One Minute Changes for Positive User Reviews

Great ToolI heard about this while doing Justin's course. It changed the way I do my chord changes and keeps me honest about sticking to the time. The pressure of having a timer forces me to pick up the speed and in the few days I've using the app, I can really notice a big improvement. Thanks Justin for all your hard work and dedication..Version: 1.0

Cracking appInitially I did not use the app as felt no need but one day had a go with it as part of my practice routine. Have to say a good simple app. I did not think you could save the scores which I thought made it pointless but then had a look at reviews here advising to press play after finishing. Be good if it saved it automatically at end of countdown if it was a higher score..Version: 2.25

A must haveFantastic app.Version: 1.0

Handy practice appA nice handy app to help with practicing chord changes. Dropping 1 star as it would be nice if my score synced over iCloud so I can see my scores on all my devices..Version: 2.18

From a complete new bee 🐝Just getting started and have found Justin’s style of teaching works excellent for my particular style of learning and pace preferences. His chord change app has been really helpful. I am so grateful I have found this and just started using it 2X a day. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.Version: 2.25

Great app, some suggestionsI really like this app, especially the option to focus on problematic chords. Here are some suggestions for future versions. - It would be good if the problematic chords would include combinations I haven't played yet. Alternatively it would be good to be able to manually select a combination to practice because some combinations don't seem to come up in random mode, at least not yet. - the app doesn't keep the screen from timing out. If the screen times out in 1 minute which I believe is the default the screen sometimes turns off before the timer reaches zero and it stops counting down. - it would be awesome if the app could recognize a strum so that it could count the number of chord changes automatically. :) I sometimes mess up my counting while playing. - there seems to be a bug. My lowest scoring combination is A-D but it doesn't come up if I select problematic chords. I would definitely pay for this app!.Version: 1.0

Two Needed Changes1. I have on phone and iPad but have to enter new chords on each. 2. I like that I can add chords but it really needs a full library. 3. Allow you to edit chords after they are entered into the library. I have made a few boo boos that I need to correct but I can’t, frustrating..Version: 2.25

Really helpfulI love that the app challenges me to practice all the different chord changes. The dictionary is great. I’d like the app even more if it tracked the dates and scores so I could see my progress. Also if I could hold the plus button to record higher numbers faster..Version: 2.00

Great way to keep track of progressThis app is much more convenient than writing down what chord you played and how many changes you made. Having it randomly choose from the chords you've told the app you know keeps you from choosing "easy" changes. Thanks Justin!.Version: 1.0

Mostly wonderfulI think it’s a great app and beautifully designed. I like that I can add chords to the library as need to I learn them. Personally, I’m glad that the library is not too extensive so you don’t have to spend a lot of time searching through and just focusing on the chords you want. I might’ve missed something, but I don’t see a way to remove a chord from the library. The only other issue I see is that once I shut the app, it does not remember the cords that I was working on so I have to re-select them each time. That aside, I think the app is brilliant and very helpful for beginning guitar players such as myself. Thanks Justin!.Version: 2.25

Total home runSo far I’ve only used this app for two practice sessions. I’ve been working through the beginner course and now to the point of working on getting all my cord changes to 60 in a minute. I was tracking this just using the iPhone timer and pencil/paper but this app makes the whole process much more efficient so I end up getting to practice many more chord changes in the same practice session and can track the results is awesome. Having the cord chart right there for reference is another bonus especially just starting to learn the chord I found I ended up having to refer back to the section in the book to make sure I got it right. As someone who started with right hand guitar and switched to playing left handed I also appreciate that in the settings you can enable left handed mode so the chord charts are mirrored. I ended up not using it but I may be in the minority as to me it makes sense to look at the right handed chord chart and just flip it in my head - your results may very. All in all an invaluable tool to add to your practice routine which is definitely not a distraction. Highly recommend this app..Version: 2.18

Excellent practice toolGreat tool. Employed as part of my regular practice routine each couple of days and quickly seeing the results..Version: 2.25

Almost PerfectOnly given it 4 stars as it does not add up the chord changes for you if it did it would be perfect fora beginner like me and I would be happy to pay for it..Version: 2.25

Brilliant appThis is a free app, it provides the chord charts for you and you just count as you go and enter the tallyat the end. Dont cheat, femember you’re building muscle memory so take itas slow as you need to. You’ll be able to see your improvement. As you advance you can add chords to the chord bank too..Version: 2.25

One minute geniusAs usual Justin's come up trumps with another great designed app to help with those troublesome chord changes. 5*.Version: 1.0

Great for Chord PracticeI really like this app. It is great. I just wish you could select chords you want to work on from the score menu. I like working on my slowest chords. Also I added a chord and even though I deleted it it comes back when I restart the app. Ghost chords..Version: 2.25

I like itI found this app very helpful and it was free you can't complain really the score thing could be better I will be using this app a lot. And his website is great to justinguitar.Version: 1.0

Clean, good app for what it needs to doIt’s easy to use, clean interface. Usability is not amazing, but it’s free! One request: add option to delete or modify a previous score. I mistakenly added 302 chord changes instead of 30, and since then it’s 302 has always been my high score :(.Version: 2.25

Tracking changesI thought then app would track the changes for me, since it's hard for me to count and keep changing but if all your looking for is a timer this is a great app..Version: 1.0

Great app for great practice exerciseThis app is intuitive to use and makes Justin's favorite chord practice method really easy to do and track progress over time. Highly recommended..Version: 1.0

Life saverExtremely helpful and handy..Version: 1.0

Minor change/fixI can hear it when the timer starts but alas when the 60 second timer is up, I can’t hear the audio alert. Maybe a setting option so I can set the type alert for start and end. I admit I am hard of hearing and do wear hearing aids..Version: 2.25

Neat, simple, worksI’ve started using this, it’s a really good tool to fit into daily practice, be nice if it came with a comprehensive dictionary of chords but that doesn’t really matter so much if you know the main chords. Keep up the good work !.Version: 2.25

A great App to support a great practice drillThe one minute changes has really helped to sharpen my chord changes but I had to mess around printing out sheets write them down to record times etc. It will randomly select chords of your choice or focus on problem chords based on latest scores. With a countdown timer & countdown to start all you have to do is count your chord changes, quickly enter them then move on to next one. It's perfect for the practicing. For those that are disappointed it doesn't auto count I understand but then I know better if I have made a smooth change or not..Version: 1.0

Very usefulGreat app. Does exactly what it supposed to. Makes it easy to follow progress.Version: 2.18

Fantastic tool for beginners.Great little app to keep you motivated by letting you see your improvement from attempt to attempt, a must for beginners..Version: 2.25

Simple and effectiveGreat companion app for Justin's virtual students in the beginner or intermediate courses..Version: 1.0

Very effective learning toolThis app really helps keep track of your progress on chord changes. Definitely better than writing it on paper!.Version: 1.0

Great appThis app is awesome for practicing chord changes..Version: 2.18

Still buggy but worth it anywayThis is so close to being perfect. But not quite there yet.Version: 2.18

Great mateThis is great, thanks Justin. I love it. Only minor change I would like is to have a user controlled default setting for volume..Version: 1.0

Not just a One minute practiceWow! I have been using Justin Guitar to relearn guitar an have done these one minutes changes exercise the last couple years. I’ll use this to generate a random pair, then I’ll try building a cool rhythm... it just an all around cool little app that can improve anyone’s skills. “ it’s cranked to 11!”🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸.Version: 2.18

Nice for one minute changes.Wish. It would keep track of the scores / records of one minute changes so as to know how progress has been during app use..Version: 2.18

Now I can add my own chords!I hadn’t used this app in a couple years but I was having problems with some advanced chord shapes. With the added feature it really is a great app for practicing and advancing..Version: 2.25

Great toolNice tool to track progress for beggining guitarists learning chords..Version: 1.0

Focus!!!I’ve been using many teachers, presentations, books and styles for years.. but recently I started to focus more on Justin’s style. I’m somewhere around intermediate (what is a “level” anyway?😀😀❤️🎶) but I’ve found that going back to basics can really help the fundamentals of your play.. dynamics, strumming patterns, bass lines on EAD etc.. This little app is great for channeling your beat improvement as well as your accuracy.. fast. The real beauty is that you can add in your own chords... especially barre chords... fantastic to be able to zip up to Bm on the 7th to an open C7.. over and over without missing a beat.Version: 2.25

So usefullExcellent app for practicing chord changes. Really functional. Get it..Version: 2.18

Major improvements!I just discovered that the two greatest shortcomings of this app have been fixed—the timer sound is now loud enough to hear, and you can hold your finger down on the count “counter” to jump up by large increments instead of having to tap it 50 times. Also it’s showing my previous high count which I could never figure out how to see before on my iPhone. Thanks for the efforts! A very nice app now, great for building up my speed..Version: 2.18

BrilliantGreat for doing a few minutes of chord changes every day to warm up and strengthen my fingers. Amazing to see how scores improve as days go by..Version: 2.25

HelpfulI've integrated it into my practice routine. Very handy, thank you much, Justin!.Version: 1.0

Really cool appReally cool app, great help for the one minute changes, I always intend to practice them but this encourages it. Love the chord dictionary especially being able to add chords. Only bug is not being able to title slash chords as such..Version: 2.18

Amazing!!I love this app, it is very helpful in practicing chord changes and I don’t know what I would do without it. However I have also run into a minor problem, when creating a new chord, it doesn’t allow special characters like “/“ which I use for slash chords. Its a very small detail and it doesn’t really matter but again, thank you so much Justin!!!!.Version: 2.18

Very HelpfulAny little tools to help out learners are great - and these are free, so how anyone can vote them down is beyond me. Be thankful there's someone willing to help and not charge you for it!.Version: 1.0
