Pretty good, wish there were more circuits providedI purchased this app to help with interval training at home as having two kids involved in many sports makes it difficult to get to the gym as much as I would like. The tabata 200 is nice in a pinch and you can make your own workouts as well. It does what I need for the most part..Version: 2.2

Pro's & Cont'sHi, I've been using the app for a week and a half, and these are the things I see good and bad on it: Good: 1- You can set your training to be tabata, hit or standard. It also provides you with a timer and videos to keep form and focus while working out. 2- You can create your own trainings. 3- They provide a full body map so you can select excs based on group muscle. 4- They have an ok amount of excs included. Bad: 1- The app is good for a month or two. Just like on any gym you will need to rotate your program every month or so, and the amount of excs they offer is limited if you are looking to use the app long term. 2- If the developers invest on it and provide periodical updates with additional excs, then I think the app is a keeper but we will need to wait and see... I personally would like to see new updates instead of looking for a new app to purchase. Thanks!.Version: 2.4

Great gym buddyWe all know the hardest thing about going to gym, working out and keeping fit is sticking to it. It's also really important to know what you're doing so you can get the most out of your time whilst your there - most gym introduction courses don't tell you anything useful, they're are there purely as an anti litigation exercise. So this app is a great gym buddy, loads of exercises to keep your body guessing and to get results fast, clearly shown videos on how to do them, build your workouts, target the areas you want to really target (just tap the muscles on the diagram and it filters the relevant exercises for you!). Well worth downloading!.Version: 2.2

Less than expectedI thought this would have more than 2 pre-built workouts. There are only 2 - tabata and 200 reps challenge. During tabata the counter is bigger than the video of the person doing the workout. It should be the other way around. However I did tabata for 10 minutes and it woke me up. The Build yourself part allows you to build your own workout from 25 beginner exercises, 36 medium exercises and 3 hard exercises. There is also a skeleton where if you click a particular muscle, it shows you which exercises work that muscle. Then once you build your workout you can select from 4 workout types - standard, tabata, HIIT and circle. You can customize reps, rest time and workout time. This part is outstanding compared to the pre-built workout part. The app writes your workout minutes and calories to Apple Health..Version: 2.5.3

Awesome App for Simple to Advanced Dumbbell Exercises!This has to be one of the easiest apps to follow and stick to! I can tell you enough how much I really enjoy working out with this app! Once you've gotten accustomed to their default sets, you can be as creative as you'd like, catering the workout to your own target! Let me tell you, the easiest way to workout is to enjoy it, so if you think it is work, then chances are you aren't going to stick with it. Virtual Trainer Dumbbell makes hard workouts FUN!!! Great workout appThese are best workout apps I have found - easy to create new workouts, set for time or reps, and demo videos are well done ... Hope more dumbbell exercises added soon. Would also be good to be able to synch between ipad and iphone. I also recommend checking out some of the other workout apps by same developers especially the QuickStart app - choose available equipment and generate quick workouts.Version: 2.2

Excellent training aid !Great app. Not wanting to write all over a chart to plan my workouts - this is ideal. Great function to isolate exercises by muscle group with a simple drag and drop into a workout. Videos really help ensure you keep form throughout the workout. One suggestion - be good to record the weight you use against each exercise..Version: 2.2

Excellent app.Previous reviews are right. Quality app, allows you to create your own workouts. Choose and mix muscle groups to be worked, time/ number reps, rest time, number of sets. Shows the time the workout will take. You can properly tailor a workout to your needs. Wish other apps that said this, actually did it! I'm impressed..Version: 2.4

Nice, clean interfaceFirst day using it, and I worked up a sweat. I am trying to shed some pounds I packed on over the years and gain some muscle back as well. Overall, it has a clean, professional-looking interface and it is certainly customizable. The biggest downfall for the novice is the lack of pre-designed workout sessions. But, it does have a filter that allows you to select a body area of focus, and it displays the appropriate exercises for you to add to the workout. So, the lack of a pre-fab workout shouldn't dissuade you from trying the app. Additionally, I didn't see any option to add my own exercises, but it's not a huge issue to me..Version: 2.4
