✓ Makes images worseI used this to scan some documents I needed. It takes a long time for the picture to take (often after I had moved my phone) and it will make the image quality terrible, giving the impression that you used an old fax machine. I ended up just taking pictures of the document, which were high quality and readable. Do not bother with this app.Version: 4.1
✓ Changed what’s includedI used the free version and would accepted adverts and reduced functions. I only used it occasionally for a single page, certainly not enough to justify a full purchase. I’ve just come to use it after a few weeks to find I can’t use anything now without purchasing the full version. I can’t imagine all those free users moving to paid. Your paid users won’t want adverts and you’re now blocking the free users so guess your revenue from adverting space is going worth less. Surely you’re going to make less this way..Version: 6.0.3
✓ Useful but creates annoying spamHave to change my review. Great app, but you will not be aware if you send your scanned documents by email, then the receiver will receive duplicate emails of the same thing every 10 minutes for a week. Annoying to receivers. ✓ Upgrade.I used this product for a long time and it has been great. There was an upgrade a few days ago and I have sent three emails from the downloaded app with many concerns. I have not had responses. I would have sent email from to the email link on the app descriptor site but it isn’t hyperlinked. Hence my review. ✓ Paid for pro used for years and now it's reverted me to the free version somehow 😤Everything has been great with this app, which I use daily for my business, until it stopped auto uploading. I attempted to fix it and when that didn't work I reported it to the developer through the app. When I didn't hear anything I then reported it via their website and agin have not heard a thing. I paid for the pro version years ago and have used it happily until this happened. On the App Store it shows there is a pro version for 4.99 available and that I have the free one installed I do not know how, or why this has happened, but I would have hoped for some communication from the developer to sort it out. ✓ Hey it is now a subscription service!Paid for fully functional app but now is a subscription based service so effectively I cannot use the fu tonality I had already purchased. Thieving at its very best. Despite this is a useful app I’m not interested in funding your team. Give me back the app I had originally bought! ✓ Used to like it. It was only $12 to buy with no annual fee.I used to like it , did a good job. ✓ DisappointingI’ve actually paid for the upgrade to the pro version, but somehow this info has got lost (another reviewer also has this problem). Since iOS updated to 11.x in October, none of the extra features that I’m paying for work (batch uploads, directly uploading to google drive). The developers are apparently aware of errors, and are ‘working on them’, but this has been going on for too long now I was recommended this app, and it kindof works, as it does scan stuff. But personally I find it difficult and non intuitive to use, and I have switched to using a different scanning app.Version: 4.1
✓ Its stopped working? Usually awesomeI use this app all the time because its great but since the last update it doesnt work properly. It takes multiple pictures of the same sheet, tells you to hold it still which takes ages and then the delay is so long for it to ‘unfreeze’ that it then kicks you out if the app! ✓ Used to be the best.This app used to be the best scanner out there, and I have used many. However in the last update, a year ago, Tiny Scanner (Pro) lost its integration with online services such as Dropbox. It also lost its ability to name files based on the folder I place them in. Both of these are dealbreakers for me, as I rely on them extensively to organize my files. For example, it used to be I’d snap a picture of our phone bill and put it in the “Phone Bill” folder, and Tiny Scan would auto upload it to Dropbox with the name “Phone Bill (Today’s Date)”. Another app in Dropbox would then move it to the folder, “Phone Bills” subcategorized by year. Perfect!! But this functionality has been broken for over a year now, and multiple emails to the developer come back only with requests to “be patient.” Unfortunately I now have to find another app. Wish I knew how to go back to the old version..Version: 4.1

✓ Was once a 5 star app, new update ruined most useful featureNew update makes controlling the contrast of a scan incredibly clumsy and frustrating, resetting the page every time a slider is altered. App doesn’t leave the sliders open long enough for a user to see what they change and make a decision. This is a really crappy UI for an iphone now, and it’s so frustrating that I’m considering switching over to a competing camera scanner app because of it. I just want to be able to check that my writing on a scan is legible and the new update has made that 10 times harder. I appreciate the other options, but this one change is a big enough deal to lose multiple stars from my review. Suggestions to fix: make the contrast sliders stay onscreen until the user chooses to dismiss them. It’s that simple. Also let the visual result adjust itself without snapping back to the original unzoomed document size, comparison is easier that way. ✓ My documents are lostI have enjoyed using this app since 2016, and every time I upgraded my phone I always had this app with all my documents. Just las lt October I got a new phone and I redownloaded tiny scanner, and all my documents are missing. Very important ones, so I have reached out to the company and have no response. This application is only useful for sending a documents , but if you want to file it and keep it, you have no guarantee. ✓ Easy, quality and FastSimple app that does all you need from a simple scan to pdf. I use the paid version as it gives you much great use and well worth it. I like the fact that I can combine the options of selecting photos from phone library as well as taking photo in the app. Allows me to convert to black and white as well as full colour and then allow me to share via email, what’s app, and many other apps and choose the resolution. Saved me a ton of time on the toad trying to get important documents off in seconds as well as turn photos from events and presentations and create my own pdf of the event in the go..Version: 4.1
✓ Backward stepI have used tiny scan pro for some years and it has been excellent. I mainly use to take multiple site photos with border detection turned off. Unfortunately the new release 5 has automatic detection which cannot be disabled and this means I now have to go through every image one by one to adjust the borders. ✓ Upgraded phone and app is gone and I have to payI upgraded my phone and the app disappeared, or was replaced by a different app (fortunately my docs were there in this other random app). But now I have to subscribe to use the scanner app whereas before I had purchased it for unlimited use. It’s either a sneaky trick by the company to move people off one time purchase to regular subscription or it’s just a glitch. Either way it’s not good, especially with no explanation upfront. I’m happy to pay more but I want some notification before a switch like this happens. Without some explanation, I’m going to try something else now. ✓ Decent Scanner Poor Interface with DropboxAs far as scan apps are concerned this app performs pretty well. It offers limited ability to change contrast and color but for free who can complain. Most scanners do a poor reproduction of the original color document. Sadly in white page background the color scan shows the white as grey. But that is true of the other scanning apps I have tried. If edges are not detected to your satisfaction you can adjust easily with the touch of your finger. It handles multiple pages very well and saves the scans in logical manner. The downside is the limited function to export scans. Once you initial define your Google Drive or other external cloud service it is very difficult to change settings. For me, the big downside is the inability to save to Dropbox. The functionality is present but it no longer works. The first year or so of using the app it worked great but now no longer works. I contacted the company and they acknowledged the problem and asked for patience. That was about a month ago and no fix provided thus far. Still looking for a high quality scanning app..Version: 4.1

✓ Could be higher resOne gripe, then the good points. It could be higher res. The PDF's that it outputs are great in almost every other respect, but they are sized for a web browser in 2005. Great automatic cropping and skewing images to a flat straight "Scan". Really great, it beats the pants off all the other apps (I tried them all, even the paid ones). It's "scanning" options of colour/grayscale/photo (and one called document, which is a super punchy high saturation, high contrast option) are pretty much standard. It can handle scanning many multiple pages at a time, then processing them and making a PDF. I did 45 in a row, and it didn't crash..Version: 4.1

✓ Glitchy, unreliable and expensiveUsed this app for 3 years now as work requires timesheets submitted as PDFs via email. Despite paying for premium service, more often than not, emails never send first time. Makes no difference whether over Wi fi or mobile roaming. Very frustrating when you rely on this app to make pay roll dates in time. Has actually became more unreliable over time, so clearly companies updates etc are pretty non exsistent as no improvements ever forthcoming. ✓ Used to be a great appI’ve used tiny scanner for quite a few years and had found it to be great and very useful. Until last year that is. The app does not integrate to Dropbox any more. I contacted support mid last year and the prompt reply was “Thanks for your feedback. So sorry about the inconvenience. We have fixed the issue, but we’re working on adding some new functions to the next version, so please waiting some days patiently”. After some months I asked for an update. Received back exactly the same worded reply as the first time. Waited some more months and asked again. This time there are no replies. I believe the “Appxy Support Team” have abandoned the previous paid for app and lied about having an updated version. I would not trust them for any other app purchase in the future..Version: 4.1
✓ Great scanner/time and paper saverThe app itself is great for turning in paperwork to the office while out in the field (construction). I do have a couple of complaints, though. It doesn’t transfer any of your previous documents from a different phone or share with iPad. It also went from being a $5 one time purchase for the last 4 years with zero issues. I recently received a new work phone and now its around $30-$35 a year. These 2 issues haven’t kept me from using the app itself because I haven’t sat down yet to see if their are any other comparable apps that can solve these 2 issues. ✓ This app died at IOs 10 or 11This is really a zero star rating. This app has not worked since version IOs v. 11.0 (maybe 10). The developers don't seem to know how to update the app. Sure, the camera works fine. The cropping of the scan is not as good as it used to be. But, the app no longer connects to Dropbox, One Drive, or Google Drive. In fact, it not only doesn't work with One Drive, but it also doesn't give an error message. The last time I had it auto-uploading to Dropbox, at least it told me that the upload failed. I lost a bunch of documents believing that they were uploaded to One Drive. So, the app is pretty much useless unless you want to connect to Evernote or email the scan to your self every G.. D.... time. What good it a scanning program on your iPhone, if it can't upload the scan anywhere? I've emailed support with feedback several times and all I get back a canned email saying the problem is fixed and they are working on new things for the next update. That's a bold face lie. The update hasn't happened. They haven't offered a true update for a year. Certainly, none of the many problems with the app have been addressed. All the high ratings and excellent reviews are from that time period or before. The more recent ones are similar to this one. Definitely, do not buy this app. I suggest finding a different app that lives up to its claims rather than wasting your time with this one..Version: 4.1
✓ Careful clicking options you don't knowThe application is fine It does a good job of scanning a photo and converting to PDF document There are many such applications which can do this stuff today though. I had some important documents to scan and I used the app to get all docs on my phone. Then I went to Edit and clicked on all docs and it generated one massive PDF from all these docs. I realised I didn't want this and I would have wanted to keep all the docs seperate. I tried to re-edit the generated PDF. There were some close icons now appearing on each page. I thought by clicking these the app will take the page out of the document BUT I HOPED THAT LIKE ANY OTHER GOOD APPLICATION IT WOULD KEEP A BACKUP OR PUT IT BACK ON MY PHONE IR AT LEAST NOTIFY ME BEFORE DELETING DOCUMENT PAGES PERMANENTLY Well it didn't do any of that and I lost my important docs while I needed them and was out and away This is not a cheap app £3.99 and donot expect such a poor feature.Version: 4.1

✓ “Basic plan (Free)” means you can’t saveHave had this app for many many years, and used to use it about once or twice a year. Used to be you were only allowed to have two documents at a time, which was fine for me. Now I have a newer iPhone, and the newer version of this app will no longer let me save. I have no other documents in the app, and when you get to the end of the process and want to save, it pops up a screen telling me I need a subscription to have the extra features that I don’t use, and my only choices are to buy the subscription or to cancel out of the pop up and then cancel my scan. Smells like a bait and switch, if you tell me I’m allowed to have up to two scans, and then after I delete them and start a fresh one, you prevent me from saving without paying you. Shame on you! ….I guess I’ll be looking for someone else’s app to depend on, and will make sure to tell EVERYONE I see with an iPhone to STAY AWAY FROM TINY SCANNER!!!.Version: 6.2.2
✓ Dropbox upload no longer works :(This is a great and simple app for scanning either single- or multi-page documents but as of September 2017 the auto-upload to Dropbox feature, perhaps the most useful and time-saving component of the app, no longer works. The response from the developers (via the send feedback feature within the app) has been hopeless. It’s all to do with a changed API at Dropbox, apparently (but the forums suggest it doesn’t work on Google Drive either, I can’t vouch for that). You’d think Tiny Scanner would have been prepared for that. The Dropbox app has its own scanner but the file sizes are absolutely enormous. So it’s time to find another scanning app while TS get their act together and fix the Dropbox upload issue. It used to work like a dream and now it’s a nightmare. Almost useless..Version: 4.1
✓ Good scan app, but has error in Dropbox supportTiny scan does not synchronise properly with the Dropbox server. Your file will appear in your Dropbox app, but not the Dropbox server or any other device on which you are running Dropbox. Why? If there is a colon or semi-colon in the file name, the Dropbox server rejects the file. And Tinyscan puts a colon by default in every file name (in the time stamp part of the file name). 30 Sep 2017 update: Dropbox upload is now fully broken. Fails even with corrected file name. It's taken me several weeks to realise I now have to rename several hundred scans, to take the colon out, so that they will synchronise to Dropbox. Won't use or recommend TinyScan until they take the colon out of the default file name..Version: 4.1
✓ No longer workingI began using the free version of TinyScanner 4 years ago and it worked perfectly until now. Since a recent update I can no longer send the documents to myself via email. I contacted the TinyScanner team who said that I need to change my Apple Mail settings on my iPhone. But why did the app work perfectly for nearly 4 years and stop working now? Anyway, I’ve since found out that the Dropbox app can scan documents, which is much easier than emailing them to myself. Sorry TinyScanner, you were a great free app while it lasted!.Version: 5.0.3

✓ Lost half my documents after updating/upgrading my phoneI have used the app for years and was always good, I upgraded my phone and when this app was updated half of my documents are blank, still showing but as a blank document. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but still the same I have also emailed the developer twice and no response, if not resolved I will be cancelling my subscription. They have since updated it and caused all of the features to be lost unless you pay a monthly subscription. ✓ Don’t upgrade to Pro and you’ll enjoy it!Tiny Scanner is a good, basic app, but features like Google Drive upload (and any upload other than camera roll and email via Apple Mail) are restricted to Pro users for $4.99. Sure, whatever. I upgraded because I need it in my Drive as a PDF and I don’t even have Apple Mail on my phone. But the app is an outdated web view app, so Google prohibits Drive access because of security flaws. Frustrated, I attempted to use my iCloud Drive instead. I didn’t get an error message, but it still won’t upload. Basically, the app is fine if you only want to have angled cropping tools and file organization and only want to save to your phone. (Does anyone use Apple Mail anymore?) But don’t buy Pro thinking you’ll get a more robust experience, because it’s just broken. (Ironically, I tried to send the developers feedback about the Google issue. But they only accept feedback through an Apple Mail link!).Version: 4.1

You might be able to get rid of it for a greedy charge per month. If it was a one time charge of $10 that would be fine but they want that every month. ✓ Not happyI was looking for an non-confusing document scanner for my parents. This comes close, but you can’t deactivate all the export options that are not installed. Each time it offers you “one drive”, “google drive”, etc, even if not available / installed / set up. There is no way to deactivate this in the options. I thought it was in the free version a preview of capabilities in the pro-version (which I regrettable purchased), but you are hit with ALL options each time. I am very annoyed and it’s unsuitable for my parents because of the otherwise suitable app..Version: 4.1
