✓ Needs workThe game interface is a pain. Get rid of it, or allow turning off so you don't have to go through it. Also, I purchased his and the fretboard note finder. Neither shows up in iTunes like all other apps - even after transferring purchases, or allows transfer to other devices. Otherwise, I like the functionality..Version: 1.2

✓ Good Idea, Poorly DesignedSome may find use in this app, but as a novice I think it’s too difficult and it only gets harder. After almost every question, it switches up the key and octave. There is no option to limit keys or octaves. This confused me. After using the app for 12 hours, I was convinced that I was tone deaf. Level one (easiest) starts off by playing a root note then another note and asks you to guess the second note played, which is either a perfect fourth or fifth. Those are, in my opinion, the two hardest notes to identify in the major scale because they’re the furthest notes from the roots. It should have started off with R, 2, 3, 6, 7, Octave all in one key; instead it does exactly the opposite of this. I have a few other gripes as well, but if these two problems were fixed I probably would have been satisfied with my purchase. I downloaded another app which was free and it’s infinitely better. It starts off in C major with options for R, 2, 3, & 4. I learned more in 10 minutes with that app than I did in a week with this one. Turns out I’m not dumb, this app is. The only person who would benefit from this is someone with a great ear or a masochist. Unfortunately I do not have a great ear which is why I bought this app in the first place. It’s too bad, I really wanted to like it, but for my purposes it’s totally useless. If anyone is interested the other app is called Functional Ear Trainer. It’s terrific..Version: 2.11
✓ GameIt not a real trainer. It's a game for kids. It will teach you nothing. Total waste....I was going to get the Metronome app but after seeing this is just a game not going to..Version: 1.2
✓ It's good but could use some tweaksWhen using the guitar interface I thought I was identifying Generic intervals so when it went to descending notes I was tatally thrown. until that is I used the piano interface and realised there's a bit more to it. You have to go to the Justin Guitar website or a different source to learn about major and minor intervals in order to use this app properly plus if there was a way to keep the root on the same note it would help to get a handle on it. especially since some of us have some hearing loss at higher or lower frequencies..Version: 2.08
✓ No instructions on how to use!I purchased this app because I love Justin’s guitar course. But can’t figure out how to use it. Every link I try to get usage info is either dead or just tells me how great the app is without any instructions. Very frustrating!!.Version: 2.08

✓ Needs work!This app needs more work before it can be helpful. the piano input is WRONG, so you need to ascend in order to descend and vice versa, duh! I haven't found an easy way to adjust level (if I want to go back). Sometimes the melodic interval comes out mistimed, so you hear a 'smudged' note. And really, there's no need to put unison's so frequently at the upper levels. Justin, I love ya, but this app needs road tested before you try to sell it!.Version: 1.0

✓ It's a game?The way this is presented completely ruined it for me. First, it's not very intuitive to use, and second, the fact that this is considered a game with recorded scores cheapens it. I'll keep looking for a better interval ear trainer..Version: 1.2
