✓ There is a but...This app is hilarious and definitely makes you want to come back to it (whoever heard of WANTING to workout?!). There are however a few things about it that are not so great. The actual workout: The first time that I completed this workout, I felt great… Until the next day. I was quite sore and could barely move around without hurting myself. The workout was amazing otherwise. The money situation: I figured out a few days after using this app that you can only do one workout every single day, meaning that the only workout that the app comes with is the 7 Minutes in Hell workout unless you want to pay for more. I found that quite disappointing, since I had to pay $3.99 for the app in the first place. Apparently all of the CARROT³ apps are this much, and I haven't downloaded in any of the other ones since I have a feeling that they will be quite disappointing as well. ✓ More of a gimmick than a workout appTried it a couple of times but seems there are only 12 different exercises. They are basically standard exercises with silly names. There are plenty of other free apps which have a much more varied workouts than this one..Version: 4.1.2
✓ Almost the bestGreat sense of humour, awesome geekiness but... Ruined by high price+in store purchase. Problems with weight-in module. First weigh in in kg, switched to lbs. second weigh-in reset my first. Then on my third, went over to my diet tracker and every time I do that carrot registers a new weigh in. I also think it doubled my exercise. The part angry part self-deprecating ui is easy to emphasize with..Version: 3.3
✓ Constantly blocking functionalityI get the level up ode but hiding features behind it is really irritating. like I can't use the step counter until I weigh myself some more. uh, no, I'll just use an app that does what I paid for out of the box, thanks. design is cute and all but took the gamification thing way too far. the To Do list app is really egregious in this regard. it hassles you to buy "upgrades" to provide functionality that is advertised. Unethical at best. To the devs, please, cosmetic and fun stuff is fine to wall off. Basic functions are not. Feel like a chump for buying into the hype..Version: 3.3
✓ Watch app is buggyI bought this app specifically for Apple Watch functionality, and it’s less than stellar. You can’t customize the lengths of the workouts, even though there’s an option to do so. Swiping or scrolling with the Digital Crown doesn’t seem to make a difference. The rings around workouts that tell you length of time are also generally unreliable. The workouts themselves are great, and the concept is amusing, but it’s disappointing that this app doesn’t work as well as it should, especially for the price..Version: 4.0.5
✓ Fun and addictive but has a few flawsThis app is so fun! It makes you laugh when all you want to do is scream. My favorite quote is "are you mad at nature for what it did to you?" The big issue I see are; 1. It doesn't allow for different levels of fitness. The workout is always the same. If you can't do one of the one it lists there is no way to take it out. For example; I can't do a push-up. I work around it by doing "girl push-ups" but still. 2. It only comes with one workout. You have to pay 1.99 for any others or to change how hard the workout is..Version: 4.0.3
✓ Not Accessible FriendlyI absolutely adore this app. It’s funny and enjoyable to work out to. Unfortunately, I have been trying to improve my fitness whilst waiting for wrist surgery so I am limited with what exercises I can do. Every other exercise app I have downloaded let’s me make exercises that work for me but this one doesn’t. I thought it might have more exercises and freedom to the workout if I bought the extra exercises but it didn’t. So I’ve spent nearly £8 on this app in the hope that I could use it properly and I still can’t. This is the most expensive app I have ever bought and the least helpful towards my situation. If they improved the exercises and gave you more options, it would be brilliant. But at the minute (even with the expansion pack), you can only choose from 24 moves and you can’t even order them yourself. You get to choose between two moves at a time and that’s it. Pretty rubbish for an app this expensive. Whoever made the animations though, you are a god among men..Version: 4.1.2

✓ Not updated for iPhone X, heart rate data insufficient for Activity AppWhile the robot voice is funny, it stopped doing pretty much any dialog after the first workout I completed. The app hasn’t been updated for iPhone X screen dimensions still... 3 months after the phone launched. If I open up the Activity app for the Apple Watch on my iPhone, I’m able to see “7 Minutes In Hell” recorded as a workout in there, however under Heart Rate, it says “Chart Unavailable. There were not enough heart measurements to create a chart.” This tells me that your app isn’t taking heart rate readings through the Apple Watch frequently enough during the workout. Having to pay extra $ to unlock more content inside the app I already paid for is just unfair to customers. If you’re already getting revenue from the app purchased, why are you limiting features inside until a customer pays more to unlock them? I will update my review to reflect any changes you make to the app with regards to my criticism..Version: 4.0.3
✓ No sound and no support!I bought this app as I fancied being shouted at whilst exercising to keep me going, but I can’t get any sound no matter what settings I try. I have emailed support a number of times, just to be ignored. The exercises are good, but with no sound, they become boring quickly. Very disappointing!.Version: 4.0.5
✓ No more pointI used to get level up points for my workouts outside of the app. Now it just lists the workouts and often does not have the calories burned. So the fun and tracking this app once provided are now gone. I will probably delete it soon since other apps track everything correctly. ✓ Good, but Aggravating in One AreaLove the funny exercises, the commentary, and the set up. BUT every time I try to set a reminder, the App crashes and I can’t do it. This is mostly the reason I got this app was that it would send reminders on my Apple Watch and yet that’s the one thing that is super glitchy..Version: 4.1.5
✓ ComplicationsBought this to try because of the positive reviews AND to have an extra complication on Carrot Weather, which I love. Yet there is no Fit complication for the infograph faces, only one Carrot complication option displays on the infograph faves. On the old faces it only shows the Fit icon in the complication but won’t change to display an extra weather. Requested a refund since 1/2 the reason I bought this was for weather but that was denied. Don’t buy this if one of your reasons is to have an extra weather complication as it doesn’t work..Version: 4.0.5
✓ Makes you sweaty I guess!I don’t think this app is worth £4.99 tbh. If it was free and you paid £1.99 for the extras or the extras were included in the price it would be way better. Despite inputting your measurements there isn’t any tailoring to level or experience, it really is just those 12 exercises and customising the order involves buying the extras. So if you’re a newbie some of it will seem very difficult but if you’re experienced it could seem very easy. The robot is funnier than I thought it would be but I think it’s best material was used in the first workout I did when it’s explaining the moves. Afterwards it’s just quippy. The app does its job in making you sweaty and using different parts of the body but so could a free HIIT app..Version: 4.1.5

✓ Love it, but I have a few problems..First of all carrot keeps detecting workouts every other hour, sometimes every other minute, where is it getting its data from? I've progressed to level 11 without actually doing any exercise. Also it tells me I've lost 3.2 pounds overall, but then when I go onto the actual weight chart window it tells me I've lost 5.2 pounds, why the difference in data? I love this app, it just seems a tad glitchy right now..Version: 3.1.7

✓ Apple Watch app no longer worksI’ve been using Carrot Fit for iPhone and Apple Watch for five years, so I must love it. However, as of watchOS 9.3, the Watch app no longer works. I’ve written multiple times to Carrot support, and have gotten zero replies. I’m not sure Carrot supports this app any longer. So far it still works on my iPhone running iOS 16.3, but I’m missing the watch’s heart rate monitoring during workouts..Version: 4.1.6
✓ My fault for purchasingI have a disability. I thought this was going to be a fun beginners workout, and I can physically walk and even exercise a bit although it feels like my body is being ripped apart, but I cannot jump. It said I needed a chair to jump on? My vertical is 1". And I'm so fat, if I jumped in the house I'd end up in the basement. It would probably register as a 5.0 earthquake.
