Vivid allows users to double the brightness of their MacBook Pro and Pro Display XDR, system-wide!
The new MacBook Pros and the Pro Display XDR have displays that can go up to 1.600 nits of brightness. By default these levels of brightness can only be reached when watching HDR videos or by using Metal applications. Until now.
Vivid uses standard Apple APIs to allow users to make their screen more than two times brighter.
Supported devices:
- MacBook Pro with M1, M2, or M3 chip
Vivid can double the brightness of the Pro Display XDR when used on any non-Intel chip MacBook as well (including iMac and Macbook Air).
Please note: Vivid does not work with the Macbook Air display and does not work with Apple Studio display.

Tip: Right click on icon on the menu bar will turn the feature on or off. I use it when it need to be turned on. Issues with this app: It needs to be constatnly enabled after each logging off and on..Version: 1.1
✓ A Great UtilityThis app is fantastic for giving you max brightness that isnt capped at 500nits. The MBP should always be able to go up to XDR levels (even if only on plugged in mode) It's greta when working in bright locations and outdoors. Highly recommend this app..Version: 1.1

✗ RidiculousI bought a display that can go up to 1000 nit for sustained, why do i need to buy extra software to boost my screen? If Apple doesn't want us to boost the brightness, why would this ridiculous money cost app appear on the app store?
