Barcode scannerThis is by far a rip off. I have just paid £1.49 for an app which I wanted a barcode scanner to point food. This app is false advertisement. You have to enter everything manually. Asking for a refund would obviously be too much to ask these days!!! Absolutely disgusted. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS APP..Version: 1.3.5

I’m tornOn one hand, I really like the app. When I use it consistently, I lose weight. On the other hand, I’m irritated. I paid for the app and the extra features a while ago only to have those features taken away and made into the premium monthly subscription features. It’s really frustrating. What did I pay for then?.Version: 2.3.3

Not anymoreI used to like be pro tracker until they changed it and change the point system I’ve now had to but a new app it’s just not worth it any more and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.Version: 2.4.2

Aide pour rentrée alimentJe ne sais pas comment enregistrer mes repas j’ai écrie mes 3repas j’ai pesé sur enregistré seulement le déjeuné a été enregistré comment remplies le journal.Version: 2.4.2

Not sure about the new version, love the customer supportI bought ProTracker after the "original" point tracking app became bloated & full of feature creep. All I wanted was a simple, clean app to make tracking quick & easy. When ver 2 rolled out recently, I felt like the developer had fallen into the same trap - adding too much stuff & getting away from the original economical design. I will say this: the response to customer feedback is outstanding. As in: I received responses in minutes, not the usual 2 business days most places seem to allow themselves. I'm still not entirely sure about the changes, but I'm very impressed with the people developing the app & am sticking with it for now..Version: 2.0.2

Waste of moneyNo good.Version: 1.0.6

Love this app!Update. I came back to use the app again after a break. Very disappointed I now have to pay for stuff that was included before. I will be using my Fitbit app instead. I have been using this app since May and have lost 28 lbs in 3 and a half months! It makes me think more about whether a food is worth the points. It has helped me plan my food for the day and keep on track!.Version: 2.3.3

Knock-off WW app that wants you to pay WW prices?!I purchased this app about two years ago because it was one flat fee and I got pretty much everything that I was getting with the weight watchers app and membership, without the ridiculous membership. Now, they have taken away features and want to charge their own ridiculous membership fees to allow it to function as it once did. I’m very disappointed in the shady practices. If you don’t mind paying a low flat fee for just a basic tracker, then this would be fine. If you are looking for a knock-off weight watchers app don’t waste your money here because you might as well pay the crazy WW prices to get what you want from the source..Version: 2.3.3

Dishonest Format ChangeI totally understand the economics behind changing software to a subscription model. When done right, it’s a good deal for both the consumer and the software developer. Here’s how you do it correctly: 1) Come up with value-add “premium” services that consumers are willing to pay a monthly fee for. 2) Charge consumers who opt in to those services a monthly fee. Here’s how you don’t do it: 1) Have thousands of users purchase your app to help you fund your company’s growth. 2) Erect a pay wall so that all your users now have to pay a monthly fee for services they already paid for. This is incredibly disappointing and dishonest..Version: 2.3.2

Terrible don't payThis app is not ready for use. Has potential but has no foods pre added wants user to do everything. Can only add full points no option for half points. Total waste of time and money..Version: 1.6.2

Was GoodCannot use app since last update. All it will let me do is print out a weekly report...?.Version: 2.2

Including daily tota calorie intakeGood app but it would be much more convenient if you include the total calory intake from the macros values especially that individual calorie values available. I always have to open calculator and do the math..Version: 2.4.2

Not ready for release yet!You can't use this on an iPad as you can't set your profile details properly. You can on an iPhone but there's no way to sync the data between devices (really? Come on!). The library of foods doesn't even include things like white coffee. This is more like a beta version of an app that has potential. Strongly advise against paying for it until they've made it work like a release version should..Version: 1.6.2

Points changing when you scan ??I have been in the points plus for a couple years . That works for me. I know enough to know what the old points values were. However when I scan items they now come in at values higher than before. Same product no changes . I think it’s putting in the smart points amounts instead of point plus . Mucks up everything and then since you don’t eat enough your body decides it’s starving and you don’t lose weight . What gives with the different points ? You can look these up in the “food” and the correct points are there. Just much quicker to scan if only it worked right ..Version: 2.4.7

Cant TAKE features I Bought and charge me for themI paid for the app and a set of features. Developer decided to upgrade. No issue, I’ll pay for new features. Locking me out of features in the version I paid for is not an option. So far, they are silent about my request to communicate. ——— Previous 4 Star Review Great so Far I've used this app for a couple of weeks. I used to use Weight Watchers (WW), but they are mining their good will, instead of maintaining their app. This one gives me the points plus I liked so much. Many features are superior to the WW app, especially the speed of online lookup. It is harder to create and track your meals. I wish the app had more reporting capabilities, import recipes, use boolean search and allow tracking of more than the 4 nutritional values. The app returns to the Weekly Summary every time, and I wish it let me choose Diary instead. This is the best app I've found, losing 2-3 lbs a week and feeling good about it. I am happy with my purchase..Version: 2.3.2

Limited services and customizationI bought the year subscription after having limited selection in using the app. After buying the subscription I realized that I can only use the app with a VPN (I live in China). The barcode scanner has never worked even on products from America. The food search is extremely limited in what is already available. And the point system doesn’t really seem to make sense as it was never clearly explained how the points are used to decipher your meals or foods. I have been using another app that is free with a possible subscription, that has much more accessibility and customization however the cost of the subscription is more expensive. The reason I bought this subscription was because of the price but then I found out that it was pretty useless in comparison to the other application I am using..Version: 2.4.2

Unable to registerCan’t register, the system keeps saying email address is registered previously. Tried to sign in instead, still unable to log in..Version: 2.4.2

Not like it used to be... :(I purchased this app a few years ago and I had access to everything. Now, they update the app and lock me out of almost everything. I refuse to pay a monthly fee for something I already purchased. I think the right thing to do, would be to “grandfather in” the members who bought this app years ago. When I spoke to their agent, they told me I have been getting free service long enough and if I want full access, I would have to pay the monthly fee. ...RUDE Also, the point values aren’t accurate when you save the dinner in the “meal” section. I brought this up, and they gave a song and dance that didn’t make any sense. A few years ago, I would give 5 stars, but today, I give one...for not supporting and caring for your past members who helped you grow this app...shame on all of you..Version: 2.3.3

Update - Ads!!!Just opened the app today and still have the ads, mentioned below weeks ago, showing up even though I paid for a premium subscription. Very discouraging!!! I paid for an annual subscription so I would not have to deal with the very annoying ads and they have returned. If you think $40 a year ought to make an app ad-free, think again. A Pro Tracker Plus subscription now has annoying ads. Shame on whoever made that decision..Version: 2.4.2

No ready for releaseNeeds work. Hard to navigate. I want a app that will be my diet coach in a pocket. Keep trying. The icons are cute..Version: 1.6.2

New Logo and ColourI really liked the previous logo and colours. This one I HATE! It might be brighter to attract attention. However, the former log was stylish, tasteful and attractive. Please bring back the old log! It’s not just the logo colour which has changed. The progress for weight is now orange, whereas the former colour was blue & restful. I will be re-installing the former version..Version: 1.3.2

I wanted to like this appI upgraded to pro so I could use the smart points option. There was no way to preview this in free version. It took less than 24 hours to realize not what I needed The overly complicated steps to try and “tag” something for zero points is ridiculous. There’s no easy way to change something. I canceled the subscription within 24 hours. I didn’t expect this to be an exact duplicate of the app I was trying to replace. I’m OK with learning something new. I’m just annoyed with the promises of being similar to what I needed with paid upgraded. Give a two day or three day trial. Seeing “ In a future update, we plan on adding…” in the help section is frustrating. With all of my frustration, I think the app is good as a stand-alone product. It’s just NOT a good replacement for WW app IMO. For me it’s a one star, but could work for others..Version: 3.2.7

No calculator now- and can't track fast foods- stinks!I will not use this app anymore. Without The Calculator it's almost impossible to to figure out points for sooo many foods that are not included in their database. It also stinks because there is not an up-to-date comprehensive list of any fast food chains and their foods as well. I paid for this and when I paid for it, it had the calculator. I feel ripped off. I'll never download another app from this company again..Version: 2.2.1

Avoid this developer- unfair biz practicesI bought this app years ago as a one time purchase before they moved to a subscription model. Rather than just add a new app to the app store with better features for subscription while leaving those who purchased it the option to keep their paid app or move to the upgraded subscription version at cost, they updated the original app and treated former customers like me as though I never paid outright for the use of the original app. Disrespectful indeed! In order to get features I had in the paid app, they wanted me to upgrade to a subscription! I refused as I wondered what else they’d take later if I did that. I wrote them and got no response, no resolution, no refund, nothing. Imagine my surprise (not!) browsing through apps years later and happening upon it again, only to see a complaint by someone else where they got no response after they updated and wound up losing former functionality and gaining a hefty price tag! This company has horrible business practices and I just wanted to second what the other angry user said because after all this time, they’re still doing the same thing! Even if they offered them to be grandfathered in (I doubt that wasn’t just for show because reviews can be seen by the public), I say BUYER BEWARE!.Version: 3.2.7

Would be good but...I would have given the earlier version 5 stars but not so this one. Like the gist of what the app offers. However have had issues with calculating points. There is no simple points calculator - you have to enter the name of the product, lots of information and then press submit and track. Would be helpful to have a simple points calculator. Also when I search for food on the database there are many incorrect entries . When I submit and track food myself it isn't on the database for me to find again..Version: 2.1.3

Poor implementationApp has potential but at this time should be considered beta only. Food inputs very limited. Strange units..Version: 1.6.2

InaccurateSimilar in appearance and functionality as WW app but points calculator gives different figures to official app and appears to therefore be inaccurate. Calculator only works on a per 100g basis so unable to work out points values per portion. All in all an ok app but personally I doubt the accuracy as an alternative to WW on which i have lost 2.5 stone..Version: 1.2.2

Automatic renewal makes it impossible to quit if you payI paid for a one year subscription to this app and was happy with it until it automatically renewed after a year and left me zero option to cancel. I was sent the same link when I contacted the company and it had no place to unsubscribe on it. Do not pay for the premium unless u are ready to continue paying every year. I still don’t know what do to and how to get myself off their app yearly renewal. Super problematic....Version: 2.4.5

DisappointedWell, I tried to start the program, the app instructed me to follow each step to start, when it got to your starting weight I entered that and hit the “next” button, then it asked me to enter my goal weight and when I did it would not let me enter that number and said something about your goal weight can’t be more than current ?? Very weird, so I deleted, not worth the effort of trying to figure this out..Version: 3.2.5

Wrong informationThis app is an inadequate copy. I found this app when searching for Weight Watchers Pro Points app. It stated Weight Watchers so I thought it was the same. I have been using it for a week then realised the points given are not the same as Weight Watchers. Therefore I have been calculating incorrect points and gone over my daily allowance. The food database is very poor, and the barcode scanner never recognised an item. I have now found the official weight watchers app and managed to log in, so after a wasted week should now be able to get back on track..Version: 1.6.2

Can't change detailsThis app won't let me be born in any other year than 1980 and won't let me be anything but 5'6" - I think it needs some tweaking before it can be rated properly..Version: 1.6.2

No Apple Watch App?I purchased the yearly subscription with the assumption that there is an Apple Watch app based on that I had searched about the paid version -is there not an Apple Watch app where you can see how many points remain in your day?.Version: 2.4.7

Needs workLots of bugs.Version: 2.4.7

September update.I have been using the app for a long time, more than a year, and I have always been able to use the healthy checks to track my water/vitamins/oils etc. And now they update and I have to pay extra to use them.. not happy about that. The app is good, sometimes points are not accurate, but when you have been using PP for a long time you know how much your regular foods are worth, but it doesn't seem fair to me to have to pay for a feature that I already had and used..Version: 2.3

Used to love it. Ads make it really hard to log food nowI used to love this app and was happy to pay for it. The one time paid version was perfect until the recent update. Now the ads creep all the way up the screen while you’re trying to track food. It’s hard to do it with an add blocking everything. The monthly charge to get rid of ads is too much..Version: 2.4.9

WorstWorst garbage app ever! Constantly pops up with ads, difficult to use! Crashes! Not even worth a star! If you want a fairly good app go use MyFitnessPal think I am going back to that app. This one is terrible.Version: 2.3.3

Money Back Please!Read the glowing reports thinking there would be a great database of foods, and looking to manage clean, solid, weight gain! Nope... Can't have a target weight higher than current and the database is very basic, i.e. Salmon shows canned fish! Please put in large print at top of description " For weight loss only"..Version: 1.7

Great app with lots of inaccuraciesAnd missing macro nutrition info. In all honestly, I hate to give the low review since this app has some great futures and is generally easy to use. But working with the app on daily basis can result in frustration. A few examples are: I couldn’t find “hard boiled egg white”... I found a lot of items, but not what I was looking for. I am sure I would have find it eventually, but the basics should be on the top of the list. Scanning barcode is a great and easy way to add foods until you find it is not accurate and the nutritional values are not the same on the package. This is actually risky for people like myself with health issues that can get worse if I don’t pay attention. One more small annoyance is after you are adding food after search. You gotta tap to clear the search box, then tap on cancel than tap on done. I am sure there’s a better way around all the extra tapping. I hope that they will fix these issues with time, I will edit my review and score accordingly..Version: 2.4.19

Kinda does what I needThere are some good things about this app as it tracks food and exercise without the gross expense of the Weight Watchers app but as with many apps it is very Americancentric so a lot of NZ foods are not listed and it is annoyingly unclear at times but that is true of the WW points system too so within tolerance. Recommended..Version: 1.7

Not goodI am unable to download this app to my iPhone 8, I keep getting network error or unable to connect to host..Version: 2.3.3

New versionDisapointed that the breastfeeding option is no more available and that we can't registered a food manually by its number of points..Version: 2.0

Not WorkingHow can I get refunded? Paid the 4.99 for the Smart points but will not work. At first I thought the payment didn’t go through but when I tried it it again it said I already have it but then when i set it it smart it jumps over to the page to purchase the app. Have emailed them two times but have heard nothing from them. Finally heard from them and they said delete then download again which I did but still didn’t work. Been trying to get this to work sense Saturday. Guess if you want the other options that free it’s great..Version: 2.4.1

Was excellent, then perfect, now frustratingI think this app is great, but . . . I have an issue now that infuriates me. I purchased Premium and am paid up through Sept. 2019. The app kept freezing and so I uninstalled and reinstalled it. Now I’m getting the ads and I can’t track the “Checks” (water, etc.). When I go to “upgrade to Premium” it acknowledges that I am on Premium but I still can’t work the app as though I actually AM on Premium. I have gone to Support several times and have gotten NO RESPONSE. Maybe this rating will get a response. Helloooo??? Is anybody there?.Version: 2.4.7

Cool but lacks inclusivityJust downloaded this app and it seems cool. But when I got to what my goal is there were only two options - lose or maintain weight. I need to track my food to help me gain weight. I could select maintain weight but that’s not really my goal. Leaving a 1 star in hopes the dev team see this and put in another category for people that would like to use their app to return to a healthy weight by tracking their food and gaining weight..Version: 5.6.1

RegretfulI just downloaded the new interface and regret that I did. The old interface had basically all the same functionality as the updated app. Knowing I would lose my meals and all the information I entered when changing to the new interface, I did it anyway. I thought I would get some really useful features. All I have now are ADS, ADS, ADS. If I want to have the app without ads and “more cool features”, I have to upgrade to Premium which includes the option of a monthly or annual fee..Version: 2.4.2

Disrespecting their customers.Like so many who have given this app one star, I bought the app as a one time purchase a few years ago. I am now going to find out if there’s an option to complain to the iTunes Store about this company’s business practices. I was sold one thing, then, about a year ago, I get an “update” that takes features that I previously paid for and locks them behind a pay wall. My husband luckily never updated his app and he still has the points calculator and the meal builder & other features, with no monthly subscription. How unfair is that? I understand the company wants to make money, but this was deceptive. I would love to know if it’s possible to restore the app as I purchased it through iTunes. I plan to research that. When it happened, I sent an inquiry to the company through the “contact us” in the app. No one ever reached out to me. It’s a shame because I would have given the app as I purchased it a high rating. It’s not worth the price of a subscription though. Not even close. They should have raised the one-time purchase price, so only new customers would be affected..Version: 2.4.5

Frustrated!I initially liked this app a lot when I first purchased it! It met all my needs and did all it promised to do. Then suddenly it will no longer work correctly with my fit bit app. Originally the apps linked fine...now it is hit and miss. If I want the app to sync with Fitbit I have to go into permissions and then some times it will sync sometimes it doesn’t. When it does sync it will not correct previous days. I have contacted administrator 3 times! After the 3rd time I got a generic response saying they are looking into it. I have not heard anything since. It is still not working. I bought a year subscription and will not be renewing if this does not get corrected!.Version: 2.4.5

Too many adsThe app is good, but too many ads! I’ll probably delete the app because of the annoying ads..Version: 2.3.3

Great App!App works Great as it always has, new update makes it so you can not manually change your daily points anymore, can only use the calculated total. It also took away Fitbit integration and you now have to pay for this! I loved app prior to update and would give it 5 stars before they started charging more money for services that were once included..Version: 2.3

WW app pro tracker plusIt's excellent, but could do with more foods in the pocket guide..Version: 1.2.2

A DELIBERATE removal of the calculator for counting pointsYet in the new update still include, POINTS as well as kcal and serving in description below each food or meal choice. Obviously the calculator was part of the ORIGINAL app offering and this LEGACY crap is about cutting out people that can’t afford to pay for the app. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. There is always WW instead. Tacky alway shows it’s ugly face!.Version: 5.5.6

Horrible updateThey just updated their app that now has annoying ads, removed former functions if you don't PAY for them now, including the move burn counter. Way to go pushing away your former users. This app sucks now..Version: 2.3

Really disappointed !I wish I hasn't paid £2.99 for this app. It's a rip off of my fitness pal. I wanted something quick to help me with the food shopping which calculated points instead of calories! Tried to barcode scan every item in my cupboard to trial , unfortunately not one item was recognised and able to tell me points value. I would have to put all details in myself to calculate points. Definitely not 250,000 bar codes loaded on the app as the description states !!.Version: 1.5.1

Went back to version 1.7I fired up ProTracker this morning after not using it for awhile and found that it had updated to the new 2.0+ version. Apparently the "ability to create a [sic] account to safely store you [sic] data in the cloud..." feature in version 2.0 actually means "you have no choice but to create an account to use this app". As far as I can tell there is no way to skip this step. Sorry, but I have no interest in creating an account and giving you my information just to track some numbers. I am all for the option of creating an account for cloud access, but forcing me to do so is something I am not interested in. Thankfully I was able to revert to version 1.7 and continue using the app for what I need. The old version was very useful. I you are like me and don't like having to create accounts for each and every app you use then you should avoid ProTracker..Version: 1.7

Calorie count still not thereVery disappointed. I’ve updated, twice, and the calorie count is still not in my app. I’ve also deleted and reinstalled. Still no calorie count. Thank goodness I haven’t updated my tablet otherwise I’d be lost. Get your act together!!!.Version: 2.4.1

Good app!Very good app! Im having a little hard time trying to find the value of my food Pocket guide needs to be up dated . I'm used to WW app that has thousands if food in there tracking app. And also every time a do my exercises I have to track it all over again because it can not be save in my favorites, but for 3.99$ I guess it all I can get!!! Over all good app! Need calculator and SmartPoints :(.Version: 2.2.1

Not too bad. It's a shame there's no option for changing the app to kilojoules instead of calories and from ounces to grams. Would probably help if there was also half points too..Version: 1.6.2

Pro TrackerUpdate **changing rating to a 2 because whenever I add new food, it eventually disappears from the app and it is infuriating constantly having to put all the details in the next time I eat/drink that item** *old review* This app is great! I always get good results by tracking my week with this app. I have been using it a long time. However, sometimes when you calculate food points they seem to be lower than weight watchers says. Twice this app has failed for me and it won't work so you have to delete and download again which means all of your data is gone. Still worth 4 stars though..Version: 2.1.3

ProtrackerGives you some idea of the food that you are consuming with the point system n enables you to track your weight. I don't always agree with the point distribution for some foods and don't understand how the weekly points work. Nevertheless, helps me to stay focused. Sandra.Version: 1.2.2

Dismally disappointingWhat was once an excellent app has become a second class app, as a constant barage of "Ads" are now incorporated in the body of the app; the "check" part of the app that once allowed the user to update water usage, as well as the no. Of servgs of fruits amd veggies is now unavailable unless the user agrees to a monthly or an annual fee based upgrade. Shame! on the Designers of Protracker for literally ruining what was once a best in class food & activity tracker!!! - Greed never translates into long-term success..Version: 2.3.1

Ugh... Paid for App that Now has a Monthly SubscriptionI bought this app a few years ago and decided to redownload it and use it to get back on track and found out now there are a ton of ads and several features that used to be available now require a subscription to use. Not Cool! I’ll probably end up just deleting it and using something else because I don’t want to have to pay a monthly subscription. That’s the whole reason I quit weight watchers..Version: 2.4.2

Works well but....There is a little bug when entering information into the make up food. When you get to the Protein section, and you need to enter that info for each foodstuff you want to add to your own library, it does not remember that info, unless after entering the info, you click inside another input field. Hitting the DONE button does not make it accept the info you have entered into Protein. A little annoying, but hopefully fixed in an update yet to come..Version: 1.2.2

Asks for too much personal informationThe signup process for this app asks for things like email, name, and birthdate that have no relevance to calorie tracking (you could just ask for age and let people use the app without creating an account!) I’m pretty sure if you complete the signup process, they’ll sell your information. Deleted because there’s no way to just get this app to *do what it says on the tin* (count calories) without giving up all that personal information. I’ll be trying something else..Version: 2.4.2

Unhappy customerThis app doesn't work as it doesn't read items barcode says unfound this app need to be up dated.Version: 1.4.3

System error-prone discard decimalsWhen capturing & saving new food items that has a decimal in the nutritional values, the app discards it i.e. 3.7g fat becomes 3g. This will obviously affect the points value of the item..Version: 2.3

Few improvements requiredApp is good but few additions would make it every bit as useful at the weightwatchers one. Food database is tiny Calculator only works out based on 100g. Needs a portion size option. Things like cereals are displayed by portion size as a cup. Grams would be more helpful.Version: 1.2.2
