✓ Waiting for that new update!I LOVE THIS GAME!! Every time I see an app needs updated I hope that's it's this game because I want to play it with this new paladin character. Love the game fun to play, not to eat..Version: 1.32
✓ BRILLIANT GAME But A Few Changes would be niceAll in all this game packs a punch! The brilliant combat, the amazing lighting and the way that in this game Graphics don't need to be amazing for a game to be beautiful. I love rampaging through dungeons as the Rogue, using my upgraded dash attack to defeat foes that stop me from reaching the next floor. I recommend this game 10/10 For the visually appealing graphics and just the pure awesomeness of crushing a zombie miners head in from a weapon you've created from the ember forge. My favourite feature is the way that you can pick up special abilities from the statues of gods and goddesses, enabling you to conquer more enemies. In a future update I would like to see a multiplayer feature so you and friends can team up and plunder through dungeons using special abilities. I would also like to see a quest system so while rumbling through the dungeon and smashing treasure chests, you can find notes with quests on them that result in a rare drop item, or a cutscenes that unveils more about the mysterious Mage at the beggining. My final add on that I would like to see is another way to obtain extra health other than from when you change floor, maybe from a statue, or potions that can be found in chests. Anyway I have recommended this game to all my friends and for what it's worth, £2.99 is an absolute bargain for such a detailed ,well thought out game..Version: 1.00

This is a truly excellent game with slick controls, random dungeons, character upgrades and awesome pixel art. The story is awesome, the battles challenging but possible, and some music is just absolutely amazing, like the theme before the final boss and. ✓ Amazing GameIts a wonderful work. The gameplay is hard but fair. Soundtrack is very nice and compelling to listen to. Not a game for those who are looking for a quick experience or easy gameplay. The story building elements used in the game are fantastic and just about everything involved in the gameplay builds a unique world worth expiriencing. Some neat references via hat system and comedic or interesting random events that further enhance your gameplay and the overall story. It can be frustrating when you get stumped at a certain part or certain enemies give you trouble and whem that happens I take a break for a while but I always want to come back and return refreshed to keep going and manage to figure out the enemy and keep progressing. ✓ Amazing- butThere hasn’t been an update in a whole year and I’m a bit disappointed as the paladin seemed quite fun to play as shown from the tutorial stage, and they have yet to release him as I’m writing this in 2018. The entire game is astonishingly fun, and the diverse weapons and abilities plus the randomized upgrades are very entertaining since sometimes your upgrades aren’t what you’d like and you have to adjust to them. The bosses are well made, and the difficulty stacks up against even Dark Souls in my opinion. The third gold level is greatly difficult and I have yet to clear it, having only reached floor 7 of the Catacombs. But that doesn’t stop me due to the randomly generated floors which leads to a ton of fun. I’d give this 15 stars if I was able to..Version: 1.34

Controls can sometimes not respond like you want ‘em, or the monsters’ behavior spontaneously deviates from its usual pattern. ✓ Absolutely Amazing!I don't review products very often (mostly because I'm too lazy to do so) but THIS deserves a review with a 10-star rating! The gameplay is quite difficult but addicting; I get frustrated and leave for a while, sure, but I always come back to it. The music is beautifully eerie, too. I eagerly chase new pieces of story that emerge with each playthrough; even something as small as a conversation of two ghosts about one of the Saints statues gives you more info about the world, and I keep finding new tidbits despite having played the levels likely hundreds of times by now! I accidentally missed one by killing the speaker before they finished, and I still regret it. This game builds a true world, which you soon realize the story you're following is only a small part of. Amazing in every way- I could not give constructive criticism even if I tried. It's absolutely worth your money if you like beautiful music, interesting stories and world-building, and challenging but addicting dungeon crawlers (real-time ones, that is). ✓ Great Hack and Slay type of gameThe game is amazing, it is really fun and challenging, rare for a mobile game! What you get is an amazingly balanced dungeon hack and slay, with lots of fun for hours, days, weeks! Every enemy is unique and they become more difficult with smarter behaviour, rather than simply more hit-points. It really feels like the developers were spending hours and lots of love into refining every aspect. You arsenal of attacks is a bit limited, as I expected more strategic variety in attacks or magic, with damage types, protections, counter magic, etc... Maybe I expected too much for a mobile game. Which ever character you choose, what will be most important is timing: attacking, strategic retreat, defence, counter attack, and some such. The gameplay is clearing levels in dungeons and only proceeding to the next level will restore some health! Healing portions are as rare as a unicorn, don't count on them. In this way the game is unforgiving. Avoid damage! The comparison to Secret of Mana or Zelda are misleading, it is not an RPG. Just be aware what this game does and what it does not. ✓ Amazing game just very unforgivingI love this game and have been playing it for nearly a year now... And still haven't got passed Amaranth keep!! You have to clear ten floors (each take about 3-5 mins) then a boss fight at the end, and if you die at any point you go all the way back to floor 1.... Iv reached the boss fight like 5 times and died every time as i normally enter the fight with half my HP... It seems too hard and unforgiving for an iphone game, its not like you can even memorise the enemy patterns as each floor is randomly generated! This needs a nerf or checkpoint i feel... I would highly suggest it to people who like games like FATE, except for the controls... the game runs well but the controls are a bit wonky like sometimes when I'm playing as a rouge I try to dash (with full energy) and all that happens is I swing my weapon causing me to usually die. The short sessions, quick fighting with fluid controls, interesting upgrade choices, variety of quirky characters, and random rare encounters kept me coming back for more. It was challenging but fair; most calamity could be avoided by knowing the enemy patterns, and improving my skill over time felt great. Provided months and months of high-quality entertainment. But I finished the story and the promised update never arrived. Now, the Paladin Update is finally here, and for once I’m happy to have deleted my save. Only vital improvement I would like to see ASAP would be on screen buttons for special abilities, although the concept of swiping up and down is nicer presentation-wise the character very frequently executes a standard attack when I've intended to use an ability (such as a ranged attack) and this has sometimes resulted in frustrating deaths, because of this I often avoid using the abilities. However, I feel like some classes are significantly more powerful than others. So far I've only noticed it acutely with the Mage. You need to give her the ability to move and aim with a twin stick setup because the hit boxes of her attacks are way too small to have to make her move in a particular before firing, only to have to change you movement angle moments later for another attack. The upmost love and care went into every last piece of this compelling, action-packed, rogue lite adventure. Blood, sweat, and tears went into designing the flawless, tight control scheme. Fast paced and aggressive enemies dwell within the Mines, Tower, Catacomb, and Labyrinth, guarding their secrets and the stories of up to 6 playable classes (a separate dungeon exists for the 7th class). Each comes equipped with a unique play style; customizable via in game upgrades that can shift gameplay drastically. Although permadeath exists for runs, a robust upgrade system allows you to power up your heroes so they can face the trials again, stronger than ever! Massive replay value lies within the procedurally generated dungeon maps and enemy placement, and each dungeon has its own boss lying in wait for foolish adversaries. Collectors will have their hands full obtaining the multitude of hats stashed away in the dungeons. I've just reached the 4th floor and it feels like an achievement. Combat is good and improves as you get to know the enemies' attack methods. Can't wait for the promised updates.
