✓ Label Recognition Very PoorAs a big fan and user of the wine searcher website for years, I loved the app but always wondered by it didn’t have label image recognition AI like other similar apps (Vivino). Now its implemented it is so disappointing, my experience its rare it gets it right, alternatives are poor and there is no matching service. Great shame, what should be one of the best is actually one of the worst in the field. Please sort your image recognition AI!!!.Version: 4.9.1

✓ Needs better business modelHiding wine searches behind a paywall is a terrible idea for this app. Would be better if they took a slice of sales or charged wine vendors. This is annoying and off-putting. App seems good otherwise..Version: 5.8.2
✓ John aI picked this app because it mentioned that it was the best for finding bargain wines. It gave a total of 10 and almost all of Them are about $20. I’m hoping they offer new ones often since I’ve only seen 10 listed initially. $20 can be a bargain but they better be real good .....Version: 4.14.6
✓ Not that helpful...A bit frustrating really. I scanned 2 wines, bought yesterday & although the app recognised them both, it gave no further info about them. I wanted to find out it's rating, or if there was a better deal nearby for that wine, but neither was available. Next tried store locator which gave various local wine specialist stores but with just a couple of wines so not enough for me to make a choice. There are many supermarkets near me in the city but the locator found only Aldi 5 miles away. Hope this app improves..Version: 3.1.2
✓ Free version good pro version dreadfulI bought the pro version in anticipation of all sorts of excellent additions. In effect there is nothing of value. Data can't be saved in the most important functions and navigation is hopeless. Rely, really disappointed a total waste of money..Version: 3.10.3

✓ App is limitingThe app forces your hand in what it wants to show you or worse, it limits what it will show. I speak of the search functionality. It works fine in you're looking for Silver Oak, but not a uncommon wine. I have to switch to the web browser version where the search is more free form..Version: 4.6.1
✓ Terrible data but good appGreat to use but the data is terrible. One case of physical stock creates a dozen merchant listings all broking the same case thus skewing the market massively. Would be ace if you could only list real stock! It’s a necessary evil to have to use WS..Version: 4.1.1
✓ OkI just started using the free version. It found 3 saki’s by scanning the labels on the first go. The picture comes out off center but that’s no big deal and is an easy fix for developers. For free it’s excellent. The pro version at 5.99 a month??? Seriously? Just so you don’t have to type the wines name into google? I’d pay $6 once but that’s it..Version: 4.0.1

✓ Oh myOh my oh my…. Certainly an App for generating giggles and smiles without having to consume the wine. I have a range of reds dating back to 1982, and photographing the labels clearly, uploaded for results. The resulting pictures were completely different to what I asked if it, not even resembling the labels I uploaded. Tried under studio lighting and still received a completely incorrect wine result. Time to delete this excuse of an App..Version: 5.6.1

✓ Bad value$10 a month, and the premium version still does not provide notes from pro reviews from the likes of Jancis Robinson or Tim Atkins Edit: just to follow up on the developers response, bizarrely, they are mistaken. Jancis Robinson and Tim Atkins scores are available on the pro version, but any notes or commentary on a given wine are still behind a paywall on both of critics individual websites. You pay ~$120 a year and don’t get to read what 2 of the worlds best wine critics (and arguably the worlds leading critic in JR), have to say about a wine. For that kind of money, for an app, a person should not have to pay for any additional wine critic notes..Version: 5.31.2

✓ Suppresses informationThis app was useful before the last upgrade, now if I try to look for a particular wine it withholds the search results and tries to force you to a paid subscribe Pro version to see the rest of the search results. ✓ Wrong winesI take a picture of the wine label and it is coming up with the wrong brand and some times wrong color. If you don’t have it in your database, I would rather you say that you don’t have it. Then give me something I didn’t take a picture of. The one’s you do get right I do appreciate.
