✓ I am astonished and impressedI downloaded this with a vague hope it might be able recognise the ringtone on my home phone. I used to hear it in school assemblies as a child but couldn't remember what it was called or who its composer was and it was driving me crazy. The ringtone is the digitised type of music rather than real instrument sounds - the sort that was played on the telephone when one was put on hold, before it was common practice to use 'real' music). Not only that, because it is a piece of classical music, I didn't expect a result because I thought that only more modern and popular music genres would be recognised. I was wrong. It worked. I needed to play the ringtone twice before it got it but given the ringtone's duration was only about 20 seconds at most I was astonished to see that it worked. I will certainly recommend this app to friends and family..Version: 1.0

✓ It's brilliant!What The Song is simple to use, just hit the button when the app is open, it listens to the song you're trying to identify, finds it and keeps a record of it for you for reference, it even lets you email your list of saved songs. I use it when I'm in the car, not just for songs I don't know but stuff that I want to collect at another time to make a playlist- I just hit the button and hey presto, I have another song on my list of 'must get' tracks. You know how it is, you hear something and think, I'll remember that and add it to my collection, but never do, with What The Song, as long as the app is running I can just hit that button and I've got it for ever more. It seems quite good technically too, it has never not been able to identify a song yet, though I'm sure there are millions of obscure tracks that are not recognised, I just haven't come across them yet. ✓ Bit hit and missI have had varying success with this. I usually use it for music I hear on adverts or tv programmes which does mean you have to juggle with voice overs. So in fairness to the app it is having to content with additional sounds. However when it works it works well and I like the fact I can leave my new found music info in a list and that I can preview it. If it only draws details fro I tunes then it is only as good as the I tune catalogue. All in all am quite pleased with it..Version: 1.4.1

✓ Works great mostlyI love how this app identifies almost any song and gives me the title and artist name quickly. My only complaint is that background noise can interfere with its recognition. If the music isn’t clear, loud or close enough, it either won’t recognize it or take too long and the song ends. The human ear can filter out noises like a horn honk, people talking and other background noise. A computer should be able to do a better job. While it’s the best song identifier I’ve tried and it gives you good prompts such as aim your microphone in the direction of the song, etc. I often find aiming the mic upwards helps as does running closer to the music ASAP. Usually it finds your song and I love how it gives you a list of every song it’s ever identified for you when you open the app and all you have to do to start the identifier is press the blue mic icon on the top right corner! Test it out before you need it. Try outdoors, in a car, a club, restaurant, bar, indoors, anywhere you might be when that song you want might play. Be prepared and know how to use this app because the music you want to identity always plays at times and places when you least expect it!! 🤗’s, Scott.Version: 2.4.0
