✓ Regret apply updateI AirPlay WRC+ from my iPhone to my Apple TV. Worked fine until today’s update. Now if it works at all it crashes when you attempt to fast forward, has no sound or jumps from where it was playing to live. Makes my All Live subscription nearly unusable. ✓ Good for race time.It’s decent to watch live races but that’s about it. Biggest problem imo is that the full screen button in rally tv doesn’t work. It just stays on the 1/3 screen and it’s hard to see what’s actually happening..Version: 2.1.16
✓ Lots of problemsSince WRC introduced this new app I have had nothing but problems especially with the TV app which has no sound when you try to watch it. Such a shame as it’s great coverage I have emailed support but you get nowhere and apparently they can’t give refunds even though all the problems are there fault!. ✓ Not great, terrible refund policyI got the subscription just to try it and found that it didn’t work well with my chromecast, plus it’s nearly impossible to watch rallies live in the North America due to timing issues. ✓ Technical problem after Australia 1st stageOnce reaching to Australia stages, after finishing the first stage and starting second stage the game automatically exit from the App, I deleted the app and redownlod it again and the same problem. ✓ Rubbish !The old WRC app was much better than this offering. Whilst the content may be ok, getting logged on and then accessing the content is a lottery. The layout and format are much more difficult to navigate than previously and there seems to be less information accessible - or perhaps I just have’t found it yet!! ✓ IPhone XI just paid for the WRC+ Live subscription and would love some updates for the iPhone X. Very buggy and slow. The live maps are unresponsive (3 days before a race) as well as other features like a majority of the arrow buttons don’t give an action when clicked (404 error). A huge overhaul of this app would be sick and I would definitely pay the annual subscription fees for the services. I don’t want to be forced to use my windows laptop for an app that has serious potential! Get a new data team 😉.Version: 1.4.5

✓ Somehow worse than the WRC app wasSecond rally I’ve watched, or tried to watch, in the Rally TV app; second time stages have been missing on the replay. For Greece it would randomly tell me I had no permission or just now show stages. For Chile today the whole of Friday afternoon has disappeared just as I finished watching SS5. ✓ Big joke !!!!This application is a big joke when I'm watching a rally, I have a problem switching the screen to TV. Now I got a error and I can't watch rally. ✓ Poor designI find the app not very intuitive and only works on iPhone. Despite saying it runs on tablets, it’s only the iPhone version and looks rubbish. When a stage is running only get the actual stage times you can’t see the overall standing despite a tab to select, which doesn’t work. For some reason found the live stage also only worked on the iPhone, and not my iPad or laptop.Version: 1.4.4

✓ Don’t pay for All Live, it won’t workEvery single rally I curse my decision to pay for All Live. When it works it is ok, but 90% of the time it doesn’t work properly and the web developers just seem to have been very busy finding new ways of making it work on fewer and fewer devices. Haven’t managed to watch a rally without huge frustration yet, even to the point that customer service no longer respond to support emails..Version: 1.6.2
✓ Slow, Overcomplicated and unpredictable.The app works most of the time, but occasionally will fail to load articles or quiz results for example. Using a notification prompt to open the app never seems to link to the related content, simply resumes the app wherever it was last used. The app itself isn’t very phone friendly, in the sense there are too many little menus and/or options taking up the screen all at once. The Home Screen being the biggest offender. I think it would be better suited for things such as drop down menus etc, in order to have a cleaner and easier experience when being used on limited screen space such as a phone. On my tablet, the app has never managed to load a live stream. Even on the desktop website, WRC is frustrating to navigation and is very slow to load video content. As a WRC+ Subscriber, it is quite frustrating to use both the app and the website with this many issues. My experience thus far has lead to my decision to cancel my subscription at the conclusion of this season. A real shame to pay so much and be consistently frustrated..Version: 2.1.6

✓ Video? Not if you’re connected to Bluetooth.Updated app for 2020. Will they improve their godawful server issues? Well .... I’m not sure because they’ve got themselves a brand new problem. If you’ve got Bluetooth headphones connected, the app thinks you’re casting video to something and therefore won’t display video. The only way to get video to display when listening via Bluetooth headphones is to use the pop-out video button..Version: 2.0.1
✓ Pointless App - Bring Back WRC AppAs someone who has the stages live on BT Sports, why would I pay and subscribe for something I already have? ✓ A Load op Cr*pSomebody should show these guys what a rally is all about, because it’s obvious they don’t have a clue. Trying to find the progress of a particular car, outside of the top 40, or class group is well nigh impossible. Maybe their paid version works, but count me out for even trying this out. ✓ Almost too broken to useWant to text someone while you’re watching a stage? Sucks, window closes and starts you from the beginning. Want to see telemetry? Sucks, you don’t have a choice of when that shows up. Want to just listen to the cars and drivers? Sucks, no way to mute the announcers. ✓ Can’t watch even after paying $87 for a subscription.I trusted the app to work, since other FIA series apps (like F1TV), well, actually work. I made an account and purchased a “Season Pass” for $87. When I try to watch a video, the app tells me that I don’t have an active subscription, and asks me to buy it again. I’ve checked in my iPhone settings - the subscription is there. Out of curiosity, I clicked the button that would buy the subscription again, and I was given a pop-up saying “You already have this subscription”. Updated the app, and still no dice. It’s nearly impossible to scrub forward and backward, PIP doesn’t work outside the app, the app video’s audio track starts randomly playing in the background when connecting/disconnecting. ✓ Suboptimal presentation of amazing contentPlease consider providing longer length (90-120 min) highlights video of the WRC events. The current offerings don’t do these justice and there is so much unnecessary repetition in the daily highlight videos which makes them a pain to watch. ✓ This app is killing the WRC for its fans.Rally fans want to follow there beloved sport they cant travel to every rally around the world so they need information this app don’t give us that. The old app had its problems but at least you could follow the rally stage by stage car by car with the text updates and then jump to the live stage split times, now you get nothing videos that don’t work and no live updates. I am losing interest in the WRC if this is how they treat us fans there is no point investing money and emotion in it. ✓ Not acceptable for priceSince last update. Crashes constantly opening a video so it’s unusable. On my iPhone 14 Pro it will open it but it cannot replay the stream of the stage in HD. ✓ Subscription System is RubbishWhile the app does provide adequate information on the championship the WRC+ subscription system just does not work. DO NOT USE IT UNLESS YOU WANT A LOAD OF HASSLE. This is not Apples fault it is the app provider who say they have no way of knowing what subscriptions have been taken out via Apple so they do not grant you access. And then it takes a lot of emails for you to prove you have paid before they give you manual access. This is not the first time I have had this problem. I suspect the reason for this is that the WRC Promoter GmbH do not want to pay Apple a percentage for the service provided so they effectively don’t have any system to link to App payments and you have to go through their website to register. However, as with many other reviewers, getting it to work is awful. I have never been able to log in without having to have the password reset and often even this does not work. ✓ Service is great when the authorisation worksThe content ; live streaming and playback as live, on board cameras and highlights packages are all brilliant. But the login is so flaky. Many times I get interrupted by an error box claiming multiple sessions or a need to logon or upgrade. Trying to logon again is thwarted by a box saying I am not logged in! ✓ Airplay doesn’t work. Spoils results of rally.Nearly pointless to watch a rally in Europe when I’m in the States on this app because the 1st thing I’ll see when I open it are the results. Even when choosing Live straight away, I’m presented with the rally winner. F1 & MotoGP have simple but effective means to hide the results. I know a bit about programming and imagine it would take less than a day to build a toggle into the app. Rallies are no longer available to watch a week out from the prior rally onward. I’ve paid for the season, I’d like to watch when time permits. Again, other racing apps allow it. Airplay doesn’t work. It will send the sound but no video. Attempting to connect Bluetooth headphones including AirPods requires restarting app. Thanks for fixing the AirPod issue. They had been coming up as a screen a la Airplay. I’ll throw down a star for it. Coverage is fantastic. Commentators are top notch and handle long delays, changing conditions, etc. I don’t see myself re-upping next year..Version: 2.1.2

✓ Disappointing experienceThis is my first year subscribing to WRC and will most likely be my last. I subscribed to be able to watch the stages and having a busy life doesn’t allow me to watch all the stages before they are removed from the live area while only a handful are left to replay. The highlights they keep don’t interest me. I subscribed to watch the stages not the highlights. I can get all the highlights I want without having to pay for a subscription by checking my social media. The stages are what matters. That’s why all this exists in the first place. I guess they’ve lost sight of that. As far as the app goes, the navigation needs serious work. Many places offer no way to go back one screen without starting over from the home section. That makes for a very poor user experience. These things are bare minimum requirements which should be met first. It’s the foundation everything is built around. None of this would exist without it, so please give the important things some attention then work on the extras..Version: 2.1.17

✓ Crashes A lotConsidering this is a paid for service you would think some effort would be made to make their customers happy this app crashes constantly, even crashed when trying to write this review. Keeps coming up with the message too many successive login attempts even when you’ve only just opened it and can pop up half way through watching. You then have to shut down the app open it again and find where u were again, it doesn’t keep your session. When it works Its great but needs bugs fixing, developers don’t seem to look at feedback, I have even emailed them about an issue and no one bothered to get back to me. If the internet slows, it freezes and when it begins playing again gives me an error that there are too many users logged into my account. I only have the app, I’m the only user. ✓ TerribleAs a brand new launched platform rally TV just does not deliver. I primarily watch World Rallycross but now have to subscribe to everything (twice the cost) but now the WRX app has closed and everything moved to rally TV nothing works. And now, with its third update in a few days, you try to log into the app and it asks you to verify your password via an email they send. ✓ Consistently Unreliable.I’ve been using the WRC apps for years. The content is fine although the All Live goes offline rather than covering the later cars. The app itself is the problem. Current problem for me is the screen orientation. On full screen the screen had been flipping the wrong way up so that the volume buttons are inaccessible and the folding cover will not support the tablet. Now when selecting full screen the image turns 90 degrees which is even worse..Version: 2.1.10

I wish we were able to download the app on all smart TVs and the app to be simplified instead of so many menus on the screen. ✓ Great content terrible appThe Coverage is fantastic when the app is working but every rally there’s signing in issues with various devices not letting you access the all live content so you spend most the weekend complaining via emails trying to get your access back rather then actually watching live content you’ve paid a fortune for. I also have a pet gripe that the previous versions would let you re watch the onboards on the TV apps but now they’ve been removed and you can only watch them on desktop which I don’t do, I predominantly watch on my TV so now I am missing out on content, I used to love going back and watching at least 1 onboard of every stage but now I can’t because they’ve removed them. I am a massive WRC fan and it pains me that I’ve had to cancel my subscription because I can’t handle the frustration of seeing the wrong license errors every time I settle in to watch a stage. I’ve been subscribed since they very first released it years ago but it’s just not feasible anymore with the state of the app and at over a tenner a month for 1 or 2 rally’s i except to actually be able to watch. ✓ Downloads pleaseI love the wrc and this app is the most direct access to watching, these days. I like the idea that i can catch up whenever i want. The problem is that the reality doesn’t live up to the idea! ✓ Stop spoiling the damn results!This applies to the Apple app and also the smart TV app. Not everyone gets to watch every event live. Some of us (especially on the other side of the world) are working, sleeping, whatever else when stages are running. In these circumstances, I love to watch the daily highlights or if I have time, to watch some stages when I get a chance to catch up. On both apps, it’s almost impossible to get to the highlight or stage videos without seeing the results first. This is really annoying and takes away some of the excitement or surprise element of watching. Yes, it’s awesome to be able to get up to date info and results when you want them, but you need to make options for those who want to watch the videos without seeing the results first. ✓ Spoilers galore and AirPlay brokenI absolutely love my WRC+ Subscription because it contain so much great content but the App is awfully TERRIBLE. Spoils you the results as soon as you open it so it's only really good if you're watching it live. For highlights there is zero chance to not be spoiled as you have to navigate through the app and it constantly shows the final result. Also AirPlay is completely broken for this app with my iPhone 13 Pro running IOS15 and Roku. All other apps work fine, it's Judy the WRC one that is broken. Really for the $12 a month subscription that we pay we should have a MUCH better app that is better suited for people who can't necessarily watch every stage of every rally live. How about a spoiler free option in the app or at least have a way of watching the event highlights without stumbling upon the name of all the winners. MotoGP seems to be the benchmark for motor sports streaming with a spoiler free page and timeslip etc. Not everyone is watching live so please just have an events highlights option without telling me who won it. Also, the audio regularly goes out of sync with the video. WRC is charging the same as other streaming apps but it feels a distinctly low budget experience. ✓ AirPod pros and hide resultsUnable to use my AirPod pro with this app. It thinks it’s a streaming device and doesn’t display any video on my phone thinking the AirPod pro is a video device. ✓ Garbage streaming qualityAlmost bought a year but tried a month instead. Thank the lord I did - video streaming from the 90s over dialup provided a better viewing experience than this. ✓ Not worth the moneyThe interface keeps changing each week with app updates and is still difficult to navigate. I was not able to watch all of the Monte Carlo “live” stage videos before Finland started and now they have simply disappeared once Finland rally began, only the highlight videos are available. Only historical videos before 2021 work on Apple TV device, the live videos just never load. Each time app is updated the login details need to be input again on each device, 3 or maybe 4 updates as of writing. This could be great app if all videos were accessible and it simply worked as expected but right now it’s just not.
