✓ Home Run!If you've skimmed through the other reviews then you already know that this is a very easy to use music creation tool. I can't really say it any better than they already have. But there is something that people are missing. This is also a very good relaxation therapy app. Even if you only use the internal synth you can't help but feel good as you create random patterns that are wonderfully musical. You might stumble upon a progression to use in a song while simply trying to relax. Pick this app up. You won't regret it and it won't be useless by next month. It just keeps giving..Version: 1.0.1

You are saying that the app is no good only because it's $15. Would you give it 5 stars if it was $5? Why do you think we rate apps? It's to help others to know if it's good or not. If you think the app is good but too expensive, you might want to rate it without considering the price and mention in the review that you think it's too expensive and why. The problem your way is that people see the number of stars and won't even read the reviews. How can you give such a bad rating for an app like this only because it's $15. That's the price of a meal at Macdonald's or a coffee and muffin for you and a friend. $15 is nothing these days. Do you know how hard it is to create an app like this? Very very hard. Very few developers can do it. Think before you give a rating. Think about what it's for. It's not for you to express your frustration about being broke and expecting all apps to be free or $1.99. ✓ Well worth it...I thought $20 was kind of steep for an arpeggiator, but after about 5 minutes I was very happy I went for it. I love the simple sounds that come with it, but it really shines when controlling my external hardware and even other iOS synths. So many options and different styles make it incredibly versatile and the possibilities are virtually endless! Newly added Audiobus support makes it a no brainer. ✓ One minor issueOne thing I find very annoying about this app is it doesn't support screen rotation. Most of the music apps I've used are landscape layout so bouncing between apps means rotating my tablet back and forth, this is a speed bump in work flow. Beyond that its of my fav apps, it works with my maudio UNO with a camera connector and can brings some amazing arps to my hardware synths..Version: 1.0.1

✓ Fun out of the box; some suggestionsMuch thought has already gone into this. There's a lot to absorb, but you don't have to grasp everything all at once. After I'd had the app for a couple weeks, I reread the "iOS Music and You" review on the web, and a number of things fell into place. Some things that I think would be reasonable to expect in a v1.1 or 1.2: 1. Landscape mode with slightly larger note buttons and a narrower range of rhythms. As Chip points out in the aforementioned review, it's rare to move between whole notes and 128th notes in a single song. I have average-size fingertips and find the note buttons just a tiny bit small. 2. Audiobus controls. I don't need to record the internal synth, but I would like transport controls for the app I'm recording another synth into..Version: 1.0.1

✓ Almost too much fun.This thing is so crazy I can't believe it's even LEGAL. *update: Again, the best money I've spent on an app since Lemur but one thing it desperately needs is panorama view. This is a great tool for controlling synths in your DAW via a dock or something, and most decent synth apps in the iPad don't have portrait view so either way you'll have to be rotating the iPad. Now, this might sound like a small, whiny complaint but it's actually a compliment to the Arpeggionome itself... It's so useful and brilliant and fun and DEEP that you don't want even the slightest interruption once you get going with it. SO WORTH HAVING, it's making every app & instrument in my computer come alive and seem brand new again. And I haven't even tried it on a drum kit yet..Version: 1.0.1

✓ Great app, but not universalAs others have noted, this is a fantastic arp that opens up a ton of creative possibilities. My only complaint is that it isn't universal, so if I want to have this on my iPhone as well as my iPad, I have to buy the app again. And then since they're separate apps, synching your custom presets between devices is a tedious export/import process rather than seamless/automatic. ✓ AwesomeSuch a cool transformation of an iPad into a really useful customizable synth. Really great. You can tell it's not up to par with figure by propellerheads but only in its slightly cramped controls. Easily makes up for it with so many though. ONE THING ID REALLY LIKE TO SEE is the knobs to be controlled by linear motion of your finger so instead of having to actually rotate the knob with your finger you'd just hit the knob and "rotate" it just by sliding your finger up or down like you would if there were a fader there..Version: 1.2.0

✓ Instant joy and plays nice with other appsWell done! This thing was intuitive and useful right out of the box, a great UI that makes it easy to be creative. A nice addition is being able to change the color scheme to make the buttons more readable. Lots of great patterns here, and TONS of user presets to save a gajillion of my own patterns. With virtualMIDI it plays nicely with Sampletank and SampleWiz as well as all the other apps mentioned already, so I can arpeggiate with my own sounds until the cows come home. Nice! ✓ ExcellentThis is such a good app, its midi integration is flawless and has no latency whatsoever even when swapping between apps inside the program. One of the great things with this is that once you have an arpeggio set up and running from say Animoog or Sunrizer you can then hop over to that program and tweak with it as much as you like..All in all a very versatile and useful app with stacks of potential..A few people have complained that the price is high, however it takes along time to produce something of this quality and functionality, so I think the price is fair plus the fact that there are no hidden in app purchases to worry about..i.e you may get Alchemy Mobile for free but if you want all its function and sounds it will cost you a bundle more, look at the brilliant animoog for instance, not only does it cost a stack but it also has in app stuff to buy...So all in all if you buy this you will get a solid reliable and most excellent midi controller and synth...five stars....Version: 1.0.1

✓ Love this app!This app seems to have limitless possibilities. I recommend going to settings and setting the knobs to horizontal for easier use. Once they are set, touch the knob, drag your finger vertically then horizontally, this will let you see what the knob is set to. ( this would have been a better default setting as the knobs are difficult to use otherwise). The more I experiment with this the more fun it becomes..Version: 1.2.1
