✓ Complete rubbish!I spent hours documenting my travels around the world which I experienced through work and pleasure. Everything I entered from a physical map has disappeared! The iCloud sync certainly seems to have failed miserably. I wouldn't bother if I were you..Version: 4.0

✓ Wish I Didn’t UpdateThis was such an awesome app. I loved being able to place pins and photos to places I’ve been around the world. For certain places I just passed through but didn’t officially visit like London, I used a different color pin. Now with the new update, those pins are now all the default red pins and you can’t change it unless you upgrade. I’ve paid for a lot of apps because I want to support developers but I can’t justify $25 bucks just to change pin colors and a few other minor perks. I thought I already paid for this app also previously. If they ever run a discount sale, I might purchase but otherwise I probably wont be using this anymore..Version: 7.4
✓ Problems with premium packageAfter using this app for several years, have had to purchase the lifetime premium package to retrieve my data. Disappointed that the data does not sync, even though this is noted as a feature of the premium package. Restore purchases does not work. Syncing with iTunes does not work. No response to my call for help from the app developer. Apparently also not entitled to a refund. This used to be a really handy, well presented app which I have enjoyed using. Disappointed that it has deteriorated so much in recent months..Version: 7.6

✓ Not going to updateI’ve been using this for many years since 2013 and have loved this 5star app. It’s been a pleasure using and glad it was created. Interesting. BUT after the app icon change, and all the bad disappointing reviews since mid-April, I refuse to update to the new version. I paid for this app and I don’t care but I’m not gonna pay more for it to be updated, especially when everyone says it isn’t the same. Not updating, not curious. Developers, you had a great product, enhance it, keep it that way. Don’t change it and screw over everyone for more money or tiered paid services. I’ve always wanted to see a type of connect the dots type of chronological thing and the ability to share this huge list to either website format or just a textual time line..Version: 7.3
✓ Disappointing - No logging previous tripsThe reason I downloaded this app was to add the many places I have been over the past several years and enjoy a visual representation. Unfortunately, the app will only allow me to add pins for RIGHT NOW. Yes, I can locate places I am not currently in and add pins to them, but only if I mark it that I am there right now. The date can’t be adjusted to when I was really there. Since my ability to travel is limited now, I won’t be taking a lot of trips, so this app is pretty much worthless for me..Version: 6.2
✓ Great app ruinedGive me back my Footprint. I loved the way that worked. Check in without network connectivity is essential for recording remote camping spots. Time of day stamping is important to me. Different colour pins for separate trips was a delight..Version: 7.0
✓ It was ok. Now it isn’t.Footprint was great. You could add multiple pictures, and keep track of date and time. With Everpin you are allowed ONE picture and no time. Here is the even bigger problem, I had a couple of pictures in one pin with footprint, they updated it to Everpin, and it selected for me which pictures it was keeping. Unfortunately I don’t think we will be keeping Everpin and certainly won’t pay $25..Version: 7.2

✓ Just awful.I purchased this app as I travel a lot and wanted to keep record of my trips and destinations. I was unhappy initially as the app wouldn't even allow me to accurately plot my home address! So I upgraded to to the pro version expecting that would resolve the problem. It hasn't! I cannot even drop a pin on my home address! I can drop a pin where the app says I live (2 streets away) - I can change the colour of the pin that indicates where I don't live - but I cannot correct it, I cannot change the tag on the pin and wish I had not wasted my money. If you want an app that will place a pin where it wants (not where you want), that doesn't allow you to creat custom labels (for example 'Home', 'work') and will just give a rough idea of where you have been then this is the perfect app for you. If however you want one that is accurate and customisable then do not purchase this disappointing app!.Version: 3.3

✓ DisappointedDownloaded this app... Everything is blank. No way to add info to get any location to appear. I've put info into SEARCH, countries, states, Zip, etc...Nothing happens. Read the tutorial several times but no help. Tutorial assumes you have a page showing as a starting point. Tried to get anything to display but nothing happens, just blank pages. ✓ Could be betterThis is a nice looking App but it's needs some more work doing to it. From what I can see, there is no ability to change any of the defaults, so the map always opens with your current location rather than a world view. You cannot print the Map, or email it. Basically, the only thing you can do is drop pins. The basics are there, an update would make it better. Also, no response from the email in " customer contacts". That would be OK if the app was as it seems to be in the description which is that you can create a map with pins at places you have been. that’s simple enough except for one thing. You cannot add anything except where you are NOW which means not only that you can’t add places you’ve traveled in your lifetime - you can’t add a place you were yesterday or this morning or 15 minutes ago. ✓ OkOk app, but it's quite limited and not that cheep for what you pay it could be a lot better. 1) you are limited to use only one pin type/colour at a time. It would be good if you could have different kinds colours of pins to code things like places I've been; places I'm going to; places I've lived; places I'd like to go to, a custom pin... Etc 2) I travel a lot in the central pacific, with this app the edge if the map is the international date line, which makes the map a bit annoying, so it would be good if the map was circular/cylindrical or if it would allow you could change the place where the break is. 3) you cannot copy/share pins between your iPad and iPhone. This should be easy to do. 4) an easy way to send/print the map or parts of it to a pic/jpg file would be a useful addition that seems to be missing. 5) a feature that could also be added is having the ability to link pins to pictures..Version: 2.3

✓ Great app but needs one update!App works great with one BIG exception: if you go to a place more than once you can only keep track of one date/time. If you choose to mark your most current visit it will delete the date/time stamp from your previous visit rendering your timeline incomplete/useless. Despite sitting In my house it gave the wrong house number and you cannot edit it in the notes for the check in address.. So if you were updating it via hotels etc on your travels, they are likely to be inaccurate.. Also I thought it would be nice to pin all of the places I have been in the world before now, however I found it difficult to do pin a location nearby... ✓ What I've Been Looking ForThe concept behind this app is excellent - just what I've wanted to be able to record my various travels. The choice of map service is excellent and it's easy to use and UI fluid. Invaluable I realise this is only the first iteration but there is a huge amount of potential for upgrades. Few ideas: simpler way of adding past trips (great for current but adding the places I've been is a little time consuming), option to add countries only from a pick list, option to view shading only without pins, adding a photo or two would be nice, adding in routes, sync between iPhone / iPad Buy it! UPDATE- following upgrade app crashes immediately on launch -iPad2 and iPhone5. Great app but certainly not worth buying until this is fixed. And I really don't want to delete and reinstall after entering all info into it.Version: 2.0
✓ Too many crashesSince I travel a lot I love what this app can do. At a glance I am able to see all the places that I have visited throughout the world. The ability to add notes make it even better. ✓ App is DeadNo updates in years, but to add insult to injury, the app is full of really annoying bugs that make it almost impossible to use. When you add a photo, half the time it loses the photo. ✓ Pretty good, could be betterI have been using Footprint for about a year now and it continues to add features. On the whole the app is really good one of the best of its kind out there. Where it starts to fall down is round syncing and its need to monetize. Trying to sync across devices gives you a dazzling array of options including upload, download, sync with iCloud, offline Checkin Synchronize, restore, normally after pressing all these it still does not sync across devices.....to think that this is the part you pay for. Hopefully it improves and just syncs automatically, then the $3 might be worth it..Version: 4.7
✓ Multiple filesAs a technical instructor for an major automation manufacturer I traveled to 30 - 40 different cities per year in 36 states. I enjoy the graphic display of Everpin, but I wish it had the ability to create multiple files. I have been trying to map my business travels over the years, but after 11 years worth of data, Everpin bogged down dramatically. It would be nice if I could create multiple files to break down my mapping into smaller blocks of data as I would like to map the remaining 10 years of my travels..Version: 7.7
✓ Love lostI loved footprint and used it regularly on iPhone and iPad to record my travels. I'd usually mark the location with my phone while on location and later write notes with my iPad syncing between the two. Until the version on on phone stopped fully syncing. It pulls up some of my pins but not the ones entered after a certain date. Very frustrating. I've deleted and reloaded the app many times and same problem. I contacted Footprint help and no response.
