Logic Remote for Positive User Reviews

I love Logic RemoteThis app is a great companion to Logic Pro. Very innovative and intuitive. With the release of the money grabbing Logic Pro for iPad which is unfortunately only available via a subscription, I just hope that Apple will continue supporting it..Version: 1.5.3

Need more updateGreat app, it gives you all the mixers you need with out taking up to much space on your decks. Great for putting ideas down and putting effects on projects. You have a drum pads, keyboard with great controls, keyboard sort cuts for quick editing What would be great to see on here: With the new logic step sequencer on 10.5 it would be great to program the steps on here and tap where we want the sounds to hit, just seeing the step sequencer move on a iPad Even chopping sample with the new sampler with an iPad would be amazing, would bring more creative people use this app where it’s turns an iPad into a full logic controller..Version: 1.4.1

Love the new..Icon. Great tool to have, especially if you have no friends ;).Version: 1.4

Very nice tools for creatorsYou can now use your phone as a midi controller, you can adjust mixers faders in a second, you can create effects and automation, and all of this and more with a very low latency, they give us multiple new tools that really can help music creators. This is awesome..Version: 1.4.1

Awesome app. Apple Watch version too??Love this app. Really useful when recording. Avoids the back and forth to the computer. An Apple Watch version would be really useful too. Even just with really basic transport functionality such as play/stop/record..Version: 1.3.4

Nice AppI just wish it’d work with more types of different Apple iPads/phones or whatever.. using a small screen isn’t really that fun for me on stuff like this..Version: 1.5.3

Yes you canYes. You can GarageBand with this on Version 10.1.5 or later..Version: 1.3.3

Incredibly Useful appThe logic remote app is invaluable to me as a lone producer with my machine on one side of the room and my mic (in a makeshift booth) on the other. I can control recording, levels and create new audio channels for layering all from the app. My only issue atm is that it doesn’t allow monitoring through the headphone jack. As you can imagine, having to stretch my studio headphones from my audio interface to the booth isn’t practical. Please add support so we can plug headphones into the iPhone/iPad etc and monitor the audio in the app✌🏾.Version: 1.3.3

AwesomeThis app is amazing it's just like the commercial.Version: 1.1

Very good but more features please! This is fabulous and quite useful but it could be really useful at a game changer if more features from logic were included, at least the full mix window. It's essential for any logic users who also have an iPad. Please can you add more features!.Version: 1.3.2

Excellent on iPad but features omitted from iPhone versionJust wondering why a stereo pan had been omitted from the iPhone version? Seems odd... replaced an iPad 2018 with an iPhone XS and rely heavily on the stereo pan for headphone mixes. Please add this, plenty of space on the interface to do so, and do t go telling me how the a12 isn’t capable of it....Version: 1.3.4

Great addition to a great programAfter just having a play, I can see how useful this will become to songwriters and composers who have small studio setups. You can now set up the computer and go to your mic to record vocals without having to set a long pre roll and then run to the mic before sit starts capturing. Also the shortcuts options are a great addition to help with the not so common keyboard shortcuts..Version: 1.0

Theres no better DAW than logic pro x for me and logic remote is a cherry on topI have used many daws in last 15 years and i couldnt find anything better than logic pro x for myself. and logic remote is an amazing app that allows you to do exactly whats mention here. i havent found any app other than logic remote that allows you to control your daw the way logic remote does. many thanks for the App..Version: 1.4.1

Great appWorks fine. There are too many unfair reviews of this simple and useful app..Version: 1.3

Great appHi people who made this app perfect most best app ever but Please make a version of logic pro X compatible with iPhone 6 6.0.Version: 1.5.1

Working fine under Sierra and iOS 10.3.3I've connected my iPad mini 2 with current Logic on my studio iMac via USB (in an annexe, no wifi) and via wifi on my second system MacBook Pro. No glitches, fast updates. The functionality of this app is limited, but I'm not complaining for free. Volumes, pans, basic plugin editing, as well as transport controls. I will very likely use it as a recording remote when tracking bass..Version: 1.3.2

Great great!Perfect.working well with Logic Pro..Version: 1.1.1

Great big app!I see a lot of reviews criticising this app, I’ve been using logic since 2004 and this little gem makes it much easier, my favourite functions are the chord pad and the new step/pattern sequencer but the quick command page takes the biscuits, it’s also great for vocalists and musicians as wireless controller from the booth, no more hitting record in the control room and legging it to the booth. I had no problem setting it up on my iPad or iPhone, connection was a breeze both via wireless and usb both on my mbp and Mac Pro plus the fact that it’s fee just adds to its appeal, try it, it’s a game changer 👌..Version: 1.5

Works GreatI use this all the time to connect to GarageBand on my Mac, and it’s a really great tool to have. I’ve always enjoyed using it so I can have a separate midi controller, mixer, or keyboard shortcuts. Great app and i can’t wait for the next update. As functional as this app is, its not a necessity, and it doesn’t speed up my workflow too drastically, its just an nice extra thing to have..Version: 1.5.3

Useful new plugin featuresGreat to now be able to have more control over plugin parameters in the latest update..Version: 1.2

Nice AdditionAlthough I am new to Logic Pro X, I find this app to be a very useful companion to the DAW itself. I have been working on the program with this app ever since and, when I don’t, I see the difference! Being able to play instruments from the iPad makes the experience more enjoyable and productive, in my opinion. The keyboard shortcuts, with the functions named, are just amazing. I mean... you don’t have to guess, or remember which key does what; it’s written, there, to make your life better. The app is well thought out and makes the work flow smooth and pleasant. I do really enjoy using it..Version: 1.3.4

New updates makes all the differenceAlong with the new 10.5 update for Logic, Logic Remote has also received an update almost as big as the Logic update it’s self and it works great. Many reviews on this are outdated and a bit biased, but trust me when I say this works, because it does. Connect fine, allows control over a good majority of things in Logic and easy to use. -P4rp.Version: 1.4.1

It’s about time, thank you very much…I’m soooo happy to finally have Logic for iPad. I loved my iPad in concept, but without running the standard Apple apps I like I was really about to sell it. The only thing that I held out for was this and then the iPad was perfect and reasonable for me. Logic literally came in at the 11th hour as I’d listed my iPad for sale. So far I’m beyond happy with the app. I get people complaining about compatibility, but you know… I don’t use ancient doodoo machines, so I cannot relate. M1 smokes your silly Xeon crap. Price is reasonable for a subscription. I’d hoped my $200 Mac Logic investment would carry over, but $49 a year I can live with too as long as it keeps getting worked on and added to. FINALLY, YO! Now just start welcoming game devs in please….Version: 1.5.3

Logic Remote is cool!To get it working, make sure that Logic is working fine on your computer; then make sure your iPad and your computer are on the same WiFi network, and receiving a signal of adequate strength. I have not yet worked with it enough to comment further on the application. I will probably buy the $4.99 Logic Remote manual. If you own Logic and an iPad, you might as well get this especially if you play and engineer at the same time which many of us do. 5 stars for the concept alone..Version: 1.2.1

Amazing controller for Logic ProI don’t why people are complaining, this is by far one of the best control I have used for a DAW. It works really well with the keyboards, the drum pad, the looper, the effects, the mixer….Version: 1.5.2

This is FANTASTIC!!This is great for anyone who uses GarageBand of Logic Pro X. It’s very intuitive and pairing couldn’t be easier. Although it is recommended that when you are using this to set your screen to “Always on” so that it doesn’t turn off while you are using it..Version: 1.3.4

Was logic ..now unreasonableWorked really well Before, but now won't connect , err come on guys ...a fix please. Or I'll call Donald trumpet !.Version: 1.2.3

Add Note Pad, Please. If you add Note Pad to this, then it would get 5 stars. Be great to see my lyrics up on my iPad ✌️.Version: 1.3.3

Works well and seamlesslyWith a 13” macbook pro running logic this app is a real help on my 9.7” iPad to monitor/modify levels and preview sounds, not to mention the convenience of recording with a mic the other side of the room. As a free app it is a welcome bonus to using the apple family of products..Version: 1.3.4

Wonderful!Works perfectly since I updated to IPad OS 13.4.1..Version: 1.3.5

Great controllerI don't know why people are so unhappy with this, I've had nothing but good experiences. You get a wide variety of controller templates, great mixer support, and helpful key commands. I find latency is acceptably low and the connection is stable. 13" rMBP 2013 / iPad Mini 4 / iPhone 6.Version: 1.3.2

SweetIt is free, like it should be, and it works. I read a few other reviews and was a little scared. But it was free so I tried it out and it actually works. Love it so I can record ideas while we jam. I have had 0 issues with it..Version: 1.3

Works 100%Took two attempts but works perfectly.Version: 1.1.1

GarageBand from iPhone to iPad.Instead of using a Mac, would I be able to use this to control GarageBand on my iPhone? I tend to use my iPhone as a mic with its surprisingly decent quality. But it’s a pain to have to keep moving it and taking it off the stand to edit and things like that..Version: 1.3.5

TerribleNeed tp connect a usb which i don’t have its so bad.Version: 1.3.4

Add this essential function:The app has worked great so far and I have not had a single issue with it. I’m just writing saying that in order to take full advantage of the Logic Remote, there should be a more similar interface in some things as the OS version. Most specifically, when opening plugins for things like synthesizers and adjusting the advanced controls. This may be impossible to do with 3rd party plugins, but should definitely be a feature with the plugins that do come with logic. Right now when opening a plugin, you have to scroll through several pages of parameters when the whole plugin interface could fit on the screen. The will greatly facilitate and improve use of things such as the latch automation feature and will truly make Logic Remote just as powerful as any physical synth connected to a project..Version: 1.5.1

Logic RemoteAmazing. Very flexible and one can set up virtually any combination of buttons that one needs..Version: 1.2.3

QualityGreat app, especially love the keyboard function. Good alternative for midi keyboard when on the go!.Version: 1.3.4

PERFECT AND I THINK ITIT’S BASICALLY THE GREATEST THING APPLE EVER CREATED!!!.Version: 1.3.5

Great for Remote MixingI use this primarily do check and fine-tune mixes on my living room system (studio running Logic is downstairs). Using Logic Remote for this is a huge timesaver. The only things missing for my needs are 1) a way to view and edit individual track automation, 2) the ability to turn Group (clutch) off and on..Version: 1.3.2

Very good, but needs Step Sequencer controlThis is an excellent remote control app for a DAW, much better than the average DAW control app, especially for no additional cost. However, it badly needs the ability to program the notes of the Step Sequencer that was added in the Logic 10.5 update. This seems like it would be a fairly easy update for Apple to perform. The Logic Step Sequencer is great, but a step sequencer that you have to program with a mouse is so old school. This Logic Remote app needs to let you program notes in the Step Sequencer. Thanks!.Version: 1.4.1

🙄I wish Windows was supported on this app Btw I don’t have a mac.Version: 1.3.4

Works great!!Anyone saying that this app isn’t worth it or sucks needs to update there devices..Version: 1.3.5

BhutaniWhen do we get Logic Pro x on iOS device ?.Version: 1.5.1

Great, but seems like it’s getting forgottenI love this app. It has been and will undoubtedly continue to be an integral part of my recording environment; but there have been no updates for the last 8 months and the display has not yet been optimised for the iPad Pro. It’s a minor issue, but I am scared that it’s being forgotten by Apple & co!.Version: 1.3.4

Nice app, work nicely.Though, it would be great to have multiple iPad support....Version: 1.1

Not native resolution on 10.5” iPad ProI’ve been using the app since it was first introduced, and it is a great control surface app... especially since wireless networking issues were resolved. I wish the transport controls were at the bottom of the screen, and larger, however... my only gripe, besides the strangeness of seeing it upscaled for the iPad Pro 10.5” display... surely they could fit another fader or two on that display. Who cares if it is a multiple of 2, 4, or 8? Another fader is another fader. Looking forward to having this rectified. Not a huge deal-breaker, of course, since it does so many other things very well. Just the anal side of me that being a life-long Apple user has produced..Version: 1.3.3

So coolLatest version is pretty incredible. Being able to trigger and arrange live loops with multitouch on an iOS device is super cool. The remix FX are endless fun too. Keeps on getting better and I can’t believe we get all these updates at no cost. Go Logic team!.Version: 1.4

Really enjoying this app.👍🏼 Gives me the freedom to record on my own without having to run back and forth to the computer. Still working through learning the capabilities of it. I use it on my phone, probably a little more accessible on an iPad. Would be awesome to have some accessibility away from the studio for listening to mixes and taking notes..Version: 1.3.4

Extremely useful!I was a little skeptical, at first, how well an app would gel with pro software; but after a little tinkering, I've been pleasantly surprised. There's no delay when using it as a midi piano, kit or guitar; mixing is easier when you can manually handle the knobs and making new tracks is a touch away. You'll find yourself working on the iPad just as much as on the mac. I did, however, get lost a few times within the app, it's pretty straightforward but can get a little fiddley when changing screen settings. All in all, awesome!.Version: 1.0

Works wellI don’t use it often, but since Universal Control, I’ve started using the app again. One thing I’d like to see would be pan control for Dolby Atmos. It would be so nice for the special panning to be controlled via the app..Version: 1.5.2

This app is amazing!!!! No bugs at all. No crashes.I can’t even begin to understand the negative reviews. This app runs perfectly and it’s so useful!!! Thank you Apple!!.Version: 1.3.5

10.7.4 needs updateLove it. But since update, keeps losing wifi connection?.Version: 1.5.2

Great, yet I would add one thing...Thank you, great app... I would very much appreciate a monitoring option. To hear the master-track through the phone, being either in another room or with headphones on. I know it would be the best quality but it sure would make this app spectacular!.Version: 1.3.3

Must haveLove the app, take it everywhere it’s a must have in my setup but PLEASE APPLE PLEASE PLEASE ADD A FEATURE WHERE I CAN EDIT AND TYPE ON THE PROJECT NOTEPAD FROM THE APP, that feature is super super needed :).Version: 1.5.1

So very goodThis just blows me away every time I use it. Mac and iPad and iPhone all working in perfect harmony. And the fact you can rotate iPhone for channel strip or shortcuts is brilliant. Seriously good bit of kit..Version: 1.3.2

LotsoflapjacksGreat app! Works perfectly for me with GarageBand. My only complaint is that there isn’t Bluetooth connection too. I’m often off WiFi and stranded without a cable, but I still have a laptop. Despite the lag that would occur, I would use it so much more if it had Bluetooth. That said, it’s a great app until you’re stranded!.Version: 1.3.3

OmgThis is the best app there is on the AppStore keep making awsome apps apple.Version: 1.1

Great appRight out of the gate save me running back and forth from behind the drums or keys or vocal booth.. it move with me however wish I had a visual but I’m running a tv in the room so no problem there. Can’t wait to see where this goes next!.Version: 1.4.1

I love this appCan’t believe I’ve been using Logic without it. Very handy! When is that next major Logic update!? Would like to see more creative controls such as a wiggle of the finger on the piano to vibrato Would love for smart controls to be brought to the iPhone in some capacity for those of us who don’t have iPads, but my workflow will definitely change for the better with this app! Thanks team!.Version: 1.3.5

Good...butWorks nicely like it should have trouble connecting to my 2012 iMac sometimes..Version: 1.1

USB supportPlease add USB support to Logic Remote for me I would love this option , keep making this App the best and also add more plug in view like how you did it with the EQ.Version: 1.2

Doesn’t connect to Logic anymoreAs other reviewers have pointed out as of 1.1.1 update it no longer connects to Logic Pro. I’ve tried everything including deleting the Logic Remote app, deleting the control surface preference file on my mac, restarting wi-fi network etc. And every once in a while it will connect. Connecting to Logic has been the flakiest in this release. Please fix this. Didn’t want to give it a low rating because it’s an awesome app, every other way..Version: 1.1.1

WonderfulExcellent controller and it works very smoothly with my Mac Pro. The only thing that i wish is an XY pad controller in a future update!.Version: 1.3.3

Does what it says! You can do many things remotely with this app, like the smart controls where you can easily play and record, or just play your song with ease… The magic thing about this app is it’s speed. It works fast with and without a cable. When you press something, it immediately happens on your mac. Don’t know why others hate this app so much, maybe because they don’t like the iphone version. It could be awesome if it had even more options. I mean it does support many actions right now, but still not so many. I think it has more potential. It’s a great tool in my workstation, but still sometimes I get tired using it and get back to the computer, because I will need to edit something not present on the app.. Give it a try if you have an iPad, you might love it! Thanks for reading!.Version: 1.4.1

Great ControllerThis app turns your iPad into a midi controller for logic pro. Think about the implications...no need to lug around a keyboard midi when you’re traveling. I use this app extensively whenever Logic Pro X is open. And it’s free! Can’t believe some of the reviews on here (probably people who can’t appreciate what this app is capable of)..Version: 1.3.4

Great appAs always Apple did it once again..Version: 1.3.3

Works FantasticEverybody keeps complaining that Apple needs to add USB support, but if they read the very short description for the update, it says that they did, indeed, add USB support, but that you need to update both your MacBook and your iPad to the latest versions of each..Version: 1.3.2

Super handy toolI don't know what everyone's moaning about. Haven't had any problems with conectivity, and my gear isn't anywhere near my wifi router. It's an intuitive piece of software for the basics of recording (ie levels, remote on/off functions, and synth manipulation for those of us who can't afford a mini moog). It's certainly made my life a lot easier as a solo artist recording everything by myself one track at a time! We'd all love a neve, but beggars can't be choosers!.Version: 1.3.2

Works Flawlessly! This app works very well for me. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and it really is a great tool. I can use the app to start/stop logic while recording myself and more. Setup after installing is effortless, and it stays connected amazingly well with virtually NO lag in Logic or my Behringer X-Touch control surface! I have had Zero issues using this app. I Would have given ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, but I’d like to see more functionality in this app for Logic Pro X. But I do believe more tools/settings will be added in future updates. This app is Great!! And Free! 😎.Version: 1.3.3

I was thinking can we....I been an logic user since Logic Pro 7 and I must say we’ve come a long way. I’m aware their are quite a bit of concerns on the back end logic of the logic remote, yet I’m not here to speak on it at this time. As a songwriter I find this tool extremely helpful , especially when your recording yourself and want to eliminate the back and forth to the control room - I was wondering if by chance you can integrate the notepad project and track functions on the app - this helps with documenting lyrics and calling out those specifics for the mixer per track - it be nice to never have to leave the booth - it also would be nice not to have to go back and forth between the notepad app - idk, maybe similarly to the way the audio recording (voice memo) has been ended to logic - is it possible to tag notepad notes the a session? Just throwing out ideas - I myself am just a novice developer but I’m sure you guys can figure it out. I’d love to hear back - this would be a game changer for us songwriters in the industry.Version: 1.5.1

Absolutely Amazing AppleThis app will transform your entire workflow... It turns your iPad into the best controller you could possibly want. I feel like my studio game just increased, and this gives me another edge over other professional studio engineers..Version: 1.4.1

Very useful appExtremely useful app for people who don’t what to pay extra for keyboards with pads and can just use this instead. great in mobile and ipad.Version: 1.5.3

Works !Just goes to show that I should take time to read the min system requirements properly! Working fine now, and very useful..Version: 1.3.3

100% Awesome AppThis is the best daw controller out there designed for Logic Pro X it’s always superseded my expectations every time I’ve used it. Incredible control, even large distances away from the main computer. It just keeps getting better and better..Version: 1.3.4

AmazingI love how you can play the piano 🎹 on it because I’m learning and you can make songs this is amazing no lie.Version: 1.4.1

ProgressI like what is happening with remote, especially with remix fx. I’m still wanting better UX with drumming and not repeat via iPad. I’m an Ableton push user and really appreciate optimal placement of time divisions near pads. Looking forward to tweaks. I also like having the iPad plugin directly to the current MacBook pros via USB-C..Version: 1.4.1

I agree!I totally agree! This where PC shines update the OS in PC you still can use 10 year old software what more can you ask for. I believe it’s a way to sell more newer version of Mac many may agree while time is tight right now most can’t rush out to apple store and by a new Mac every 3 years. If your Mac is nearly outdated in 3 to 5 years maybe I need to start thinking about a Microsoft surface pro..Version: 1.5.1

Finally...I’ve been a Logic user for 10 years... and finally I can use my iOS devices. Not only does the app work, but it actually has some useful functionality. Thanks Apple!.Version: 1.3.3

Update Logic Remote for 11-inch iPad ProPlease update Logic Remote for the 11-inch iPad Pro. The 11-inch iPad Pro is the perfect iPad for mobile mixing on my MacBook Pro, especially with its edge-to-edge Liquid Retina display. It would be nice to see Logic Remote on my 11-inch iPad Pro, next to my 13-inch MacBook Pro, with an edge-to-edge graphical user interface that magically changes from a mobile mixer, to a multi-touch drum pad..Version: 1.3.4

Excellent, just wish that undo wasn’t so hard to get toOverall, this app works great. Connects reliably and quickly, can access so many things without having to go over to my computer. My only wish is that undo could be available from the main screen. It’s such a hassle to have to click settings, then undo, then go back to the main screen again every time I want to undo or redo. Please put undo/redo on the main screen and I would give 5 stars!!.Version: 1.5.3

Really enjoying this app.I’m loving using this so far and it’s incredibly convenient. I’m guessing this will probably come at some point but being able to adjust various effects plugins and meters from this app would be a huge plus. Along with more in-depth mixer capabilities..Version: 1.3.3

Almost there ..Great app and great idea, the virtually unnoticeable latency is great for mixing, but it needs to be updated. The interface feels a little dated and I should be able to change the size of mixing tracks so I can have more on screen at a time..Version: 1.3.4

Logic RemoteSince the update, it is working. Could prove to be quite useful..Version: 1.2.2

I would like more windowsI really like that I can now do so many functions with this app on my iPad, but I also really wish that the developers could incorporate more windows to make editing of the main window, piano roll, score editor possible. It would really help me in my writing and editing process..Version: 1.4.1
