✓ Good fun, however...I purchased the “Season Pass” which is great fun for under $10 a year. However it’s a bit rich to then expect us to pay $6 on top of that PER VIDEO for the high resolution version. Come on! That should be included in the “Season Pass”. App is easy to use and fun but only a CHRISTMAS GRINCH would charge Season Pass holders extra on top for EACH high res video we want to download. Bah humbug! 👎🏼😡.Version: 9.1.1

✓ Um....When I got this app I was so excited to use it but when it was done downloading I went into the app and it took me to a Dark gray screen I thought it was just a little bug. A few hours later, I went got on the app again it did the same thing again I tried deleting the app and downloading the app again but that did nothing then, I changed the settings but still that did nothing. ✓ Changed it too muchThere used to be a lot more you could do on this app without paying money. You could change your elves and download multiple elf combinations of the song. Now you can do once a day and then you have to pay for high resolution download. Can I just have the silly low resolution one back for free? ✓ Warning!!! You buy and you don't get the dances!!!😡I bought this app some time ago and I purchased a couple of dances at first, liked it enough to buy the entire lot of dance styles. Then it would ask me to purchase it again as if I hadn't purchased the dances. Then when you ask what's going on, you get no response. The developers for this game are only interested in getting your money again and again and again and again never respond when you inquire why, if iced purchased everything, why am I being asked to repurchase again. Good app, would be great if they’d fix the honest issues of continuing to ask for payment when they’ve received yet don’t respond if there’s an issue. Play and or pay at your own risk. ✓ Singing?There is only one song where the elves sing, I remember a few years back that the elves could sing to way more songs, get more songs to sing to instead of just dancing, it’s better with singing. Also gets boring quite quickly.Version: 8.1.1

✓ Great but...This app is great. It makes me, my family, and my friends laugh. But on thing I've noticed recently is that every time I make a video, and I try to save it by pressing the download button, it says preparing video, then takes me back to my home screen. If I try to open the app again, it goes back to the main menu and the video I just tried to save was deleted. If the developers fixed this, the app would be five stars. ✓ Download times are inexcusableWhen this app first came out, it was great. The dances were downloaded to iTunes and the phones were synced. A laptop at home could download the files over night and be synced in the morning. Now, it takes FOR-EH-VER to download one dance file let alone all the ones I paid for in the past via wifi. Very disappointing. Well, I would have given it one, but there is still a slight cuteness factor if you can put up with the interminably slow downloads for a single dance file. I won’t be. ✓ Someone is watching youI was on elf yourself and I was making elf’s out of my family and as I played one of the songs that were for free I was watching the video and saw my little sister have a glitch on her face. When I saved the video to my camera roll I played it and stopped the video at the right moment and was terrified for what I had saw. It was a mans face on my sisters face. That was the glitch I saw. I had a feeling someone was watching me through my camera. Or hacking me. Who ever created this app is most likely responsible for this and is rather watching you or someone is hacking and watching us. Be careful guys. If I could rate it 0 stars I would!.Version: 7.1.0
✓ Wish I could give it zero stars - have to re-buy every timeFor some weird reason I always have to re-purchase the songs Iv already purchased. Iv never had to do that with another app. Some Iv had for ten years. You think because it’s seasonal you can just people buying the exact same thing every year. ✓ Do not spend any money on this gameDon’t spend money on this game cause you won’t get your items back. Last year I bought so many dances and was exited to us them this season. So I tried the restore purchases button, and when I pressed on it it said “downloading dances” I stayed on this loading screen for 45 minutes and right before the loading finished, the app closed and said downloading failed. Not buying again.I made the mistake of paying to unlock all the ElfYourself songs previously last year, as clearly most of the songs are pay to use, I did this thinking that the purchase would remain with me to use in the future. This year not having deleted the app from last year upon opening it again to make a video to send to my Nan, I find I have to pay again to use the features which I have already paid for last year (which was around £4.99). It would appear each year you need to buy the bundle again to use the songs which you already had access to from the year before. I will add I would of contacted the app maker directly and thus avoided this negative review. But on the contact directly link within the app support page for elfyourslef (within the App Store), when you click on the link provided I get taken to a link promoting “magic mirror” which is another app completely by the same developer. So not only have all my paid for features disappeared, the app has zero support to actually communicate with anyone about problems which you may come across. Brilliant stuff. Deleted and good bye. ✓ Really?!So I used to have this app last year, at Christmas time and years before that on my parent’s phone. But every year, the price to buy dances either got higher or more dances would cost money. For instance there would only be like 4-6 dances that would cost money but now only 2 Dances are free?!!! ✓ Bored all readyI say that this app is just a complete waste of space. You know why because after the first two times of making your own it’s so boring. I can’t tell whether or it it is worthwhile in such a short preview and would prefer to see half the video or the whole on with a big logo or something faintly over the top so I know more about what I am purchasing. ✓ ElfYourselfThis app is absolutely rubbish, no offence to the developers. 1) It took about half an hour for this app to download, but then another 10 minutes for it to actually start; if this app was a game, I wouldn't mind, but on this occasion, my friends had come over and I really wanted to use it b4 they went, but couldn't bcoz of this stupid problem. 2) when I actually got to access this app, and after I had added all my pictures, the video took like 10 minutes to download, after which I was left with a blank screen, and the five elves popped up. A few minutes later, it went back to normal, but then it wouldn't let me press the play button!!! ✓ My complaintThis app seemed fun at first when I downloaded but there seems to be a problem with loading the dances. Every other year I have enjoyed the experience of the app and have been able to watch videos of the dancing although this year there seems to be a bug that needs to be fixed. Every time we go to watch the dance it is a black screen and downloading I have reset my phone multiple times to see if the phone was the problem although it wasn’t I have also gone on and of the app many times although nothing seems to fix it I hope the problem can be fixed. ✓ Spent $5.99 just to get all my videos to mark with #ElfYourselfI loved the app before. It was working great and I was able to produce wonderful little videos until today. I have to produce multiple videos for work event. I paid today $5.99 for in-app purchase to get access to 4 additional videos. To my disappointment all videos I produced and saved after this purchase are marked with huge #ElfYourself fraise in the upper right corner through all videos. If I was changed for the app and production of movies, I don’t need a developer to mark each of my video with the huge words #ElfYourself that destroy my videos. When I made an attempt to contact the developer by using the link provided by developer on the app page in Apple store I only got a blank page. This mean that the developer doesn’t support their application and cannot be contacted. What a waist of good product, time and money. I am ashamed to show to audience elf videos with the developer’s markings that take almost a quarter of the screen..Version: 6.0.1

✓ This app is horribleI bought 4 dances and tried to share one on Facebook and the app stalled. Waited 20 minutes and it never downloaded. Tried again, same thing. Shut my phone down abs restarted. The app came up but now I can’t access my dances. Restore purchases doesn’t work. Manage your dances doesn’t work and the FAQ is ridiculous. It guides you to steps that do not work (manage apps). Next, I made the mistake of buying all the songs which altogether cost about $5.99 and after the update I lost them all. ✓ UnfairI know this is a REALLY odd time to write a review since it’s summer. I wanted to say I think it’s unfair that ONLY TWO dances are free and tbh I am pretty disappointed. This app is funny, however I would not purchase anything from this app. I understand this app needs money but I would like if I could get more dances. That made my review drop the stars. If more dances were free I would give it 5. But until then 3 is what I think is best..Version: 9.2.0
✓ Great, but needs further improvement !I have to admit it’s fun at the very beginning, except for the part where there’s only one free dance and the rest you have to pay for !! ✓ Awful free songsElf yourself is as good an app as it always was in terms of how it works. The main problem is that they seem to have deliberately chosen horrible free songs. We want the Christmassy ones not elves dancing on a beach or elves in a hunky tonk bar. What’s festive about that? So disappointing. ✓ Goes to black screenI wrote the same review as I did a couple/ few years ago that after the Wreath icon appears it automatically goes to black screen. I’ve tapped on the screen, I’ve waited patiently and then I finally shut down my device because I’m not certain if the app somehow shut down my device or if the app was still on black screen. The app was still on black screen. Geez I would think that the developer would finally correct this issue but it appears not! The developer can add as many new features as they want but if it only causes my iPod (7th generation) to go to black screen then what good are they? ✓ Not worth the space on my deviceMy friend decided to download this app, so I decided to download it as well. However, the app did not live up to either of our expectations. ✓ Won't work properly with iPhone XIPhone X is a huge release from Apple & apps must be updated to work without the old home button that previous iPhones had. iPhone X has been out for 2 weeks now and when I open this app, I cannot close it by swiping up from the bottom of the screen as you're supposed to do to go home on the device. The only way to exit the app is to shut the device off and turn it back on or pull down the notification screen and click on a notification. The app also doesn't fit the new larger iPhone X screen properly. PLEASE UPDATE the app for iPhone X users..Version: 5.2.1
✓ Fun at FirstI downloaded this app two or three years ago, and without having made any purchases, it was hilarious. Then yesterday I took another look at it, and decided to buy the $5.99 dance package. I tapped the “download all” button, then went off to do something else while I waited. Today, my faces are still there, but I can’t find a way to get the app to actually work; I just get redirected to “add more elves”. I have quite enough elves! I do not want a swarm of them! Thank you. The “App Support” button takes me to a weird no-man’s land, and tapping the developer’s name is equally unhelpful. ✓ Agree with others use to be a great fun app for the holiday seasonDo not download or buy I purchased elf yourself and all 19 dances and just recently upgraded my iPhone to the new 12 Pro, after the latest elf yourself update it is saying I have to purchase all the dances again or pay for a 1 year subscription. I get that you want to switch to a subscription model, but removing what was already purchased doesn't seem right. I tried the restore purchases option mentioned in the FAQ, but it still says I need to purchase them. I am signed in as the same Apple account on my iPhone and iPad, but my iPad hasn't updated the app yet and where as my iPhone has, and I can no longer use my purchases on my iPhone. I contacted support and even sent them a screen shot of the purchase history from my iPhone and screen shots of my iPad which shows that I have made the in app purchases. This seems wrong to remove purchased items and make people rebut them now under the subscription model..Version: 9.0.0

But this year it crashed multiple times, wouldn’t load many pictures to use, and - the kicker - when I shared it to Facebook which is the entire point of me using the app it immediately received a Warner Brothers copyright strike and had to be removed; this makes using the app completely pointless. ✓ Succumbed to commercialisationThis used to be a fun app. Part of the routine Xmas prep. This year it’s just become too hard to use. Previous dances won’t download and further cash is needed to download a half decent version of the clip.
