✓ App has been buggy for monthsI’ve been using the app for a couple years and it used to work fine. However it’s become buggy lately (I’m on iphone ios 15). In the past year my cycle length has changed but the app marks every cycle as “Irregular” so the predictions are inaccurate. The settings will not allow me to change the definition of Irregular, and it won’t let me manually set my cycle duration either. I went to report this as a bug but the link in the app to report bugs doesn’t work so I’m resorting to giving a bad review. I hope the devs see this and fix the app..Version: 4.2.29

✓ Update ruined the appI’ve used this app since 2016 and loved how simple it was. The new update made it impossible to track anything. You just can’t edit a selected day and it won’t properly save changes. ✓ Why did everything change…Update: I’ve had to cancel my subscription and find a different app. This new update has made it extremely hard to use. It doesn’t keep my changes for my period length (which still adds 2 days at a time and then won’t let me reduce it). I’m disappointed with the changes. Also realized it no longer has Face ID to unlock, there now no way to keep the information in the app secure. Everything I liked about this app is gone. I’ve been using this app for a long time, I want to say almost 6-7 years? It used to be easy to help track my periods, I could extend my periods easily or shorten it. However with this new update everything has changed, I can’t extend my period as easily. It extends my period is groups of two additional days and then I can’t remove the period on the second day that was added. ✓ Deleted my first review after app update.I’ve used this app for years and the recent update was made it un useable. Also they deleted my first review saying how rubbish the update was for no reason? This app is basically useless now, it doesn’t show you the days until your expected period anymore, and also rather than just clicking and updating that you’ve started your period you’ve got to go through the whole nuisance of adding in flow,moods etc and it just feels like a day at collection app that they using the sell your personal information about your period one advertisers. ✓ Invasive “privacy” policyI downloaded this app but did not get past the terms and conditions so I uninstalled it. This app asks for access to way too much information that is not at all relevant to the features users are looking at using. Also telling is this statement from their policy “This app does not support ‘Do Not Track’ requests”. There is no need for this app to have access to the data it tries to access for example location information is really not relevant here. All apps should allow you to ask to not be tracked and this seems to be in violation of the apple trends which states that as a developer “starting with iOS 14.5, iPadOS 14.5, and tvOS 14.5,you’ll be required to ask users for their permission to track them across apps and websites owned by other companies.” Maybe I am missing something but I encourage you to read the terms and conditions..Version: 4.2.21

✓ The update made it so….Okay, I love this app. I have been using it since 2016. I’ve tracked my PCOS symptoms with it, 2 pregnancies, and a million other little and big changes that happened in my life with it. Absolutely love it. It has been worth the purchase. So why the 3 stars? The update that happened a few days ago turned it into a frilly teenager and young 20s app. That’s not really my life and I don’t need or desire dancing flowers and soft pinks everywhere on my app. I’d love to see a bigger variety in the wallpapers again because once again all of them feel like something I would’ve wanted when I was a teenager or in college. Please recognize that not all of the people who use this app want pinks and soft and as some assortment to the wallpapers or figure out a way so we can bring our own back..Version: 5.0.3

✓ I hate the new update!!It's very manipulative and you literally cannot access your own data of many years without agreeing to turn on notifications which I don't want and have never used. Literally can't click past that screen without saying yes and then they ask for lots of personal information which shouldn't be necessary and makes me nervous in the current political climate. BAD policy. Also the new "calendar" design is totally illegible with all the droplets and square shapes and large numbers and small numbers amounting to visual chaos where you can barely tell what you're looking at. There are no dividing lines and the top letters are cut off and all the numbers are different colors and all the shapes and colors make it impossible to track. I got Life years ago because it was the least cutesy of the lot, and I rely on its simple functions for my HEALTH. Please keep in mind when you change these things you're messing with women's HEALTH -- in my case I'm trying to track excessive bleeding from adenomyosis to present my case to doctors. It really makes me worry if the app has been bought up by a new entity that just wants our data, since the support link goes to an app-buyout company. ✓ No responseI have loved this app. I understand changing always takes time and getting used to but my rating is based on my attempt to address a couple of issues and never gotten a reply. Ovulation window is off and my data is not logging in (or showing) at all for this month. I don’t know if I want to wait and see what happens. I’ve been using another app simultaneously which wasn’t my favorite (this one was) but their customer service on the other one is great and that is really important- being heard and taken into account as a customer. If you’re not going to address your customers and take the time to make things better then why bother making the app at all? ✓ New look is not so goodI do not like the look of the app after the new update. It looked so much better before. What is the most important thing to see when you open the app? Of course the number of days to the next period. It used to be a huge number in the middle of the screen. You could spot it easily even when half asleep. Now that most important number is much smaller and next to it is not so important information. Why not use the whole screen to put info on instead of cluttering the middle of the screen? Another point is the first moment you open the app after the update. I really thought I lost all my data and that is years of period info. I had to go looking for the place to restore it. You really need a “press here to restore” for those who just did the update. Calendar look is also not very good. All the numbers are small and why on earth do you mark period days with a drop sign? Cant it be a flower shape or anything other than a drop? Lastly the new wallpaper selection only offers light possibilities. Add some darker ones (like the ones you used to have). ✓ New update is very frustratingI’ve used this app for probably 10 years and have LOVED being able to track my pregnancies. However, this new update has taken off all the helpful pregnancy features and doesn’t even calculate gestational age correctly (it is off by two weeks and doesn’t give you the weeks + days which was so helpful before). In addition, if won’t show gestational age when you look at your past pregnancies and entries which was one of my favorite features in comparing pregnancies and symptoms. Please bring that back! I wish I could restore the old version-so much easier to add notes/symptoms and the calendar legend was easier to view with just the simple lines instead of big drops (and nothing for pregnancy)..Version: 5.0.4
✓ Used to be greatThis app was AMAZING. I have been using it for at least 8 years, maybe more I can’t even remember. However, this new update ruined everything. All my history erased with the update, so I tried to download it from iCloud. For whatever reason the iCloud data is completely inaccurate. It has been a month and still nothing makes sense and my predictions have been off by at least a week. My cycle has always been 28 days spot on, with a few early or late starts here and there. The app is now telling me my cycle is 36 days?!?!??!! My ovulation was showing a week off as did my period. I am so disappointed in this app. I used to use it to plan my pregnancies and now I can’t rely on it to even get my cycle length correct. Also, I have to agree with the other recent reviews that the new calendar design is confusing and so different than what we’ve been used to for years. ✓ Dislike the new app, and my history was deleted!The app used to be easy to use and clear. It just updated and I find it challenging to navigate with many unnecessary features including predictions showing when I do not want them. Prior version was much better and I would consider other apps. Worse- is my history was deleted! and I had to answer very intrusive questions before logging into the new version- considering the sensitive material I put into this app that felt intrusive and I immediately am searching for alternatives. ALSO: I can’t figure out if there is a way to remove highlighting of ovulation week and comments about pregnancy chance. The company is alienating a core group of people who used this app for way more than period tracking, but for health purposes. I have custom entires for tracking mood, medication/supplements, food, sleep, fitness, etc- it was brilliant and easily searchable with a great visual representation of tags. The new update completed jumbled this- there’s no point to using tags, search is abysmal, and you don’t have a birds eye view. Also it’s beyond buggy. I am beyond disheartened to have lost so much I relied upon daily for years to help me track a variety of things for optimizing my health and conditions (adhd, pmdd) way beyond period tracking. ✓ New Update Ruined Reminder FunctionI’ve been using this app for almost 10 years without any issues. This app was the main reason I’ve been able to take my pill without forgetting each day. It had one function for me: to remind me to take my pill at the same time each day and would remind me every 30 min until I took the pill. A very simple concept that was essential to my day to day. This new update took that away? The reminder doesn’t work anymore and it’s constantly glitched with the old version thinking it needs to remind me so the app constantly has a “1” notification on it that doesn’t go away. I played around with the reminder settings each day trying to make it work but it isn’t reminding me. It sometimes does sometimes doesn’t? It isn’t reliable anymore and that reminder every 30 min is ESSENTIAL. I never write reviews but I’ve never seen an update ruin an app so much. I don’t want to give up on the app since I paid for this and I’ve been using it for a decade. But I am ITCHING to delete it. PLEASE FIX IT. The main functionality is gone. No one cares about fast facts about periods or period cramps we have google. Only reason why I’m keeping this app for now is because I just started my period and can afford to not be reminded for a week. If this continues at the end of the week I’m finding a new app or just gonna resort to my reminders app. I really really valued the 30 min reminders please add it back and fix the reminder bug that’s making it glitchy. ✓ Help! Used to love, now it won’t even openI used to LOVE this app. I used it to track my cycles and mine & my husbands sexual encounters when we were trying to conceive and it worked amazingly. I’ve had the app for years, since 2015 and I have never had any issues when I upgrade phones until this time. I upgraded to an iPhone 11 from the 10 I had and now, it only shows me the loading page that has the logo and says “waiting”. I’ve sat on that page now for over a half hour and no change. Then I tried closing and opening, restarting phone and trying again and nothing works! I never had an issue with prior upgrades and always backup to iCloud multiple times daily, especially before upgrading. So I’m so confused as to why this app is suddenly on the fritz. ✓ Doesn’t predict cycle lengthI’ve been looking forward to having accurate cycle predictions for 8 months, as I waited to have 7 periods to enter (6 full cycles). My cycle has always been long like that, averaging 40-ish days. I finally entered my sixth data point regarding my cycle length and it is still predicting that my next period will be in 28 days and tells me that my average cycle length is 27! The data I’ve collected actually averages to a 42 day cycle. It’s as if it is engineered to assume that any entry over 28 days is equal to 28 days, making it impossible to predict a long cycle accurately. I found a different app which adjusts predictions based on input data and will be using that now instead..Version: 4.1.47
✓ Completely useless since updateI am perimenopausal and was using this app to track my erratic periods and to see when I have actually reached menopause. Since the app update I can no longer see the correct details of my current cycle. It is not clear which year the cycle lengths are referring to. In addition it is telling me I am in an ovulation phase and that as my estrogen levels are rising it is a great time to connect with loved ones!!! Are you kidding? ✓ Not happy with updatesI’ve used this app since 2015 for many things. I would recommend this app to so many people. But this last update is the worst on an app I’ve experienced. On April 17th 2024, to my surprise without any notification or my permission the Life app updated & removed all of data entries. I am very upset that all of my previous entries were uploaded to iCloud automatically. Again without my permission. NOT ABLE TO RESTORE DATA BACK ON THE APP. It keeps surfing for hours & not there is no entire on my iCloud from LIFE APP. I do not like the new updated version. 1. There is no sync or export to email data entires option. 2. Many other options look like they were removed. 3. Not able to write daily data entires. You didn’t listen to no one but created a mess. This was wrong. ✓ Good app, some improvements would be niceI think this is one of the most accurate period tracker apps. I’ve tried most of them, and this one comes closest to predicting my somewhat irregular periods. I don’t need an app to track fertility or pregnancy so most of the extra premium features are unnecessary. So it’s really really annoying to have a pop-up pushing the subscription every time I open the app. It’s actually driven me to start looking for a replacement. And $104 per year for a period tracker is really expensive. I think the app is too dark. The black outline (regardless of which wallpaper you choose) is kinda depressing. If it had an option to brighten it, it would be 4 stars. 5 stars without the nagging subscription pop up..Version: 4.2.3

✓ Awful update, especially for trans guysThe new update is terrible. I have used this app for years as a simple period tracker, and I appreciated that it was straightforward and not overly gendered. Now, the app has become a bloated mess, full of condescending UI changes. I do not like having fertility/pregnancy shoved in my face. Now, my “most fertile days” are highlighted on my calendar by default. I now have a “chance for pregnancy” listed on my homepage that I cannot remove. This is much more overbearing than the app has ever been before. The mandatory demographics questions were pretty invasive, too. I will no longer be recommending this app to my friends, especially my fellow trans men. If you want a simple period tracker that doesn’t misgender you or constantly remind you of pregnancy, look elsewhere. Obviously, most period trackers are geared towards cisgender women. ✓ LISTEN TO YOUR APP USERS!!!!!!I’ve used this app for five years and it has been great but the new update is awful. Wow. Just wow. Both my husband and I use this app to track my period and even he told me (unprompted by me) how much he dislikes this app. I have notifications that will not go away that I cannot find within the app itself to delete, so my app tile always has numbers on it. It drives me crazy that I cannot clear these notifications. I also get notifications that are completely off. I put that I started my period in the app and I was getting notifications that my period would start in a few days, that I would PMS in a few days, etc, even though I already told the app my period started days ago? So many things in this app used to be customizable and you can no longer customize. The Home Screen is awful. The app used to be so perfect. So many reviews are reflecting the same tone, I hope the developers correct this, especially for those of us who have paid..Version: 5.2.0
✓ Terrible updateIt was the only app I used to track my cycle for the past 6-7 years - simple, reliable, perfect. Yes, the UI was a bit old - but who cares if the app was perfectly accurate and easy to use! I had no issues with it since I first installed it. But what did you do to it in your last update?! I wish it was never updated… my cycle starts in one week, but I’m receiving notifications that it will start tomorrow, and the calendar inside the app shows that I has already started today… what the heck?! Plus, in the previous version the was a handy button “add/remove period” where I could manually adjust the days of my cycle. I can see this button still exists but it is not clickable in every date.. like, i can click it on days before the expected period (as per calendar) but I can’t click it on the days where it shows I have my period (like, it shows I have it today (and I don’t) and I’m unable to use this button to remove the remove this one day from my cycle).. I understand, you didn’t expect the app would crash that badly with this new UI, but please do sth ASAP PS I don’t know how about other users, but I personably don’t care that the app is now “nicer” to me and started sending me notifications with the words “hello”, “take care”. ✓ Useless!I have been using this app consistently for approx 10 years. I was so confused to open it a week or so ago to find all my recoded info missing. I did the back up as suggested which restored all my dates. It was okay for a day and since then I haven’t even been able to open the app, I just get a screen with flashing flowers. I have emailed twice for help as suggested in other replies but have had no answer. Moving on to another app now that hopefully won’t let me down. ✓ Lost all my data and paid features.I used to love the app and paid for one-time lifetime subscription to the “Life Pro” app about 2-3 years ago. This week, the app started crashing when I tried to open it so I deleted and reinstalled. However, they discontinued the “Pro” app and all my data is gone. I can’t restore for the iCloud backup . The instructions in the Q&A are useless as the app doesn’t recognize that my iCloud has the data in the “Pro” app - I can actually see two different backups in iCloud but can’t access my old data. I was also not able to restore the Premium feature that I paid for as a lifetime deal. Once again, the instructions are useless as the “restore premium” button is not active, nor am i trying to restore the “same” app. Very frustrating as I have years of data that I can’t access otherwise and I paid for something that was supposed to be a one-time fee..Version: 4.2.18
✓ Untrustworthy app and overpricedI had been using this app for years until today. I was using it to track period and pill reminders. After some time, I changed from the paid membership to free since I wasn’t using the premium features as much. Suddenly today they made the pill reminders and tracking as part of premium only. The app did not remind me to take my pill today. That is completely messed up. Did they inform via notifications about this premium change? Nope. Luckily I have a second form of reminder so I was safe, but I can’t believe this app would do that. On top of that, you can only track periods otherwise pay $2/week or $104/year to use their app. They don’t even offer a bundle membership, though I’d still only be willing to pay $2/month for this. Of course I won’t be paying an absurd amount and have them maybe not remind me about my pill. There are plenty of other ways to track all things period, and there are plenty of free ones that don’t sell your data either..Version: 4.2.10
✓ Good but wish it had more featuresIt’s a good basic tracker, and I found it helped when conceiving my daughter. I wish you could alter the length of your cycles if you are a person who differs from 28 days. I’d also like to be able to add more cymbals to the calendar. ✓ Terrible updateLike many others, this recent update has been absolutely awful. Thankfully I didn’t loose my data except for the last month. But every thing else is bad. The new layout is hard to understand and navigate while before it was easy, straightforward and clear cut. The color scheme was perfect and the vertical design was so much easier. The focus on the calendar was amazing and the first screen gave you all the information that you wanted. This new update is cluttered and hard to read due to the font changes. The blocked textures are noisy. I do not like the soft color scheme changes, it just makes it feel more like a “feminine app” now which is irritating. Just go back to the black! The way you log information now is not good either and was better before. Just who the heck thought messing with this app was a good idea huh!? It is hard enough trying to find good apps for women centric issues and now it’s one less. ✓ It WAS greatI’ve had this app and have had it for the last 8 year and I loved it. It was easy to understand and tracking was straightforward. I liked that you could change the background and there wasn’t too much information for you to intake. The new update is annoying and hard to navigate. I thought I had lost my last 8 years of data, but I was able to import it. One BIG issue aside from the new calendar layout is, the app does not let me easily extend my period. When I do extend it, it automatically adds TWO days instead of one and if you want to delete that extra day you have to remember to go back the next day because it will not let you. In addition, it doesn’t actually save the extension of the period. I have tried 4 separate times now and once i close the app and reopen it, the extension is gone. I hate the way the symptoms are set up too and the overall layout is just not good like it used to be. I will be getting a new tracking app unless they go back to the original design. ✓ Newest version removed all the best parts of this app.I’ve been using this app for nearly 10 years. I loved how simple it was to use, the ability to track data, add custom data, and access it as needed. I LOVED the ability to password protect the app as well. This was the main reason I stayed with this app for so long! Then it wasn’t free anymore, but I must have been grandfathered in as I’ve never had to pay a subscription. But my data that has been tracked for so long is still here and I could still password lock my app for privacy.. And now the newest update completely changed the layout, ease of data viewing, over complicated what was so simple and user friendly before, and completely removed the ability to password lock! I legitimately have no other reason to stay with this app. I mine as well download my historical data and start fresh again elsewhere. Please at least give us the ability to lock the app for privacy, and consider allowing us to decide what style of views we want. This current one is irritating to work with. ✓ Locked up my dataI’ve been using this tracker for years. Had at least one hundred periods logged. It was simple, easy to use, and kept track of my previous periods while giving me predictions of when my next period would start. Today I check the app to find that all of those features (even my own personal history of periods!) are locked up and cannot be accessed without a premium subscription. App was free for years and now suddenly I need to pay $3 a week for not only the most basic information, but also a bunch of extra stuff I neither wanted or needed. ✓ What Happened? ):I have been using this app since 2016. One of my favorite features that is unique to your app is the tag analysis. For example Tracking headaches in relation to my cycle has been invaluable and seeing the graph of how many headaches I have a month is invaluable information and totally unique and an incredible feature. Or tracking medication use over the years etc… The notes I took were also invaluable about this as well. Where is the tag analysis and the search feature? I also loved the simplicity of the app before the update that sets you apart from all other apps. I am all about change and progression and your app was wonderful before this update and hoping the simplicity can be brought back in some capacity. I checked the most recent reviews and see I am not alone in this update. What happened here? I am sorry and I am just confused to why the app changed completely when it was so simple and clean and functional. Please let me know if there is any discussion to bring the previous interface back. ✓ Miss cycle day viewI’m not sure about the new update yet because I haven’t had much time to use it. However, I miss being able to see the cycle days on the calendar view. Now you have to tap a day to see what cycle day it was. This is something I relied on, so it’s a big missing piece. Ex: if today is day 10 of my cycle, I like to look back at day 10 of previous months. It’s not easy to do that now. I would also like to have the option of securing the app with a passcode again. Edit after getting to use it more: I really don’t love the new layout. All of the emojis are cluttered and outdated. Makes it seem like an app for children. I just want the old simple streamlined version. Also not being able to edit Journal entries is dumb. I don’t really need a Journal option. I just need a place to put little notes.
