About Cook’s Country
Cook’s Country, launched in 2006, is located just outside Boston where a team of more than three dozen test cooks, editors, and cookware specialists work in a 2,500-square-foot test kitchen. Our mission is to test recipes over and over again until we understand how and why they work and until we arrive at the “best” version of a particular recipe. The result, we hope, is the best version of a particular recipe, but we realize that only you can be the final judge of our success (or failure). As we like to say in the test kitchen, “We make the mistakes so you don’t have to.”

Cook’s Country recipes, testings, and tastings can be found in Cook’s Country magazine and cookbooks, online at CooksCountry.com, or featured on our public television show, Cook’s Country from America’s Test Kitchen.

Cook's Country Magazine Pros

Free whiningPeople kill me with the whining about magazines not being free. Get a clue! How often can you go into a grocery store and get a magazine free just because you put it in your cart?? The READER is free, it keeps your magazines organized and provides the means to notify you when an issue is available, archive your old issues and manage your bookmarks!.KschlaugerVersion: 1.0

AWESOMEI am so impressed with this. <3 I love it even more than it's sister app "Cook's Illustrated". The recipes are flawless as usual - because they are tested thoroughly… REALLY thoroughly. If you like good home cooking, well tested recipes, that are easy to prepare (a step by step guide with pictures for the majority of recipes), then try this app. You'll have the following at your fingertip: - Recipes that in the majority are easy to follow thanks to a step-by-step guide with pictures - eight 30-Minute Supper recipes in each edition - taste tests - equipment tests - lost recipes - a slow cooker recipe in each edition - a recipe makeover (leaner version) in each edition - a recipe for two people (for smaller households) in each edition - one recipe in five different variations in each edition - helpful hints in many of the recipes - kitchen shortcuts - Q&A, and much more I will gift a years subscription for this app to a friend for Christmas..Jezeb3lVersion: 1.0

Cook's Country Magazine Cons

Seriously?Everyone here correct: even with a separate web AND print subscription you have to PAY to get access to this iPad version. False advertising and shameless money grab by ATK. Seriously makes me consider cancelling all subscriptions to these guys..AngelInCOVersion: 1.0

Great recipes, but...I keep hoping ATK will fix this app. Great recipes, but unusable as a cooking aid. When you find a recipe you like, you can't do anything with it. You can't save it, you can't print it... I finally started taking screenshots, but most recipes don't fit on one page, so you end up with a recipe over several pictures. I've had this a couple of years and like everything about it, except for this HUGE problem. I have an iPad full of screenshots and don't go use them because I don't know how to find what I want. Printing from the screenshots would involve a lot of cutting and pasting. ATK is great at everyone they do. Why has this taken so long to fix? I don't think I'll continue the subscription..Culver CityVersion: 1.4
