✓ AnnoyingToo many times it offers a story with a video that you click on only for it to tell you it can’t be watched on your device or in your region. You know my device and region so don’t offer me the story in the first place if I can’t watch it!.Version: 1.19.2
✓ Temperamental thingFor such a huge corporation you'd think the BBC could manage to produce a reliable, and stable app. Sadly, you'd be mistaken. Frequently crashes or loses connection for no logical reason. Able to open the headline page and the rest are lost. The issues have been ongoing for over a year and still not sorted. I'd go some else for your sports news, in fact anywhere else.Version: 1.7.1

✓ Performance slow downIn the past months I have really noticed a drop in performance of the app. Where pages and links used to be snappy and quick, they now take a while to load. ✓ Great content. Too slow.Why does this app take so long to load? It’s been a “feature” for at least a year and seems to get worse. There’s clearly a problem in the way content is accessed from the server (have you heard of Akamai?) and makes using this app very frustrating. Often I just go elsewhere. If two LGBTIQA sportspeople adopt a baby, is that newsworthy on a sport app? I don’t think so. I enjoy the stories behind the headlines, and if race and gender are your key interests, you will be well served. If you want to know who won, and who your team are playing next, expect to have to wade through content that belongs in the ‘news’ section before getting to what you want. The app could be improved if you could filter out the content that doesn’t interest you, not just get updates on the content that does interest you..Version: 2.9.0

✓ Changes for the worseSeveral things irritate me about the BBC in general. Firstly, I’ve contributed to the BBC for over 40 years, through the licensing fee. Once I left England for Canada, my ability to receive any sport updates or videos was severely reduced. Since then, unless I decide to follow some leading top flight team or sport, the BBC Sports app decide to remove the ability to follow lower league teams. For example, all of a sudden, I can no longer follow Wigan Athletic live updates now and for no known purpose, justify any reason why this has changed. I feel as though I’ve paid my dues to the BBC, through good times and bad. Now feel totally impotent to affect how I’d like to receive news about the places I grew up around and the sports I took interest in. You’ve had my money, now offer me little service or say in what I want to see or follow..Version: 2.4.1
