Bose SoundTouch for Negative User Reviews

Just terribleI made the mistake of buying this years ago and I don’t use it that often as I have a ho go set up, ie a hardwired old school separates system. So, occasionally I just want some quick ‘before I go out’ kind of music but no..... it’s yet another update to slow me down. Thus, as I have a fairly slow internet connection it’s more time than I have to pass than the update will take. You can’t convince it that the updates not needed. You get no choice. Trying to fool it into allowing you to use the Auxiliary doesn’t work either. Of course the app itself leaves something to be desired and in the end the sound is just passable but none oh this would matter so much if I wasn’t being railroaded into an update on those few occasions I actually want to listen to the thing. Frustrating.Version: 23.0.4

Too many updatesWhy every time I open up the SoundTouch app I get prompted that I have to wait 20 minutes for the speaker to update! This is just way too long!! Why can’t the speaker just update in the background when I’m not using it like my iPhone does. There should be an option to skip the updates. The speaker is working perfectly the way it is, why should I be forced to update every time I want to use it..Version: 26.0.1

ADAPTiQ headsetHi I am not able to set it up correctly as the ADAPTiQ headset was missing in the box.Version: 21.0.7

Thoroughly fed up......Why do Bose keep changing stuff (and very rarely actually improving anything!). Yesterday none of my radios worked, lots of walking around the house re-booting each one (more than once), checked my internet and re-booted my server only to find much later in the day that Bose has dispensed with internet radio in favour of ‘TuneIn’ - thank you for letting me know! A warning of this change a day or two before would mean I was prepared, not confused. The App isn’t very good either - this system is a continuous cause of frustration, not helpful at all. If these speakers weren’t so bloody expensive I would have dispensed with Bose in favour of a different brand a long time ago..Version: 20.0.2

Changement de paysJ’ai changé de pays et SoundTouch ne fonctionne pas? L’amplificateur n’est pas reconnu? Solutions?.Version: 27.0.1

Very disappointed!I own the Bose Lifestyle 135 series 3. Absolutely amazing system!!! This app however has got to be the worst app in the world of audio. That’s when it works! My system is less than a few years old yet will not update. The app when it does load states an error with no identifying information. Delete the app. Download again, try sign in. Create new account. Log in - can not find speaker. 5th try, half an hour later. Finds speaker, something went wrong is all it says during setup. No other option but to start all over again! Love the sound, always have... Listening to your latest equipment. Sorry Bose has lost that absolute emotional experience that Bose once delivered! If anyone at Bose would like to get in touch to fix my current Lifestyle System I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance..Version: 23.0.4

TuneIn integration unworkableThis app cannot get it together with TuneIn. Finds an internet station that streams fine from the TuneIn app but sound touch says Error 4501 (Apollo 11, anyone?) and hmmm that didn’t work- please try again. As if that makes it work. Multiple feedback entries over the past few years but no improvement in this app. Sure the system sounds great but don’t toss out your CD’s..Version: 27.0.1

Great when it works - UnreliableBought 3 SoundTouch units back in 2017 and we have limped along with them ever since. Updates to the app have not fixed most issues, although the poltergeist controlled volume problems seemed to have stopped this year. Synching the units has been a complete joke. Most of the time only 2 out of 3 are visible from the app. And when we do get all three working, the main unit keeps falling intermittently silent. Disappointed music lovers. How could Bose get this so wrong for so long? So why have we kept them? When they do work, the sound quality is fab and we can’t afford to change to sonos yet!.Version: 27.0.1

Doesn’t workHonestly one of the worst apps. It hardly ever works. We have 2 speakers connected to the app and it is constantly kicking the speakers off and not connecting. In fact one won’t even connect again. Also the music never plays from here. We have resorted to using the single working speaker and running it off of Spotify instead of this app. Pretty disappointed in the app especially for how expensive the speakers are..Version: 27.0.1

Improve your qualitySince the latest app update, error message soundtouch 300 can’t be found on wifi please ensure connection, have repaired my soundbar 3 times now. the app won’t play internet radio stations unless I use the remote control, unresponsive using app 75% of time, for a premium sound you pay a premium price and you would expect a premium app. Highly disappointed and extremely frustrated in this update, BOSE lift your game. Or suffer the consequences..Version: 17.170.81

App cannot find speakers even when they are playingThe speakers are great. If there was only a way to make them work other than this buggy, blind app I would be overjoyed. It seems to put extra effort into not seeing the speakers and that means more than half the functionality (synched playing, airplay etc) is a matter of luck. I’m playing the radio through them right now and it insists there are no speakers connected to my wifi. Bose, do better! And if anyone else has a good aftermarket alternative, please promote it in my direction..Version: 27.0.1

Mediocre AppThe soundtouch system is good. Excellent sound quality. I enjoy having room to room music. The look could be better. In my opinion Sonos have the edge where design is concerned. The app is terrible. Especially where volume is concerned. It has a mind of its own when changing volume via the app. Even when the app is closed the volume sometimes changes. To stop this happening you need to completely close the app and re-open. Really poor for such expensive equipment. I get the feeling that Bose will be coming out with a new system soon and hope they will continue working on this app to get it functioning correctly..Version: 23.0.4

Internet radio missingWhy did Bose delete internet radio! This is the reason why I bought the system and you did this without warning and cause frustration for me..Version: 20.0.3

Bose soundtouch AppThis App is seriously provoking major frustration. I can play using bluetooth but the Speaker keeps disconnecting from WiFi and trying to get it to connect again takes super-human patience. So far today I have tried 10 times. So very annoying. My iPhone plays ok, my iPad and laptop do not. And then it will switch it all up. Dislike, annoying,.Version: 27.0.1

Pandora continually stops playingYes, it would be nice if more platforms were supported… That said, the platforms that are supported should work consistently. I have had an ongoing problem that I have reported multiple times where Pandora will play one song then the app freezes. I have to turn it off and turn it back on. It will then begin playing in the middle of the last song and if I don’t skip to the next song, it will freeze again. This will happen multiple times a day every day. It may then play five songs in a row just fine and freeze again. Sometimes, it will play for an hour or more before this starts. Then, I may go three or four days where it works just fine. Then, it will randomly start again. I’ve done everything from factory resets to creating new accounts from scratch. It has done this on multiple WiFi networks. If I use the speaker has Bluetooth, it’s just )so long as I’m within Bluetooth range). I have had this speaker for years and it worked flawlessly until about a year or so ago. I originally intended to buy more speakers and expand. I think I will have to start over and spend my money on Sonos instead..Version: 26.0.5

IPhone libraryNeed an update so can play songs from iPhone library straight from phone..Version: 18.1.4

The worst app and a buggy speakerI use to live Bose products but this has ruined my experience. The app rarely finds/connects to the speaker and SoundTouch 20 needs constant updates before I can use it..Version: 27.0.1

PLEASE FIX THE APP!Every time I open the app it says trying to find your speaker….. My soundtouch is already playing streaming services i added initially when I set up my soundtouch 30….. is there no updates available? C’mon now..Version: 27.0.1

Doesn't connect to the speakerExcellent speaker and the app is good when you first set it up, but never stays connected to the speaker for long. Needs a serious update to correct stability of the app connectivity.Version: 15.120.23

Bose: focus on sound. Apps is not your businessHow come Bose CMO or CDO accept to see such an App represent your strong brand. This is not the standard that the company should operate under..Version: 27.0.1

So buggy!Drops my speakers constantly lately. Adding them again is painful and clunky and the next day another one is gone. Also, why not remember the last group used so I don’t have to do it every time. I own six of these speakers because I love the sound they produce. (Got the first one in 2015!) Do better with the overall experience please! You’ve been at this a long time, why isn’t it better and stable by now?.Version: 27.0.1

Crashing! This app just doesn’t work.I’ve tried wifi connect, ethernet, connect logging out and logging in, creating a new account but still no go All that happens is you go through th whole procedure and when you finally get to the end a “Somethings happened, can’t connect, try again later” Seriously? Maybe ad a bit more trouble shooting info rather than “Try again later”.Version: 27.0.1

UselessEvery time I start this app it turns my Cinemate 520 system on and plays music at full volume, I have to restart the app while also having to turn the system down with the normal remote. While using the app if I control the volume using my phone it fluctuates the volume continuously until I restart the app..Version: 15.120.23

Soundtouch 300 + subwooferAfter an initial feeling of disappointment when I first set the system up I can honestly say the system is great, the sub is a must, especially for movies. A couple of things to realise, 1: get the software updates and run the calibration 2: The production on the source material really matters, if it's a poor production all the system does is amplify it but get a quality production and the system is fantastic, the opening scene to Spectre (4K) is testament to that. One reason for moving to the Bose 300 was to improve our enjoyment of music content alone and it does a great job. Would I recommend it yes, I tried Yamaha and Sonos and simply preferred this system. Get your musical content from the highest quality signal you can, it does make a difference..Version: 15.120.23

Buggy and eraticVolume can go wild. From normal to full blast in seconds without touching anything. Only happens on spotify. Other times, no matter what track I want to hear, something else will start playing. Buggy and erratic. App is upto date. Speakers are upto date. Doesn't seem to get any better.Version: 27.0.1

Fonctions manquantesCette application serait vraiment plus utile s’il était possible d’y régler les basses et les aigus au lieu d’avoir à le faire manuellement en utilisant des touches non conviviales sur la télécommande..Version: 27.0.1

Frustration reigns supremeThe app is magnificent once you get it to work with multiple speakers. After many hours (literally) of following the process it worked. Until the moment I went to add another device in the family and I was back to wasting time again and gave up after an hour. Setting that device up affected the first device in some way and I’m back to square one with it and unable to connect speakers ... AGAIN! Also, when you go into a new device and use the forgot password function ... it says it’ll send an email to your account email, but simply doesn’t, I’m still waiting for the reset. Like I said, magnificent when it works, but I’m seriously regretting my investment in Bose for my home system because of this app!.Version: 18.1.4

Never stays connectedTotal pain to connect and never stays connected. It’s not user friendly. Obviously written by the cheapest software developers they could find. Love your hardware Bose but please sort out your apps for the sake of got! So frustrating!.Version: 27.0.1

Not so reliable appThe first version was really great since it change configuration. Some device get out of sync. It take long to reset the all thing. It’s really frustrating. The concept is genius but the application is poor!.Version: 27.0.1

DisappointedBought 3 SoundTouch speakers set with the promise of AirPlay 2 support. Almost 3 years and still no AirPlay 2. What a letdown. SoundTouch (ST) owners are also forgotten because Bose released new app that doesn’t support ST products..Version: 22.0.2

BuggyConcept is great but the app has bugs. The volume control doesn’t respond and starts increasing until it hits max. Basic stuff going wrong!.Version: 17.170.82

Still waiting for timer/alarm functionSeriously, this should a standard function! The hardware remote functions are limited and I’m ok with that but why deliberately leave out this standard function on the app? Maybe to try and influence customers to buy the soundwave product? Not interested in the wave product. Please fix this issue as customers have been asking for it for several years..Version: 18.1.4

Some small issuesGreat system, but sometimes has lagging and sometimes does pick up all speakers.Version: 18.1.4

New stability fix a (continued) dudIf I could unwind 5 Years I would not buy Bose. At that time we bought a SoundTouch 20 for our small house. Routinely buggy interface but good quality sound. Moved to a bigger home a couple years back and decided we wanted synchronized radio & music as we moved between kitchen & living / dining areas. We stayed in the Bose family as it seemed unlikely we could easily integrate a different device. Bought a Soundtouch 10 for the kitchen. Oops. A typical session involves restarts of one or both devices, exit & re-entry of i6-based app, and surrender to use of one device to eliminate unsynced delays of maybe half to a full second. The iPad app seems to work a bit better for some reason though all are connected to a seemingly strong Wi-Fi signal. Sometimes I lose control of one device & sometimes both. The 10 drops out for 5 seconds every 15 to 40 minutes for no apparent reason. If I use the handheld for volume it seems the app gives up and only a restart allows volume control from the app. Very friendly tech support people have walked me through the a purge & reprogram process (about 30 minutes). I was able to regain intermittent control (described above) after I’d lost it completely when the 20 spontaneously reconnected to an alternate wi-fi signal we’d run it through about a year back. I’m baffled that others report such clean success and envy their good fortune..Version: 17.170.82

Apps just do not workApps got downloaded and is asking me to connect to Wifi I do but it just won’t connect saying that Bose is having problems tried for many days still the same.Version: 27.0.1

ArdyI give 5 star for the speaker and 1 star for the app. Some of my stations on TuneIn radio doesn’t connect! When I disconnect and reconnect from my living room to my backyard, reconnection fails after couple of unplugging and replugging it connects..Version: 27.0.1

App won’t play Sirius XM on demandThere is a flaw in the App: I can stream Sirius XM, but the on-demand service does not work, and I receive an errormessage..Version: 20.0.3

Constantly looking for speakerApp is useless. It is constantly looking for the speakers. After a few minutes it finds them but if you quit the app and try using it a few minutes later it’s the same old searching for speaker..Version: 27.0.1

Glitchy app, and appalling customer serviceI have gradually built my Bose soundtouch collection over the last few years and it worked fine for a while. Then it developed a problem and customer service has not been able to fix it. when I’m playing music on multiple speakers, the volume just runs away until it is on maximum. Also I installed a mesh WiFi. Now the speakers may or may not appear on the app, as and when they feel like it. I changed the whole WiFi system to Vodafone broadband with their super boosters which is basically a mesh system and still the same problem. I was passed around for two weeks by customer services who had no idea how to fix the problem and had no interest in actually helping me. The eventually told me to use Alexa to control multi room music which basically means I have paid a premium for wifi speakers which just don’t work, and they are telling me to not use the Bose app to control my Bose speakers. These speakers are not good value for money and do not work as they should. I will be selling my system and moving to Sonos and will be sharing this experience with anyone considering buying a Bose product..Version: 27.0.1

App never works!!The absolute worst app I’ve ever used!! It never finds my speakers and can never connect with my wifi. When I had to reset my SoundTouch system and use the app to set up my speakers it never works!! Bose you need to do better and make things less complicated for people! I should be able to just plug and play!!.Version: 27.0.1

AppThe app no longer works on my iPad mini 9.3.5.since your last update. The app opens than closes right away. Please fix this problem..Version: 21.0.4

Spruce gooseThis giant expense is a poor performer. I have spent hours trying to get a device to connect multiple times during the 3 years we have used this app and system. Finicky would be a generous description. Between the music getting dropped and speakers getting dropped, I am kept busy troubleshooting. Plan on an hour or two to reconnect a speaker. Believe me, I could write the book on the steps to connect and I usually have to try a dozen or more times before the equipment will work. I own at least one of each of the different devices- maybe thats the problem, I don’t know. Heaven forbid it happens during a gathering. After covid calms and we start having parties I will NOT be able to rely on SoundTouch. We have spent $1000s on Bose equipment- Is it too much to ask to just be able to turn on music? Can anyone tell me how to use the system without a network but without the app???? Address that Bose!!! Give me internet free contol.Version: 26.0.5

DisappointedFirst sound is amazing however using it is near impossible and so not user friendly.Version: 27.0.1

It’s worse and worseI have three speakers and love the sound of them! That is if the app manages to play anything. I have updated everything and still now it doesn’t want me to add channels to the convenient buttons on the top! It only can find one speaker from within Spotify. I have all three on the same network and logged in. It would be great if you could make this work like it did 8 or so years ago…..Version: 27.0.1

Really poor appThis is just a poor quality app. Bose regularly seeks user feedback and ignores it. The user interface is poorly designed, confusing and frustrating. Just plain illogical. The windows desktop app needs to be shut down and restarted every now and then so it can find the speakers. Having said all that, it does work. It’s just a weird interface. This is the only review I’ve ever written, this app just annoys me so much..Version: 18.1.4

FailThis app is written by fools. With each claimed app “improvement” comes a big leap backwards. Bose has reached a new low. The app CANNOT find the speaker...PERIOD. Factory resets have been applied and Wi-fi router is working perfectly as proven by Fluke WiFi analyser. (That the best Analyser tool money can buy). However if I switch the radio on via the Remote then the app will see it. What rubbish. It used to wake on LAN ie when you opened the app the searching for speaker would use a port that would wake the unit to receive commands from the app. Now removed!!! Rubbish. That’s as fair as I can be without using an absolute tirade of expletives which would in fact better represent how I feel about the latest claimed “improvement”..Version: 17.170.82

Infuriating app and it's getting worse4 June 2018 Seemingly no longer supports “play all”, so I can’t listen without turning speakers on and off as I switch between rooms. It’s been one speaker or the other for the last week or so. I’d have bought a third one by now if this actually worked like it’s supposed to but no way. Really thought this app would have been sorted by now. Beyond frustrating and disappointing. Further update 28 Nov 2016. App is having trouble recognising my system since the update. Greyed out devices. And I was fed up before....... Update 27 Oct 2016 App has actually got worse since my review. Second speaker selected constantly cuts out, so can't have music playing seamlessly in more than one room. Having to listen to radio stations via their individual apps using the Bluetooth function, as it won't connect any longer to my loaded radio presets. Staggering that Bose haven't fixed this dreadful app yet or replaced it with one that actually does what it's supposed to. This app is full of bugs. Won't connect to my music library (???) and switching systems / enabling groups is usually painful & often simply doesn't work. Not impressed..Version: 18.1.4

App cannot connect speaker to my SoundTouch accountI have Wave SoundTouch 4 system. Tried adding it to my Sound Touch account through the app. Wasted 6 months and hours of wait and talking to Bose customer support. No much help from Bose customer support either - just trial and error. I couldn’t add and Bose asking 140$ for their technician to look at. I was talking over the phone with Bose Customer Support and also simultaneously chatting on customer support messenger. For a given question, the customer support guy on the phone says a different reason than the guy I’m messaging with. They have no clue all they do is read the manual and parrot it out BOSE is NOT what it used to be. Sound quality from Apple’s ORIGINAL HOMEPOD is “million times” better than Bose Wave Sound Touch 4. Bass on Bose is terrible. Will never ever buy a BOSE product.Version: 27.0.1

FrustratingMy speakers don’t work in harmony anymore seems like it’s getting worse. And please add airplay 2 as promised 2 years ago.Version: 22.0.2

Limited functionality with the appI have a Bose Wave SoundTouch IV and it’s great except you have to use a really small buttoned remote control. I was hoping that this app could replace the need for the small remote, but no. The app does not let me control anything on the Wave that isn’t sourced from the network - I can’t select DAB or CD without using the small remote. If I was previously playing a CD and then later my wife wants the radio on she has to hunt down the small remote and find the right button - which she complains about as it’s fiddly and as she hasn’t the patience. It’s not ideal, come on Bose just add a mimic of the remote control to the app - it would be so much better..Version: 17.170.82

So close, but.....I’ve now used this app for 2 years, with 5 speakers around the house. Sometimes it connects, most of the time I can only get anything from the speakers by using the remote control which means I can’t synchronise speakers. The problem is that if the broadband drops (about once a month), the app can no longer find the speakers. Normally the solution is to disconnect all speakers at the electrical socket, and after a minute switch them all on again. NOT THIS TIME. I give up. The app can see two speakers of 5. I can use the remote to stream live radio to the others, so the are connected to wifi, but apparently not according to the app. SUGGEST YOU DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE APP OR BUY THE SPEAKERS.Version: 18.1.4

Bose. SoundTouch AppPlease stay away from this sound system if you are looking to have an integrated home system. Bought this over Sonos as I like the brand and after paying good money to put this into my home the app is completely useless. I’m genuinely at a loss as to how a reasonable manufacturer can get the hardware right but all the controls through the app so wrong and they just don’t work at all. Constantly losing the amps, so it doesn’t pick up room speakers, the volume controls take on a life of their own and it’s frustrating to the point of unusable. How can this be so bad? Bose, please sort this out. I’ve never written a review before, disappointing that I’ve taken to writing this with a brand I have always been loyal to. System is going up for sale, Sonos going in, prepared to take a serious loss to get some useability and something that actually just works..Version: 15.120.23

App renders the hardware uselessI rarely use my two speakers because the software is so bad. It just doesn’t work. I will be listening to a song on one and mid-way it will lose connection and then be unable to reconnect. No reason for it and could be days before it will reconnect, again for no apparent reason. I will never buy Bose again, which is a shame because I like the speakers. I recently added a couple of Apple HomePods to my home and they integrate seamlessly, always connect, sound great and arguably look better. Bose must be throwing customers away by their thousands with this software. So sad when they used to be considered the benchmark others aspired to..Version: 26.0.5

Update has broken it...!Great speakers but app really lets the Soundtouch system down. This app wouldn't connect to our speaker originally until Bose updated the app and firmware. It worked great until a couple of weeks ago when they did another update and now the app cannot find our speaker until we switch it off at the wall and back on again! Even then it will lose connection if you listen for a while and you have to switch it off again. Shame as I really was thinking of adding more speakers when it was working fine, shame on you Bose..Version: 17.170.82

Speaker good... software is SOOO frustratingSpeaker sound quality great. The software and daily use of this renders it absolutely useless. The app and firmware have to constantly be updated to work as advertised. It seams like every other time I try to connect to my speaker in the living room. It does not work. I have stop what I’m doing and spend what feels like 30 mins screwing with it to get it to work. I have to go through every speaker and app. Half the time I have to call a buddy over and use his time to get it working. Also, It’s another email password you have to remember. Which is a pain for friends that only come over once every 6 months and want to play their play list. I wish I had not bought this stuff. Just want to go back to plugging a wire in. At least that works every time without fail. I don’t like leaving negative reviews. But I bought this to have something cool to present every 2 or 3 months to show off and enjoy... without fail, this has disappointed me and disappointment is what comes to mind every time I see the word BOSE now... If this is the same system all WiFi speakers have... Stay away from them. Save your $ and quality speakers that don’t have the WiFi feature. It’s and expensive lesson to learn otherwise..Version: 18.1.4

Some extra functionality pleaseHaving my own collection of CD’s I researched the list of compatible NAS drives and landed on the WD MyCloud. Linking this to the app was extremely easy and we now are now able to stream from the NAS to one or all of the three BOSE products we have (Bose 10, 20 and SoundTouch Link). Having reached this stage the lack of additional capabilities in the app to dynamically build a playlist by selecting tracks and adding them to a queue is really noticeable and is where the app falls down. Anyway you could consider the NAS streamers BOSE and add some extra functionally in a future release?.Version: 23.0.4

Not working since latest updateSince the last update Sirius xm doesn’t work. Doesn’t find my iTunes library. The update deleted all my presets. Completely useless app..Version: 23.0.4

Tune inSince this last update I can no longer get ZM, which is what I have been listening to since I purchased the speaker over 2 years ago. Really unhappy about them using tune in, its a speaker, I should be able to listen to what I want on it!!!.Version: 20.0.3

ReviewI’ve had a lot of trouble connecting to internet radio from my ap on iPhone and have had to resort to manual - getting up out of my chair! Think an upgrade has just happened and today everything was peachy pie. Hope it continues to be so - when it’s good it’s very very good but when it’s bad it’s horrid. If it stays this good I’ll change the star rating..Version: 20.0.3

Crappy AppAlthough speaker is working well, nice sound quality, the App is the crappiest have seen from a major company. Doesn’t work 90% of the time and I see same comments for the past 2 years. What is going on Bose? This is almost 2021. Don’t tell us you can’t fix that problem unless you really don’t care..Version: 26.0.5

Bizarre user interfaceUsing this on a WaveSound Touch system IV in the UK. The remote control can access DAB and FM radio stations (but you can’t check the MUX or bitrate, only the signal strength). However, it can only access the six internet stations you’ve allocated to the presets via the app. Meanwhile, the app has no control or access over the DAB/FM radio but can set the 6 presets and many other favourites. But you can’t review the urls you’ve set up, so if you find a “better” one you can’t be sure if you’re already using it. And, in the UK, Tune-in has no access to international stations so these all have to be added as custom urls. Unlike others, I have had no connectivity issues. Although there are random unexplained software updates with no discernible changes to user experience..Version: 27.0.1

AvisSouvent le son coupe. Problème de mise à jour?.Version: 27.0.1

PunishingI can’t tell you how much I hate this app and speaker. You settle in to listen to music and it drops in and out constantly. And it’s not our internet. Everything else in the house works fine. Just as you’re listening to an important news item it drops out. App updates are punishingly often and rarely fix anything. If the Bose speaker and Soundtouch app worked consistently they’d be great....Version: 25.0.4

Latest update has broken the appSince the v26 update the app is stuck on loading screen..Version: 26.0.0

Unrealiable app - poor interface and frequent crashesBose SoundTouch ecosystem has been overall a very disappointing and gruelling experience. Not only will the app frequently crash (either on OSX or iOS) but the much touted PLAY ALL function that is supposed to allow seamless multi speaker playback simply does not work reliably causing the need to frequently restart speakers, routers and iOS device. Further the soundtouch app seems to interfere with the wifi management on iOS as opening will sometimes cause the iOS device to lose its wifi connectivity causing multiple error messages within the app. Bose support is generally not reachable and when they are they also tend to be quite defensive and try to push back the blame on the user system rather than really help to solve the problem. For reference I recommend potential soundtouch system buyers to first check the Bose community forum under the “Play All” key words - very educational reading on the actual performance of the system and how Bose handles consumer support....Version: 18.1.4

Not worthyNever works when it shows.Version: 25.0.4

Acoustimass is pointlessThought this would be an excellent xmas present from the Mrs (for a change). Couldn’t wait to set it up. To say it’s poor is an understatement. It’s one of the most expensive music systems on the market and I expected more. I don’t want to hear “have you set it up correctly” I want bose to provide a product and app that should blow sonos out the water. Sadly they have (Sonos) far superior products. My brother has the sonos and there simply is no comparison. The Bose falls massively behind in just about ever area - the app, the individual performance, the flexibility and control of each piece of kit. His sub could vibrate his windows on half volume! With the bose I have to place my ear right up to it just to make sure it’s on. Maybe bose should check out their market competitors, although it’s not much of a competition. Bose needs to do something and fast. I’ve invested a lot in this brand as a result of a first class sales pitch from a professionally conditioned music booth, not sure app fixes and firmware updates will stop me from considering a brand change - Jan 2018.Version: 17.170.81

Take too long to set upWhen I have to change router takes time to set up even though connected my speaker already to the network but cannot be found by the app needs lot of time to retry readjust and reconnect spent around 8 hours for configuration rename reset retry bit annoying.Version: 27.0.1

Awful Keeps losing connectionsSeems with each update? One needs to reconnect all devices. They need to fire their app designers and hire folks that are competent.Version: 27.0.1

Bose was supposed to be top notchConstantly having to close the app and reopen just to adjust the volume. And that needs to be done multiple times. Always getting errors. Bluetooth always having issues. So disappointed as I thought Bose products were top quality This is not the only Bose product that I have that is disappointing too. Their headphones folding connect properly also..Version: 27.0.1

Horrible app and speakerApp is horrible, it takes forever to even connect the speaker and when it does connect, it doesn’t play..Version: 27.0.1

Problème de connectivitéLorsque ça fonctionne, c’est super. Par contre, connection intermittente, la musique s’arrête de jouer régulièrement et revient 30 secondes plus tard ou Message que l’application ne trouve pas le SoundTouch 10 ou Message de problème Wi-Fi. J’ai recommencé la connection au WI-FI 3 jours consécutifs la semaine dernière et même résultat. Les mises à jour du speaker sont toutes faites… Bose, une nouvelle mise à jour svp? 🤔.Version: 27.0.1

Great system ruined by appalling appThe SoundTouch system is great, but the app totally ruins it. Poor connection, even when WiFi signal is really strong and bandwidth is good. It keeps dropping and although it doesn’t stop the music, you can no longer control it. Adding a music library (you can only add one) is a feat of engineering. Especially when your music library is stored on a NAS drive. And the search function in the music library doesn’t work at all on a NAS drive. Throws up an error when searching for a track, title, artist - anything. “Hmm.. that kind of searching is unsupported (1656)”. Customers have been complaining about this in droves for years, but nothing has been fixed. It shows where this app sits on their list of priorities. This truly has to be one of the worst apps in history! I expected much better from Bose..Version: 26.0.5

DisappointingThe upgrade forced on my Bose lifestyle system has left me and my family very disappointed and the kids quite sad. Streaming music is almost impossible. Lagging and buffering every 10 to 15 seconds is rediculous. Hours spent on the phone with 'help desk' shows that they really don't know very much about their own software. We would love to rollback this latest upgrade, but Bose don't seem to know how it could be done nor how to stop upgrades in the future. Bose you are very disappointing for the cost of the system😠😠😠.Version: 15.120.23

Love the Bose sound hate their tech /appLet me start by saying the Bose speakers are of high quality but that’s about all the positive feedback I can say about Bose. They are an antiquated sound company that has stopped innovating years ago and have been left far behind in innovating it’s software to work seamlessly with their own hardware. I wish I could say they are catching up and if you call Bose they will claim to have a “quality” software team. Unfortunately years of hoping and waiting for Bose to catch up with its competitors has left disappointed. They are not only not catching up but falling further and further behind the competition. This app is a great representation of malfunctioning and incompatibility. Rarely updated and when it is updated they are fixing bugs from 6 months to a year from when they are first reported. As for the app it rarely connects to the speaker even when streaming works and speaker is able to connect to the internet app always and I mean always gives an error stating speaker cannot be reached. Compliantly and utterly useless unless you reset wifi and spend 10 to 20 minutes every time to reset it..Version: 26.0.5

Worst app I’ve ever downloadedCan’t connect to an Apple device consistently. Drops off all the time. Embarrassing. Great speakers though..Version: 18.1.4

WonkyI love my pair of Bose speakers, but this app has a mind of its own. First, setting up the speakers is way more complicated than it should be. And it loses connection to the speakers occasionally, so you have to go through the setup process again. Then, when you try to control the volume for a group of speakers, it keeps moving up and down on its own. Google says to get the most recent version of the app to remedy this, but it hasn’t helped..Version: 27.0.1

Doesn’t support Apple MusicApple music is the biggest music provider in the world—and Bose haven’t been able to secure permission to play it. Useless app..Version: 25.0.4

App not greatI love Bose SoundTouch speakers but the app is woeful. Nearly every time I have 2 speakers linked I get this erratic volume and I mean really loud to very quiet in a second up and down constantly. Have messaged Bose but never get replies. Speakers always updated and app reinstalled more times than I remember. It never remembers the WiFi when I do this too so have to reset both speakers which in 2022 is archaic. Strange that mostly good reviews on here as when I look online there are many unhappy reviews on this app. After investing a fair amount on money on the speakers the least Bose could do is look into the problem and even contact me. I won’t hold my breath..Version: 27.0.1

Extremely unreliableI give this two stars only because it’s a good concept, but unless you enjoy your music turning off and on randomly and constantly having to power cycle the speakers and reset your WiFi, don’t bother with this system. Sadly if you’re reading this you’ve probably already bought the speakers. If you can still return them, do it. My husband thought for the longest time that my problems were user error but now he’s witnessed it too. Most commonly the speakers will just quit playing but sometimes they’re more creative. One speaker out of six might randomly switch to another station. A speaker may be playing but not know that it is, so you can’t adjust the volume. The most fun is when a speaker that was not playing decides to come on with whatever you were listening to last... invariably it’s Muse coming on in the nursery while the baby is napping. We’ve used this in three houses now so it’s not our internet that’s the problem. I’m about ready to toss the whole thing out the window..Version: 21.0.7

Great speakers, awful appThe app is the worst app I’ve ever encountered. After opening the app I wait a couple of minutes (yes, minutes- I’ve timed it) for the speakers to connect. I have three SoundTouch speakers connected together in the app. Frequently one speaker will go missing or won’t connect. They drop out constantly- I’m playing the XX now and in one song it’s already dropped out three times. Only for a couple of seconds but it makes it super frustrating when listening to music. I hate it..Version: 23.0.4

Great when it works, horrible otherwiseI have two soundtouch speakers to play in stereo, however here’s the catch. If I want them to play in stereo I have to do 15 mins of setup. Every. Single. Time. Every week there’s a new update for god knows what which will take anywhere from 5-15 mins, then I have to spent 10-15 extra mins trying to get the things to play together. The setup requires you to connect to the speaker, then connect the speaker to your WiFi and then connect your phone back to the WiFi which isn’t that hard to do seeing as it only takes 5 mins but then I have to do it again so it takes ten minutes in total. That, in addition to weekly updates means that the average setup time to play my music is 10-25 mins, 10 mins isn’t bad. But 25 is. And that’s not all, if I setup it will only work while I am using it. If I use it for more than an hour or so or stop using it and come back later, I will have to go through the setup again. WHY DO THEY HAVE TO CONNECT TO WIFI????????.Version: 23.0.4

Fake reviews? There is no way thia app could possibly get 4.7 stars when myself and 2 others have the same problems repeated across the Internet involving Bose’ lack of technological reliability. Problems with this app and Bose products not functioning properly when networked is thoroughly documented on the Internet, if you know even basic search techniques. Basically the app has to be installed and reinstalled each time you use the wireless networking option of these surround systems. I have 3 thestre setups that sound amazing, one on each floor. Try using it to play all three in a group with the Sirius radio function within the app. IF and ONLY IF you get it to work, let it play for about 1+ hours. Every single time I do that, this app will not reconnect, and back to walking all three floors to manually shut down. Frustrating if you paid thousands for Bose systems throughout the house and there is no answer. All theatres, all phones, all routes, everything updated. No change. I regret not investing the $6k into Sonos instead of thinking that Bose might have fixed this within the year I had the system.. They are lacking in the networking department and this app is blatant proof. Get new staff, save the company. Your future depends on it..Version: 18.1.4

So useless! The app is super glitchy. Most of the time it says it can’t find my speaker. But even if I can connect it to my home wifi, nothing will play through the app or using the presets on the remote or on the speaker itself. The only way I can play music is to connect via bluetooth. But if all I wanted was a Bluetooth speaker, I wouldn’t have paid for a Bose SoundTouch! Bose fancies itself a high end product. NOT!!.Version: 27.0.1

No longer workingThe Bose Soundtouch 300 is no longer working with my Samsung smart Tv. It worked fine for about a year, and now… no sound. But the soundbar is working with the app and I can liste to the radio with it….Version: 27.0.1

Bose has improved markedlyI bought my unit for myself for my birthday late 2016. It worked great for a while then it just went downhill. Never worked when I tried to use it. So I just stopped. Although I do believe it had 100% to do with my cable modem communication but no one wanted to admit it. Regardless, after this last move, it’s worked not just perfectly, but immediately upon turning it on. After this last update (iOS 11.2.2) and Bose update to both iPhone 7+ and iPad Pro) it’s without fail. And all night. Incoming messages don’t interrupt playing, incoming calls don’t interrupt playing, incoming anything doesn’t interrupt anything and it’s seamless. I sleep with it on all night and it’s perfect sound, which Bose is known for, gives me perfect rest. I’m so happy I didn’t sell it when I started to get frustrated and stuck with it. Thanks for making an amazing product, Bose!!.Version: 17.170.82

The Most Useless App of all Time! There I said it! Each time I turn the speaker off and then turn it on (either a minute or an hour or a day later, it does not matter), the app cannot find my speaker, so I have to setup the system again, and again, and again, and yet again! How come Bose came up with such a useless app? And this thing has been in the market for so long, people have been complaining about for that long, and Bose has not provided a single solution as yet! I have not experienced such an unresponsive technical/customer team! Like the app, these teams are in a perpetual silence mode; app does not deliver, the services don’t respond, nor solve the problem! I am sure they do not understand what the problem is, or they don’t care! I just listen music using Bose as loudspeakers! What a waste! If you buy Bose Soundtouch, don’t ever download the app, because it does not work, just use the bluetooth connection!.Version: 22.0.2

Please an updateWe need update immediately i have 3 bose and it doesn’t work anymore.Version: 27.0.1

Great speaker but app is rubbishI’ve had a Bose SoundTouch for a few years, it’s a fantastic speaker, but this app! It’s rubbish. Every time it updates I have to go and reset the whole thing, it will just randomly every few months stop playing and say it can’t find my speaker, so I have to reset again, and again, and again. Now it’s telling me my preset radio stations can’t be played! Grrrr - Wish I’d bought a Sonis.Version: 22.0.2

Goodbye Bose after 20+ yearsAs an incredibly brand loyal person, I have to say that this is one of the very few times that I have decided to switch. Over the last 20 years I have bought numerous Bose products to the point where it is running joke within my family. However, sadly, I have now bought my last Bose product. Having invested significantly in a number of SoundTouch products, I now find that I can no longer sync my iTunes/Apple Music library and have to rely on poor quality Bluetooth which keeps cutting out. This is simply not good enough and therefore it is time to move on to Sonos. I’m sad about my written off investment but even more sad about having to move on..Version: 23.0.4

Good but needs better cross compatibilityThe SoundTouch app works well and does what it says is going to but I can’t say I’m totally satisfied at being unable to combine and use speakers from the SoundTouch range (I have a sound bar 300 + SoundTouch 10) and the latest Bose releases. This make continuing my expansion through my home more difficult. I either have to sell off my SoundTouch (which was only purchased shortly before the new bars release) and by the same bar technologically minus Alexa built in (S700) and sell my S10 or continue buying SoundTouch units that will eventually not be supported anymore or be discontinued. Leaves me in a rock and a hard place. If all Bose speakers worked off the one app it would make life so much easier and I could hit 5 stars. Flexibility for the future and not making people’s investments in quality audio products redundant will ensure people always buy Bose over everything else. 1 app + all Bose speaker range = 5 stars.Version: 22.0.2

Frustrated and disappointedWhen I first bought my Sound Dock this app was ok. I could use from my iPad but frustratingly had to always have my PC on. Since an upgrade I have not been able to use from my iPad at all. It keeps telling me it can’t locate my iTunes Library eventhough the PC is on. This week I downloaded the app, on to my iPhone thinking that since I have iTunes on it and all my music I wouldn’t have to have my PC on to operate it from my phone. But NO. That would be too easy. Still cant locate my iTunes library. Basically it has been a complete waste of money even though the sound is great. Basically I have to Bluetooth my iPod to play any music from my iTunes Library. Really frustrating!.Version: 17.170.81

Connectivity IssuesI like Bose and have owned a number of their products over the years. The speakers sound great however the app and connectivity are where this product falls down. The latest version of the app is now utterly useless on my iPhone 7+ even though I have full wi-fi connectivity the app keeps disconnecting and saying there is no wi-fi connectivity, because of this I am unable to use the app to control the speakers. The only thing that I can use the speakers for now is the presets I originally programmed in and it does this badly, although not as badly as the Bluetooth connection. Both drop out, the Bluetooth is the worst and is mostly unusable as you are unlikely to be able to get through a song without it breaking up. Not impressed and wouldn’t recommend. I won’t be buying anymore of this system..Version: 15.120.23

Waiting for an interface overhaulI wonder how much user testing has gone into this app release - still seems like the user interface is illogical and broken. Big spaces of images or nothing useful, then the sliders, buttons and controls you need to use regularly are all bunched up. Any chance you could maybe calibrate the volume sliders at some stage? Trying to move between 1-3mm from the left side is not easy, and I wonder if anyone operates theirs past halfway? So laggy still, and most of us would like more than 6 favourites/presets available somewhere in the app (they don’t need to correlate to the 6 buttons, can be additional). Thanks, and I hope we see some improvements one of these years. Please also consider some accessibility principles (maybe an alternative to sliders could be a good starting point)..Version: 20.0.2

Can’t find my speakerThis app used to work great but after the update last year stopped working. Can’t connect to my sound bar my sound bar is connected to the internet and working good but the app can’t find it is very disappointing and after one year and they still didn’t fix the problem. If I can give zero stars I would do that..Version: 27.0.1

Very little support for products purchased five years agoI spent a lot of money on SoundTouch speakers. They don’t make them anymore now. I really don’t think that after 12+ years of being a Bose customer that I would buy another speaker from them again. That’s a lot of money to invest in a product but they don’t support very well. The app for the speakers is buggy always trying to search for the speaker when it was connected to minutes before. There has not been an update in over a year. It’s very disappointing and I just don’t feel another investment with this company would be a good one. When they work they sound great. I’ve called the company and they couldn’t give me any information about the app or whether or not they were going to update it, nothing. I just find that unacceptable for such a large investment. He did tell me I could buy a new speaker, that won’t happen. Do better Bose can I please before you lose customers.Version: 27.0.1

Refusal to add source switchingAfter years, literally years- at least 2, of complaints by customers to be able to switch sources via the app, Bose still won’t implement such a change. So for instance if you play something through AirPlay or Bluetooth, then switch to watch a movie, you can’t hear anything unless and only if you have their remote. If you lose the remote you are stuck with the AirPlay or Bluetooth source unless you buy their $50 remote. And while you can program a universal remote to control basic functions, source switching is not a function available for universal remotes. This appears to be a pattern by bose. After they announced they would add AirPlay 2 to the SoundTouch, they took 3 years, yes THREE years, to finally release an update for it. No concern for customers after they’ve spent hundreds or thousands of dollars on their products. I own a lot of Bose products but now when shopping for new audio equipment I literally scroll past anything Bose..Version: 25.0.4

Frustrating and not very usefulConnection with my radio is slow and unresponsive, although improved over earlier versions. Browsing music through my NAS library sometimes works, sometimes slowly, sometimes not at all. Completely random, as far as I can tell, and unrelated to my home network status. The library search function is a joke - as near as I can tell when searching capitalization has to be exactly as in the album, artist or track name, and can only search from the beginning of those fields (e.g. when searching for “Can’t Buy Me Love” you must search for Can’t Buy Me Love - the terms “love” or “Buy Me” for example will return NO RESULTS). Added functionality of being able to switch to Radio receiver and presets would be nice; why is this not present already? Intuitively it should be there. I cannot fathom how this app gets almost 5 stars as an average. I literally hate this app and only use it because I really have no choice if I want to be able to use all the smart functions of the radio. Fix it..Version: 20.0.3

Sound touchI have the same problem the app tells me it can’t find my soundbar 300 and I’m using the speaker already. The app is useless right now….it worked before when I got the speaker 5 years ago 😡.Version: 27.0.1

Hard to scroll in a big libraryHard to scroll down a big library on your computer: lots of loading period everytime you reach the bottom of the screen. You could use shot cuts to each letter, like in itunes. Or navigating with album covers (10 x 6 album on the screen, not a single column) instead of a single column of titles... so long to reach the 500th album starting with a « z »!.Version: 27.0.1

App is sub-par to productI have gotten so frustrated with this app and its connectivity issues that I was inclined to write a review hoping that someone at Bose actually sees and acts on its issues. Been a fan of Bose for many years and have several Bose products in the household because of their exceptional sound quality; however, the app is a constant failure - with the several timely firmware updates required often, you would think the issues would have been resolved, but nope, it seems like it’s something different each time. Connectivity is confusing and very temperamental, I can never know if I need to use wifi, bluetooth, airplay or aux (however I’m supposed to do that in wireless times) to connect and when it actually does connect, it’ll stop streaming mid-song where I need to restart the confusing connection process all over again - most times I don’t even bother and move on because it’s not worth the time..Version: 25.0.4

App Constantly struggles to find the 2.0 speakerAnd judging by the survey questions the app takes you over, I’m not alone :( Basically it’s great if the app can find the speaker, but even then 20 minutes later it’s disconnected and again can’t find the speaker, meaning you need to go get the infrared remote and use that instead of iPhone / ipad and app. Want the change the volume on the app? Sorry can’t find speaker even though it was connected a few minutes ago. Want to turn the speaker on or off, sorry can’t find the app..Version: 18.1.4

Bose should be ashamed of this!I have 5 SoundTouch systems around the house and the sound is, and always has been superb but this app is disgraceful! It’s just so unreliable and seemingly temperamental. It rarely connects to all speakers at once, won’t pair my two SoundTouch 10s, and refuses to connect to my SoundTouch 30 even though it’s playing the radio through the same WiFi connection? I’ve contacted Bose support several times about this and any fix is temporary. I was even told to register the app under a separate email address? Another temporary and unsatisfactory fix. This app is a complete let-down and completely ruins the user experience of what would otherwise be a fantastic system. It’s really about time this giant US corporation sorted this out. COME ON!!!.Version: 26.0.5

Speaker is WiFi connected but the app can’t see it??Love the quality of the sound of this speaker, however the APP is useless! Having gone through the setup procedure to add my speaker to the network, which it successfully does every time, the APP can still never find it, thus making it useless! “Try reconnecting your speaker” it says, which I’ve done now about half a dozen times.. still no joy!! The speaker is playing my selected radio stations through my WiFi network, no problem but the app can never find the speaker to control its settings as it’s designed to do? For a company that prides itself on “excellence” I think it needs to hire some professionals to sort its app problems out!.Version: 18.1.4

As others have said. App BARELY worksPay 1000.00 for a speaker. Get a crappy app for free. Speaker goes offline, WPS, network setup is a ballet of idiotic levels. Instead of direct settings, you must go out, come back, greyed out continue, then simply go out, get your magic decoder ring, enter the random digits, reset your network passwords, pray for rain then go back in. It’s not shocking I’m seeing more negative Bose reviews. Do better..Version: 27.0.1

Love the speaker, hate the appThe SoundTouch app is just awful. The search music library function is fiddly & you can’t search music by genre & have to use a drop down menu to tell the app if you’re searching for a track, artist or album, it won’t recognise a search parameter otherwise. The worst part though is 50% of the time the app tells you it can’t find a speaker on your network, even when you’ve got the speaker already playing & you selected music to play on it 10 minutes previously. You then have to switch the speaker off at the plug to reconnect, a solution that is not even offered as advice on the help screen that appears when it can’t find a speaker. The app could be brilliant, but presently it’s lazy & very disappointing. Sort out these problems & even better, add Siri support & you could have a great app. Bose speakers aren’t cheap, the least you can expect is a decent app & better customer support for these issues that have been ongoing for years now. Update 1/9/18 wow, it’s got worse! Now it says there’s no Wi-fi connection even though my phone shows full strength Wi-fi. It briefly connects & then when you select a new page it loses connection again - I’m finding it currently unusable, I’ve spent the last 10 minutes trying to get an iTunes playlist to play - still no luck. Sort it out Bose!!!.Version: 18.1.4

IntrusiveI want to change a saved station. Can’t. App won’t let me do anything until I update the speaker (again), which will take 20 minutes. I shouldn’t have the updates forced upon me. How about update later when I’m not using the device?!.Version: 26.0.1

Does not work well at allVery disappointed with the way this works, I should say not-work most of the time. First issue is that all the time the app needs an update and all the speakers need an update. This takes 20 minutes for each speaker, so should you decide to turn your music on for a dinner party, it will be cold by the time you are done doing this update procedure. I think I own 5 of these nose speakers for about 2 years now and I have updated them more than 30 times. This is really annoying because this seems to be my total user experience. The updates are not optional. You have to update before anything plays. Very often I just give up now because it just seems like Bose can never get their app to be sufficient quality that an update becomes “optional” Well, then when it is finally updated, sometimes it works , sometimes it does not. Depends on what settings got lost during the update (I have had to regroup the speaker groups a dozen times ). Depends on whatever else . Time of the day, weather? They are on a wired network so it has no Wi-Fi excuses. Speakers drop out regularly and it is not clear at all how to get back on to play It just seems this is designed to be single speaker Bluetooth setup. The “whole house audio “ concept is completely a pain in the neck. Unfortunately I invested in all these Bose speaker to just do that :(.Version: 23.0.2

Volume adjusting on its own and group settingAt the basic level, I have two speakers setup and the volume controls are malfunctioning. Goes up and down on its own. I just paired the devices. Second, I wish it could make its own custom groups and not just left/right pairs (which can't be individually controlled after pairing)..Version: 27.0.1

5 Stars???Who in their right mind is rating this app highly? I’ve never known an app or associated equipment to require so many frequent (and more often than not, pointless) updates. I’ve simply accessed the app to switch from the radio to connect my phone via Bluetooth and I’ve been given a choice to either not use the app or carry out a 20 minute software update. On top of that, there’s still no ‘play all’ option to programme to one of the buttons on the speaker so the only way of playing the same music through multiple speakers is to select the function through the app - again, impossible to do when I’m being forced in to the most recent software update. I’m just hoping that when I can eventually get back on the app and control my speakers, there’s an option that I’ve missed to select automatic software updates during a time when I know I won’t be using the speaker. The whole setup is a failure..Version: 22.0.2

Won’t connectI’m a networking engineer and have been battling this app for years. Go online and so has just about everyone else. Note that there are somehow 5 star reviews in here for people who clearly can’t get the app to work and the text in those reviews suggests a much lower rating. Weird. Anyway, I’ve tried multiple iOS devices over the years, repeatedly reset (to factory at times) the speakers and even the router (should NEVER have to even be tempted to do that), shut off my 5G network ... on and on. This Christmas we could only have music over Bluetooth in one room ... hardly the point of having a wireless system. I’m getting rid of all this stuff and moving to Sonos. My friends never have connectivity issues and if you go through the internet, you’ll find *everyone* has these problems with Bose. This is going to cost me a fortune, but I am done. Bose doesn’t even seem to care..Version: 26.0.5

Not worthy of BoseI love my Bose radio, but this app is absolute crap. When I stream an Internet radio station through it, the signal drops every 3-4 months for pockets of about 20 seconds at a time, while the label on the radio says "loading." The problem is not my Internet connection; I know that, because for years I have streamed the same station on my laptop, and I never had to deal with interruptions. Also... when I use the notebook version of the app, it often says, for no obvious reason, that my iTunes library isn't available, and the only solution is to shut down the app, shut down iTunes, and restart both. (And even then, sometimes the situation isn't resolved until I install whatever SoundTouch update just became available -- it seems every day there is a new one, as constant nagging messages remind me). Lastly, the app does not let you stream podcasts, which is a sad limitation for this type of app. If you want to listen to a podcast, you have to download it on your notebook or PC (not your phone..), add it to an iTunes playlist, and stream it from your iTunes library (which by the way, won't refresh while the app is running). My 19-year-old nephew could have designed a better app..Version: 15.120.23
