✓ Midnight PlanetsThis is an absolutely fabulous App. If you're into Mars Curiosity explorer then this is the App for you. If you look at the images from Sol 2 to Sol 16 and look closely at the tracks left by Curiosity you'll see the start of Curiosity's journey on the Martian surface. You'll also notice the areas on the surface where the jet blasts of the Sky Crane are noticeable and the journey begins. You might also suspect that the erratic line of navigation is where the team on Earth are getting used to the controls. ✓ Hands down, the best way to view Mars surface features. Period.If you enjoy closely studying surface images of Mars this is by far the best tool I’ve used. It lists the images by both location and sol but also will lay the photos out in a mosaic for each site with 360* of pan. This makes it possible to follow terrain and rock structures instantly into the site’s adjacent images. In addition its easy to follow the rovers path through each successive location on screen. Moving forward or back is done by clicking on screen markers in the image. Easy peasy. This is my go to app for a walk on Mars..Cheeky MonkeesVersion: 1.4

It's almost as if nasa cherry picked the photo's they wanted me to see, rather than share the experience of actually being there. This app finally takes me there. ✓ Just what I was hoping for!!This app is beautiful! There is so much that this app offers in the way of perspective that a single or panorama picture can't give. The 3D environment is such a great help in knowing where the rovers are and the track showing where it's been and where it's going is awesome! I was already interested in in watching what the rovers do in other apps but they only give pics and panoramas, this app has peaked my interest and I'm always anxious to see where we are roving to next!! :) Only improvement I can see is if there was a satellite (MRO) over head view with tracking so I could tap on a particular location and get to a site of interest that way also. That way I wouldn't have to go between this app and JPL/NASA website to see overhead tracking but definitely not a big deal. Also, I didn't see a way to save pictures to my camera roll which would be very nice. If you love keeping up on the mars rovers this is a must have app. Exploration at its greatest!!!
