Bose SoundTouch for Positive User Reviews

Awesome possum!Decides to go for the gold and bought the Bose SoundTouch 300 Tv sound bar and matching Bluetooth base. We got a free SoundTouch 10 with the purchase. Didn’t really know what I was getting when I bought it. When I realized that the devices themselves attached to the WiFi and played from your favorite music service I was blown away. It’s nice when the money you spend actually pays off. Hats off to Bose. It’s great that you can play same music on any and all the speakers at the same time. I haven’t noticed any timing issues. Great for the whole house. The app work almost flawlessly. Never had any connection problems. Only thing I wish it had was support for pandora premium. BOSE, IF YOUR LISTENING, PLEASE ADD SUPPORT FOR PANDORA PREMIUM!! It would be nice to search for music and play it, not just the stations. Also if it could have a “my music” tab would be great. All in all great products and software. Bought a SoundTouch 30 for work and am going to get some additional 10s and maybe a 20 for the new house..Version: 18.1.4

SoundTouchAwesome product.. only one issue I have noticed. If you have a network that reboots everyday, the SoundTouch app on iOS has difficulty finding SoundTouch device. Rebooting device or network seems to temporarily resolve the issue and the app finds it again..Version: 27.0.1

AmazingFantastic app. Thanks heaps.Version: 22.0.2

Bose soundwave and AppRecently purchased and very happy with this Bose unit. Easy setup to my wifi, can link with Bluetooth and play anything, CD is great. Ease of us, good looking and great sound is perfect for my living room. The speakers project a full sound at low levels and no distortion when I occasionally increase the volume. I’ve had a Marantz system before which was great, however moving into a unit I wanted a change to simple and compact, this Bose is great, I’m currently sitting at the end of the room about 9 metre away writing this and the speakers are clear and full sound, very happy..Version: 21.0.7

It's good but still missing iTunes appLike I said in the title, It's good but still missing iTunes app. I personally use Deezer but my son uses the iTunes equivalent and it's frustrating him like hell that his dear OLD dad is getting something he can't. I like the way I can connect all my speakers at once or just pick one out for my fix of daily heavy Rock🤘🏼. I also like how I can control the volume of each speaker but it would be nice to be able to set your own music sound settings instead of the pre selected ones like R&B, Metal etc. Anyway, it's well worth downloading 🤛🏻.Version: 15.120.23

Overall great but having issues with volume controlI’m running two devices off the app and generally very happy with it. Only issue I have is when I play both and adjust the volume the app continues to repeat the command so volume keeps going up or down depending on which I have selected..Version: 18.1.4

Sound-Touch reviewI had enjoyed SoundTouch for years listening to a large library of classical recordings stored on my NAS drive. Some months ago when I was obliged to purchase a new NAS drive (WD MyCloud Ultra) I was unable to access the library of files which I had transferred to the new drive, even with the very best efforts of a number of Bose Tech support agents who patiently tried to make connection between the SoundTouch on my home theater system and the WD NAS drive. I gave up, and made another software program, KODI, make the connection. It worked, but was a miserable second best. Imagine my elation, then, when five days ago, I just pressed SoundTouch on my Bose remote by accident, and I found it was able to access my new NAS drive! I am so grateful to have SoundTouch working again, and am most curious to learn whether Bose or Western Digital is responsible for this happy turn of events. Nicholas Renouf.Version: 27.0.1

Almost perfect......If only random meant that the selection was truly random I'd give it 5 stars, but while the selection of tunes is random, it's the same random every time! Otherwise, it's vey good..Version: 15.120.23

Almost great.Just got a Bose SoundTouch 30 and setting this up with the app (which did its job nicely on that) The app overall has a clean interface and is easy to use although I have two small complaints that hopefully will be addressed. #1 When playing a song through an Internet Station I wish the name of the song would show up on the app, it will on the staions app, but i I'm goingto use my new device it would be nice to not have to go someplace top get the name & artist if I hear something new I like. #2 When listening to a song on my music library through the Bose App I cannot jump to parts of a song or skip around, this can be done using the Apple Music App, but I feel that is something I should be able to do through the Bose App. If these small things can be fixed, it's a 5 Star App..Version: 15.120.23

Doesn’t work following IOS14 upgradeSadly something is not right with this update as it doesn’t work if you have updated your IOS device to IOS14 - the app fails to open and you get a white screen with a spinning wheel. Have had to restore my iPad back to before I completed this update to get it working again, therefore I won’t be downloading this update until I know Bose have fixed the problem. Never had any problems previous to this so sure it’s just a blip that needs urgent attention..Version: 26.0.1

Not perfect but almost perfectLike everything in this world; nothing is perfect! But hey its almost perfect in everyway... I recently bought a wave soundtouch IV. I love it and im always in a rush to go home and excited to be in my room playing peacefull tunes especially going to bed listening to the sound of instrumental soft guitar and piano- name and quality you can always count on!.Version: 15.120.23

Disappointed Rarely connects when it shouldWhy I paid good money for this speaker. Every penny was well spent for all of my Bose speakers..Version: 27.0.1

Great appI've only just started using it bit from the little time it's been great. Loving the world of internet Radio and kids are up and dancing which is better than playing on iPads. The sound touch 300 + sub is just amazing. The sound that comes out is like been at a cinema. We can feel the bass coming through the floor. Nice one Bose.Version: 15.120.23

The best!👍👍👍👍.Version: 15.120.23

Lost iheartWaste of space now iHeart has been removed.Version: 20.0.3

Improve app settingsSounds very good! I've been a fan of Bose for 22yrs. Had the old Bose wave, old 5.1 systems "10" and "15", and in car systems, etc. I now have the 300 sound bar, sub, and surround speakers. It would be nice if the app could control the subwoofer volume. The app controls the volume of the center and surround speakers why not have the app control the subwoofer also. I find the app has the capability to control features that the remote cannot and the remote controls features the app cannot. This makes it difficult to make tv, aux, and Bluetooth changes. Please incorporate all functions of the system on one or the other. Fumbling between the app and remote is very inconvenient and confusing at times when on the fly. 4 stars because of app/remote functionality. Definitely 5 star sound..Version: 15.120.23

My morning relaxing treat, plusOr else I get grumpy. Mood essential booster. Study mate. Office work background. Concentration guard.Version: 27.0.1

Great app!I find that with so many music stations to choose from all over the world, I don’t have a need for a paid music service. I like the simple presets on the Bose player but because there are only 6 of them, I would like to see My Favourites folder in the app, where you could store more of favourite music stations or podcasts, let’s say 20. Have I mentioned the podcasts... oh yes, you can play podcasts directly through the app..Version: 15.120.23

Very Nice AppApp works well, easy to use and well polished, just has a few small glitches sometimes can’t find the speakers or connect for a long time needing to be rest but apart from that very happy..Version: 20.0.3

Everything you needSound is outstanding! I'm all in with 6 speakers: mini, 20's, a 30, sound bar, and Soundtouch Wave..to play CDs...the soundbar 300 with sub woofer is best for television and music a like. The 5 presets on the Bose speakers are very convenient as you don't need a device to start/stop your speakers, when synced the primary speaker acts as the master...can shut all off with..one touch. Just make sure you have a Wifi router with some power, I had upgraded the internet speed (as I was building out my system) with a provided TWC combo modem/router which created issues with the system...delay in syncing the speakers, can not find speakers, no internet connection. At first thought it was the Bose app...it's not. Traded out for a dedicated modem and purchased a Nighthawk 600 wifi Router, back to 100%..Version: 15.120.23

Pretty solidEvery now and again it has glitches which get fixed pretty quick. Overall an easy system..Version: 15.120.23

Top of the lineNothing beats The Bose!.Version: 27.0.1

SoundTouch30Hats off to BOSE Corporation for all their products. But I must say that after having done much research of all of the other brands out there in the marketplace, my SoundTouch30 has an absolutely awesome sound! The BASS and Front-Left and Front-Right Speaker deliver Clear-as Sound! The clarity of a Piano, Vocals, Drums, Clarinet, Sax, Tuba, Bassoon, Trombone, Trumpet, Bass Guitar, Electric Guitar, Semi-Acoustic Guitars etc, all have a natural sound, when played through this SoundTouch30! And there is no resonance felt when played at Low or Higher volumes! I like the Metal chassis, and the total isolation of no unwanted vibrations, unlike its competition. The Bass is pure-sounding, even though there is only one type of setting for its tone is either Less-Bass, or more-Bass! This device typifies BOSE’ commitment to sound excellence. Great work at Team BOSE Corp. Another successful product this is sure to please even the fussiest Audiophile. Albeit me, and a whole lot of my friends too! Richard Ashley Cromer NSW.Version: 20.0.3

Good Sound but limited featuresThe sound quality of the Sound touch 30 is good, not excellent There is no equalizer in the app and no timer / alarm etc This model is a good 4 years old but surely an AP upgrade is not so hard to do This is about the big brands getting complacent with customer satisfaction whilst the new competition chips away in the market share ( Sonos).Version: 20.0.3

Big learning curveI am a Bose fan. I think Bose is the best. We have music in every room in our house. We even have a speaker in our master closet. This system does not work with a mesh network. We accept this and have improvised. We have Google Fiber 1 gig. This many speakers (16) need an excellent signal. We have a dedicated router (non mesh) for the Bose system as well. The speakers also need a fast signal. We have the router separating 2.4ghz and 5ghz. We only use the 5ghz. A 5ghz signal, while much faster than 2.4 ghz, doesn’t travel as far as 2.4ghz. The system in our house needs the speed of 5ghz. While there is some fade at 1 outlying speaker, I love this system. It can be quirky. We’ve had this system for several years now. It has been frustrating (extremely) at times. I just had to accept that it WILL NOT WORK with our Orbi Network. It confuses the speaker system. I’ve had to work with this and have improvised as stated earlier. If you are willing to work with this system’s limitations, it can be wonderful. It’s taken me years to figure it out. I’m still learning and Bose continues to work on issues with the app. Bose customer service is excellent. Even when I’ve called in a bit grumpy, they really do care and want their customers to be happy with their products. They will do their best to find a solution. I hope this review is helpful to others. It comes from lots of experience. Have a nice day and stay well..Version: 23.0.4

Sometimes frustratingProblem solved? My router puts out two networks, a regular one and a -5G. My phone will connect to one of the two when I arrive back home, but apparently the SoundTouch 20 is only connected to the regular one. The app will work for a up to ten seconds on the -5G network then it says “no WiFi connection”. I can force quit the app and relaunch. It’ll work again for a few seconds and error again, occasionally it will automatically reconnect but again for just a few seconds. Made me think the app was buggy. It seems I have to manually ensure I’m on the regular network for it to work properly. Don’t want to have to tell my phone to forget the -5G network, but it’d be a viable solution. Maybe this tip will help someone else frustrated by this..Version: 27.0.1

Took a whileI brought a Soundtouch 20 and a Soundtouch 10 last year. It took me ages to get connected to the internet and to get my 2 speakers to play in sync but it all came right and I would now not be without them! The sound is crystal clear and it almost looks like the speakers are too small to put out such quality sound. I like how they connect to wifi, a much better sound I feel than the bluetooth option, but none the less a great option for when he kids are home!!!!!.Version: 15.120.23

Great support from BOSE support personWe purchased a unit but couldn’t get connected to wi-fi, couldn’t get Bluetooth connection neither the network indicator light was coming. We got really frustrated and upset with the SoundTouch lv unit. We called BOSE support they asked to replace it we got another unit. This time the indicator light was coming but still no luck with wi-fi, Bluetooth. We again contacted BOSE support and the male support person remotely accessed our wi-fi and changed some settings and that fixed all issues & we are now proud owners of the system..Version: 23.0.4

Oh so close...This app contains all of the controls that you need to run a decent home studio. However, it is difficult to give feedback to Bose because the feedback interface on the app needs a redesign... the keyboard displays over the screen entry interface on Apple iPhone 7, at least it does for this particular user..Version: 22.0.2

Great app😀 easy to use.Version: 15.120.23

Fantastic quality, sad WiFi drop outI’ve had my dock now for almost 2 years and I love it. My dad has also bought one as the unit has such a good sound, and is so easy to use. My only complaint is that it looses WiFi too often. It sometimes just stops working and I have to reboot either the dock or the WiFi. After a recent software upgrade the dock didn’t work for over a week as I was away and my daughter didn’t know how to download the app and reset it. Dad also had problems. If these glitches could be fixed then this would be the best thing in the world..Version: 20.0.3

Can’t Find >$1000 Worth Of Bose Speakers In Mesh Router SystemWithout a doubt this is the most frustrating app on my iPhone! We have a top-of-the-line mesh router system that works perfectly with everything except this app. Sometimes the app can find our several Bose speakers, but, >90% of the time it can’t! Is it the router system? No! Because my PC is hard-wired to the router and the Bose app on it ALWAYS finds the speakers. I called Bose support some months ago and the surly guy on the support line demanded we do a remote session, he logged in to the router, and then refused to describe what he was doing. What he did worked until the next time I tried to use the app on my iPhone. Love my Bose speakers - HATE this iPhone app!.Version: 23.0.4

Great speaker for the sizeI have had a SoundTouch 20 for a couple of years. Recently added a SoundTouch 10 to the network and the adapter for the main stereo. Easy to set-up. Great sound. For me the SoundTouch 10 is moved around as needed, I move it when I'm cooking at the BBQ, out on the deck, working in the garage etc. Would be great if it had a built in battery to make it fully portable (within the wifi range). The remote has 6 presets which is fine but I wish the app had room for many more favourite stations rather than having to search again. Even a "recent stations" with a history of 20 or so would suffice. Maybe in the next update???.Version: 15.120.23

Awesome AppI have recently purchased 3 sound touch devices, the app is so easy to use and set up. I have had a couple of minor issues with volume having a mind of its own, however I'm super impressed with the user experience and it deserves 5 stars..Version: 15.120.23

Solved all of our problems!!Our problem were: trying to figure out a way to stream music in multiple rooms and have surround sound for the TV. We purchased a Bose Wave SoundTouch and a Bose SoundTouch 300. This got us exactly what we wanted and they communicate over our wireless network so setup was really easy and fast. Bose does not do a good job of making it clear that these two products can work together. It is clearly stated that the Bose Wave SoundTouch works in conjunction with the Bose SoundTouch 10, 20, and 30, but not clear about the SoundTouch 300 sound bar, bass and rear speakers. Even the very unhelpful store employees told us that these products would not work together. I did some research online while in the store and came to the conclusion that the employees were wrong. We took the chance and bought both and am glad we did. They work perfectly together. We can play music in one room, watch TV in the other, stream the same music in both rooms, or different music in both rooms. The system is very flexible like that. The app is easy to use and works great. Sound quality is what you would expect from a product bearing the Bose name. Very happy with the purchases..Version: 15.120.23

Love my BOSE!!I’ve had the privilege of owning many Bose products and the quality is beyond measure. I could write a full length review but I’ll keep it short. I own the Bose SoundTouch and pairing it with the app makes it a breeze to use. I can save my favorite stations or playlists from SiriusXM, Pandora & Tidal! If you’ve never owned a Bose, you’re missing out! The sound, oh em gee, the sound is crisp and clear highlighting every note & instrument. When you purchase a Bose you can rest assured that you’ve made an investment in a product that holds its value with the best sound that never diminishes. Now with the SoundTouch app, it’s easy to pair all of your Bose devices creating a home theater system like no other. I highly recommend Bose products! Bose does NOT disappoint!!!.Version: 26.0.5

I'm a Bose Fanatic !My home is full of Bose products. From the series 1 901,s stored in the garage to the five speaker Home Theater System. Re: Sound Touch. I have every model in my home and feel that I could make a few user comment. Model 10. I have a pair in my bedroom. I Listen to them every night and morning. I decided recently that I wanted to play my flat screen tv through them. Checking the owners manual I could find information on this setup. Called the tech line and was told that to do so I would have to separate right and left and use the aux inputs. Turns out that the 10's don't have a stereo function when in aux mode. Operating the 10's as two separate speakers the remote tries to operate both. I gave up. Mayhaps if I add Bluetooth to my my tv I could do it. 20's, 30's and Wave Clock Radio. Use them almost every day. Main System: I have it connected to my Bose home theatre system. The theater system has been tuned to the room using The provided computer balance system. Room sounds great! Here's the rub, the Sound Touch Main system favors the right channel and the home theater and the main unit offer no right / left balance. System: all of my units occasionally drop out for a few seconds. The interesting thing is that not all the systems fail at the same time. I feel I have good internet service but the dropouts are annoying. I will continue to favor Bose products.......Nothing better..Version: 15.120.23

Couple of thingsWould be good if there was an equaliser setting to adjust base ect... and if the radio stations could show the name of the songs streaming as I can’t Shazam while playing through my phone... Otherwise pretty cool.Version: 15.120.23

Sometimes can’t find speakersOccasionally app doesn’t find speakers nd I haven’t worked out how to fix it yet.Version: 23.0.4

Very pleasantly surprisedI’ve had a wired Bose Lifestyle 8 for many years and researched going wireless and using a soundbar. I looked at Sonos, Samsung and others. Samsung claimed that you do not need a sub woofer with their system so I asked a salesman to demo both. The Bose 300 soundbar sounded as good, if not better than Samsung and was of good build quality. We tried the Bose with and without separate subwoofer and, unless you want to quake the floor with very low frequency rumbles the bass on the soundbar is excellent. As the salesman said, most people do not know that the bass is controllable from the remote. We purchased the Bose with the optimal rear speakers which are brilliant. Setup was easy however I did ring Bose when I couldn’t pair the soundbar remote with my TV, they provided excellent support and suggested I look at the lights on the remote and not the soundbar. This was not clear in the instruction book..Version: 18.1.4

FantasticI can play any type of music of my choice or listen to my daily choice. Makes for a happy household..Version: 18.1.4

Hardware superb, app dreadfulThe Bose SoundTouch hardware is superb. It all looks and sounds beautiful, but the SoundTouch app is appalling. Most of the time it cannot find any of my speakers on the network despite the fact that two out of three speakers are happily playing TuneIn radio stations over WiFi having been started via their remote controls. The third device, a WiFi link adapter connected to an older Bose Wave system rarely receives TuneIn stations as it can only be started via the app. I see from the reviews and Bose support forum that this problem is extensive, is reported very regularly (over many years) but still remains unresolved. This is very disappointing. Bose are expensive, premium products let down by non-existent support for the software side of the system. This is so frustrating that, like many others, I am investigating alternative systems such as Sonos. Poor show Bose..Version: 20.0.3

Getting better all the timeImproving app. Have been using for 2 years now and features and debugging have made great progress.Version: 23.0.2

Bose Sound TouchThe audio engineers and technology at Bose are without equal. The best audio available worldwide is Bose there is just no doubt. This is based on my experience with Pro and consumer applications. If I find a club equipped with a Bose PA I know the sound will be controlled, clear and faithful. My home system, 100% wireless connected in every room is phased perfectly with excellent stereo imaging, equalised perfectly to the human pre emphasis logarithmic response. Just awesome from low to high power levels with just about any sound source I can throw at it. Sonos inspired the market for home automation functionality and controls, but Bose continue to engineer and catch up without any compromise to audio fidelity which always comes first. Bose take ages to add functionality but it is always worth the wait. Any negative review here should be treated with caution. I am not a shareholder just a sound enthusiast..Version: 17.170.81

Perfect as always.Just works perfectly like everything Bose. Get one you won't regret it..Version: 15.120.23

Soundtouch 300So easy to hook up and play! I also have the sub and surround speakers which give an amazing full audio experience - the deep base is like hearing real thunder!.Version: 27.0.1

Sound barGreat system, would be better if it automatically switches between sources. Fantastic sound..Version: 14.80.6

KookaI know I live in the country and therefore have second class services but this is driving me nuts. I have to reload almost every time I turn it on. My wifi can never find the Bose channel to join. I keep going around in circles. Most annoying. Can anyone help?.Version: 21.0.7

Easy to set up...now I can chill.Having had an old Bose docking station I upgraded to the Sound Touch 20. Initial set up was easy when you follow the instructions (did the bloke thing...who needs a manual??). The bass is quite prominent however once you set it at the level comfortable for your ears, well, the music sound quality is just fantastic. This little app is on my phone, Mac and pad so. All my music can now be played at the touch of a button. I thoroughly enjoy the Internet radio without having to download other apps. Time to chill..Version: 15.120.23

Please review the software and not the hardwareWe all know that we are completely satisfied with the hardware of the Bose systems and laud the benefit of music throughout the home or indeed the benefit of your new SoundTouch 300 so reviewing hardware is of no benefit to anyone here in what should be a review of the SoundTouch app. I am not new to criticism of the app in recent upgraded versions and the use of the nondescript “Pavlov inspired” graphic interface that unfortunately reflects the ideas of the current design team. There should have been some consideration of the integration of the positive aspects of earlier versions where the interface was more meaningfully interactivity and of where I still review screen shots of these earlier versions with sheer disappointment. Bose SoundTouch hardware should be reviewed elsewhere not in this site. Please let us have some response or maybe constructive criticism of the SoundTouch app because without such we, as dedicated Bose users will remain in the same state as Pavlov’s dogs when it comes to the control of SoundTouch..Version: 18.1.4

Sound touch 30 updateI would be delighted to write a positive review for Bose's latest update to their discontinued product, the SoundTouch 30. As a long-time user of Bose products, I can confidently say that this update is a true testament to the company's dedication to delivering top-notch audio experiences. As for the stereo support for multiple speakers, it's great to know that users of this product are still hopeful that this will one day be achievable. With Bose's track record of innovation and customer-focused approach, I have no doubt that they will continue to push the boundaries of what's possible in the world of audio..Version: 27.0.1

All improvedFunctionality constantly improving and now it is usable gadget which I enjoy to using it. Glad to see that volume control is a smoother now starting from 0. Before that improvement It was a bit pain that I couldn't set volume accurately in the middle of the night using volume control buttons on my phone. I recommend to increase radio favourites number from 6 to 10 (minimum) as it is usual minimum on every basic radio player with keyboard. Or If I could use my favourite list from TuneIn radio then it would be same good..Version: 18.1.4

SoundTouch with Lifestyle 650Great integration - as the flagship product would love to see a future firmware configuration option which allowed you to configure whether playing music back via SoundTouch switches on the TV or not. If I want to listen to music - I don't really want / need the TV to switch on. Update: I recently got an Apple Watch Series 3 and the performance on the app is terrible - volume adjustment which I guess would be the most common use is measured in seconds - not real time at all. I guess this is due to having to relay commands via a tethered phone but it’s really really bad. Also no option of switching your Lifestyle console off via the watch app. You can switch it on by selecting a preset but no option of turning it off like you can through the mobile app. Hopefully these are things which can be improved with future app updates..Version: 15.120.23

Like being in the concert hall.Yes that's how it feels and sounds. I've owned several good hiding systems since the nineteen seventies and was dubious at first about just using the one unit but as soon as I heard the quality and how it filled the room with real clarity and good separation. I like all sorts of good music from Blues, Rock, and some Jazz but now mostly Classical especially piano and good old Beethoven. The Bose handles all superbly and is probably the best purchase I've made in years. Thank you Bose for the great sound and the fabulous app to control it all wirelessly from all my devices..Version: 15.120.23

Sound touch 30What a wicked awesome speaker Extremely loud at full volume with no distortion you just can’t beat Bose 👍.Version: 18.1.4

SonQuand jnouvre l appareil le son monte au bout ce qui fais un vacarme infernal à part ça tout es ok.Version: 27.0.1

Extremely GoodVery happy with the SoundTouch 10. Well presented, good looking and more importantly excellent smooth sound quality with plenty of of audio level, not complaining if driven hard. Nice smooth bass and clean mid-range. Room filling sound in a largish lounge area. Had set up problems with the WiFi not making itself apparent initially, which was a disappointment, and I am not a slouch when it comes to computers. Once resolved all very well and listening enjoyment is back again. I had forgotten what I was missing. Great item..Version: 22.0.2

Terrible InterfaceWhat an ugly interface this app has got. It looks straight from 1980's. I wouldn't say it's useful but they could have made it looking nice too.Version: 14.0.14

Does it's job......but I'm not totally in love... there seem to be gaps, and it's not totally intuitive. Gives a new dimension to a sound system though. I do love the internet radio option - though I'm surprised at the lack of genres offered..Version: 15.120.23

Now working wellSoundtouch is an excellent system, when it works. Sound quality is terrific and having device pre sets that include the ability to attach eg Ice Cast streams is a plus. Soundtouch uses vTuner as its service to choose radio stations. Such is the confusion of the radio industry vTuner does not have access to all radio stations. It is a bit frustrating that e.g. I Heart radio stations cannot be accessed. Periodically Boise updates the Soundtouch firmware and App software. Their ability to improve both is patchy and new releases generally follow reasonably quickly. Boise could test their updates more thoroughly. The Soundtouch offers 6 hardware presets. Having a button on the device is a welcome feature. I would like to see the hardware presets extended by software e.g. having an additional 12 presets available in the App. The Boise Soundtouch is a solid purchase and a better option than a good number of similar perhaps more well known options..Version: 17.170.82

Much Better - Bugs Fixed? Some time ago, a SoundTouch update rendered our system unusable. We had our music stored on an old SeagateMedia NAS and we use Google Mesh Routers in our house. For some reason, SoundTouch could not access our NAS and we were advised to replace it. So I bought a Western Digital NAS at Bose Support’s recommendation. After installation and copying our music files to the new device, SoundTouch couldn’t access it either. Repeated tries were useless. I pretty much gave up and started exploring other, non Bose options. Then one day we got a SoundTouch update and like magic, we can play music from all of our devices, accessing libraries from either NAS. It was a painful experience but we are now happy with our system..Version: 25.0.4

Nice update. Still needs some work.Just updated the app. It can now send AUX to any speaker. Don't know what the big deal was. Something having to do with licensing? But no license for Bluetooth rebroadcast? The ability to rebroadcast needs more work. I love this ability...if only it were better. I have 3 SoundTouch speakers. The only one that video syncs is the one physically connected to the video source (TV AUX out). But when I try to bring up the second then 3rd speaker, it rebroadcasts, but it drops. And when the drops stop, the audio is distractinglily delayed. It does say it's a beta version so hopefully Bose reads these. I went from a Logitech squeeze box network, to sound touch and I love it. Richer sound and It's more stable. Only one wish: can you do something about the preset memory buttons? There are only six. Why not allow the ability to save individually? Meaning I have 3 radios. Each have six presets. For those of use with more than one unit, why not allow me to combine them, that gives me presets for 18 stations! Logitech allows you to do that. But not Bose? If it's an issue for some, why not make it a selective option for the user?.Version: 15.120.23

Bose SoundTouch appI can't rate these speakers enough, we purchased two of them for sound around our house, they not only look good but sound fantastic. The biggest problem Bose have is the software that you can use to control them, it crashes now and again, then stops working completely whenever there is an update, having to wait days sometimes weeks for or to fore up again correctly. You really need to sort out your software problems Bose, it’s putting me off purchasing more speakers..Version: 26.0.0

Best Purchase!!I’ve had this in my house for about 3 years now and I still love this system. I get compliments from my guest all the time on how cool it is. I have a speakers all throughout my home which is the equivalent of a different zone for those that paid the hefty price for hardwired home surround sonos system they can be somewhat limited with this. There does seem to be quite a few updates required throughout the year but it’s a quick and painless process to update the speakers through the app that I didn’t think that deserved to mock a star off. Maybe if the updates could include an extra feature next time it would make it more exciting. How about an intercom addition ? Would sure love to use the speaker in my laundry room to make my kids do their chores. Overall, easy to use, excellent sound, highly adaptable to needs and you can even grab a speaker if heading on the road. Take that in-home hard wired surround systems!.Version: 26.0.1

Fantastic except...I can't speak enough to how happy I am with my SoundTouch 10's. Have 3 and will most likely get another. Being able to have music everywhere I go, inside and outside of my home, whether all playing the same or something different is fantastic. Unfortunately I've recently run into a disappointing problem when streaming shows. They have the capacity to combine and play in stereo, which sounds even better when playing music but when synchronized and watching a streaming show, they fall behind. A delay. Sound is fantastic but you can see mouths moving before you hear the audio. Which is...well, annoying. I sincerely hope there is a fix for this. Using just one when streaming works just fine, fortunately so I will continue to enjoy them and highly recommend this product..Version: 15.120.23

Sound touch appSo far no complaints with the app or the speaker I have always like Bose and think it's a better sound than Sonos the app has been updated a couple of times but not too much and I think I have updated the speaker about three times in two years so all in all not too much faffing needed to keep it up to date the only down side if u can call it that is that Apple Music is not on the app as a streaming service have to play it from phone or iPad which is no bother but u would think they would use Apple Music on the app..Version: 15.120.23

Love itEasy to use from your phone anywhere in the house great sound love the Bose system.Version: 27.0.1

A subsequent review. Much, much better nowIt’s Christmas Day 2021… It would appear that SoundTouch has solved some, if not many or all, of the problems that I spoke about in my previous BLAST INTO THE ETHER seen below. I do not use the SoundTouch app often. In preparation for Christmas, on the iPhone, there was no update to their system (as there has been in the past). On a fairly new iPad, the installation, update and connection only took about 3-5 (somewhat frustrating) minutes. Then my Bose Wave radio and separate Bose SoundTouch 20 speaker worked together. Wow! Wonders never cease! I wanted to be sure these two would work together, so I reconnected these two (radio and speaker) on the days leading up to Christmas multiple times. Reconnecting was almost instantaneous. Bose seems to have solved a lot of problems. I’m glad. I might start using these super expensive, beautiful sounding machines a lot more now that they actually work without a massive investment of time and frustration. Wow. They are actually working! Maybe somebody was listening. JimK I’ve been struggling with this stupid app for two years now. What a waste of time! I sincerely regret purchasing the Bose Wave Radio and the Bose Soundtouch 20 thinking that I could EASILY link the two together to fill two adjoining rooms (living & dining) with beautiful music. Can It happen? Yes, of course. Does it happen EASILY? Too infrequently, for my satisfaction. Often, in fact, more often than not, I struggle with these two units as I try to coordinate a single source of music across the two devices using Bluetooth. Often I am greeted with yet another request to “update” the system. If I am not updating the system, my iPad's music is transmitted to one of the devices, but not the other. Or, both devices are shown as playing, but I can only control the sound on one. Or, with both devices shown, the sound is locked and cannot be adjusted on either. The app is a disaster! And so, often, I bring in my little wee, battery powered Bluetooth speaker and listen to it. What a waste of my time and money. SoundTouch Developers: stop constantly updating the stupid app and do something to make it work... and work easily! ...work effortlessly! ...work the way people "think.".Version: 27.0.1

Excellent product, decent appThe Bose sound touch is an excellent product. Great highs & lows, easy setup, and overall great room-filling sound. The app is not revolutionary, but it gets the job done. It makes the setup a bit easier. You set a preset by dragging & dropping a station to one of the preset numbers. Those numbers match the hardware buttons on the unit. I have had some of the same issues that other users have reported where occasionally I'll start the app on my iPhone 6S & it'll say it can't find the stereo, even though both my phone & the stereo are connected via the same wifi network. I've tested this extensively by turning off the cell phone radio on my phone, only having wifi enabled, confirming I can surf the Internet, while music is playing on the stereo. It seems that when my phone has issues finding the stereo, my wife's iPhone7 doesn't have any issues connecting. I suspect a bug with AirPlay, but I've never encountered this issue with other products (like our AirPlay printer). Rebooting the stereo almost always fixes the problem. We use the stereo daily. It's the best addition to our house..Version: 15.120.23

Fantastic interface!!!I have enjoyed more than a half hour jumping around between Bluetooth, email, apps,WiFi, routers, passwords, password resets, error codes, more passwords, account settings, error connecting messages and FINALLY................. I said to my self what a wonderfully difficult and tedious way to try and listen to internet radio. It looks like I will work in silence for today as my attempts have been futile and my temper has risen to new highs. I will make an effort to connect another time maybe weeks in the future. I do have another brand of speaker that will connect to anyone’s phone in three taps but I really want to suffer with this Bose app until it finally works..Version: 25.0.4

SoundTouch AppWorks extremely well ... BUT ... the fairly frequent updates are a positive nuisance, requiring a reset of all the devices used to operate the the music library on the computer. It MUST be possible to give users an option when those updates are activated. At present users have NO option. It seems to be better since I wrote the above! Should I congratulate myself on bring about well overdue improvement ???.Version: 27.0.1

Excellent. This is one of the most robust, well thought through and full of features app i have ever used. I can say that who so ever designed the app and chose features simply used common sense and added what ever users may need in this app. Quality of speakers add to the experience by playing music flawlessly without any delay on all speakers you choose. Ability to play same song on multiple speakers at the same time and create play groups on the fly with such an ease through app UI is marvelous. Simple and well thought through app. You will find controls exactly where they should have been. No need to tweak a lot of knobs in settings or navigate through multiple screens to achieve something. I love this app and its simplicity. It takes care of a lot of things on its own. Adding a new speaker is so simple. They simply used common sense and app turned out so great..Version: 18.1.4

Great App Needs RefiningFirst the app is great; it’s come a long way, with that said the ability to search for a particular artist, album, or song when connected to your “Music Library” via your computer would be a GREAT addition. It’s annoying having to scroll from songs with the number 1 all the way to the “Ms” just to get to an album that starts with the letter M. Secondly, the app splitting songs up based on whether or not there’s a featured artist on the song is irritating. I find a album after having to manually scroll thru all albums to get to it to only then find out that only 6 of the 13 songs are displayed because the other 7 have featured artist i.e.; I select Lloyd’s album “Tru” and only 4 songs display yet if I go back to the album selection page there’s 6 additional songs by Lloyd that appear such as; Lloyd [Featuring Rick Ross] that do not show up under the actual album “Tru” simply because there’s a featured artist on the actual song therefore I have to go back and forth to play the full album. Fixing these issues would make the app a 5 for me..Version: 18.1.4

Sound Touch Will be the Future at our houseI have been pleased with the ease of use of the Bose SoundTouch Wireless Link. I have had a couple of issues relating to the usefulness of the Bose Sound Touch Application. Occasionally it forgets the device and needs to be set up again. Other than this the Wireless Link is a great addition to our home..Version: 15.120.23

Hit and Miss Mobile App function - Soundtouch 30After an hour on the phone to Bose engineer (who was very helpful)I can now use my soundtouch 30. Problems occurred when changing the router that I had upgraded on Virgin Media. The soundtouch was looking for the old network, when I changed the settings still it didn’t work. Now my mobile phone app only works with my music library when my laptop is on, weird. Great quality sound and good customer service. Online instructions need to be clearer on how to reset the soundtouch when it needs to be connected to a new router. Otherwise 5 stars all the way..Version: 18.1.4

OK overall but wi-fi connection is unreliableThe app itself is fine when it’s working. It now has a better radio selection via TuneIn. The connection to the wi-fi however is very unreliable and regularly shows as disconnected even when standing right next to the router or speaker. There also seems to be an issue with staying commuting the cinema system the required regular reconnection. It’s frustrating and frankly unacceptable from what is supposed to be a premium brand, and to have such a poorly constructed app is a let down when the hardware is so expensive..Version: 25.0.4

AwesomeApp works really well, have a SoundTouch 20 and it sounds brilliant for such a smallish good looking speaker (no match for my separates system but that would NOT in any way be allowed in our living room) Anyway this review is for the app - really logical layout, works brilliantly, always 100% reliable unlike old flaky Bluetooth speakers I’ve had before. Huge bonus points for the bass reduction feature - I gather this wasn’t included before but this addition makes the speaker SO much more versatile in terms of where you can put it! No more shoving sponge in the port! 😁.Version: 18.1.4

Excellent home sound systemI have a Bose SA5 Amp driving acoustimass 5 speakers inside, and a pair of outdoor Bose 251 speakers on the deck, a SoundTouch 20 in the office, and 3 soundtouch wireless link adaptors connected to various amps and speakers throughout the house. I can play the same music everywhere in perfect sync or chose different sources for each individual location. Being able to access music from networked hard drives, computers and streaming services is amazing. I’ve found the system to work very well and highly recommend all the Bose SoundTouch devices. Only gripe was that iHeartRadio not avail in NZ so I couldn’t listen to the likes of Hauraki or ZM, however I emailed vtuner and they added these stations into vtuner for me so now available on the Bose system. If you need radio stations added search vtuner and fill in their online form..Version: 18.1.4

SoundTouch 10Wifi goes in and out quite often, bit annoying, to say the least.Version: 14.80.6

ExcellentI was looking to replace my 5.1 HiFi system which I was listening only in 2.1 mode though. More than enough. I was looking for something not only for movies but mainly for listening to music on my phones. I wanted something simple and get rid of all cables, amplifier etc.... I went to a shop and tried all soundbar from £ 250 to £ 1500. The best of all was by far the Bose soundtouch 300. I can't possibly understand the reviews on the internet which were claiming that SONY, Samsung etc... were fantastic. Anyway, the sound is excellent and the bass is amazing. I would recommend this soundbar without hesitation. You need the subwoofer though!.Version: 20.0.3

Very Baic AppApp can have a lot more features. Pretty basic app 😐.Version: 18.1.4

SoundTouch 300 Surround SystemInitial setup of the Bose SoundTouch wasn’t as easy as I anticipated as I am not an as savvy as some people. Fortunately Bose provides excellent support which has enabled me to ultimately enjoy the full capacity of my SoundTouch system. App access to the system via my phone is exceptional, providing another dimension for enjoying the exceptional performance of my SoundTouch, Simply Brilliant !.Version: 21.0.7

Update pleaseThe app barely works. I use the remote or the Spotify app to play music. When I open the Bose app, it says it’s not connected to wifi or that it cannot find my speaker( that’s already playing music). I’ve fixed the issue by not using the Bose app at all. Please fix this guys..Version: 22.0.2

Sound TouchWe now have 3 sound touch systems, sometimes a little finicky to get configured but good help available. Nice sound everyone is happy..Version: 27.0.1

SoundTouch link to wave systemWas bought a wave 4 system by my wife who didn’t realise I actually was looking at the wave SoundTouch system. However after a trip to the Bose guys we purchased a WiFi SoundTouch link and set that up very easily so was able to connect to both Bluetooth and our WiFi system and thus able to use the Bose SoundTouch app throughout the house . Just recently purchased and added 2 of the SoundTouch 10 speakers to the system and after having to update the software on the speakers and the app am now happily listening to music in various rooms at volumes that are controlled either via the app or by the speakers small and neat remotes. I used to be a Sony buyer but have slowly been upgrading to Bose throughout the home for all our sound systems. From in ear headphones for each of us, surround sound micro system for the computer, sound bar for the tv , wave system for general use so am almost there. Excellent service, back up , advise and assistance whenever I have been either into their stores or on the phone to their support lines. Well done Bose. A great company with a great product.Version: 20.0.2

Very POR app performanceAbsolutely rubbish connectivity. App often will not connect to or find the speaker and speaker has to be reset/searched for manually. Again this is hit and miss and it can often take more than 5 attempts to eventually connect by repeating the exact same tedious steps even if it’s the same device/phone being used to control it ........ patience is required. To add insult to it apple charged £1 for the app even though it says it’s free?? Once connected the app gives a reasonable level of control but you cannot select the CD player from it only blue tooth, radio or internet radio. App needs more work to refine it and improve the connection..Version: 17.170.82

Horrible connectivity - so disappointed with BoseI too am surprised at a 4.7 rating, simply cannot be true. We have 3 Bose SoundTouch speakers, purchased at different times over last couple of years. I bought them because I want to be able to control with my phone. Two of the speakers are placed on shelves near ceiling. I can never just pick up my phone and control with the ST app. I must go through, on average 30 minutes of reconnecting speakers to the internet and even then they don’t stay connected. My sister has a Sonos system and never ever has had the experience I’ve had with these Bose. We are Bose people and have several other Bose products, Waves, surround sound, etc. We are happy with all of our other products but the SoundTouch has caused literally hours of frustration! I wish Bose would do something about this problem! I cannot recommend this speaker system to anyone else..Version: 20.0.3

Superior Sound and FunctionalityBeen looking for some speakers for the apartment that would allow me to play music from my phone+computer. The computer and TV speakers just weren’t cutting it anymore. After reading up on similar speakers, I narrowed down my options to Sonos and Bose. Sonos boasts integrated Alexa functionality but we aren’t big Google/Amazon ecosystem users at home. Even so, I imagine that integrated feature can be very convenient. Coupled with Bluetooth, the Wi-Fi capability was a big selling point. At the price of these and similar speakers, I imagine a lot of folks are looking at audio fidelity. I was pretty surprised at the augmented quality playing audio through Wi-Fi versus Bluetooth. Having both connectivity options will definitely come in handy. Very happy with this purchase. I opted for two speakers so the stereo field is a truly pleasant listening experience. Last, I am a huge fan of the tactile buttons as another control option. While I’ll probably do most of the controlling via phone/app, I can appreciate the availability and superior quality of the buttons on the speakers. Thank you, Bose!.Version: 15.120.23

Sound touch 300Had Bose surround sound system before and loved it. New house and thought sound bar and woofer looked like a good alternative, turns out to be correct, great sound..Version: 15.120.23

Sound touch 30I’ve had these Sound Touch Speakers for some time, they give great value and the sound from them are exceptional. If ever there was a bad point, periodically these speakers have to be updated, which is a small price to pay. I also have found several of the overseas stations have been taken off the Sound Touch app, I was informed they will be back, this was over two years ago and I’m still waiting for a decision to be made. As I said before they are good speakers, if one can find one of these speakers do make the purchase..Version: 27.0.1

Excellent, crisp soundI'm very happy with my soundtouch. It never failed to deliver beautiful, crisp music for my enjoyment. I've always feel so relax as I look forward to coming home from work and turn it on straight away to listen to good music. On weekends, it's working all day!.Version: 15.120.23

Your app before and nowI do enjoy using your app although recently I tried to upgrade my wireless router to a Linksys high powered model and after countless tries my wirelessly connected iPad and iPhone using the app would not "see" any soundtouch units. Switching back to my providers wifi, it immediately found my systems. I do have one criticism. I realize you've changed the app to be more in line with your other apps but the previous COLOR app was very appealing. Perhaps in a future release you could rethink the starkness of black and white. Also thank you for putting back recently played. I'd like to see more presets on the app. I understand the physical limit on the systems themselves but within the app this would not be a difficult add. Thank you for listening..Version: 15.120.23

Does what is states it willThis small device has enabled me to stream internet wireless and my iTunes library to the older version of my Sound Dock. Should have purchased it well before now to get maximum enjoyment out of listening to the Sound Dock. Still has amazing sound..Version: 17.170.81

Pretty Good For The Most PartI’ve had my SoundTouch for about 3 years it’s pretty good most of the time however from time to time disconnects from wifi for some reason and needs to be reconnected which can be a bit of a inconvenience, but I would like to ask Bose App team to consider putting a power button on the widget for Apple as it would make it so much easier than going into the app to turn the system on and off..Version: 26.0.5

Happy Bose customerGreat sound, App is easy to use, very happy with our Bose Sound Bar.Version: 18.1.4

Great app but one thing missingThis is a very easy app to use and works flawlessly. The only thing I believe would improve it would be the ability to have a sleep timer. That way you could say set it for 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes and listen to music while you drift off to sleep..Version: 15.120.23

Great App, could still be betterI really enjoy the quality of the sound. The Lifestyle 523 Series III is over two yrs old & has had no problems. The TV interface is simple & straight forward. Playing through my computer on iTunes works well. One can select various playlists from iTunes. I use the app on my iPad, it is less than intuitive, however with a little persistence it works out fine. Working with the App give you more choices than with the TV display. I look forward to adding additional WiFi speakers throughout the house. I’ve had great help with customer service when I’ve needed it, which is not often. I strongly recommend the app, & the hardware. It’s a great package for quality sound & versatility. If you have questions on anything give customer service a call..Version: 18.1.4

AwesomeI originally brought the sound bar 300 that is awesome then I added the base module these together sound amazing I then brought the SoundTouch 30 for my spare roof this also sounds amazing the best part about this app is I can stream music from my iPhone to either speaker and at the touch of a button from within the SoundTouch app I can play the same music on both speakers at the same time unlike other apps I've used in the past when I open the sound touch app the music does not stop playing it plays very nice with iPhone.Version: 15.120.23

SoundTouch SpeakersThe ability to control music from anywhere in my house and listen to stations around the world is just fantastic. We’ve had two speakers for about two years and never had a problem. Well done Bose..Version: 18.1.4

Perfect except for no Apple Music support!!The product and app are perfect!!! Except for it supporting all the streaming services, including ones I've never heard of, except for Apple Music!!! The product is worth the money, the app is great and customer service is excellent. Such a shame they bring their score down by not supporting Apple Music..Version: 15.120.23

Continuously disconnectsI’ve had my speaker for 4 years and been using SoundTouch app from day 1. When it works it’s great but it constantly disconnects from WiFi. I thought initially it was due to weak WiFi but after moving a couple of times and trying 2 internet providers I have to assume it’s the speaker or the SoundTouch app. Shame as the sound is great but so unreliable. You couldn’t entertain hoping to have music the whole night, I have to have a back up for when it fails..Version: 20.0.3

Great choiceWe moved to a smaller home and chose the Bose Soundwave system initially because of the compact size. We are delighted with its sound, clarity and depth and have recommended it to several friends, who like us, have downsized their accommodation..Version: 14.80.6

Listening to the worldLove having the ability to listen to voices, music and cultures from all around this magnificent planet. Could do with having the option to control all Soundwave functions not just internet radio.Version: 15.120.23

Constantly confounded by how poor this app isI love Bose, when it comes to sound quality there's no question that they're systems are some of the best around. I was so eager to get these that I sold my almost new Sonos speakers and replaced them with these. Too bad the Sonos app and speaker capability is FAR superior to Bose. These speakers have connectivity issues on an almost daily basis. I constantly have to unplug them and plug them in again for the app to 'see' the speaker and for them to be able to network together. This is annoying, more so when you've paid over $1000 for a system. Additionally, basic features like a sleep function and alarm clock would also be nice (all available with the Sonos). The connectivity issues and extremely basic app aren't befitting of the brand and over a year later I'm still waiting for basic improvements. Very disappointing..Version: 15.120.23

Great sound systemBought the Bose SoundTouch 300 system nearly 2 years ago. Have been very happy with the performance. Today did an app update and can use Apple AirPlay, even better as Bluetooth can be tricky as it tends to pair with the last user. Would recommend any of the Bose products. Just bought the Solo5 for another TV the kids use and have a pair of Soundlink speakers for outdoor use..Version: 23.0.4

Bose 4 everGlad to have made a great long term investment in my sound system top notch system long live Bose can’t wait to add 300 speakers to my set up recommend this system to everyone hope I can push you some well earned sales well done guys.Version: 15.120.23

Sound is Amazing. CEC Control still has issuesThe sound quality is second to none. Updating the firmware on the SoundTouch300 while it’s connected to my TV is not a flawless operation though. My gut instinct tells me this is probably related to having my SoundTouch300 connected via CEC Control. My SoundTouch300 always gets “hung up” while updating firmware and I’m forced to unplug/replug power to the SoundTouch300 to get the update to finish. Also, my SoundTouch app never displays the percentage complete during a SoundTouch300 firmware update. After I’ve cycled power to the SoundTouch300, the SoundTouch app almost instantly displays 100% complete. Still, the sound quality from the SoundTouch300 is amazing so issues with updating firmware are not that big of an inconvenience to me. Considering the amazing sound quality and minor firmware updating issues, I rate the SoundTouch app 4/5 stars..Version: 18.1.4

Good for bedroomClean sound. Good for bedroom. Looking at the 30 now for the lounge... will let you know!.Version: 15.120.23

Best BOSE ever!!!Great product. Very easy to setup. Never had any problem. I have the complete setup as in the Bose Soundtouch 300 Soundbar, the Acoustimass 300 bass module and the Virtually Invisible 300 rear surround speakers. I have these complete setup for a month now as a birthday present for myself 😊. All hook up wirelessly to my Bose Soundtouch 300 Soundbar and never had any problem at all. The iPhone app works fine and flowlessly, without the app I cannot control my Bose anywhere in my house and with the app I can control the volume of the rear surround speakers too. The sound quality is superb especially with action packed movies! Truely AMAZING!!!.Version: 15.120.23

Bose updateI have had several bose soundtouch Systems over the past 12 years. I love them. However in July 2018 the speakers were unable to connect to play any of my itunes music or any music on my apple devices. I was very frustrated after spending $599 for the Soundtouch III System. I was on the phone hours with a technician and it still did not work. I was through with Bose at that point and felt like I had wasted on $599. I wanted to sell the system on Ebay but was not sure if it was broken or not. But once apple launched the ios12 update, Bose updated the speakers and they finally work after 4 months of no music. This was a very frustrating ordeal. It will certainly make me think twice about purchasing the Soundtouch IV..Version: 18.1.4

Wow! AUX and HDMI rebroadcast!!What an amazing update, it’s so much easier to add speakers together now and I can send audio from my TV source to other SoundTouch speakers. The best part is you can keep the video and audio in sync with the TV with a small delay to other rooms. (Perfect for when I’m watching football in the living room and head out to the SoundTouch 20 in the Kitchen, I can still hear the commentary!!) or sync the audio to other rooms with a small delay on the TV. Great when I’m using my Apple TV with Apple Music for audio around the house!!!.Version: 15.120.23

Love the bluesLove the blues.Version: 27.0.1

Brilliant technology and soundRecommended for anyone with an iPhone.Version: 23.0.4

Great speakers, OK appI love my Bose speakers for sound quality, and the SoundTouch app is certainly improving with each update. The lack of support for Apple Music is unfortunate, and if you sync with your Mac iTunes library there are problems syncing album art with the SoundTouch app (my iTunes library is perfectly arranged so this is an annoyance). I plan to update this review as the features improve..Version: 17.170.81

Sound touch 300This is awesome ! Thanks you.Version: 27.0.1

Great appLove the ability of being able to control different zones from PC, Phone and now iwatch. Only down side is the time it takes to re connect a zone should it disconnect. This happened after recent update. Rather than trying to connect individual, best you delete all speakers and start again! Happy now!.Version: 20.0.3

Easy set up and it works as advertisedAfter years Of struggling with finding a sound system that would work with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth sound touch 10 has given me that option and the sound quality is more than acceptable - very happy with the product..Version: 15.120.23

Totally useless! This app works only when it feels like working. It fades in and out on most music, and seldom does Sirius play for more than an hour without shutting down. Looks good from far, but it’s far from good..Version: 23.0.4

Bose SoundTouch AppThe app takes a bit of getting used to but it works very well. Selection of albums, tracks and artists are available using the search function. Transmitting the sound to various devices in different rooms is easy enough but you need strong broadband for it to work continuously. Using the system during the peak “movie viewing evening period” can be frustrating. I like too, that I can select international wi-fi radio stations and pair them with 6 buttons on the SoundTouch devices. FM radio stations can also be paired to these 6 buttons. However, the SoundTouch Wireless Link Adapter does not have presets but it does allow the addition of Bluetooth pairing to the system. The Bose Wave also has Bluetooth pairing as does 3rd generation SoundTouch speakers. All pulled together, it makes a fine multi room system when several SoundTouch units are added and synced with the app, and played in unison. Some Bose SoundTouch tv speakers can also be controlled and added with the app. Bose have made significant grades to the app from time to time..Version: 20.0.3

FantasticThis is the most fantastic set up. The SoundTouch 20 and the BOSE app both work exceptionally well. It is quality at a value for money price. Tried Sonos and returned it. This is heaps better. Subscription music is either unavailable in Australia or the ones that are tend to drop out but the free music works well..Version: 17.170.81

Internet RadioExcellent system with one caveat. The app gives access to a vast number of internet radio stations, unfortunately it is a very tedious process to scroll through them to find the station you would like to save. I tried selecting “France” and it took a very long time starting with stations alphabetically “A” to arrive at the station called NRJ under “N”. It would help if the App gave the option to search more quickly by clicking on the letters of the Alphabet to shorten the search process. As for the Speaker. I’m enjoying it, easy to set up and it is linked to my MacBook, iPad and iPhone. What more can you ask? Well except for a speedier method of sorting the internet radio stations available..Version: 17.170.81

Big sound for a little speakerLove the Bose sound touch 10 especially with the new update, the app is now much easier to control the speaker. I even have my smart Tv connected to it and my Mac PC. I have even taken it camping with me. ( with electric hook up of course). Saving my pennies now for a second speaker I can pair with it for superior quality sound. Any suggestions for improvement would be more presets on the app and maybe a podcast category and more choice of internet stations..Version: 15.120.23

Don’t forget to read the instructionsI made a mistake an delete the app and had to start over . And I actually didn’t need too. After reinstalling the app it didn’t work. I didn’t need to start from scratch all I needed was to reconnect to the speaker. Trying to be super quick looking at the instructions over 30 minutes and looking for my wave sound system in the instructions and forgot they never name the wave system, I forgot the speaker that they refer to the instructions was actually my wave system. Ok this is on Bose why instead of calling it a speaker why not use the word system. Yes the wave has speakers, but it actually more than a speaker in the instructions replace the word speaker with system because it’s more than a speaker . Other than that it’s sounds awesome. I guess that why I still have my 901’s. The quality is unbelievable..Version: 23.0.4

Nose SoundTouchPlays most of stations in list but some are off and on will play one day and not the next, but otherwise good.Version: 15.120.23

Generally happy with itThe only thing that frustrates me with SoundTouch and I’m not sure if it’s the app, the software or the devices themselves... but when I have my sound bar and my SoundTouch 20 connected together... sometimes when I try to adjust the volume for one of the speakers, they either both start automatically getting louder, or turning themselves down. I have tried updating software and updating the app and nothing fixes it???.Version: 20.0.3

Awesome Little UnitCouldn’t be happier with my SoundTouch 20. Practically set itself up and I found the radio stations and music services I wanted effortlessly. Even connecting to Soundcloud and Mixcloud via Bluetooth was no biggie and I haven’t noticed and issues with connectivity or sound at all. The sound in general is amazing and I love that I can control it even when I’m lying in bed in the morning. Very happy :).Version: 18.1.4

Surprise friendsI love this system. I can change stations from my iPad or the controller I have in my kitchen. I can switch speakers from upstairs to the man cave while the man is trying to watch his sports channel! Haha.Version: 15.120.23

Alarm ClockNeeds to have an alarm clock and not lose the stations that I listen to..Version: 20.0.3

Tired of reseting the WiFi - allocate ages for updatesI have been and having endless trouble with my four loudspeakers that are working on a BT whole home Wi-Fi system volume controls don’t work seems to take forever there seems to be time lag the speed on my system is very high so I’m not sure what’s going on the one thing I did notice was that the app I am using is now one year old and I can’t count how many upgrades I’ve had from Apple on the operating system and other such systems I wonder if those are not doing a great deal with this app anymore if not pretty expensive.I feel this product is really now out of date and its functionality is somewhat question so please check it out before you purchase really to avoid disappointment.Version: 27.0.1

SoundTouch 300Great sound quality for the size. It’s very clean. It definitely needs good quality sound input however. Any source where the sound is marginal is very audible in the sound quality. Great bass response for the size too with no audible distortion at any volume level. Connectivity needs improvement however. I am tech savvy but this thing is a pain to setup and often does not connect to a source on the first or even the second try. No sound is emitted unless there is a delay in sequencing from the source. This could likely be fixed with a software upgrade. Some people setting the system up may give up if they are not very patient. Sound quality via Bluetooth is surprisingly excellent once you get it to connect..Version: 15.120.23

SoundTouch 10Sound Touch 10 ; easy to install, great application! Good quality, great work Bose!.Version: 27.0.1

Happy together with Bose SoundTouchI am absolutely thrilled with the Bose SoundTouch system. I have been a huge supporter of Bose for many, many years. I still have the Bose 901 speakers that I sacrificed to purchase while in college and survived on peanut butter sandwiches to ensure that I could make the purchase. It was more than a purchase, it was an investment in amazing quality soundI am originally from New York City and enjoyed listening to WQXR which is the classical radio station for the New York Times via my Bose speakers. I have a grown-up with the Bose quality line of superior music products and have proudly added the SoundTouch system to my collection. This is an amazing system, I highly recommend it to everyone even my friends who have invested heavily in other products like Sonos. There is no comparison. I will remain a faithful Bose audiophile and look forward to adding additional sound touch speakers to our home to expand this footprint. Thank you for this wonderful, wonderful product that has made my husband and I for both engineers extremely happy..Version: 15.120.23

Great sound and appThanks I have been enjoying the app and sound quality it works great and whatever device you are using to operate the app phone or tablet it does not affect the battery life of the device that is major This app deserves five stars but my simple reason for giving it four starts is what Bose did in the last upgrade they took away the internet option of searching the internet for your radio stations and forcing you to used tune in radio for your search engine that’s not good tune in does carry all the radio stations so you basically lost all your saved stations from the internet If you can’t give us back the internet search then add. myTuner Radio Pro they have more radio stations than tunein give us that option please thanks.Version: 20.0.3

Over all 4/5 StarsChanged my life involves me in action been enjoying music and movies after a long time, I have bilateral hearing loss different frequency losses -low and mid frequency hearing loss in Right and high frequency loss in Left ear been wearing hearing aids Oticon Opn1 in both ear, my hearing aids got me listening and talking in the real world and with the Soundtouch 300 and the Acoustimass 300 got me enjoying movies music, I use the bass to my advantage go up and down to get the best tolerance and tailor to my requirements, the clear dialogue button on the remote is a life saver on the days my hearing is playing up. Overall very satisfied with my purchase didn't give 5 stars because Soundbar by itself doesn't add the background resonance Soundbar works very well in combination with Acoustimass..Version: 15.120.23
