✓ Simple and quite accurateI've just bought my first house and wanted to get accurate floor plans so that I can start planning and budgeting some changes. Firstly, the app is simple to use, if you can read and follow basic instructions you can use the app. It works more accurately in an empty room but even in a cluttered room it is workable as long as you can get to walls. Personally I always like to check things twice using different methods, a tape measure to check or correct measurements is handy. Any corrections are easy to make. It is a shame you have to make in app purchases to be able to export the images. Adding symbols can be a bit of pain especially in thin rooms like hallways. But you can email the floor plans as a JPEG if needs must. Things to add, more symbols - baths, sinks, electrical sockets, meters. I would also like the ability to merge rooms recorded on seperate devices, I forgot my iPad yesterday, took the measurements on my iPhone instead, I would like to be able to combine the two into the one file on the one device..Version: 5.0.2

✓ Very useful!Great for Quickly measuring out the dimensions of the room. I have my iPad or iPhone with me more often then a notepad and tape measure. The only issue is sometimes walls can be hard to get to but a little planning Solves that. I only use the touch against the walls featuring have been very happy with the results. I had thought about deducting a star for the export feature. The free export comes with the iPad movements superimposed on the floor plan. The ‘paid’ export images do not have these Swishes all over. However, as a workaround open the clean image in the paid for section and take a screenshot. The app tries to block this but it is too slow..Version: 7.7

✓ Amazing, how do they do it!?Saw a recommendation for trying this for measuring rooms and properties. Thought it might be nonsense but works amazingly well and although not pinpoint accurate is good enough for getting dimensions and layout in a property or the square footage. It seems to get more accurate the more practised you become at measuring and trying to pace yourself evenly between walls? If you combine this with a laser measure by sharing measurements through Bluetooth (with Leica, Bosch or similar) then it can become very accurate! Only gripe is it can get a little confused at times between rooms and cupboards but that may be my skill level at using it?? Thoroughly recommend it!.Version: 5.0.2
✓ Great tool!I admire the app’s comprehensive functionality to map the entire plan of a home or building, especially the wall touch feature. I would like to provide one major recommendation. But first, a prelude . . . . I read some of the reviews and I noted a single common thread among those that have a problem with the app. The app has many complex features that require practice to handle. Some of the features are not inherently obvious. It took me at least twelves times to map my home adequately. This implies, along with the looking at some of the reviews, that there is a steep learning curve to understand the app at a competent level. With that said, my recommendation is to provide more extensive videos and/or training instructions for users. The current videos are helpful, but is lacks how to accomplish the finer details on essential functions to pull all the information together harmoniously - like how to add additional rooms to existing rooms, adding openings, editing, etc. These are some of the things I grappled with. I saw the potential, so I stuck with it until I found the solutions. In summary, the this app has powerful capacities, yet it currently requires the user to adapt to its capability at a deliberately moderate rate..Version: 6.18

✓ Mostly works but can't export without paying more £The app is hit and miss and some rooms had to be scanned 4-5 times before I got a rough plan, I think with practice it will become more successful. It seems to struggle with doors and windows and is almost easier to add these after. Adding rooms is very simple, just click on a door, select add room and your off. If there are alot of obstacles in the room, the scan is generally unsuccessful but with continued effort you can do it. After paying £5 for the app I then had to pay more money to get a copy of the plan in pdf or email so I could print it. Then I discovered I have even been charged twice! Then to rub salt in the wound it tells you you can only get some features if you rate it 4 or 5 stars. All in all I feel ripped off and after investing £7 I feel I have to give the 4 start rating to be able to use the app. Very poor company with slack morals but a decent app.Version: 5.0.2

✓ AwesomeWell I've been irritating literally everyone who will listen about this app. I'm stuck in the house all day, a house that I now have a perfect floor plan of! I had a lot of fun, and it's very impressive. It's slight errors were negligible compared to my human error (I upset a room plan by double checking a wall thinking it was 2.7, but it was 2.9 like the app suggested.) I'm so proud of my house plan. My only reason for removing a star is that it's not possible to rename rooms, or create rooms without the app (had trouble with moving in a built in wardrobe that I knew the dimensions of and just wish I could input it).Version: 4.9

In truth I think this app is worth either 4 or 5 it's a very good app. It seems to me to be extremely underhanded that they will not give you upgrades unless you say it's a good app, I've already paid £3.99 for it. I very nearly copied the definition of blackmail to paste on here; seems to very nearly fit. I wonder if this is the best way to get high star ratings, bit of a shame as I say as the app is probably worth the stars and the money. Manual adjustment of specific measurements is easy to do after you go through the automatic process. ✓ Still testing itThis is probably a little early to write a review as I have only used it for a few days. Initially I was very impressed but then found it a little inconsistent in its results. You need to move quickly for it to generate a more accurate result which is good but counter intuitive if your used to taking your time as this is normally linked with being accurate. I especially like the way you can drop doors and windows on a line and then adjust the position size. I would like to see a modular staircase with similar adjustments to the doors and windows. So why did I give it 5 stars? I think its potentially great and as an app it is useful and works well within the limitations of a small screen. Inferencing of walls would be good as long as it doesn't create any bugs. It hasn't crashed on me yet but a system restart helped fix one issue with a repeated error message. I have never been able to use this app to produce a professional plan, but I have used it countless times for DIY renovation projects. For me, the wall touch features have always been accurate and easy. I have updated this review since contact was made by the developer. In my previous review I had confused options available between an old version of the app, which was updated when I had upgraded my phone. The developer was honest and open, helping to distinguish the differences. ✓ Not bad at allThis is a clever App. You can draw the layout of a room very quickly. Then correct the measurements with a Bluetooth connected DISTO digital tape. You can add doors and windows and move to next room and do the same until you have full layout. It would not be as detailed as a proper building surveying exercise, but with the added connected DISTO digi tape, it is a great app to get in draw, measure and get out if you don't want spend too much time in a place. You can then export the drawing and measurements as PDF. DWG would have been better, but have seen an option for that yet. All in all pretty good..Version: 5.0.2

✓ Reliable and accurate to within the inchAs a property photographer I sometimes get called on to produce floor plans for the agents I work for, this task used to be the Bain of my life until I discovered this app around 4 years ago. It is quick and easy to use (some people have difficulty but just look at the tutorials) I can do a two up two down in less than ten minutes and the accuracy is great, I do a 10 per cent check with the laser as mine is an older model but is spot on every time. The other great feature is that it can send the floorplan straight over to metropix so no having to copy over its there for you when you get back to the office. The one time I have had a problem with this app the developer got the fix in place within hours of emailing them. A solid app deserving a solid 5🌟 👍🏼.Version: 7.12

Small project was called up to do quotation for a tendent and the property manager try to push the tendent not to make any holes on the floor for building a new wall. I told him the standard will not allow this and it is not save. The property manager tell me to draw a floor plan to give to the landlord. ✓ Wasn’t going to try.......because of a lot of recent negative reviews. However, all of the measurement apps have a lot of negative reviews and I liked the way the developers here responded. So I went ahead. Measured and joined 2 rooms in approximately 20 minutes. Easy-Peasy. Love it! Read the instructions. Dig around a bit in settings. There are 2 places you need to hit to change all measurements from meters to feet or vice-versa- that’s the only moment of passing frustration I had. I would like to be able to measure windows and doors in the app, is the only thing I feel is missing so far- and there might be a way to do that I haven’t found yet. This is great!
