I tried it by listening to the same song through music library built in. And it proved that the song on splice sounded a little off than the song on the music player. It will run through like it is going to purchase but a message displays telling you that it has been purchased already and then will re-eneable the feature. ✓ Keep running into the same issue!!!I use the app more than the native music app and even purchased the full package, but this one problem keeps coming up ever since the most recent updates. When the music is transitioning, there is a very loud static-y sound that messes up the whole mix. It's really irritating because everything else works just fine, but I can't seem to fix it. Sometimes songs will simply play rather than mix, and there doesn't seem to be a setting or command to offset that. ✓ Potential Native Music ReplacementGreat app but I only have a couple concerns. Sometimes the music skips as if it was being played on a scratched cd. The mix time doesn't mix correctly. Instead of cross fading two songs it lets one song end and gradually increase volume on the other which sounds funky sometimes. Something just doesn't seem right about the UI. I think the music and music settings need their own dedicated pages instead of it all being on one page with hidden menu after menu. But over all I'd say its worth the $1.99 to unlock everything..Version: 2.1
✓ Really Very GoodAlways sceptical about claims for all apps, the first thing I do is look at the reviews and get a feel for them from users. You can sometimes tell when a developer has written a review as its the only one going on about how fantatstic it is. Well, I got it and found very quickly its easy to use, especially for a middle aged bloke like me. My music tastes are somewhat eclectic and some of the mixes where nothing short of horrendous, but when I chose a better selection, and had them play in BPM order I actually enjoyed the musical experience. I now have it as my defualt music player for when i'm in the car as i can have music of a particualr beat making the journies very pleasant musically. I'm sure this will be developed further and I did pay for mine so look forward to lots more whistles and bells. ✓ Excellent!This is one of the best music apps I have downloaded by far! The UI is fantastic the way it mixes the songs is outstanding. But their is just one little issue. When the music is playing out loud everything is great. As soon as I plug in my headphones the music volume drops really low even though my volume is right to the top. I thought it might have being something wrong with my headphones but I have tried many different headphones with the app but all of them perform the same way! ✓ Transition challengesI really enjoy this app! The only thing difficult to deal with is the transitions of songs that are too stylistically apart. If one song has a long outro, Splyce cuts it with a transition that reminds me of white noise before moving to the next song. ✓ Love it!I really enjoy this app and as someone looking into beginning to dj, I enthusiastically purchased the full version. I enjoyed it thoroughly, and my main problem was lack of control when it came to the types of transitions the app would use. In one case I wanted it to evenly mix, and I had selected perfect songs, however it used the vinyl drop transition and made it all sound awful. ✓ Disappointed with updateI was able to had all the songs in one of my playlist with just click but when I update this morning to fix a bug, I realize that the add all songs is missing. Now I have to add songs one by one. Imagine trying to add over 500 songs one by one at lease twice a day because I also use it in the gym. The only thing that bothers me and SHOULD be UPDATED is the fact that when connected through my car using the USB connectivity, I am unable to change the songs using the car controls. ✓ Fantastic but needs more!Really good clear interface. Fantastic features and for a great price although missing things that I can't help but use the default player from time to time. First you can't skip to certain parts of the song which is annoying when I just want an awesome chorus or verse. Pay 69p only for 3 themes and being able to see your music cover should come included I think. Next we have no search option I have loads of favourite songs not a few so when I'm not walking and want to put on a certain song scrolling through a list is a pain. In spite of this I hate how on the default player music ends and starts with this you can blend even change the beat of the music which changes the mood of even some of the saddest songs on my playlist. ✓ Splyce up your strifeBrilliant little DJ mix app, sequence a playlist on Apple Music and open it, the app will sort it into bpm order (or not) as you prefer, set the mix time between 5 and 60 seconds and play. Rearrange the tracks as they are cued if you decide to change the mood. The app will beat match perfectly (as only a computer can) and cross fade gently while balancing the track volumes. For a couple of quid it’s perfect to make those cold edits warm again., There are criticisms: it hasn’t got a clue about breakbeats or drum and bass. Probably the software that reads the waveform can’t figure out where the kick is. Sometimes it can’t figure out where to mix so just quickly transitions from one to the other in a fairly random place, usually if a track has an extended intro. Cold edits are necessary as it has the same trouble with tracks from a mixed compilation. Stick to 4/4s and tracks that start with the beat and it’s perfect. It’s a bit buggy as well meaning it might stop if you access another app while it’s playing, whether or not you start using the different app. It has pointless features like flashing and changing colour. Less pointless features are an EQ touchscreen so you can flange and filter for fun. So, while not as intelligent, intuitive or empathetic as a real person, nor as artistic, but if you want to play a number of techno tunes without hearing the joins and without being too concerned about “The Journey” it’s awesome..Version: 2.9

However, I'm still giving Splyce five stars because no app does a better job of syncing music with Philips Hue lights. Splyce actually analyzes the music files on your device to create an accompanying light show, rather than just listening through the microphone as all the other apps do and trying to keep up. This results in less lag, no interference from outside sound, and a higher degree of synchronicity between the lights and the music..Version: 2.4.1

✓ A Few SuggestionsSplyce is a great app and is very fun and easy to use, but I had a few suggestions in mind to make it better: 1. Could you make the next songs play so that they are synchronized not only by tempo, but by 4- or 8-bar patterns? For example: The song that is playing has a beat of 1..2..3..4.. and while that song is on beat 3.. the next song will start at beat 1.. , which means that the tempo is in sync, but the beat patterns aren't, and since I play a lot of EDM, it is very important for me that the beat patterns are synced as well. 2. Could you also allow the mix time to be modified in regard to volume? Or could you make the volume decay/rise a little more linear so it doesn't sound like the first song ends too quickly while the next song starts too quickly? Lastly, 3. The BPM detection tool is a great integration, but could you allow the user to reset or change the BPM that Splyce detects if, for some reason, the BPM that Splyce detects doesn't match with the song's actual BPM? If I can see these changes in the next upcoming updates, then I will leave a 5-star review and will definately recommend and announce this app at my next DJing events. Thanks!.Version: 1.0.1

✓ SPLYCE + Pulselocker! Awesome idea!I have been a SPLYCE user for a long time and I have not looked back since then. I find the interface intuitive and really well designed but the key feature in my opinion is the ability to select different transitions between tracks and add effects (which allows me to also use SPLYCE as a traditional music player/ great lean back experience). On the other hand, I have been following the Pulselocker guys for a while now (since they released their Locker Technology for DJ applications) and as an ex-DJ, I could not think of a better “marriage”. ✓ Please implement thisShould have an option when setting the duration to have the song start from the middle instead of the start. Or play the middle portion of the track for example if if the duration is set to two minutes the app should find the centre of the song minus one minute and start from there. It would help with house tracks that have big build ups otherwise you're just left listing to the intro.Version: 1.0.1
✓ Great app but buggyThis is a fantastic app for mixing your set list but unfortunately, it hasn’t been updated for a while and is a bit buggy. Sometimes it just locks-up so whilst it will still play the pre-determined set list, it won’t allow manual selection. The only way is to quit the app and restart, which is a shame..Version: 2.9
✓ Sometimes greatWhen it works I have some awesome transitions and it flows amazingly well, keeping me in a good mood. Sometimes it just stops and starts another track without really mixing them. Maybe I need to work on the running order but the reason I paid for this was to get a great mix and it's often amazing but sometimes not so..Version: 2.1
