✓ I love this app! Newest update is annoying and frustrating!Like other reviewers, I absolutely love this app. I don’t really play games on my phone, but this app gets a lot of my attention. It’s thoughtfully designed, the puzzles are the right level of challenging, and the interface is clean and easy. The newest update is driving me crazy though! The pulsing dark shading on the square you’ve selected makes it very difficult to see any notes you’ve made and removing the horizontal and vertical highlighting is now less intuitive. Also, it used to subtly shade all other numbers on the board that correspond with the number you’ve selected (select 4, all 4s on the board are shaded). This is no longer here, either. Super frustrating! At the very least, give us the ability to toggle these settings on or off so we can customize the experience. I just stopped halfway through a game in frustration so I could write this review and it’s the first app review I’ve ever written! 5-star app all the way, but I’m taking one star off because of these changes..Version: 2.0

Two issues I’d note: I’d prefer some indication each time of where I stood. I assume that sometimes my times are too slow to be included in average (although wonder about this when I have Masters games <12 minutes). But in any case, would prefer to know — something like: ‘the average time x people completed this game was y’ When you discard a puzzle for whatever reason, that puzzle comes up again in the the next few. I don’t think it’s cheating when you occasionally check your answers because everyone has this privilege so it doesn’t affect the statistics. One drawback in my opinion is that you can’t go back to check how you did on a puzzle if you accidentally leave the page. I keep record of my good ones but sometimes I can’t. ✓ Best sudoku I've seenI've downloaded and removed a lot of sudoku apps and this is by far the best (and the only one I've kept). The squares are clear, the figures are a good size, there's no background clutter and there are hundreds of games at several levels. Just one tiny amendment would make it perfect- I mainly play at medium level and would like to be able to clear all played games at that level and start again. Or have the ability to replay a single/random game I've already played. At the moment I can only do this by removing then reinstalling the app, which clears all levels. Given my love of the game I've done this twice already! Easily still worth five stars though..Version: 1.3

The latest update created a lot of grumble from users including me and the app was quickly reverted to its previous version, which is great! Lots of puzzles, plenty to keep me busy on my commute for months to come, and it has the most simple and user friendly design of all the sudoku apps out there. The ads are not too in your face and as long as you can pay to have them removed, it's not too bad. This app has 6 levels of difficulty so you will probably be able to find something to suit your level. The hardest level is still solvable and I haven’t yet come across one I couldn’t finish, but they definitely take a good 30-40 minutes for me. One negative is that you don’t get personal bests! You can tap a number once and it will appear as a note in the corner of the chosen box which comes in handy when figuring out possible combinations, and you can fit all 9 numbers in there if needed! Double tap for your number to be chosen as the final answer and you are able to see when you have completed a row, column or square since it flashes in black! It will highlight your mistakes if you wish to see them and can help you realise where you went wrong! Many many puzzles to complete, many different levels and I love how you can see your times compared to that of the average of the public! ✓ Landscape mode, please.Great game, however, the lack of landscape mode on iPad means I have to hold the iPad in portrait mode with both hands to play. This becomes uncomfortable after a while. I prefer being able to use the iPad with its Smart Cover case on a side table (or plane meal table) and play without supporting the iPad on my hands.
