Logic Remote for Negative User Reviews

Needs to be fixedThis app worked great for me a couple years ago. Now the volume faders don’t work at all which is frustrating. Please fix this. I tried restarting projects and re-installing the app. Nothing worked for me yet.Version: 1.5.3

Lost Mainstage Functionality!?!?!?Why on earth would you remove the ability to control mainstage in the latest update!?.Version: 1.5

Connection always failI just bought an Ipad only for enjoying logic remote with logic pro x. I'm very disapointed because I cannot stay connected for more than 5min. You should add bluetooth communication instead of wi-fi comm. only. I think this should solve all problemes customers can have with this lost communication issue. Thanks.Version: 1.1

French translation of the app description is awful!I don't know who did the french translation of the Logic Remote app description on iTunes, but it is obviously done by someone who painfully lack technical music knowledge... Which makes it hardly understandable if at all! Celui qui a traduit la description de cet application sur iTunes manque lamantablement de connaissance musicale technique... Il est très difficile, voire impossible de comprendre de quoi il retourne par endroit!.Version: 1.1

Does not work.Sucks..Version: 1.3.1

Useful & Lacking in AreasThis app is worth the time despite some annoyances. Like if you put your phone to sleep you will have to reconnect. Within the app there is a way to stop it from sleeping on its own at least though which will work as long as you personally don't put it to sleep! A big plus is key commands; you can add any command like tap tempo to the app for easy access..Version: 1.3

Very poor updateParroting another reviewer to say Apple obviously doesn’t care about sound engineer workflow as you really shouldn’t force users to update software (Logic Pro X) in the middle of a project just to use your remote control app. This app used to be simple and effective, a philosophy that seems all but abandoned by Apple, who instead has opted to force users to comply with their update schedule, which to their egocentric view makes the world a better place for everyone...kind of like how they allowed U2 to hijack iTunes and our phones with their intolerable music. BAD Apple!.Version: 1.4.1

The worstThis app no longer works, even apple says it does not and provides near to no help on the issue. What is the use of updating anything? Try Ip touch it's really good..Version: 1.3

Very disappointedAnother update hell, unable to use, a pity....Version: 1.3.2

Works great… when it worksRandomly disconnects from my Mac Studio… Still sees my Mac Studio, but when I attempt to connect just sits and spins, and then gives up. I don’t know what the secret sauce is to get it to work again - I’ve tried deleting the app, reinstalling the app, rebooting my Mac and logic… On one occasion, one of those sequences worked, but sometimes, most times it doesn’t … come on Apple. You’re better than this..Version: 1.5.3

Should be better‘Logic Remote needs to be updated to be compatible with this version of Logo Pro’ I’m on the latest version of both. Come on Apple..Version: 1.5.2

Apple and its upgrades ruins everythingThis app was great till you can’t upgrade. It was a brilliant app, for a while. As a drummer, I could do things remotely by myself. Now, it’s just annoying. The app is useless. Too bad. I’ve been thinking of switching operating systems now for a long time. Maybe install boot camp and start using Windows softwares on my Mac. This is getting ridiculous. Apple isn’t even producing anything innovative anymore. Samsung is doing some amazing things..Version: 1.3.4

PotentialLogic Remote has the potential to be a great app. But one thing that lets it down is the fact that apart from changing sounds, plugins and mixing, there really is nothing else. I would love it if I could create midi notes and regions straight from the iPad and I would LOVE if we could control EVERYTHING off the iPad, like if I was running of a MacBook, and I could have a second screen or even just the standard screen, but I guess this functionality hasn’t been introduced yet. Yet.Version: 1.4.1

Doesn’t work.It just doesn’t work.. at all… like MacBook/IPhone… on the same network… next to each other… 2-3 hours of trying to set it up… went through alll the steps I found on apples web site… still will not work. It’s dumb. Pay someone to press record instead..Version: 1.5.2

Please do this one thingI want to be able to access my projects and create a new project from the remote app. Currently, it says to open a logic project on your computer to begin. I don’t want to have to take the time to get up and open a project when I want to lay down an idea. Would create a better user experience for me.Version: 1.3.4

Not backward compatible. Knife in the backThis app is not backwards compatible with logic below 10.5. So, my 24 3.5 gHZ xeon cores, 128 gB ram ssd equipped Mac Pro is now ‘old’ and ‘weak’. So no new logic for me. And, since iOS does not allow managing versions of the installed apps - I get this, a useless companion app for software I cannot install. Beware. If you have automatic updates turned on - you’re in trouble. If your ios device would need repair - you’re in trouble. The answer I’m afraid is not fun: apple is not an investment in your future tools but investment in their marketing department. Switch to a good multi platform package like Studio One, Ableton or Steinberg before it is too late. That would give you more peace of mind, healthier nerve system and will save you a lot of money in the years to come..Version: 1.4.1

He would be nice to put it on iPadUmm I got this on my iPad so I can make music without buying a computer or Mac and this is on the apple store we’re mobile people go on /mac but a lot of mobile people go to the App Store find this sick looking music app then figure out they will have to spend about 500 dollars to get a Mac pls make it for mobile as well.Version: 1.3.4

DeviseI think midi controller should be able to connect to the iPad as opposed to the MacBook i. Just like how we can use GarageBand with an external device.Version: 1.3.5

TerribleThe app won't function without Logic Pro X, as I don't have a MacBook I can't get Logic Pro X. I was hoping it would be just be a simple way for me to start mixing and creating music without having to pay upwards of £50 on my pc. I am severely disappointed with Apple and no longer trust them as my phone has also been recently glitching. Apple really are a appalling company that releases way too many updates and devices and then just moan at us citizens when we try to use our devices for good. Shame on you Apple..Version: 1.3.2

Failed update!I used this as a tool for composing in Logic Pro X, now I am unable to use it at all. Please find a way to restore the functionality back. Before this happened the app was incredible, now it feels like a lame duck..Version: 1.1.1

Buggy, stopped working after a day.Super buggy. Tried to use it on my brand new iPad Pro, synced it with my 2020 MacBook Pro. Worked like a charm for the first day, it was an amazing tool I was hyped. Then it just stopped working. Don’t get me wrong, it syncs and I am able to see my audio levels still. However all the controls stopped working, I can’t even get it to move a knob. Pretty disappointed, especially after getting teased with how perfect it is when it actually functions correctly. I hope the folks at Apple fix the issue. Logic is one of my favorite DAWs ever, synced with the iPad is just pure gold. Please help!.Version: 1.4.1

Good app but not stable.I used this the last two years now. When it works, it is an awesome tool allowing me to go play on stage and control the recording from my cellphone. The main problem is when it loses WiFi connection so it loses Mac connection at the same time. Then it becomes useless..Version: 1.3.3

A great idea poorly executed. This app would be great if it didn't lose logic every time the iPhone went to sleep requiring a restart of Logic. As such it's a productivity killer instead of enhancer..Version: 1.3

All it’ll cost you is time. This thing can be buggy. My advice to you is if you set it up and connect it and it doesn’t work well or in my case causes screen flashing on the desktop, turn it off, delete it and carry on with your life. It’s not worth futzing around with to make it work..Version: 1.3.5

No connection to new IMac.This used to be a great little app, now new iPad, and new Mac can no longer make a direct Bluetooth connection with each other as it is no longer supported, making this app totally useless now for anyone with a new imac.Version: 1.5.2

Laggy but usefulAll up to date on both Mac and iPad4, but using the keyboards or pads is now really laggy. Such a shame as in many respects it's a useful tool but not up to the job of data entry or precise mixing..Version: 1.3.2

There would be keyboard (midi) support for plusThere would be keyboard (midi) support for plus phone models. I’d upgrade to an iPhone X plus if there was. Apple are missing a trick..Version: 1.3.4

Handy But Needs DepthI just downloaded the Logic Remote app from the app store and it's a wonderfully handy application however it needs some features so you can EQ and be more in depth than just mixing level. All in all pretty good app but needssome more work..Version: 1.0.4

IPad yes but no go with my iPhone 6IPad yes and working but no go with my iPhone 6.. Pity ...not sure why yet.. Worth it for a basic audio editor like me using GarageBand 10.1 that once loaded and the classic "restart your device then all ok..Version: 1.3

DeceptionAll minimum requirements met. Using Garageband with iPhone and iPad. Not working properly. Is Bluetooth technology accountable? Homogenous products (Garageband 10.1.0. on iMac 10.9.5, Garageband 10.1.6 on Macbook pro 10.11.6 , iPhone 10.2.1, iPad 9.3.5.) Got connection using Macbook pro and iphone, but no sustainable inter connection. Bluetooth and wi-fi fully functional. Deceiving..Version: 1.3.1

Doesn’t work on iPhoneI’ve used this app at school and it worked brilliantly and I downloaded it at home on my iPhone but turns out you need a Mac or iPad to use and you only store the music on the phone sooo altogether it’s good if you want to use it on a computer but I just wanted a poratable one on my phone so it wasn’t very helpful.Version: 1.4.1

Doesn’t workWith the previous version LOGIC worked well now doesn’t want connect please fix it ..Version: 1.3.3

Very useful with some butsThe app has been a great help to me when working on logic projects for mixing etc But I wish there was a drum pad instead of a keyboard when working on a drum track as I currently don’t have the funds to buy an external drum pad and my iPad would do a great job.Version: 1.4.1

We need a Full versionThis app is great BUT!!! By now we should have some type of full version of Logic Pro x for iPad to use when we are away from our macs. We should be able to create or edit sessions remotely. There has to be a way please make it happen. If GarageBand has a version logic needs it as well.Version: 1.5.1

Doesn’t work with logic 9Very frustrating that this doesn’t work with Logic Pro 9 - for us that don’t feel the need to spend the 300 to upgrade to pro x, now this app doesn’t work for us at all - kind of brutal !.Version: 1.3.4

Great BUT…….Fantastic but won’t connect to LogicX 10.1.1 if your using an AD-Hoc Network, thats a problem.Version: 1.2.1

DisappointedSame here it was working perfect on my Logic Pro X them I updated as they suggested and is no longer working trying to selling me the new Version ! Seriously? I do not recommend and suggest you fix and make it work on the Logic Pro X 1.01 again!.Version: 1.3.1

Ill logicalThe previous GUI was much more attractive than V1.1, and I might add, what you can do with the app is incredibly basic, do not expect to do much more than adjust levels, pan, start and stop..Version: 1.1

No longer compatable with mainstageApp is No longer compatable with mainstage. Is prompts to update mainstage however apple has not released the update yet. Not cool. DO NOT UPDATE!!!!!.Version: 1.3.1

ArrrrrrghI don’t like this app so I’ll be available to make something better you , Apple, can buy it and me. This is ambitious not malicious. I had your Mac app set an alarm and every update is well. Most of them have been crappy recently extra crappy because you didn’t have an iPad Pro app but now you’re going to charge for that too so I’m going to pay somebody else and then exploit them and sell it for a higher price. Yeah it’s fair you do it..Version: 1.5.3

Great PotentialI want to love (and use) this app way more. The concept is brilliant. For recording in Logic it is fantastic to assign common shortcuts to buttons, really saves time for editing in Logic. However, PLEASE make the iPhone app compatible with MainStage! It works great with iPad, but isn’t cross-compatible with iPhone...why? I want to be able to assign patches to buttons so I can just click a button and be playing a new instrument. Works great on the iPad, but I’m already using that for my chord sheets. Using the phone screen would be ideal. Please make it work for all devices?.Version: 1.5.1

Wrong placeAll of this apps juice should be on iOS GarageBand.Version: 1.3.3

No good with logicThis app doesn't even work! So why even have it on here. Doesn't work with logic anyway and is called logic remote. No good, come on Apple!.Version: 1.3.2

What if I don’t want to upgrade my iPad!I got given a 2012 iPad which I was chuffed with. Not knowing that you can not upgrade to iso11 which means you can not download logic remote which is mostly what I wanted the iPad for. Ridiculous.Version: 1.3.3

Mayday!! Lost many functions and control in the updated remote!!I went to record today using the new Logic Remote and many of the functions no longer work. Both my Mac and iPhone are fully updated: iOS and software. Problems in the app: - The arrows at the top of the screen no longer advance to the next/previous track. - Track Fader no longer works - you pull down the track volume and it instantly snaps back to nominal. - It doesn’t engage Mute, Solo, Record, or Recall Solo buttons anymore. *When you press the buttons/arrows they blacken but DO NOT engage. The only buttons/faders working when engaged in the app are the Cycle, Play, Record, Metronome, Dim, and Master Volume fader, Automation Mode, I/O, Send, Volume. In the Automation Mode pane, when selecting Read, Touch, Latch, or Write it does NOT engage those functions in Logic. Some pane functions work where others do NOT. Where I have always witnessed Logic Remote moving faders and making adjustments while looking at Logic on my Mac, it no longer does any of that. Please fix this problem. This remote used to be awesome and was a huge help when recording on my own; without assistance of another person. No it’s a complete hassle!.Version: 1.4.1

Still unusableAnother update and it becomes clear that the developers of Logic Remote aren't listening to the frustrations of the music community. Professional Mac users differ from people who want the latest iPhone apps, our software has to mirror our hardware in terms of being solid and reliable in their compatibility. The last update forced purchasers to update their operating system as well as their version of Logic Pro X to make this application usable. These compatibility problems should have been addressed, but they have not. This has now become an unusable app for me and many others..Version: 1.3.2

ModulationNeeds a XY controller. Could be an alternative to Lemur/Touch OSC to manipulate modulation using tight Apple iOS/MacOS integration..Version: 1.3.2

Has great potential but not ready for production useIPad updated automatically this morning. Showing great potential but not quite ready for production use. Track selection between the track and mixer views in Logic and the Remote app do not always remain in sync. Touch EQ interface looks good but responsiveness is choppy and does not follow selected track. Track arming also working intermittently. Overall feel is somewhat laggy on a first generation iPad Air. Should be a useful tool once initial quirks are resolved..Version: 1.2

GB update 10.1.5 totally ruined this app!!!After I updated my GarageBand to 10.1.5 as suggested, this app no longer works. It's slow to load and some of the content never does. It also keeps telling me to update my GB because it's not compatible. The saddest part is it worked perfectly before. This was such a useful tool; to be able to control GB on my MacBook from my iPad. Please, please fix this..Version: 1.3.1

Love itOnly good when using usb cable. Over wifi there is too much latency. Now transport bar and mixer stopped working, can’t get it working properly. Pretty useless app for me atm.Version: 1.5.1

Doesn't connect, doesn't workRunning Logic Pro x on a 2020 m1 mbp and iPhone 12PM. The app is completely useless..Version: 1.5.2

Pour transport functionUsed to be Great for punch in out but the new Version is missing lots of transport feature.Version: 1.4.1

Rome is fallimgRome is falling a thousand years of darkness follows, and this app is the signpost of the fall..Version: 1.3

A Waste of internet bandwithSo I downloaded this remote and it does not work with my version of LOGIC Pro X... It is not compatible with 10.2.0 no way am I purchasing another version!! Sort it out APPLE!! Going back to use CUBASE Pro 10 ...at least they ensure their patrons are correctly updated so their software remains actively superior... Meh ...Version: 1.3.4

Keeps losing connection!!Needs to be fixed ASAP!.Version: 1.1.1

Ios supportForcing us to update operating systems to use apps should be illegal becausem It forces us to eventually loose support for apps, hardware compatibility. Every new machine does have the same functions, but never ending updates have become the tool of oppression disruptions the workflows. People should have the option to download buy and use previous versions of the apps in the apple store that are compatible with their devices. This will never happen because apple does not want you to buy a device once every 5 years..Version: 1.5.1

Score editor viewSince Logic has screwed up the score view when in record mode, I thought this app might be the way forward to get a view of the players part (or even supply to the player so I can go paperless). No Bluetooth support, only wifi. Come in Apple! Where are the 'geniuses' with app development? Or is more dumbing down of previously pro-Apps?.Version: 1.3

Great but not quite thereThis is brilliant, with so much potential, I found though that it drops out frequently losing contact with the host computer, and when playing the virtual instruments the notes sometimes 'stick' and keep playing, even when you have stopped recording. Otherwise, its pretty cool..Version: 1.2

Very good appReally helpful app when recording my own work from across the studio. Would like it to be optimised for use with apogee gear as while it recognises quartet, etc. it does not allow all of the functions to be utilised. Still, really really good app!.Version: 1.2.1

Great app but I want more...Yes ok I'm greedy. I'd like to be able to run two instances of logic remote on two separate iPads at one time. That way I could have the keyboard shortcuts up on one screen while I have the mixer up on the other. At the moment switching between the two takes longer than reaching for the track pad (mouse), and so isn't the time saver it should be..Version: 1.2

Doesn't workCompletely useless.Version: 1.3

Doesn't WorkEver since iOS8 my iPad won't connect to logic or mainstage..Version: 1.1.1

Let down....Was quite excited to use this once I found it, but I've never been able to use it. It won't see either garage band or logic on the same network. Hopefully it get fixed soon. I'd love to use this..Version: 1.3

Was great .. now not so much :(Since the last update it won't work unless you also update to latest OS and latest version of Logic. Would it really be that hard to make it compatible with older versions ... please!!!!!.Version: 1.3.2

RubbishI have the latedst update for Logic Pro X and I dowloaded the Logic remote on my iPad 3. Opendup after all the updates on the app and what do I get? Nothing. It connects andelaves it on teh communication window which can't be closed after connection. Close the app and it comes back to that window again. Turn of Logic Prox X, open the app and you get the window again to connect. Truly APALLING piece of software. It never worked properly. Apple are deserting their clients. Just as they removed the audio input from the latest iMacs which is also the optical input for interfaces as well and which suits my equipment perfectly. So what do I do now? Well Apple are not interested in supporting their reputation as THE machines for media and audio processing by forcing us all into USB interfaces, so I may as well go back to Windows which seems to be getting better and better. That hurts. But I am sure that as they also force us into iOS10xxx on our Macs, more software will become flawed or useless. Where is Steve Jobs when you need him....Version: 1.3.2

Won't stay connectedExtremely frustrating. Logic Remote won't stay connected to Logic Pro x. Completely Useless..Version: 1.1.1

Needs more featuresSo awesome to be able to control GarageBand track volume from the room where I actually play! Please add: parametric equaliser to EQ from another room without a laptop, and ability to add/modify plugins such as compression just as in GarageBand on the iMac. There is space under the basic Smart Control to display and modify the Garageband guitar stomp box plugins, which is why I initially wanted this app. Using an iPad stand, users could tap to switch on distortion, reverb, or other effects for guitar and vocals, without the need for a physical stomp box. The GUI knobs are twisted, which is fiddly on my iPad mini. Knobs on other audio GUIs I use use touch-and-slide up/down to increase/decrease. Please at least add this as an option for advanced users. Also would benefit from track monitor on/off button, input channel selection, noise gate, etc. for new and existing tracks. Then I would gladly rate 5 stars, and even be willing to pay for this very useful remote!.Version: 1.1

DOES NOT WORKMy Mac, iPhone and logic all have the latest updates and I have even turned off my firewall and everything else that the apple website has recommended if logic remote doesn’t connect yet still nothing works, it’s a shame and I was really looking forward to using it for I record myself. Horrible..Version: 1.5.2

Apple is screwing the pooch!Backwards compatibility used to be what we apple users were able to count on. Steve Jobs always made sure to treat us right. But ever since he left us, you people have been chipping away at what made Apple, Apple. Now it seems that we users don’t matter nearly as much to you “geniuses”, as t Well, I’m fed up with it. I was forced to buy a new ipad to keep up with iOS compatibility but now you’ve gone too far. I shouldn’t have to buy a new computer just to continue using Logic Pro OR its remote app! I can’t afford a new computer, and these days, I don’t think I’m alone. Either you make this software work for us all or I’m shopping for another DAW and eventually a new platform. Get it together, Apple! And in the meantime, put a compatible version of this remote back in the App store for us “non-desirable” users, please..Version: 1.4.1

MmnnnStupid.Version: 1.1

Latency troubleWas psyched to learn that Apple created an app which I could use to enter midi data for a GarageBand project in a Music Applications course. It's true this can be done but listening to the metronome on GB and tapping anything musical on the iPad left drastic timing issues which need to be hand corrected one at a time. The point of the course is to get you aware of features you may not have used otherwise so perhaps this is a learning curve. But I suspect it's the Bluetooth connection that has the delay in receiving the midi data in sync with the songs metronome. Would it be better to export the metronome sound to the iPad so I'm tapping in sync with the device instead of the DAW? I don't know, but I see why direct connection has its strengths. If anyone reads this knows a solution let me know. Otherwise I see it as a disappointing app. I left three stars because I see this app has other features that I may appreciate outside of this midi project..Version: 1.3.2

StupidYou need GarageBand to access the app..Version: 1.1

Missing featuresI think the app quality is great. I wish they would support more plug-in GUIs similar to the Channel EQ even if they are stock plugins. It needs to support the piano roll as well for virtual instrument programming. I can’t really do anything with dynamics processing on this because there is no way to see gain reduction. Overall it slows me down while mixing because of this..Version: 1.5.3

Not goodThis thing about logic remote then I got it I opened up the app and it said connect with iMac Which I don’t have! Does it have to be connected to a iMac or could you have it just on iPhone/iPad I’m not sure So yea..Version: 1.5.2

Update for iPad pro 11 inchI think this is a cools app but it has some bugs, could Apple update the app please???.Version: 1.3.4

No longer connects to MainStageGreat app, works well with little fuss. Can lag slightly. since the updated OS I have been unable to connect to MainStage. Now useless..Version: 1.1.1

Was great for a while but...I use this app for GarageBand on my Mac. It usually works well but then, it started to lag. It started with playback, then it affected the recording process of the keyboard. I can’t edit the note length or placement unless I use the mouse on the laptop, which is a drag. (No pun intended.) I’d highly recommend creating a remote control app for the Mac version of GarageBand since this app doesn’t work for as well as it should. I understand that this is primarily for Logic Pro on the Mac but I currently don’t own a compatible midi keyboard..Version: 1.5.1

Crashes when selecting smart controlsCrashes to home screen every time I select smart controls. This is on iPad Pro. Very frustrating..Version: 1.3.2

HesitantSo I’d like to use this remote with my Logic Pro on my iMac but the reviews are all over the place. I have an Imac that I tried twice over the last year to restore only to be told by apple techs that it probably had a corrupted hard drive. Then my wife and I remembered I had backed up my MacBook Pro in 2016 to an external hard drive. We plugged it into the iMac and restored it from there. Then after this I started working my way through the updates. It won’t install el captain for what ever reason and got caught in a installing loop. So I restored it again from the external drive and at 2 am finally had Yosemite installed and everything working. My concern is that I went through all of this to get Logic Pro working on this iMac and that the remote might in someway freeze it or make it unusable. It’s an older iMac but I like it a lot and don’t want to have it become the paperweight I thought it was at one time again..Version: 1.5.1

Disgusting pattern, apple!Like several instances in the past, you are forcing ppl to upgrade machines or OS's by REMOVING functionality or suddenly BLOCKING people from using software by staggered updates. Way to go, how greedy pig windows like. No reason for this to stop working other your offensive zig zag updating of feature set in Gband suddenly refusing to work with last update on Ipad. Bloody awful biz model. Jobs would NOT run apple like THIS!!.Version: 1.3

Fix the remix FX!Come on Apple..Version: 1.5.2

Apple Has A Worm In Their Rotten CoreThere is no reason why you should put a barrier between your users actually using this app with a newer version of Logic Pro X when we have an older version of your iPad. You arbitrarily gate access to force people to purchase newer versions of your products which is just trashy of you. I spent $4000 on a new iMac but because I didn't spend an additional thousand dollars to get your new iPad I can't use Logic Remote anymore. Apple really has gone downhill since the days of Steve Jobs. I regret ever giving you my money..Version: 1.5.1

Won't stay connectedFrustrating, spent hours trying to connect to my mac, and or mac air, neither would stay connected, interestingly enough when I tried to cancel the project in gb the iPad would connect and remote would allow functionality. I would reopen on the air or mac and it would loose connection. All versions of everything is latest, including firmware on the airport,.Version: 1.1

Worried about continued compatibilityHaving just updated Mac OS to the maximum possible version for my hardware and updating to Logic 10.4 a few weeks ago to get the remote apps working again on my phone and iPad I am really frustrated and worried about the future with the release of 10.5 not being compatible with my Mac and now the remote app displaying a compatibility message but continuing to work. These remotes are critical to my workflow and while updating my hardware is going to have to happen at some point I cant do it now and this seems like a really silly reason to have to do so. Please maintain compatibility with 10.4 as this will allow many users with older yet still capable machines to run this app..Version: 1.4.1

BuggyIt looks like Logic Remote does not know how to handle track stacks correctly. It appears to be unaware of what a track stack even is. It just always displays the component tracks, regardless of whether the corresponding track stack on the Mac side is expanded or not. Further, there is no method for expanding or contracting a track stack on the Logic Remote side. Apparently, there has been a lack of communication between development teams. I think I complained about this once before and was told that it was a feature, not a bug. Whatever it is, it makes the Logic Remote mixer pretty much useless to me. Anyway, Apple sure seems to be dropping the ball an awful lot lately. Anyone wanna buy an iPad?.Version: 1.4.1

Can I use this on garageband? AnybodyCan I use this on garageband? Anybody.Version: 1.3

When it works good its goodIts been okay, wish it had a different layout; it feels so narrow and you really need to search for your needs with alot of button presses. Also its been crashing my logic every single day for the last week whenever i connect.Version: 1.5.3

Needs more developing . Under achievingIf it could display the lyrics in the notes section of Logic Pro then I could give my iPad to singers and co writers... If every plug in opened on the iPad window I could sculpt the Eq by hand etc Needs developing.Version: 1.3.5

Pointless app lacking in featuresThe app works well , no problem connecting to Logic Pro or Mainstage 3 and its nice to have an extra screen for a mixer view when your short of screenspace. It might also be useful to someone who likes to mix, add or play instruments without using the mouse/ trackpad. Since I do not need any of these functions the app is useless . It would be so much better if the app could give you a view of the arrange page in Logic Pro X or the Perform view in Mainstage. Visual cues for singers and musicians are sadly lacking and would make the app an essential addition to anyone who records in the studio and for musicians needing visual cues on stage when using Mainstage..Version: 1.3.4

I like it but....So let me start with, when I first downloaded the app I was running on OS 10.9. The controller worked great! I could mix from different positions, which was awesome! Then, me wanting to stay with the latest technology, kept up with the updates to find out this app would no longer support my OS and I had to upgrade my OS to continue to use it. That's BS! I say that because I use 2 DAWs, Pro Tools 10 and Logic X. If I update my OS, I can no longer use PT 10. I know this is a free app, and I'm not upgrading my OS for something so minute of a luxury. It's unfortunate because I liked the app so much. Why can't this software be backwards compatible? Or give me the option to download the previous versions before the OS requirement. Or make a controller for the older OS systems? Disappointed.Version: 1.3.2

Fantastic concept but crashes are annoying workflow killersI've started using this app to record vocals on my current project. It's very helpful to be able to control many different aspects of the recording process remotely. However, on every multi/hour sessions I've done there is a crash on my computer on the Logic side related to this app. Logic Pro continues running but whatever service listens for events from the app crashes. This results in having to do a restart which completely kills my flow. Please work with the Mac app team to resolve these issues!.Version: 1.4.1

No support for older iPadsUseless.Version: 1.3.5

OvoidIf you got a sock and filled it with custard, then throw it at your Mac, you will have more luck controlling Logic Pro X that way. This app is pointless because it doesn’t do any of what it’s supposed to do. Now, go find a sock and a bowl of custard.... Why can’t I leave NO STARS¿.Version: 1.3.5

Not workingI’m trying to connect to logic on my Mac. The device is showing up but won’t connect..Version: 1.5.3

A Deep ShameI updated to an iPad Pro for the USB-C support and because it can bus power certain audio interfaces by itself for work. It’s baffling that Apple of hard locked Logic Remote to only work with Logic Pro X v10.5 onwards. I’m on a Apple MacBook Pro mid 2014 model and it just flat out works, so obviously I don’t want to update for fear of other hardware and software becoming incompatible, we already saw Apple kill machines for those that did update by blindsiding companies like Ableton and Avid who were forced to issue statements of not to update. Hardware makes a lot of sense, but the beauty and the entire point of the iPad was that the screen becomes whatever controller you need at the time, why Logic Remote can’t detect which version of Logic the machines running and interface that way I’ll never know we all know it’s to force upgrades, sorry Apple! But I’m one of those professionals that doesn’t fix what isn’t broken, I upgraded my iPad because there was a genuine reason and I have benefited, it’s just a shame that they have arbitrarily locked out, I’m only interested in the key commands on display, just having my iPad as the mixer, cut, copy, paste, zoom, zoom out etc was extremely useful. The most valuable tech company on the planet yet for some reason hard lock software. Please release a Logic Remote basic which is just volume controls and key commands, win win, guess I’ll just have to make my own somehow..Version: 1.4.1

New 10.5 FX option glitching outThere is the new FX function that allows you to create effects in Logic, but whenever I try to use it, it glitches and bugs out on me while recording, and I can’t undo what has recorded, which is very frustrating. I tried to record a filter out in my track, and it would just glitch out and reconnect to the 2018 MacBook Pro that I am using, and my iPad is an iPad Pro, so the hardware isn’t the issue. Please update this so it functions properly. Also I had to re-record things due to the Logic app recording a filter out section, and it filtered out part of the whole track, not just the section that I wanted..Version: 1.4.1

Doesn't work !Garageband 11 and iOS 8.1.1 doesn't connect..Version: 1.1.1

Loved it now hate itLoved it until it auto updated and now is rendered useless because I haven’t updated my logic to 10.5 yet . Apple should really consider making legacy versions that are compatible with older logic versions none of the guys in my band or myself are able to update to 10.5 until we purchase a new Mac to run it on.....thanks apple*note sarcasm * we just built out a whole studio and vocal booth with the design centered around using the logic controller in the booth when no one else could run the session. Guess we are screwed for a while......Version: 1.4.1

Works with good wifi but not USB?I have a new iPhone 12 mini and new MacBook Pro 2021 So I can’t logic Pro remote work when I connect to the lightning cable? My Wi-Fi is not good in my recording area and I do a lot of self production so I’m very annoyed and I lost my ability to use the remote! Hopefully with the Wi-Fi extender a mesh system I’ll have it up and running.Version: 1.5.1

The XY track pad doesn’t work. The XY track and other remix effects haven’t worked for 2 years. Can you please fix this.Version: 1.5.2

Glitches. Crashes. Consistently.That is all.....Version: 1.3.5

Not backwards compatibleUnfortunately this not backwards compatible so can’t really make use of it anymore..Version: 1.5

I wish I could give this more stars. But a few days ago Apple auto updated this on all of my devices – and broke it. Oh - not a bug, bugs happen, we get it. No, they intentionally chose to include *no backwards compatibility to Logic versions before 10.5*. and left us using *10.4.4, the version immediately before*, no pathway to revert it. So here I am, literally between studio sessions. I don’t have time or inclination to upgrade software in between studio sessions simply because you screwed up (setting aside the fact that’s one of the big “no no’s” in a session anyway). So you just reached into my iOS devices and broke all of my remotes. Just - no. BAD APPLE..Version: 1.4.1
