✓ DO NOT PURCHASE THIS APP, STRAIGHT UP SCAM!!!You buy the app to use limited features. When I say limited, you can only take photos, nothing else. You can’t sync and back up to iCloud because it’s a stupid in-App purchase. If you try to create a manual back-up, you have to pay for another in-App purchase. Every in-App purchase is $4. All the 5 star reviews are fake because they don’t talk about In-App purchases..Version: 3.4.3
✓ Great for collages. Terrible for video.I have been using this app for keeping track of my photo of the day for the last 2-3 years. I bought the video pack last night to make a slideshow of my photos for April. I tried 6 times to upload it to Instagram and it fails every single time. I don't know what the problem is but I created a slideshow with a different app and it uploaded perfectly fine to Instagram with no issues. The link for app support here on the store doesn't point to an actual website for the developer. The feedback form in the app throws errors and says try again later..Version: 3.4.9
✓ Does this app still work?I’ve been using this app for YEARS! And have loved it. It’s always had a couple glitches when exporting pictures. But not enough to drive me crazy. ✓ Non-responsive developers - PLEASE HELPI made contact in September when my complete 6-year Collect collection of photos (of my children, each from birth to now) were lost during a phone migration. After persistent contact, you chose to partially restore the images for me, for which I was incredibly grateful. I then painstakingly re-populated all other images to complete my record. However, since then, I had been unable to upgrade .... the options to do so were greyed out or free of hyperlinks - there was no way to click through to opt in and pay. So, my collection remained unprotected. This weekend, a stranger kindly taking a phot for me dropped my iphone over the side of a boat and into Sydney Harbour. I have LOST THE ENTIRE COLLECTION AGAIN. I am heartbroken. I am desperately seeking your support to (a) restore my complete record across my three albums, ranging from 2012 through to December 2019. ✓ Video feature does not work!!I have used this app to take a photo everyday for all of 2014. When I finally came to making a video with my images the app told me I had to pay £1.24 for that feature. I paid this as I'd spent the year preparing for this 'memory video'. However the video feature doesn't work. It just gets stuck on the generating screen. ✓ Good app, but...... not clear you need to buy in-app purchases to get most of the features advertised. I expect that of a free app, but not when I pay for an app unless it is clear in the description to begin with - especially when you end up paying more than three times the original price in total! I was torn between reporting a problem and getting a refund or upgrading. In the end I went for the upgrade because it is still a bit simpler and cheaper than most alternatives. ✓ Do not use this appI used love this app and use it to journal my kids. My 3 yr old deleted the ap though and I lost it all. Then I upgraded, assuming everything would be backed up. I changed phones, and installed my new phone from my previous phone’s iCloud backup. All is gone. 9 years of two children’s journals. I had planned to print the books for my first child’s 10th bday. ✓ A year wasted & no customer support.I have been diligently collecting a photo a day of my baby since she was born last year. I wanted to mark her 1st birthday with a slideshow of all the photos I have been collecting every day for a year. I made the slide show and it crashed the app. Now nothing works. I am devastated that all those days spent taking and editing a photo and preserving it on the app for this very purpose has all been for nothing. I can’t even export the photos. I’ve been trying to contact customer service and even that gives me error messages, so it looks like they are in the wind. I paid for the upgraded version of the app too. ✓ Backup does not workThe Collect app is excellent in its simplicity and functionality – it provides the focus to enjoy and look back upon a daily snapshot of your life. Unfortunately despite having purchased the keep safe add-on pack the backup & sync option does not work satisfactorily and upon upgrading iPhones both my wife and I found only a partial restoration of photos on our new phones. I love the tag feature, because it allows me to search for something in particular. I especially love it for food items I love and restaurants I’ve visited. But when I click “Backup & Sync” so that I can see the same photos on my iPad that I’ve added on my iPhone the sync doesn’t work. ✓ Change Isn't Necessarily BetterI've been using Collect for over 19 months now, and loving it... But the recent upgrade has me wanting to go back in time and refuse it. Too many options make it confusing to navigate and maintain continuity with my former collections. And I am EXTREMELY annoyed that the "1st" image is the one that shows up in the grid. I post multiple photos daily, chronologically, and the most memorable moment of my day isn't usually the first...
