through so many lists.Version: 3.0

Gain Control of How You Use Your MoneyFirst, it’s important to note that this app is almost entirely accessible to VoiceOver users. You won’t be able to take full advantage of the graphs and reports, but the data is available in other ways that are equally beneficial. This is easy to use, and it doesn’t intrude into your bank accounts. Granted, you have to enter your transactions manually, but there are some real advantages to that. Categories and transactions are easy to input and easy to understand. Those who crave color in their categories can have it. There are several useful ways to sort your data, and yes, you can export it if you need to. Like any other app of its type, this app is only as good as the data you enter. Yes, it takes some time to enter data, but the revelations you get about how you’re spending your money are fascinating indeed. This app is your portal to financial peace of mind that will be harder to achieve without it. Finally, note that the developer is extremely responsive to questions and provides accurate helpful answers. Your first assignment: Buy the upgrade, then track it in the app as an expense. You’ll be glad you bought the upgrade..Version: 2.8.1

Everything you need and Easy to useA great App that has thought of everything you need for simple budgeting, easy to use and very reliable, even made backup and sync options that just work seamlessly.Version: 2.7.2

Best manual spending appI love this tracking app, it allows me to follow my spendings without giving my bank accounts data to anyone, You just have to remember to add every time you spend on something. I just would like to have an option to have different currencies accounts at the same time, but you just can choose one, I’m tracking two different currencies from my abroad bank accounts and I have to use “USD” for every account, it would be great if I can convert from Euros to USD for example to see my total saving. There are some calculators apps using the google rate to convert currencies, maybe this app could use something like that, sorry for any English mistake, this is not my first language..Version: 2.11

Very usefulKeeps me quickly updated on my spending.Version: 3.0

Love it since yearsPerfect app to track your spending, very flexible.Version: 3.0

It’s a nice ideaMy tax preparer turned me on to this app. As a realtor I’m labeled self-employed. So he wanted to track how I spend my money. And how I earn it on various services. 95% of the time it allowed me to manually log my income and expenses. And my personal income and expenses. Maybe here and there but not lately. It’s a glitch and I had to go back in and add an expense or income. Sometimes I forget if I added it. I wish there was an income and expense note of your last entry time in date. It may be I’m thinking too far beyond the simplicity of this app. But it would be nice if you could snap a photo of a receipt and it auto populate. Also link credit cards etc. butSimplicity sake it is a really good app especially if the point is just manually acknowledging your income and expenses creating a habit of logging..Version: 3.0

Small business friendly and a must have .I’m a small business so do my own accounts this has changed my life around with the ease that o can now print off all the relevant Details when needed for my tax return . No need for account , the print style looks so professional it may have well been done by an account .. A way to upload receipts and attach to an expense would be handy would save allot of messing as mine are thrown all over my truck all the time .. or lost or faded specially if that could be printed at a later date .. All in all tho this is 10/10 product that I just can’t fault , I’ve recently passed is on to a colleague also a small one man band , he loves it too .. Many thanks for a great app ...Version: 3.0

Best Budget App Out ThereFor a couple years I managed my own budget in the notes app on my phone. It was a pain having to enter everything in each week and all. Especially when numbers were off and I had to go back 5 weeks and adjust accordingly. Then I found this app and wow it’s perfect. Recurring events, ease of adding income/expense with notes, categories for income/expense, I love it. Also, being able to set multiple accounts as in a checking and savings accounts, and transfer money between them in the app is a great feature. And last but not least, I love the widget that you can add to your command center which makes it very quick to add income or expense and also see your available balance. I did spend $3 for the pro version so I could add recurring expenses which was well worth it and makes setting my weekly budget incredibly easy. Each week all I have to do is slide over to the widget, click income, type in the amount of my paycheck, and I’m all set. This is a great app, would definitely recommend..Version: 2.7.2

Great App! Just needs one more thing. This app is perfect for what I need. I love how simple and easy it is to use. However there is one thing that I wish would be different. I would like to be able to see all the transactions I’ve added into the separate categories. For example, if I listed three expenses under a category called “Family”, I’d like to be able to later go back and click on the category “Family” and see a list of those transactions. In my mind, you should be able to click on the category menu option, then click on a category, and see all the transactions listed under that category for each month. This would be very useful if you ever looked at the summaries page and thought “wow I spent a lot of money in the ‘online shopping’ category. I wonder what I spend it on?”. Then you could look at a list of everything in that category and be able to more easily recognize your spending habits and change them accordingly. Without this, you have to go and search through every transaction and find out what category you put it in. Very time consuming. Anyway, just a suggestion. I would love it if the developers could make this change! It would definitely earn them the fifth star :).Version: 3.0

Highly recommended!I use this app all the time, as it lets me to keep an eye on my spendings and/or helps me to estimate when will my target budget be reached. (in case I’m saving money for something specific) I used it for a moment as free version and I have to compliment the developers, which are very generous because the app is fully functionable even in it’s free version! What’s more, seeing the upgrade price of £2,99 made me smile - for this price you can have some minor accessibility features that make life easier, but not having them doesn’t mean it’s gonna be a horror. To be 100% honest, I never needed the paid version at all! But I bough it anyway – It’s just that I realized that a great and helpful tool was given to me for free and I just wanted to reward the developers for their work and kindness! Highly recommended!.Version: 2.8.1

Simple yet so, so effectiveI love this app, its straightforward, uncomplicated and really helps me keep my money in check. I downloaded it in 2012 to help me manage my money and clear my debts, it’s the only thing that helped me. 7 years later and 3 years clear of debt, I still use it daily to manage my cash flow and understand what money I actually have to spend. For me the best feature is the ability to remove future dates payments from the current balance, as all my regular bills come out at different times all I do is set up recurring payments and then I know exactly what I’ve got to spend. It does require some discipline to log your spending but this is now a habit and it only takes a second. Thoroughly recommend this, for the price I paid, its paid me back a thousand or more times. I haven’t been overdrawn once since I cleared my debts and now have savings too. The only feature I would like to see added is the ability to remove categories even if they’ve been used, or reassigning all payments in one category to a different category instead, allowing you to then remove the first. But this is minor and doesn’t affect my rating..Version: 2.8.1

Financial game changerLike many people, I wondered where all my hard-earned money was going and knew I needed to track all sources of income and expenses. I’ve been using this app for almost a year now and highly recommend it for anyone wanting to feel more in control of their money. Because it is so fast and easy to use, I can enter my transactions on the spot or at the end of the day. It’s shocking how many meaningless purchases I’ve made, and I don’t think I’m an impulsive spender. But the habit of entering all my income and expenses has really helped me reduce pointless purchases—just knowing that I’ll have to enter my purchase gives me pause: “Do I really need this?” and “Is there something I already have that can serve this function?” I now review where my money is going each week because it’s so easy. At any time, I can see if I’m in the red or black and make adjustments. This app has been a game changer for me..Version: 2.10.1

Incredibly easy to useI'm a month away from retirement and I'm well aware that with a suddenly reduced income keeping in control of spending is going to be key to making a success of this exciting career move! Within moments of downloading this app I found myself using it usefully. The supplied categories are good and it's dead easy to add your own (one for 'Pub' isn't supplied). It certainly isn't fiddly; I can add a purchase while the shop assistant is processing my purchase! It's still early days for me with this App; but after three days of use it's already feeding me useful information. Highly recommended..Version: 2.7.3.1

Great appI love this program. It is very easy to use. I love the simplicity of adding categories as you go. I don’t use it to budget, but to keep track of expenses for a very small home business. I am able to print out a report suitable for my accountant to do my taxes. I would like to be able to split categories on a single receipt. And I would like a way to assign tags to transactions to designate what they relate to - for example supplies/home vs supplies/kennel vs supplies/rental property. Instead I just enter them on separate accounts, which is easy. Would also love to add a photo of receipts. I would also like to be able to enter the date from the keyboard rather than scroll through the whole year on the calendar. I also need to enter another account, because I don’t have a way to assign tags to transactions. I have 5 accounts now and can’t find a way to add one more?? But it is so easy and fast to enter transactions. I really do like it & use it. Fix these things & I will rate it 5 or even 6. I would also like to put it on my computer or my IPad. I would love a response from the developers..Version: 2.10.1

One problemThis app is perfect with one MAIN exception. The only reason this app doesn’t get 5 stars is if you are budgeting your time period on a weekly basis you cannot select different views such as daily, monthly, annually. This means that if my time period for my budgeting is on a week by week basis in the app, the amount I have left over will accurately carry over into the next week. (When selecting weekly view of my budget) HOWEVR if I select to view my budget on a daily basis (with my time period set to weekly) it will not reflect or even show my carry over amounts, unless I change my time period. This is somewhat inconvenient because I need to plan my budget weekly and need to know how much will carry over until the next week, but if I decide I need to adjust my budget daily and want to use it to view what I would potentially have the next day, it will not accurately reflect. I tried temporarily changing the “time period” setting to daily, and then viewing my budget daily and it did accurately reflect, however when I went back to my “weekly time period” it screwed up the “automatic carryovers I had to manually input to balance my budget..Version: 2.9.1

This works so good!I’m keeping track of all expenses, everyday, month by month and it’s spectacular!.Version: 3.0

BernieThis app helps me every month. I diligently make a record of each debit and credit through the period and never end up paying the bank any interest. One item I would like to see added is a “where spent” field which is similar to the category field, where the user can make records to that field, ( but not limited to) SELECTABLE from previous records. This added feature would quicken my entries so much..Version: 3.0

Great Budgeting ToolI have been using this app to track my spending for the last seven months and it has helped me categorize my spending so I can better understand areas I need to save. It is a very sophisticated yet simple app to use. I have the paid version which means no advertisements and the budget can be family shared between phones for my fiancé. I don’t use that feature yet but could see it helping later down the road. I recently switched phones from a Samsung to an Apple and was able to transfer part of my more recent transactions through a shared Dropbox account on each phone. All my budgeting info is also viewable on my computer through Dropbox but I haven’t tried this yet. This is a great budgeting tool to really track the categories of your spending..Version: 3.0

Great app, a must have!Super easy to use and keep track of budgets. Well worth the small price . The only issue I have found is that just recently the rotate device to view reports isn’t working anymore , not sure if anyone else is having that issue. It may be a setting on my phone as I couldn’t find the setting in the app ..Version: 3.0

One cracking money tracking app!I have spent a lot of time researching and using money tracking apps that have not worked, but this app delivers everything you could possibly need. It is easy to use and easy to see what’s going on at a glance. I can’t recommend this app highly enough.Version: 2.8.1

Loves itWe use spendtracker to monitor our expenditure. Great to know where your money is going month after month and year after year. Easy to use snd easy to see totals and percentages of expenditure. Solves that age old question: where does all our money go? Now we know and talk about it every 3 months..Version: 3.0

Love It!I have used this app for years to keep a credit card budget. We are retired and use one credit rewards card for everything that we can. I set up a limited amount for each month beginning with the billing date for the card. This way as I add my charges it subtracts them off the total amount I budgeted and keeps me from over spending. This is so easy and I know almost to the penny what my bill will be before I get it. I. In the note section I put where I made the charge and any other notes about what I bought. Another great thing is I can set my credit card to notify me when I make purchases and that reminds me to add it to the app. If I shop five places I can come home and pull down my iPhone notifications and add them easily to the app without getting out all the receipts and not worry about losing them. The decreasing balance shows me if I am running out of money to quickly. Try this if you way a simple way to budget. Also I was having trouble syncing my iPad and phone and Mark was prompt in helping solve that issue..Version: 2.7.3.1

Just one problem...I love this App, it helps us keep within our preset spending limits every month, and we use it every day religiously. Occasionally, (rarely) the app doesn't sync properly. Our workaround for this is to back up our data each and every time we use it. Perhaps twice a month we rely upon that back up to make sure all our devices are in sync. (We use 2 iPads and 2 iPhones to input the data into the account. This was a much worse problem with earlier versions of the app, and I worked with the developer to try and sort it. The bottom line is that I wouldn't be without the app, it is brilliant and works so well for what we want. I want to give 5 stars but can't because of this issue. Would I recommend it to a friend? YES, and I do regularly..Version: 2.7.2

Better than Pen & PaperI’ve only been using this tracker for a week but it’s a good simple way to purely record spending to determine where my expenditure mainly occurs and I am able to categorise each expense to assist identifying areas to save. I don’t think I will need the premium features..Version: 3.0

Great alternative to the more popular budgeting AppsI found this after trying several apps such as Mint and Yolt but this is the first app to do exactly what I wanted. I needed an app to sync with my wife so we can budget together and also export to a clean spreadsheet so I can reconcile each month. Very nice ui and easy to add expenses/income. I hate the other apps envelope systems as it doesn’t work for us and this is perfect as we can set as many categories as we like. One thing I would like to see that would give this 5 stars is the ability to import transactions. I have a spreadsheet with several years of transactions so it would be nice to import it and make it pretty..Version: 2.8.1

Works wellI use this to track my spending every day, it does a good job of it. I wish flowed smoother though, when you want to put in a new entry you have to select each field manually. If this was automatic (or a “next” button was located on the keyboard) it would flow a lot better and speed up entering spending..Version: 2.10

Feature request to make it a five starHello, I would like to be able to track how much I am spending in categories in real time. So if I have a budget for 200 a month for eating out I would like to track the eating out spending. I did not see the app doing this but it would be very helpful and would make it a five star for me G.Version: 3.0

Best spend trackerAfter trying many spend trackers and nearly giving up to make one with excel, I found this app and it is ideal and easy to use. The save to pdf function is really useful as I can share the details with family. Great app!.Version: 3.0

Love thisLove this it makes life so much easier I would however like it to sync to my partner so he can add his spending instead of coming home that night and telling me also would like my data to show up on the iPad is there a way of syncing across devices.Version: 3.0

Good AppI really like this app. I loaded a few before this one, loaded all my information, but found them quite complicated. This one was easy to add data, and I like how I can see each week, what my week financially will look like. There are a few things this app needs though.. one is we should be able to mark an ‘expense’ or ‘bill’ as PAID once it is paid; and then it moves to a PAID section. If it had the PAID feature, I’d rate it 5 stars. Otherwise, it’s nice and easy to use and I have not had any technical issues yet..Version: 2.8.1

Simple, not flashy, but quite honestly the best of its kind!👍👍.Version: 3.0

Great TrackerGood to be able to visually see where your money is going!.Version: 3.0

RecommendedVery useful.Version: 2.10

BrilliantI rarely rate anything and moved to this app because my previous app is no longer supported. This app is absolutely brilliant and easy to use. It’s easy on the eye and not cluttered and cumbersome like many others. I found the hints great and the category symbols are well laid out..Version: 2.11

Great app.Does what it should. Minimal ads.Version: 3.0

Great app - but please add reconciliation!I LOVE this app; it helps me keep on top of my finances, and with a bit of clever work adding entries, my budget too. The only thing that stops it being 5* is I would really like it to have a reconciliation function, so when I check against my bank account I could tick or grey-out the entries. At the moment I manage it by using the ‘hide future transactions’ function and delaying dates on anything that hasn’t cleared with my bank but it’s a bit of a faff. Despite this I still highly recommend it - adding entries is easy and having multiple accounts a good bonus for the extra fee. I tried the free version for a few months and it was a great way to get familiar with it, I didn’t hesitate to upgrade..Version: 2.8.1
