✓ Great appI rely on this app daily to keep track of my accounts. I love this app does not connect to my bank accounts and that I have control to flag upcoming payments or deposits. I keep a running list all of my accounts - checking, savings, credit, HSA-all in one spot so I can quickly view when I need to. I like the simple design and that I can add details and categorize my debits/credits. Plus I like the addition of weekly, monthly and yearly report function. But it still proves plenty of detail for the vast majority of users. The most important features that are absolutely flawless is the sync between this and a Mac and that it keeps the correct running totals, including cleared and pending and presents it easily for you to see. For the price it does pretty good for a solid personal Money Manager between all my devices thru the iCloud. I went ahead and purchased this App for all my devices. However, it could use a few iOS enhancements as follows: It would be nice to be able to edit a list of Payee’s to Add, Change, or Delete like you can the Categories’. This would apply to the Mac OS as well It would be nice for a Transaction input field to capture a reference such as a Check#, or if a Card, ATM, Teller, or Online purchase was used. ✓ Great AppI’ve been using checkbook. It didn’t have the ability to split categories in the transaction. GreenBooks has this feature. So far, I’m loving it. It will definitely help me track my spending in Walmart (so many categories on one receipt). I didn’t need all of the bells and whistles with the bigger bookkeeping applications. Just a check register that splits categories of each transaction. After using the free version for a week or two, I purchased the unlimited version. Not had any issues. It does exactly what I expect. Looking around for a replacement I was excited to find Greenbooks. It fits my needs perfectly and has a similar functionality to YNAB, with which I was familiar. In some ways, Greenbooks is easier to use - entering or importing data is a snap, Direct Connect to your bank works well (not always the case with YNAB), and there are useful export options. The chart for monthly breakdown of costs is really helpful, providing both a summary and breakdowns by category. Setting up a budget for a month or for the year is straightforward, allows you to track the progress of your expenses against budget, and easily identify those transactions for categories that are over budget. I love the iOS version of the app, which is so simple that now I enter expenses as I make them - not later in the week or month, as was my previous (onerous) practice.
