✓ The worstThe worst of the Series,been playing for years. Intrusive constant ads and the mechanics of play are frustrating and ridiculous even after lthe learning curve of figuring things out. ✓ What happened??I’ve been looking forward to a new game from this developer, I’m surprisingly disappointed. I understand trying to change things up with the mechanics, but don’t mess with a good thing. ✓ Not quite ready for prime timeUpdate after 2 new versions: Better, but still an impassable bug w teapot and tape. (I can’t get the tape and I’ve used the teapot so it’s gone.) I enjoy Jammsworks’ games, but I think I downloaded this one too quickly after its release. Using objects is a bit glitchy, some don’t go back into inventory when you click away. ✓ BugSeems to have a bug. Spoon won’t snap to jam jar as it is supposed to (as confirmed by the hint). (Other reviews seem to confirm this.). Got really monotonous. I give some credit for trying to change things up compared to prior games, but all in all it seemed kind of silly doing all the tasks on a given table (even if you do have to go get things and bring them back to a given table). I much prefer the games by Artdigic (OmniSoft), which require a lot more thought and bringing together multiple clues to solve. The Jammswork games feel more like gussied-up scavenger hunts rather than puzzles you have to solve..CallingmajortomVersion: 1.0.3

✓ Dragging items isn’t funI usually love Jammsworks and support by watching ads, but this game doesn’t live up to their quality! The beautiful scene’s too narrow on iPad. Dragging items is NOT fun because it requires too much precision. I DO appreciate skip-able mini games. (I despise puzzles that flip random tiles.) ✓ Why the change?These have, historically, been some of my favorite games but this one has fallen far short. Not sure what the impetus to change UI was but I’m not a fan. ✓ New UI is terribleThe new methods where you have to drag the drinks, drag the ice from the container, add water, etc. is terrible. All the previous games from jams works are fun and awesome. Please please please go back to the old style where you collect items then use them with each other, like collect a piece of a cup, collect the glue, then glue the pieces together. And please put the note pad back to the right side with access using a swipe left. Jammsworks games are the best of all the escape games, but this new style is awful. ✓ Update - NopeUpdate: I paid to remove ads since the full screen ads kept crashing the game. This is not the game I expect from Jammsworks. Unlike their other 'tourist' games, this one takes place entirely in the hotel room or the dining room. There is no scenery or images to give it any ambience let alone Bali. Most of the time is spent moving things around on unending tabletops. There is way too much repetition. Almost every table requires: gluing a cup, making coffee or tea, and arranging utensils. I lost count after 6 tables. Tiresome. And still very buggy. Original: I want to play but the game keeps closing on my iPad Pro 11. Usually Jammsworks games are the best. ✓ Hotel, dining room, hotel…This is the third escape game in a row that’s bounced back and forth between dining room and hotel room. The format has changed a bit, and it’s really buggy (but that’s to be expected). I don’t like having to put the item in the EXACT right spot, but hopefully later versions will either go back to what worked or they’ll improve this one. I’ve been a devotee of this developer for years, but the variety of the different chapters in each game has, sadly, disappeared. Snow White and Princess Kayugi (I think that is the spelling) have been replaced by steps to make coffee…repeatedly. I wish the developer would go back to the older formats of changing scenery Andrew creativity with mind puzzles. This food/vacation series is not any fun..LedalasvegasVersion: 1.0.0

✓ Doesn’t work, way too buggyI’ve enjoyed many of this dev’s games but this one just doesn’t work. Kudos for trying something new but please get games adequately tested before releasing. Too many things that are supposed to go places won’t go. For instance, I think I’m supposed to put the water in the kettle but it won’t go. I think I’m supposed to empty the sugar cubes to get to the battery underneath but they won’t go anywhere. I think I’m supposed to empty the bath salts to get to the thing underneath but they won’t go anywhere. I’ve tried to move them all so many, many times and no luck. Plus, too many things are unrecognizable. Please put names of things on inventory items. I have no idea what this blue box is. Ugh. This is all way too frustrating! I’m deleting. ✓ Don’t get me wrong…I love every escape game this developer makes. This one is my least favorite. I did not like the dragging of items to use them. It made for more frustrating game play. How it was before was not broken so there was no need to change it. I hope for the next one they go back to how it was. ✓ Not ready for releaseI gave this game a second chance after the developer widened the impact zone of the tiny objects you have to make interact instead of solving puzzles. When the record player (which worked last time) gave only a blank white box instead of a message, I called it done. It’s the third hotel game in a row, with minimal Bali atmosphere. The new gameplay mechanism is novel but means the game is mostly merging things. (How many times can we put the match in the matchbox?) And it’s unplayably buggy. ✓ New Ad Ambush - Really BadI’ve been playing Jammsworks games for many years due to their high quality on every level. This game, Bali, is profoundly disappointing because apparently Jammsworks has some new advertisement set up and the player cannot even open the upper left corner menu without having to endure an ad. This means that if the player wants to get a hint by viewing an ad, the player has to watch an ad to request the ad. THE PLAYER CANNOT ACCESS THE IN-GAME MENU WITHOUT BEING FORCED TO WATCH AN AD. How very meta, Jammsworks👎 In addition to all mobile game ads now running 45 seconds, which in itself is a slap in the face to mobile device users, Jammsworks is now increasing ad screen time on top of that. ✓ Not a bad game, butI like all Jammsworks exit games, they are great, however I feel that something changed: this one seems lower quality and it also has many bugs that make it difficult to play (e.g. I couldn’t open the box with cherries; after lighting the candles in the last part, a man didn’t come and I had no idea what to do next, so I had to go through all rooms and get a hint; I had a lot of problems with connecting two objects together) and TOO much ads! ✓ Interface BugsI’ve played every release of this developers game. I enjoy them and look forward to their next one. This new interface was ambitious and its cool to see them trying something new but the interactions are definitely glitched. I thought I had the answer incorrect so I finally gave in and watched the hint. It confirmed I had the right solution but the objects wouldn’t interact. After much swiping and just randomly trying every spot it finally worked. Then I ran into the same issue again with another object. ✓ Love this dev but new style is a bummerJammsworks is my favorite developer. I religiously wait for every new game and have played the entire catalog a couple times now. I agree with most of the reviews here. I don’t think the drag controls add anything to the enjoyability or challenge, and the table by table mini scenarios are pretty easy and just kind of boring. It’s tedious to constantly be dragging objects. It’s an ‘advancement’ that makes it less fun. Whatever programming it takes to do that isn’t worth it. Simple controls are better.
