Happify: for Stress & Worry for Negative User Reviews

Not sure if it's worth paying forI moved over from superbetter as that app/program has limited functionality. Happify fixes that but it lacks the rigour of superbetter- some of your daily tasks might be a true or false question and tasks repeat frequently through tracks. Not sure it's worth the $12 a month plus international card charge! I also doubt the value of the serenity scene that pops up all the time; there's a lot of good work out there about curiosity as an antidote to anxiety and that it might actually be harmful to see stress as a state that needs to be eradicated. If I could find an app that could offer the functionality of happify (incorporated forums, notifications etc) alongside the scientific rigour of superbetter, well they could just shut up and take my money! Happify is kinda buggy sometimes too and shuts down. Altogether kinda meh but try it out, it can't hurt..Version: 1.2.0

AnxietyI felt anxious just in the first 2 minutes of using the app because I was bombarded with so much info. I couldn’t continue and immediately uninstalled it..Version: 2.10.12

Great idea, Poor execution.I was enjoying this app for two months but with frequent frustrations with speed and functionality. It didn't deter me from paying the for the premium membership, but now I can't even access my account! It saying it doesn't recognise my FB account which is what I used to create the account! I am hoping this is a temporary situation but it is pretty upsetting because they are preaching about happiness yet does not care about the customer experience!!!!!.Version: 1.17

Used to be goodThis app used to be a good app and a very unique one which i enjoyed using but since my phone has updated it keeps saying ‘network error’ and loses my progress so i have to do the ‘happy assessments’ over and over agin..Version: 2.9.13

This app wants your money more than your happiness.I usually don’t write reviews, but I have become so frustrated at the constant up-selling in this app. I suffer from anxiety and depression - so I downloaded this to relax me. However, after almost EVERY activity I’m bombarded with “you can’t access this unless you upgrade,” “you should upgrade to premium,” “UPGRADE.” It’s very hard to wind down when after you finish a genuinely comforting exercise you have to constantly deny wanting to upgrade. This app has made it clear to me that it’s prioritizes taking your money instead of helping you become a better you..Version: 2.7.3

No workingThis is no no workle. I iz sad coz i haz bad day and dis ap not work well coz i am stil sad and no no hapy..Version: 2.8.6

I can’t log inI was able to sign up through my insurance on a desktop. I downloaded the app and it won’t let me log in and it won’t let me reset the password. I’m able to get a password reset link but it just directs me to download the already downloaded app. I haven’t even been able to use it and I can’t find any contact information to help resolve this issue, hence why I’m writing this review. If this is fixed soon I’ll just delete and try another app..Version: 2.10.12

AnnoyingThis is really annoying. After I deleted the app, it kept sending me messages like, “You will feel a million times better after...” I hate it. Also the app didn’t give me a lot options to work out MY stress. I wouldn’t recommend this app. My mom tried it, loved it for 5 minutes and them I told her, “when you delete it, it keeps sending you messages!” She deleted it AND tried to delete her mail app. That was hilarious but don’t get this app..Version: 2.8.1

ExpensiveThe people who need this app cannot afford it and much of the good stuff is locked. In Canada this app is almost $200 CAD a year. Also, I’d like to see more AI coach guided sessions, without the AI everything else on the app can be done for free on the internet or in a journal making the app basically an storage house with links and a few games..Version: 2.9.34

Nothing newSimplistic and basic..Version: 2.9.11

Exploitation of vulnerable people sufferingThis app has massive potential but all the games and features are designed to upsell you to pay very expensive plans. There are so many altruistic mental health apps that turn healthy profits with modest fees. This one dials the pricing structure up to 11 and pay walls the games and regular functions of the app. There are so many mental health apps that provide basic features that benefit human kind and options out paid features. This is not one of those apps..Version: 2.10.15

MehI like the concept, and was looking for an equivalent to the Noom Mood (which weirdly Noom doesn’t allow you to do both the weight loss program and the mood one simultaneously). So far with Happify I find it hard to navigate, the AI text messaging thing is kind of annoying (at least with Noom it’s a real person that answers your questions it just may take a while). And if you’re too quick with an answer to a prompt, there’s no way to go back and change it. Maybe with more time I’ll like it, but currently not going to pay for it, just doing the free track..Version: 2.11.5

Got Premium, can't login over 4 months, Happify won't helpI found Happify when it was in its Beta phase so I got a Free Lifetime Premium Subscription. About 4 months ago, I changed my password and got an error message. Now I can't log in. I've been emailing customer support for FOUR MONTHS, NOTHING. They claim that they've sent my case to technical support but I've heard nothing back. They NEVER email/update me. They only reply to my emails to say they're "working on it". I've asked for my case to be escalated since I've had it for so long, but nothing has been done! I've asked that a supervisor look at my case, nothing. I've sent screenshots, my computer info, etc, nothing is being solved. I'm beyond frustrated at this point so I'm coming on here to share my experience so others can beware. It's amazing site when you can actually access it. But it shouldn't take so long to fix login issues. So now I'm shopping around for a similar site..Version: 2.11.3

Glitches made it impossible to useI loved the idea that this was a fun, easy, evidence-based app. Unfortunately I couldn't get it to work. The multiple choice questions only allowed me to select the top two options, rendering the whole thing useless. Sorry for the neg feedback as it seems like a good idea that just isn't ready yet..Version: 1.17

Just wow!I have used this app for less than two days and already it has been more understanding and compassionate about my emotions and feelings than all of my family members put together. I had a poll about my least favorite chore and that made me feel listened to. I was just having an emotional meltdown that peaked after three hours and after looking at my phone and seeing a notif for a ‘Happiness Check-In’, I had stopped by the time I read the first question. It was comforting to be acknowledged and cared about individually. The games actually are helpful and the ‘Why this Works’ section is informative and inspires faith and confidence. I recommend this app to my family, friends and anyone who is having it rough. I have tried a lot of these sort of apps before and this one stands out from the rest. One yearly subscription fee ($4.99 a month with $60 as full payment for a year) is $20 cheaper than two weekly visits to my old therapist under insurance. Please give this app a chance. Thank you developers for making such a great thing for everyone. Edit: Purchased the full version, have a week free trial of coaching. 4 days have gone by, no daily advice, questions answered, or progress reviews as promised. Trial expires in two days and haven’t even gotten to use it. Very upset. Considering a full refund..Version: 2.4.3

On boarding awfulIt starts by showing you a very busy screen with all these different tracks you can take and some are paid which is immediately stressful and feels like they’re going to try to push their paid product. Then it goes through all these animations that go too fast to read properly selling the app saying x% of people are happier after doing our activities. I felt like I already got the app why is it trying to convince me of getting it. I’m trying to use it. Then I tried one game with balloons were you have to focus on positive words on the balloons but the UI is janky and it just made me more stressed. As you can see, not feeling positive at all after using ‘Happify’..Version: 2.6.17

BUGCurrent member. Can't open on my new iPhone 5SE. After entering username/password app just closes..Version: 2.0.4

Brilliant idea, poor poor executionThe idea is brilliant. The concept makes you appreciate life more and does help to improve happiness. Unfortunately the app is slow, unresponsive and the games are not scaled to fit on the screen. You have to meditate whilst waiting for the meditations to load up. The website is slightly better, but still has the same reliability issues. I would not pay for subscription at this point until they have tied up these loose ends (I have previously subscribed and the same problems exist). The free version. Well, I suppose you are getting what you pay for..Version: 1.7

App Does Not Work EffectivelyI downloaded the App from the App Store. Every time I tapped login from the app, the page would go blank like it was opening and then take me back to the App Store to the download page. Since I already downloaded the app the only option available was ‘Open’. I tapped on the ‘open’ app button several times after being taken back to the App Store and received the same result. Unfortunately, I had to rate it based on my inability to utilize this app due to technical functionality issues..Version: 2.11.5

Small actions are really good, bigger picture is easily lostI really like the idea behind the app. So many different tasks and triggers. So much to reconsider about life and my habits. However, the overview within the app is easily lost. I have no idea how much of it I have already seen it done. I don't know how big it is or if I'm going about it in the right way. Some guidance and clarity could bring order in the chaos..Version: 1.16

Nice idea but very expensive$85 a year...after months, it's just not really worth it. This is far too focused on extraction of value from the clients and not enough in service..Version: 2.2.14

Way Too Stressful and ClutteredHad hoped this app would help, but it only made me more stressed and upset. Keeping score and subtracting when you miss something? Scrambling to keep up and not miss things? Turning happiness into a competition? NOT a positive thing! Now I feel like I have to measure up and do better and succeed more when that kind of stress is part of the problem to begin with. It was also really distracting with pop-ups about winning certain perks, not to mention confusing as to what they are and do. Honestly, not here to try and earn points. I found the overall layout pretty confusing as well. The emails that are meant to encourage you to do more activities in the app are incredibly annoying. Also didn’t like what I read in the legal and privacy policies, and feeling forced to share my real data. I’d have paid money for an app that was actually relaxing and uplifting while maintaining a feeling of anonymity and privacy. This is NOT that..Version: 2.8.9

Good but very expensiveThis seems like a good app, but the subscription is FAR too expensive. It puts it out of reach for most people who need it. Is this meant to help those in need, or exploit them?.Version: 2.7.5

Basically a poorly designed chat appThis app is way too ambitious for what it’s trying to do. Half the activities are interacting with a chatbot that seems utterly incapable of doing anything other than responding to basic keywords. You can tell it, “I am struggling to find balance between work and home” and it’ll think you have stress at work you need to solve. It’s supposed to be helpful, but it’s gd frustrating to interact with that it ruins the experience completely for me. Just stick to making games and articles that teach the concepts. This chatbot is a disaster that should be dragged out back and deleted permanently..Version: 2.11.7

Why is this in french? How do I change the language?.Version: 2.4.5

Taking money from vonourable peopleFor people with mental health that are desperate and looking for support. Offering a free app that you can barely use without subscribing for a huge amount of money. The insensitivity is atrocious..Version: 2.9.3

WAY too expensive!Yikes, as though I need another thing (finances) to be anxious about! There's no way I can afford the "Premium" prices. The app itself is a great idea. But c'mon...people with limited finances could really benefit from something like this..Version: 1.18

Would be great if it workedI was really excited to try this app and see what it had to offer. Disappointed to find that nothing loads, and the app itself freezes constantly. It's a real shame because as others have said this app is for a good cause. Don't understand why the developers haven't sorted these problems out yet..Version: 1.17

Too ExpensiveIt’s a great app but the price point is far too high. It would cost a fortune in AUD based on the annual or lifetime costs being in USD and those are expensive enough..Version: 2.7.10

Good, but very pricey!!!I know this app would be very helpful for me but I just can't afford it. :(.Version: 1.14

Ploy to be paidThis app has you do one small insignificant part of a larger task and then tells you that you can't do anything else unless you pay for a full premium version...isn't the point of getting someone to pay for premium that you actually provide a good service and convince them it's worth the money? I have not benefitted in the least and it's making me annoyed to start a task, but halfway through it says I can't finish the task unless I pay. Based on what I've seen thus far I would never pay for it. It's not even high quality or worthwhile. There are better freemium apps that actually provide value for free and are worth the paid upgrade.Version: 2.5.6

Not what I expectedUsed the app but it really wasn’t what I expected. Some of the activities were good but I found the app itself a little difficult to navigate and it was frustrating sometimes trying to find a specific activity (breathing activity) and overall I just felt it wasn’t worth the $19.99 for a month. In my opinion I am dissatisfied with this app and won’t be purchasing it in the future. I was hesitant about giving a review because I feel that if I give a negative review I will be considered “unhappy” but in general I am a really happy person and easy going, this app was to see what it was all about and certainly it didn’t make me happier than I already am, just disappointed..Version: 2.7.5

Don’t do the studyStuck in an endless loop of repetitive not-fun questions that never end. I thought once I completed track 1 I could get into some of those happy games. Nope. Pushed into track 2. More survey questions—with stock answers that don’t apply. It took me weeks to finish track 2, but I finally did...only be told to repeat track 2 again. So, I did. And when I completed track 2 again, I was told to repeat it one more time. When you participate in the study, you can’t change your tracks. If you want out of the study, you can’t return to it and lose the perk of premium membership for free. For now I’m sticking with it and praying that I’ll be let out of the “no-exit “ that is these stupid, meaningless survey questions..Version: 2.5.0

App and CIGNA account do not communicateThe app is great and so is the website and all of the activities but I originally created an account through my CIGNA account and it had me download the app which will not sync with the CIGNA login that I have been using so none of my progress can be used in the app since I started it on the desktop which is frustrating. Every time I try to login with the email on the account I used and the password that I use it says that combination does not work, despite being able to login on the internet. So I guess I’ll have to start all over if I want to use that app..Version: 2.11.1

Brilliant idea but......I really resent being drawn in with a free program to flow then I can't progress unless I pay up. It's not a one off payment either which I wouldn't mind, it's subscription only service. This is a massive let down for me. I may not want to commit to the app enough to subscribe, which I don't get a chance to find out because I have to subscribe to experience anything beyond two very short activities. Shady and poor..Version: 1.11

This app does not replace professional help.If this app has been helpful for you, fantastic! If you are wondering whether this app is for you, know at the start if you’re considering this as an alternative to therapy, you should go to therapy. The app does not have a strong ability to adapt to what is being talked about. It does not have the ability to recognize between minor complaints, possible health crisis, or cases of abuse. This app is fine for a small boost and to remind yourself there’s good in the world. This app is not good for unpacking emotional trauma and sorting through what healthy living looks like. Please talk to a therapist or give 988 a call before thinking this app is the end all, be al of mental health. Good luck..Version: 2.11.5

Disponible en français?I was unable to set the language to French in the options.Version: 2.5.1

I was provoked into this reviewI tried he app, it was fine but not for me so I just deleted it. Afterwards I got email after email from happify but when I would click on unsubscribe, I would be taken to a window that wanted me to install the app. The unsubscribe link wouldn’t let me unsubscribe. I thought I could get it with a spam filter but eventually I had to reinstall the app so I could go into the settings about emails. there was no way to unsubscribe otherwise. It didn’t take a long time, but I shouldn’t have had to do it at all. This I give a 1* so the developers can take specific note. And as for the app, it was meh to fine. Sweet concept but it’s a kindergarten game..Version: 2.6.14

Close but needs improvementThis app has a lot going for it and I love that you can choose your 'track'. However, it needs more of the games and fewer activities where you have to write things down. The games that are available are wonderful and very beneficial..Version: 2.2.4

Hard to navigate and takes ages to sign upAnnoying you have to sign up it takes ages and the app is hard to navigate it is not well designed..Version: 2.10.16

DisappointedI was really excited about this app that I subscribed for a year. What a mistake! It's extremely slow. Hard to navigate. Freezes continuously. Now I realize that I cannot cancel. Do not waist your money..Version: 2.0.6

PriceySeems like it would be a great little app, awesome idea, great tools... Unfortunately I only got to the third step before I had to "unlock full access" starting at $12.99/month. No thanks..Version: 1.5.4

Angry Birds With “Bad Thoughts” on themI really wanted this app to help me, but how can I take it seriously when one of the main things it offers is literally a basic physics game but with the bad guy holding a sign that says “Anxiety.” Alternatively, you might click on balloons that have happy words on them. I felt insulted trying to use this app. I also didn’t like how much “defeating loneliness” seemed to assume you already had friends basically and you just needed to reach out more..Version: 2.11.5

Please fix!!The app keeps crashing right when I finish an exercise and try to upload a photo. It doesn’t save my progress and I’d have to complete the exercise all over again. Please fix. Thank you!.Version: 2.11.1

Freezing all the timeI rarely attempt to log into this app now, which is such a shame, because on the odd occasion when it works, it's a great app and does lift my mood. Even with updates trying to access the app; it freezes and then affects the entire phone. After a few seconds able to resume normal activity. It's getting to the stage where I will be deleting this completely, as it certainly isn't making me feel 'happified' in any way..Version: 2.0.2

What? What? I can't hear a thing...Just bought the premium to check out for my son BUT there is no sound. The videos and the Serenity Scene with the guided male or female are all silent. Not impressed with this app. Not easy to get support either. Think twice before doing any in app purchases- total waste so far..Version: 1.22

If Only I Was Rich.....This would app would be great with the tools given with the $60 premium subscription. However as a poor depressed college student I can barely afford food let alone a 'happy' app. From what I've tried it seems to be a great app but without premium you can't do much. For example the last 2 days my track has only listed premium activities that I cannot unlock. I would be less annoyed if it wasn't listed as a free app. Overall if you have $60 you will enjoy this app if not I would give it a pass..Version: 2.5.4

Taking advantage of vulnerable peopleI think the science behind this type of thing is solid but I can’t help feeling that the developers are taking advantage of people who might be vulnerable and looking for happiness in an app. Lower the price of your subscription and make these techniques more affordable to those who need it..Version: 2.4.2

Why do you REQUIRE a login to USE THE APP?I used to like this app but now they require you login. Why? I am not looking to have you save any of my information or how often I’m stressed out and use the app. I thought this would be a private way to just improve my mood on those days when I’m feeling down but apparently you want to collect some information. Kind of kills the joy of the whole thing… No I am not happy with Happify. We should not be required to login in order to use the app. You have made me UNhappy..Version: 2.7.3

Absolute rip offCall themselves charitable?. A complete disgrace.Version: 2.6.8

User interface unreadableThis app really seemed like it would be great BUT I can’t read a damn thing!! Every screen has this light grey on white font that is tiny. Or it is orange. Like, hello?! I am using this on a phone screen!! Please make it easy to read and use. Then maybe your great content will be accessible! Thanks!.Version: 2.10.5

The App developers will be HappyHappy until the price. WAY WAY WAY too expensive. You had me and lost me. And I can't put a price on happiness but I can put a price on one theory of a method to train the brain to shift its hard wiring. I am happily saying that the price is insulting high. Email me when it drops - a lot. Thank you and have the best day you ever had. Billy.Version: 1.14

Hit The PaywallOnly had it for one day. Do my first check in and it asks me to pay to go any further. Deleted. I was already depressed. This didn't help..Version: 2.2.5

230 bucks a year is too priceyGood app but 230 bucks for one years of use is too much. I can’t afford this let alone 800 for a life time of use. Sorry but I will pass. I will use something else to self help..Version: 2.7.10

Nice loading screenCan’t get past the loading screen. :P remarkably buggy app for such an expensive service..Version: 2.9.2

When it works it's great. Freezes and crashes all the timeWhen it works it's great. And I love it. I would pay for the subscription if they fixed the bugs that cause it to crash, freeze, or not open at all. I've had for a year and all versions have always been bad, right now I can't get it to open at all..Version: 2.2.3

Not badI used it for 6 months but it doesn’t account for people wanting to take a break on the weekends. It as heck was not helpful during the COVID. A lot of the stuff was unrealistic during a pandemic if you were stuck at home and could not leave. To top that off try finding how to end your membership..it’s under About Us which any normal person would not look under as that is generally used to tell you about the company not how to do things. It’s not all bad but it doesn’t replace talking to a human being..Version: 2.9.30

Decreasing my happiness adding to my stressI got this app through my work. I registered on our healthcare website. I download the app and try to log in and it says my password isn’t correct. I hit forgot password, it sends me a link in my email, I click on it, and it takes me back to the original page with Happify and my company. I can’t actually reset my password. I did it again and it did the same thing. It keeps cycling me through to the same pages. I give up. This is the stupidest waste of my time. Maybe you should make it easier for people to sign up and link their account from their original registration to the app. 1 star. Don’t waste your time either..Version: 2.11.5

Really good but...My psych prof suggested this app in class. It is a great app with lots of information and fun things to do and try. HOWEVER the subscription is a ridiculous price (which is annual). I find it amazing that mental health providers and advocates do this kind of thing. Lots of positive but I'm turned off by the price..Version: 1.20

App doesn't function well on an iPADThe app doesn't work well on an iPAD. Despite contacting their technical support 3 times, I still can't play the Serenity Scene meditations. Frustrating to pay a monthly subscription for something that doesn't work. Bad customer service that it hasn't been fixed..Version: 1.17

Fun & helpfulMy rating would be a 5 star if the fee was a low one-time cost to download more...like the free stuff tho.Version: 1.14

Are only rich people sad? I thought I’d be the opposite.Being mental health awareness month I was really hoping some, maybe one? Of these apps would give away a free annual subscription or something. Nope. This one really caught my eye and I Beas very excited, like many others until I saw the price. Do you think people struggling with severe depression, agoraphobia-ha when the world tells you to isolate and extreme anxiety has stacks on stacks to throw at therapy? Not your fault-at some point in time, if we’d like to survive our morals have to be stronger than our greed. (Again in general, not you.) I was really hopeful to find a therapist that took insurance or wasn’t 19/Mnth..Version: 2.10.9

Lost Me At HelloAs soon as an app forces me to SIGN UP with Facebook (I gave up Facebook long ago and would never go back) or give my email... it’s over. I can kind of understand if I decided to purchase the full version, but until I have been able to at least try the trial version of an app I am not giving out any personal info. Just a warning to those of you who do not care for giving out your info to just anyone. Like I don’t get enough spam already...sheesh. (If course I keep extra emails for such situations. I would never give my main email address that I use for banking etc to any app EVER) Bye bye *UNINSTALLED*.Version: 2.6.4

Like but limited and priceyI like the introduction I've had to the app so far although it is quite limited. I also find it a little hard to navigate with not very clear explanations of what each section is and does. Despite this, i like the premise and fun little games and was keen to sign up for the whole thing but not at a monthly payment scheme. Think this would put a lot of ppl off, can't see how it's a) worth an ongoing fee and b) the amount in total that it is for an app. I certainly don't want yet another payment coming out of my account every week/month. Think if you changed the purchasing to a fixed once off fee to have access to all content you'd have more success..Version: 1.16

Hard to navigateLots of really good stuff but it is so difficult to find anything. Needs a search bar or a less complicated layout.Version: 2.8.1

Too ExpensiveMight be a good app but the cost is ridiculously high. Especially considering it is meant to make people happy the cost is depressing 😞.Version: 2.0.9

Could make your life happifiedIf the app was better structured and laid out. Some of the tasks and 'games' are really useful, the initial quiz is very effective for some self-reflection. It could be considerably more user-friendly: clearer targets for completing your track; everything in one place rather than tabs here, there and everywhere. If everything is available under the '...' tab why do you need the home, rainbow & sunshine signs? It seems convoluted. The idea behind the app is excellent and obviously I'm grateful there's a free version, it just needs to be more streamlined..Version: 1.13

SubscriptionI liked the look of your app and wanted to have further access, so I requested monthly instalments. Instead you charged me for an entire year and then iTunes told me a refund couldn't be provided. I don't see how unclear subscription options and taking my money I supposed to help my track 'coping with stress'. I would have recommended your app, but now I'm just going to tell everyone not to use it because you've ripped me off..Version: 1.16

ConfusedI like the idea of this app but find it very confusing to navigate and seem to go round in circles which only adds to my anxieties.Version: 2.3.0

Good idea just wish additional access cheaperLove the idea of this and am definitely enjoying parts of it but it is expensive to get full access.Version: 1.11

Loved it at first, bit glitchy nowI found happify a while ago & it's really been a good app to help me on my life journey. However, I don't know if it relates to Apple updates or what but I do find the app freezes a lot now on both iPhone & iPad so it frustrates me to use it. I've tried deleting it then downloading again. I really hope the makers do something to fix it as its a paid app & had been working well.Version: 1.17

GarbageGreat in theory, poorly implemented in practice. Extremely buggy and the interactive conversation mode is very poorly written. Deleting your account requires you to access their website instead of through the app which seems like they are trying to prevent you from deleting your account. Even if you delete it, they retain your personal information unless you specifically email them requesting deletion. Look elsewhere..Version: 2.9.3

Ok but...I like the premise behind it, what you can access for free is enjoyable. However, I do find it slightly unsettling that they have put a price on happiness (I think that is actually one of the tag lines somewhere). That, for me, is slightly dangerous ground to go down, the idea that if you don't pay, you'll never be truly happy. Sure, drugs, therapy and counselling in the UK can be paid for, but we also have the NHS which provides all these services free of charge. So paying to be "cured" IMHO is fundamentally wrong as a business model, and offers people false hope, where more traditional routes are available. I'm sure some people rely on this app, and good for them, and I hope they get out of it what they need..Version: 1.15

Not amazingOn a technical side, this app is pretty much garbage. But hey, it’s a mindfulness app- it doesn’t have to look amazing. But considering that this mindfulness app with terrible graphics and copycat games wants to bill your every action with a repeated fee for “free” content that’s meant to be helping you, I can’t say I’m impressed. Nothing break through, most of this stuff you could study for yourself online elsewhere and the “scientifically backed games” probably aren’t going to change your life, especially since they block you around level two. Also the sweepstakes are nothing short of shady..Version: 2.6.6

Too much in app purchasingHard to review when in order to progress you are constantly presented with upgrades. When dealing with stress and anxiety forcing choices seems counter productive.Version: 2.2.10

Like the content, some issues with accessI paid for premium for a year because I was really enjoying the games and activities, but I find that when it's time for a 'checkin', I can't always choose the answers I want, and it quite often freezes on this bit. I also have trouble with freezing on the serenity scenes..Version: 1.21

Stressing me outI had high hopes for Happify, but, so far, it’s stressing me out. Imposing deadlines I never meant to put in myself by challenging me to do something nice for someone is stressful. The words in the “uplift” game that are supposed to be empowering and uplifting are sometimes actually unattainable ideals and/or things some people don’t aspire to (I don’t want to be “perky,” for instance. That’s not my personality. I am happy, and pleasant, and even outgoing, but not perky). Some people reading these words won’t feel uplifted so much as invalidated. Words like “peace,” “calm” and “uplift” were fine. When the game got too cluttered, again, it was just stressful, because I couldn’t read anything. The reminders from Happify of what I am supposed to be doing on the app, the little icon that shows my mood, and tools that measure my progress ~ all of this would be great, if it was designed to make sure the user easily maintained upward movement, but it’s not. It’s all extremely pressuring and stressful, in my opinion. It feels more like a challenge I am trying to meet than an app that is supposed to help me feel better..Version: 2.7.4

Have to buy inFree version gives a taster but for real benefit no choice but to 'buy in'. Agree with previous comments that app isn't well laid out, track paths and progress not clear. Would be good if it sent notifications to remind or inspire everyday to compete tasks. Love the simplicity yet detail of savour quest. Don't have enough quiet time or the insight into meditation/mindfulness to benefit from the serenity scenes. Something like headspace app better for this. Only a week in so can't yet comment on benefit but at least so far giving me something positive to do when feeling down.Version: 1.13

Complements the websiteI mostly use happify through the website, and the app is generally good as a supplement to that. However there are some glitches - eg, the app doesn't always show my recent progress (if it was done on the website), the "save for later" doesn't work if I save on the app then try to finish on the website. Apart from stuff like that, it seems pretty decent though!.Version: 1.13
