โ RecommendedOK so my story is I really wanted to do a piano and I did not have a piano keyboard or normal piano but then this app really helped me it has a online piano keyboard on there which is really nice I have learned a lot of songs and it is absolutely free I love it I would recommend this to anybody who wants to be a pianist so I will probably in the near future never ever delete this app on my device very recommended and itโs free every single app I wanted to learn piano it had a cost I do not like that but this app did not so I would really really really really really recommend this app to people who want to learn piano.๐๐ผโค๏ธ. โ No sheet musicI have paid for this app to help me improve my rather basic piano skills. I have made good progress and am enjoying my journey very much. Although it is aimed at young learners, I am retired and loving being able to play popular songs. However, I would like to be able to download the sheet music so I can practise the tunes in my own time and revisit tunes earlier in the journey without having to use my iPad..Version: 6.0
โ WOWIt's actually a bit weird for me to start this with wow since I've had PianoMaestro for like, 5 years and I haven't once gotten bored of it! But there are one or two problems... First, I don't have a proper piano but I have a keyboard and PianoMaestro doesn't recognise the sound of an electric keyboard. However, my dad has a cable thing that connects the piano to the device so instead of the iPad listening to the piano the iPad is connected to the piano and is better. But my iPad wasn't compatible with the cable. Then we fixed that; my mum got a new iPad, I got her's and all was well. So it's not actually a problem. I was just being helpful to some others who may or may not have the same issue. This is not a problem either, it's just a suggestion for the app. If there was more icons for your profile instead of just people that would be great! For example if there was a music note icon? ๐ถ Overall, I suggest you get the app immediately!.Version: 7.0

โ THE best app for learning to sight read!My students love this app. Not only does it help them learn to read music notation, but encourages them to practise too. Tons of content, brilliant arrangements right through from beginner to advanced levels. Even my adult students enjoy playing and find it helpful. I do recommend that PM is used to supplement regular lessons with a piano teacher, who will monitor progress and check for technique and posture, because no app can do those things. Iโve given 5 stars because it is the best piano app by far, and probably more technological advancement is needed to make it even more fantastic. What I would like to see as a future development, is a recognition of not just the note being played, but the note length. Now that would really be a game changer! Because, what can happen, especially with beginners, is that in an effort to play the correct note at the correct time, they stab at the keys, with no regard for how long it should be held. After that, a sensitivity for other musical nuances, such as legato... and dynamics..! Wow, am I asking for too much?.Version: 6.2

Great for absolute beginners, with a few flaws though...This is truly amazing and you don't pay for the first few lessons and there are quite few, but I have now joined up and paid for membership. I have only been playing for 2 months before I found this app and wish I found it sooner but it probably has just come out. The problem is I have to keep unplugging and replugging in the mic every single time to start a new lesson via acoustic piano, as the app doesn't hear the note otherwise. There are instruction on how to fix this but it doesn't work for me. I'm on an iPad mini. Sometimes there is a glitch which makes the screen freeze then jump, which spoils the rhythm. Would be great if you could download your own scores to it, though... As finding the music a bit annoying now...however at the moment I'm still learning so I'm grateful that this app has been created and looking forward to the update! I emailed the company but have had no response yet... Will keep this review updated... โ BugsThis game is pretty good, but has so many bugs. For example, one bug is that whenever Iโm playing a song, it plays the notes for me, and I donโt even have to play, I know what your thinking, thatโs a good thing that itโs playing for you and itโs easier, but I donโt like it because I want to learn. The second bug is that sometimes when I play the notes it obviously doesnโt hear me, and it does the red note, which I donโt know if it is my fault or not. โ Good but expensiveThis is a good app and I enjoyed using it. Wouldnโt say it is as easy as they make out but itโs good. Easy to follow. My one big issue with it is that Iโve been paying my ยฃ8 a month for well over a year but hadnโt been using it recently so I stopped my subscription. At which point it just takes away everything youโve already done and itโs as if you havenโt had a paid account. So I spent well over ยฃ100 and at the end of the day there is nothing to show for it. I have tried a few apps and this has been the only one where so far where I havenโt had to pay any extra. With the learn button she gets access to a step by step way of learning a song. Gets a journey button to teach her notes and a library to choose a song. I only had two problems with piano maestro. When my daughter finished chapter six it didn't let her go on to the next level for a while and sometimes it would say that she did have assists but she didn't which lowered her score. โ A Musical Must HaveMy 8 year old went from zero interest in music, not even listening to it and certainly no interest in playing an instrument, to a Distinction in ABRSM Grade 1 Piano in 18 months. Piano maestro is solely responsible for igniting the passion and maintaining the fun alongside his tutor (we got a tutor after 3 months on the app). He still plays almost everyday, without being asked because he covets those 3 stars! โ Very MotivationalI had never played piano before downloading this app. We found out that a family friend was going to gift us an old piano. I started looking for web/app based learning tools for my 5 year old and, eventually, her younger sister. I could see right away that this app would help with hand placement, sight reading/note recognition, and timing. In the trial version, we were able to set up profiles for all of our family members. Before the piano was even delivered my 5 year old was able to identify all the keys on the piano and had moved up the ranks using the virtual keyboard. The transition to the use of the actual piano has been smooth and the girls look forward to practicing every day! The only drawback is that I have trouble getting them to give me a turn! The trial version has given us a lot to work with. As soon as we exhaust all that, we will definitely invest in the full version. This really has provided fun for a the whole family..Version: 5.0.1

โ This App Produced Results Beyond Our ExpectationsMy just turned 5 year old loves this app. Being old, I just wanted her to do everything methodically but she learned to bounce all around this app and favorite the pieces that she wanted to play and, one+ month later, sheโs playing multiple notes at once and she also brightened up our Christmas by hosting a silent night sing along. Because getting a high score was so important to her, she even let us count the beats and she knows that some songs have 3 beats and others have 4 beats. So far, Iโve looked at SimplyPiano and FlowKey and, while they have their own merits, Piano Maestro has that magic sauce that tastes so good that she keeps on eating! Note: we use Yamahaโs ez-300 with this app; the only shortcoming with the ez-300 is that it doesnโt support wireless midi but it works sensationally with Piano Maestro because Piano Maestro plays its audio backing tracks over usb and they sound great on the ez-300โs speakers!.Version: 9.0
