✓ A Wonderful SolutionI am yet navigating the application, but I am already amazed by the interface. First, I very much appreciate how it integrates with the visual style of iOS. However, that is merely a first impression! The interface effectively leverages the available functionality of the device, actually bringing the ease of calculation even further. With the flexibility of the touch screen, it enables users to directly manipulate data with the concise use of buttons. I really do enjoy using this application. THE BAD: No way to import calculations from other apps (using say cut-and-paste). I find Graphing somewhat unintuitive - but maybe that's just my own issue. WHAT COULD BE IMPROVED: Support for fractions would be very convenient for work workers, and those in construction trades. All calculations are performed a single session - restored each time to restart the app. However, it might be handy to have support for creating, saving and restoring multiple sessions. Excellent for what-if measurements. e.g. Measuring bracket spacing for a curtain rod: length minus 10cm each end, divided by 3 for bracket spacing. But what if we take 5cm offset instead of 10, and have 4 brackets? 8 cm offset? Easy. Normal calculator, start over and refer back to your notes, and maybe key it in wrong because you’re tired from juggling these numbers in your memory. ✓ Best and Most Useful AppLove this app. Been using it for years. It saves a lot of time than just manually figuring things out. I do have some few but can be big improvements suggestions. 1) A way to move a line of equations together. Sometimes these equations are too close when they are created and it’s hard to move one number at a time to give more spacing from other top and bottom equations. 2) A way to move groups or collections of equations. Once I’ve created a set of connected equations, it’s hard to move them to another area if the page. 3) A way to save and open equations you have created. I had a lot of good and long equations from one phone and I bought another. There was no way to restore, copy or open my old equations on my new phone. 4). Tab of equations to better grouping purposes..Version: 1.6

✓ Almost perfect!Tydlig is great. It’s my most preferred calculator. It keeps all my entries in display allowing me to review, correct and change them. Writing frequently used calculations and formula becomes easy because with Tydlig I don’t have to write them in full again. It doesn’t allow me however to cut and paste a line of entries if I want to arrange them. Unneeded line too remains as a blank space when erased and deleted. There’s only one thing...how is anyone supposed to calculate everything in their lives such as their wage, some payment calculations, some graphs and anything else on just one piece of paper? What makes the notes app do good on iPhone is that you can have a number of different files and a number of different folders but there’s no option for saving canvases and creating new ones. ✓ At first I thought it’s a nice and newly developed app but...But I saw from the comments, it’s been quite a while since it was released and it has been very slow to get updates. From what I see, feasible improvements would include: 1- Different sorts of sheets such as lined and checked ones so that you can align your calculations and do away with messy look. 2- Auto alignment such as files on a desktop. 3- Addition of different working papers. You can only work with only one paper, which is unbelievable this is still to be improved. 4- Some people below call for the addition of more complex math things such as variables. Why not!? ✓ Clever and powerful!I needed to build some arctangent graphs to simulate the law of diminishing returns. The graphs needed constants, and I was using Wolfram Alpha to tune those constants. Edit a number, replot. Edit again, replot again. A pain! Enter Tydlig. I typed out those equations, graphed them, then used the slider to tune my constants with real-time feedback of how the graph responds. It was amazing! And I love that the tool does not require internet access (unlike Wolfram Alpha). I’d pay way more than $2 for this..Version: 1.6

✓ Powerful tool but currently restrictedI as part of my job use a piece of software called Mathcad. That program allows you to layout calculations as you would on paper with the addition that it then gives you the answer. This app provides you with a taste of that capability allowing you to generate multistage calculations with full visibility of how the calculation is constructed. The only thing that stops this being a very useful tool is the limitation of only having a single canvas. I would like, as others have mentioned, a way to have multiple work spaces. No need to link, just label, save and return to later. I don't usually volunteer for in-app purchases, but I'd pay $1 for a "pad" of 10 sheets or $5 for unlimited sheets without hesitation. Another useful capability would be an in-app units conversion capability, something simple like the "Unit Converter" widget in the macOS Dashboard. I've seen lots of fancied up unit conversion apps that get so lost in their graphic enthusiasm that they are hard to use. Not needed and well within the Tydlig esthetic. It's only failing is the lack of ability to have some kind of "saved calculations" or multiple worksheets. ✓ Refreshing new approach to the calculator appAfter using this app for a a few hours, I could never go back to using an ordinary calculator again. It enables me to map out a whole problem, rather than just calculate bits of it. I first used it for the trigonometry involved in programming a three wheeled robot, and it was so helpful that I've become hooked. The ability to label each number in a calculation means that I can pick up again later from where I left off without forgetting where I was up to and having to start again. The ability to reuse operands and answers, and have them update if the original calculation changes is just brilliant. ✓ Great calculator, though it really needs a multiple sheet featureTydlig is an great calculator app that I use all the time, however it has one downfall. I've built up a suite of formulas that I use regularly to assist me with my day-to-day work (such as calculating breathing apparatus working durations for firefighters), without needing to remember complex formulas. However the more I use Tydlig (by adding more formulas) the more it becomes cumbersome to use, which is a real shame, as Tydlig doesn't allow more than one 'sheet' or screen. The result is that I need to cram all of my formulas onto one page, which makes it cumbersome to use frequently, and just as cumbersome (sometimes more so) to manage all of these formulas. The iPad app is a little better, though it also eventually falls victim to this issue too. Ironically more so owing to iPad's bigger screen size, which allows the user to add more, and more detailed, formulas. If we could save our formulas to 'sheets' in iCloud, this would allow users to manage all of their formulas so much better and allow formula sharing. I'm giving Tydlig 4/5 stars for this reason. Once Tydlig gains a 'sheet' feature that works with iCloud, I'd definitely give it 5/5 stars..Version: 1.6
