Feed Baby - Breastfeeding App for Negative User Reviews

It is only “free” for a limited timeBe warned: after about 10 days of meticulously logging every feed, diaper change, sleep and so on into the app, you will either have to buy the paid version to continue or lose all of that data. This happens without notice. The requirement to leave a positive to remove a stupid banner was obnoxious enough. I am now so annoyed that I had to pay for this app and I wish I had used something else from the beginning. Who knows, maybe in another 10 days I’ll have to pay for an upgrade to continue using it! It was so underhanded. The app also has syncing issues when being used on more than one device. Otherwise, what it’s supposed to do is pretty useful. Overall, I do not recommend..Version: 3.0.6

Deceptive and locks you outWas loving this app until it sneakily (without prior warning or notification), stops you from using nearly all useful functions. Had over a weeks worth of data logged including feeds, which I now cannot access without paying $9.99. To the app creators- Be transparent! Don’t prey on vunerable parents by locking them out of needed data by suddenly holding it ransom for $10..Version: 3.0.6

I swear this app is gaslighting meI religiously input feeding sessions, diapers and baths and I go back later to check or start the next and the data is gone..Version: 3.1.4

Deletes dataHard to be able to rely on it when it inconsistently deletes the data like feed times/amounts or pumping sessions. Very frustrating and unreliable..Version: 3.2.0

Removes functions after short periodFree app removes a number of functions after a trial period that was not clear when first downloading the app. Fine to have a paid upgrade with extra features, but not fine to remove functions without any warning or notice, so I’m not upgrading, deleting this and for another app which at least states upfront what the price is and what is included!.Version: 3.0.6

Could be better for multiplesI used this app 8 years ago for my son, and decided to use it for my twins because I knew it could support multiple babies, but some features could be more multiple friendly. I wish it was easier to switch between babies without having to scroll down the page, you should be able to just tap the pic at the top or something. Also the widgets and watch features only open for whatever baby the phone app was left on, and you can’t switch or add another widget for the other baby. Being able to start feed timers for both at once would also be a great feature, so that I don’t have to remember to go back and add the other baby’s feed, and most multiples tend to be on the same eating schedule so it would be a good time saver. Other than that it is still simple and easy to use...especially if you only have one baby.Version: 3.1.4

A bit cheekyYou cannot sync your app data across apps on your iPhone and a partner’s iPhone without having to separately pay the unlock fee (£5.99) on both apps (as they consider it in app content)! There is a slight hint of profiteering there. The app itself isn’t too bad but the interface could be a little more user friendly. Overall not worth the money imho if you have to spend close to £12 to unlock what should be accessible core features when the app is downloaded on different iPhones..Version: 3.0.6

Good tools but tricked into spending bigIt’s a handy app with some really useful tools, however I downloaded the free version and loved what I was getting, then after a couple of weeks of use, every useful feature got deactivated with a message that said it was now only available in the paid version. I don’t mind paying for useful apps but at $10 it’s an expensive outlay when you weren’t expecting it and it was either download or loose all of that useful data..Version: 3.0.6

Deleted babies....I bought the full version of this app, since it has the option to add a second baby. I gave birth to twins three weeks ago. I loved being able to have each baby have her own little profile for me to log everything into. Everything was going great until my husband downloaded the app on his phone and tried to sync. It uploaded one baby. When he tried again, it uploaded the same baby again, so he had 2 of the same baby. Irritating. Mine was still working fine until today, when it did the same thing - two logs of one baby. All of Baby A’s data was gone and I was left with a double of Baby B. I deleted the app and re-downloaded it, and now EVERYTHING is gone, despite me using my passcode to sync everything. It wants me to pay AGAIN and I think I’d have to just start all over. I relied heavily on this app as opposed to writing everything on a white board like we had been. That’s what I get for trusting technology, I guess. 🤷‍♀️ Don’t waste your time or money..Version: 3.0.6

Almost perfect1) app isn’t free - basic features of the app begin to disable until you purchase the app for $10 AUD 2) doesn’t sync well between phones (I.e both my hubby and and I have this app on our phones - due to the syncing issue the app actually changes saved logged data - a 10 minutes breast feed might become 18 hours, ect) 3) the app keeps reverting the profile picture of an older pic I put in, despite multiple times adding a new one and clicking the save button. 4) I love the way the timer functions work and that they have an constant automatic dark screen / night mode - which is ofcourse great for this middle of the night sleeps and milk sessions 5) I also love the graph.Version: 3.1.4

Isn’t working as it was beforeI lost my all information a couple of times. And again today and app is not working and no responses from helpdesk so I am finding something else..Version: 3.2.0

Great set up but has some major flawsThe graphs are based on a 7-7 day, I emailed to ask if there was an option to customise this setting and didn’t receive a reply. The trend graphs aren’t very helpful particularly for sleep patterns unless you always run a 7-7 day. My partner also has the app but was unable to sync data between devices which is the main reason we have decided to try a different app. It’s a shame because it I do like this app but there’s been zero support about my queries ..Version: 3.1.4

Really useful tracker, but expensiveThis app has been really helpful keeping track of baby’s feeds and nappies, but at £6 to upgrade, it appears the only feature that you get is “unlimited syncing”, which is pricey, but useful. However once you do so, you would at the very least expect that to apply to the partner’s app too, as it is, if you want to have unlimited syncing both ways, that’s £12, which is a high price in the App Store marketplace. Disappointing from an otherwise decent app..Version: 2.8.0

Rubbish! For the love of everything good, why on earth does this app delete everything logged in it at least once a week???? Randomly it will just erase when my baby has had her last feed, nappy change etc. I have to delete the app, redownload it and sync it back up which restores up to the last logged activity. Doesn’t happen with any other app so it’s not my phone. I’ve updated the app etc, still happens. So frustrated and the only reason I keep using it is because the layout of other apps are frustrating..Version: 3.2.0

So easy to use, cheeky lock out after 2wksThis app makes recording feeds and nappies so easy, really fool proof even for a sleep deprived Momma at 2am! So helpful to have a reminder of which side to start and keep a track of how long since his last feed. The app does more than these two tasks, but they are what I use them for most. Love this app! HOWEVER after 2wks5days they lock you out unless you pay £5.99 to use it!! This has really disappointed me, I chose it as a free app over some that were £3, and now finding if I want to keep using it I need to pay twice that! :( such a shame as I was really enjoying it..Version: 2.8.0

Great newborn appLove this app and how it makes it easy to document information! My husband and I use it to track feeds and diapers. It doesn’t always update when my husband puts in a diaper change so it is frustrating on tat account. Otherwise great! Wish they would fix that one thing!.Version: 3.2.0

Dishonest. Makes you pay to continue use.The actual app is fine. What I don’t like is that this app is “free” and then after a short period of use it restricts access to vital app functions unless you “upgrade” by paying $9.99. I had already logged almost a week of data that I needed for appointments and to compare my baby’s progress with feeds so I was forced to upgrade. There was no mention of this prior and it’s very dishonest in my opinion. Do yourself a favour and choose a different app to start with so your not conned into purchasing this one later on!!! There are plenty of other great apps that do the same thing that are actually free!.Version: 3.0.6

DO NOT PAY FOR UPGRADEI do like using the app, and mostly find it very useful especially for communicating between me and my partner. Did not like the lack of syncing so decided to upgrade to the premium version (since that was the main difference). Unfortunately, that feature is still not working properly and after emailing for support, I’ve heard nothing back after a week. As I said, DONT UPGRADE. There’s no way to get your money back if you do, either. The developers aren’t doing any updates, just taking whatever money comes in and laughing..Version: 3.2.0

Good but don't count on itReally like this app, paid for the upgrade which is worth it - however when I accidentally deleted the app (tired, holding unlocked iPhone against screaming baby) I lost all my data, despite having a synced and upgraded account. When I re-downloaded it it didn't pull across anything, and even emailing the developers they couldn't find any data relating to my baby (bizarre that the only thing you need is your baby's name and date of birth, what about an email/ password login??). So, it's great for day to day use - but don't count on it as a permanent record. Make sure you record stuff elsewhere!!.Version: 2.8.0

Could use some improvements for parents of twins/multiplesI use this to keep track of my twins. Overall I really like it however there are a few bugs or things that could be improved upon. As a mom of twins who are both getting bottled breastmilk it’s disappointing to me that the pump log only applies to one child. The ability to compare amounts pumped to amounts consumed via bottle is very useful but it only shows me data for the child I’m logging the pumping under. I would like to be able to see my pumping compared to what both of my children consume combined because that’s much more relevant and means I don’t have to do the math myself A few other minor things: I decided after adding my son, when adding his twin sister, that I wanted to have their first and middle names. However when I went back and tried to add my son‘s middle name it would save but then give me an error syncing and wouldn’t resolve unless I went back and removed his middle name. I’ve also noticed that it doesn’t save updated pictures. They’ll show up for a brief while but as soon as the device syncs/backs up it reverts back to an older photo..Version: 3.2.0

Not syncing properlyWould be a useful app if me and my husbands apps would sync more than every 2.5-6 hours.. I would’ve thought purchasing the app meant instant updates. Such a delay is really inconvenient.Version: 3.2.0

Terrible supportGreat until you need support , and then you will be completely ignored. And yes, I’m a paying customer.Version: 3.2.0

GarbageI originally gave it 4 stars, until I got a message on my Apple Watch saying I can no longer use it on my watch with the free version and have to upgrade to pro — which is the only reason I downloaded it in the first place. Trash. I’ll have to find another app to use instead!.Version: 3.2.0

Not syncingIt does not sync after months using it. We lost all the data of one of our kids and now we can not sync between devices if you do not purchase for each of them. We have reach out to support more than three times without answer...expensive and at the end we lost valuable data..Version: 3.1.4

Unable to sync / No support at all!!I purchased the upgraded version and found out the app can’t sync properly at all between devices. There are many bugs within the app, and no contact details for support from the company. The only way I could get in touch is through their Facebook page, and guess what - they read the message but no response whatsoever!! I am struggling to continue use it, but all my baby’s data has been recorded here. I am stuck and VERY DISAPPOINTED. Do not use this app, if you are a new mum like me, clueless dealing with the newborn, thought technology could help but turns out to be a total disaster..Version: 3.1.4

Super helpful - BUT ONLY if you buy the full version.Love how much it keeps track of everything. It's always difficult to remember which breast I started on but this remembers. My husband loves the graphs and all the data :) E D I T: Review went from 5 star to 1 star. This morning at a 2 am feeding, I was surprised to find that some of the functions that I loved about the app were disabled. I could get them back if I paid $5.99 for the full version. There was no indication anywhere that the free version wasn't totally free - nothing told me I would only have two weeks. So instead, all the data that has been recorded these past two weeks would have been for nothing if I didn't pay the $5.99. I feel cheated and used. Will definitely mention this to friends as they search for apps to use. Don't use Feed Baby unless you intend to commit and buy the full version when there are other free versions out there..Version: 2.8.0

Pretty Good App, but needs some workAs first time parents, we need to keep track of feedings and diaper changes for our little guy. This app totally works for this. However, my wife and I each have our own phone and we were hoping this app would allow us to know if the baby had been fed recently without having to ask the other person. If you want to have it sync “automatically” (and more than twice per day), you need to pay. And since my wife and I each have our own phones and Apple accounts, we both had to shell out the $$$ for this (a bit pricey for an app, honestly). We can sync as often as we like now but I’m still having to manually sync it almost every time, which is super annoying. As soon as it’s opened, it should auto-sync. It doesn’t. Even swiping down doesn’t always work, I usually still have to navigate to the sync button manually... This app also tracks medications, weight, etc. honestly way more than we’ll ever use it for, but that’s all great! Seriously very helpful. Although, I do think the User Interface needs an overhaul to make it feel more modern and easier to navigate. Definitely feels a bit clunky and dated. TL;DR - Very helpful app, that does what it’s meant to. But the UI isn’t great, the syncing methods really need to be reworked and expect to have to shell out a hefty fee if you want it to be usable across multiple devices..Version: 3.1.4

No technical supportThe app is fine. Easy to use. However if you have an issue, prepare to be ignored by tech support. I have tried emailing multiple times, with screenshots of my issue and no reply. I even tried messaging their Facebook page and was also ignored and left on ‘read’. Their lack of customer service is disgusting..Version: 3.1.4

Loved it until they ignored me after paying for premiumI loved the app and used to recommend to all of my friends over any other tool. I also upgraded to premium. Then the app crashed and I had to reinstall and I lost some data. When I started fresh I sent a request to merge the current profile with my old data. I got an immediate response saying it was done - the problem is it wasn’t. I’ve sent 5+ requests including a new ticket and have had no response for 2 months. I don’t blame them for the data situation - but the customer service if anything goes wrong is horrible - I expect more from a paid app..Version: 3.2.0

One BIG problemLove the app but there’s one big problem. I thought my little one was sleeping ok, by looking at the daily totals. Until I realized it was counting get sleep toward both days. Example: if the baby sleeps 8pm - 4am, those 8 hours are added to both days instead of cutting off at midnight and adding 4 hours to yesterday’s total and 4 hours to today’s total. Because of this overlap, it says my baby slept 22 hours in one day. Obviously not true. This also happens with pumping and feeding, making me think she ate more or I pumped more than I actually did. Another minor change: if I start pumping (logged as both sides) and then baby is hungry after one and I nurse the other side, there’s no way to edit the pumping on both sides. I have to delete it and re-log it as only the right or left side. Same with feeding. Once you log a bottle as milk or formula, no way to edit if you hit the wrong one..Version: 2.8.0

Fails to sync between devices even if you upgraded months agoFails to sync between devices even if you have upgraded months ago. It’s very frustrating because you cannot start an event on one device and continue layer with another. I have the exact same settings and it’s all under the same Apple ID.Version: 3.1.4

Misleading upgrade price - unethicalAfter they took away all the functionality that once was free, a screen prompts me to buy it for 30% off but the price is still the same? After emailing them about getting the discount, received this reply: “We do plan to raise the price soon because we've noticed that many of our direct competitors have raised their prices too. We're just allowing a period where users may still purchase the app for the lower price before we do increase it.” Very unethical when you are advertising a discount, not a price raise soon..Version: 3.0.6

No customer supportIt could be a good app but there is no customer support response and our data on our baby is trapped. We signed up and paid for premium but the sync does not work so my husband is unable to see the latest data even though we both paid to upgrade. We’ve contacted support across multiple channels for a while now with no support. As you can’t transport data to another app we’re stuck with a month of our baby’s data on an unusable app which we need live updates for both of us. Further it advertises as having widgets which it does not. Real shame because it could be a good app if they responded and assisted those people who paid to upgrade to resolve issues..Version: 3.2.0

Scam- not free as advertisedThis app says it’s free but after 2 weeks, to keep using all the features, you have to pay 10$. The worst part is that you spend so much time logging in info that it then becomes a pain to get a new different app. Wish I had known from the start that they were going to start charging..Version: 3.1.4

Missing a key main feature - manual syncThe app seems great for entering data - both wife and I paid $10 for the full version however it has a key feature that is super annoying. If you looking to handover between partners you will need to manually sync. Even the full version doesnt automatically sync - only after a hour or longer. As a result its super annoying if your partner enters in data, you wont see it straight away and the only way to see it is to manual sync. Not sure why they just make it auto sync everytime you upload data eg like google calendar. Very annoying, for example checking for last feed, your partner may have enter it but you cant see it straight away..Version: 3.2.0

***Read before downloading***I’ll start off by saying this is the first time I’ve left a review for an app ever. The only good thing I can say is that the app is well organized and easy to use. However, buyer beware 👎🏼. I wish I had read other reviews on here before downloading! The app is only usable for 10 days, then you need to buy it for $6—-something the app FAILS to tell you about when downloading. I had downloaded this app after reading a few blogs that recommended it because you can use it on multiple phones to sync data between parents. BUT you need to purchase the “upgrade” on both devices which is very disappointing. I was hoping I could use this on my husband’s phone as well but I will not spend another $6 to get the ability to use it on both phones. That is not something I wanted to deal with as a new parent..Version: 3.0.6

Save your money- this will make your life harderI’m recently back to work and needed a way to communicate with my baby’s caregiver to synchronize my pumping with my baby’s eating. We had trouble downloading the app to her phone and connecting to mine. Then the info wasn’t syncing. Then it asked her to pay (we had already paid on our end so this was puzzling). Out of desperation, we paid the extra money hoping it would solve the problem. It did not. Our apps still aren’t syncing. Over the past eight days, I have sent five messages to customer service trying to get support. I have received ONE reply- a rather terse and short message. I am beyond frustrated. These apps are supposed to make our lives easier during one of the biggest transitions in life. This app WILL NOT do that for you. Save yourself the time and hassle and choose another app that’s more dependable and mother-friendly..Version: 3.1.4

Certain functionality is “no longer available in the Free version”I’ve been using this for less than 2 weeks and was very happy about the basic functionality - tracking feeds, pumping and diaper changes. I have considered exploring other paid features but really I don’t have a lot of need for syncing, other trackers. As of today it seems I lost the ability to track certain express milk feedings and it’s seems like such a dirty trick to offer something under a free component and then remove it (especially since it was not advertised as such). By partially removing the ability to track feeds, the reports aren’t as helpful either. Bummer to see this is how the apps chose to get new paid members - awesome simple app that sadly will hold you hostage if something in the free side is all of a sudden removed..Version: 3.2.0

MisleadingI needed an app that was easy to use so I could quickly enter my daughters feedings and sleep. This seemed like a great way to do that. The only thing was that I couldn't sync the information so that my husband and I both could put in information and be able to see the updates by each other in the app. So we decided to pay the upgrade fee (which is steep in my opinion) so that we could synchronize as needed which is stated as a benefit to the upgrade. Well, my husband payed for the upgrade but I cannot use the upgraded features on my phone still. He emailed to ask and they said we each would have to pay the upgrade fee if we both want to use the upgraded features on our phones. What?!?!?! That's absurd! That means we'd be paying $12 so that my husband and I can share the information we enter for our daughter. I feel it is misleading. Why would I pay to sync things for myself? I have the info on my phone. I need to sync info with my spouse. Great app but apparently the people who operate it are all about money and not truly helping parents..Version: 3.0.6

App is ok but too $$$ for full versionI have been using this app for 16 months but only used the free version because they wanted $15 for the full app which was ridiculous compared to other similar apps. I continued to use it because all of my child's data was in it and I didn't want to switch as our need for additional functionality changed. I recently updated the. Weapon of the app and they took away the Continue Sleep functionality so I bit the bullet and paid $6 for the full version since they were running a sale. I still feel like this is overpriced. I have friends who have the same type of app for free. The only reason why I even purchased and kept this one is because I had so much of his infant data loaded here and prefer continuity/consistency..Version: 2.8.0

Second time deleting my dataThis app is great and I use it A LOT. Paid for it when I don’t like to pay for apps because it’s that useful. 1 star because this is the second time that allllll my data has been deleted. The first time I emailed support and within a couple of hours the data came back. That was only a little over a month ago. My data came back a few hours later fully restored and their support said that it must have auto synced itself back. Well... my data disappeared last night and I restarted my phone, turned off the app, etc... let it sit for a night and the data is still gone. I don’t want to have to email support every time this happens especially if it’s going to be every month. Fix this now. Looks like a previous reviewer has had this issue too... from last year!! This bug or whatever should’ve been fixed a long time ago..Version: 3.1.3

Upgrade fee required to maintain featuresI’ve use this app with my two prior babies and this time the experience has been a downgrade. I mainly use it to track feeds and I like that the buttons are large and easy to find. However after two weeks of use the app is now telling me I need to pay a fee to maintain the feature of being able to pause and resume a feed. In addition there are larger ads in the app so I can no longer view the timer in the horizontal orientation and then it locks so I can’t flip the orientation when I flip my phone. Instead I have to go back to the home screen and re-enter the feed screen to view the timer. I feel cheated/blackmailed that I wasn’t informed upfront that features would be removed unless I paid. New moms are exhausted and vulnerable as it is so this is frustrating. I don’t know which feature may be removed next. I will likely be finding another app to track feeds which is a very basic feature and all I use it for..Version: 3.1.4

What a jokeI paid for the app and synced it with my husbands phone but it only added information to both phones when it wanted to, which NEVER HAPPENED. Don’t waste your money on the crumby app..Version: 3.1.4

Not free to use. Disclaimer? This was a good app to track everything but while it is free initially, functions start disabling after about 2 weeks of use and requires upgrading (purchasing) to continue use. I really wish there was a disclaimer at the menu screen before use stating that it’s just a free trial for a bit until you’ll eventually have to purchase. It’s just now been a waste of time logging all that info to now have to discontinue use unless you pay. A fair warning would’ve been appreciated beforehand so I would look elsewhere for a completely free app. A flaw in the app itself is that it doesn’t add the total of sleep your baby has had so far in the day as you log. I’ll be finding another app to use that’s free..Version: 3.1.4

Does the job!I needed something to remember which boob I last fed on, and to keep track of feeding times and frequencies, this app does that and provides reports and data which is useful for you to see trends. There is also the potential to record other info like vaccinations etc, but I haven’t used it for that. It would be great if you could change a setting so that the start time of a feed can be recorded, rather than the duration, as I’m only really interested in when a feed took place, not how long it lasted. It would also be great to have a shortcut somehow to track the feed, as there are a few screens to go through before you get to the one you want. Not ideal when you have a baby shouting at you to feed. Otherwise a great app, and I didn’t mind too much paying the fee to get the full version when the free trial expired (although I’m not sure I was aware of having to pay for this until I got the message telling me I needed to pay otherwise I’d lose all the data). Overall, would recommend..Version: 2.8.0

Not worth it!I’ve been using this app for two weeks and mostly loving it. I have been charting in it religiously to help me keep track of every little detail. Until today. When major features I rely on on a daily basis (continuing a feed, documenting that a bottle was given, etc.) have been taken away. NO WHERE was it stated that the app is a trial version. If you want to use all the features you have to pay $5.99. Really? You want me to pay $6 to document that I fed my baby a bottle? What if I was strictly bottle feeding? The app would be completely useless. I feel cheated. All of my information is saved in this app. Like many other people have said, I feel like it was a bait and switch move. They make you feel like you’re trapped into paying because SO much information is saved. But honestly, the app isn’t worth 6 bucks even with all the bells and whistles. And I refuse to pay now that I feel like I was mislead. I’ll find another app, thanks. So SAVE YOUR TIME and your money. It’s not worth it! Had I known they would do this, I would’ve never started using it..Version: 3.0.6

Intuitive to use!Love that it’s intuitive to use, AND I appreciate that it has an Apple Watch complication for easy logging and knowing when my last feeding was. This is 5 stars. HOWEVER, I am giving an overall 2 stars as the IMMEDIATE AND UNLIMITED AUTO-SYNCS are not working between mine and my partner’s devices after purchasing the app upgrade. Not happy about this since we are taking turns (like shifts) caring for our newborn..Version: 3.1.4

Not compatible for multi userI am very frustrated with this app. My little one was in the NICU and when binging her home it was so important for us to track everything, from medicines to feeds. After paying for the app I realized that it doesn’t have he capability that I hoped for. The app is really good, If you are a single parent or you always have the device of one person by the child at all times. If you are a husband and wife team recording important information and hoping to sync the data both of your devices.... steer clear of this app. It had limited ability when it comes to multiple users..Version: 3.1.4

Deletes DataData goes missing. Not all the time but this isn’t a reliable app if it looses enter data..Version: 3.2.0

Don’t do it 😡Everything was going great and then they wanted me to upgrade to the full version for $10.. I didn’t want to and then bit by bit things on the version I had stopped working and it said “you must upgrade to the full version to access this”.. so I upgraded to full version and then the app crashed and I lost everything.. 4 months worth of data gone!! Messaged them and didn’t even get a response! Don’t do it 😡.Version: 2.8.0

Used to love it… until I needed customer supportI used this app religiously, kept track of important things like my son’s weights, etc. The app unexpectedly crashed and I submitted several tickets to try and merge my old account after it was reinstalled. As a premium paying customer I was told this could be done. They have ignored my requests for help and never even attempted to get back to me. Terrible customer service. I should have never paid a cent..Version: 3.2.0

You will need to purchase the app 10 days after downloading itWhilst it is a good app to record feeding and sleep - it is unclear that after ten days to continue using the app and access your data you need to purchase the full app. Not at all transparent and as a parent trying to monitor/ track what your baby is doing I felt I HAD to purchase the app and would not have started using the app had I known this..Version: 3.0.6

Decent app with unfortunate priceThe app isn’t bad but having to buy it on both you and your partners phone for the sync to work feels misleading compared to how others apps present this. For the price we could have went with a different app with a better design more specific to iOS.Version: 3.2.0

Useful but poor syncing and UIThe app is very useful and has some really strong features, like charting etc. But the sync is just annoying. Requires manual sync despite multiple sync options enabled such as ‘automatic sync’, ‘sync more often’, and ‘auto sync during event’. Those options tell me the syncing is a hack. The UI could go with a lot more work..Version: 3.1.4

Beware the trial periodApp worked great- did exactly what I needed it to and was very convenient for tracking sleeps as well as feeds & meds. But I guess most of the features I was using were only available to me during the trial period of the first week— app quit working in the middle of a feed and pushing several buttons resulted in my getting the “this feature is no longer available- please upgrade now” screen (including the pause button on the feeding screen and the ability to continue a feed- what baby doesn’t burp during a feed?! Now I have to time it manually which defeats the purpose of a tracking app). This trial period element is not clear on the App Store info nor when you first set up the app. They should really make it clear what features are free and which are only available on the premium version. Feels like I was tricked— now I have to buy the full version (or find something else & lose my data- they are literally holding it hostage as exporting data is a premium feature!)..Version: 3.0.6

DOES NOT SYNC AUTOMATICALLYMy husband and I use this app everyday. It’s great and allows us to keep track of everything needed to care for our baby. BUT there’s a PROBLEM. This app DOES NOT auto sync. The app is supposed to auto sync both mine and my husband’s input but it doesn’t. Often times I have to ask my husband when was the last time she ate or had a diaper change instead of just being able to go to the app and see. It forces him, at times, to go to the app and hit the sync button on his phone. Then I have to hit the sync button on mine, for me to see stuff he has inputed. It’s SUPER FRUSTRATING when you have a fussy baby having to manually do something on both our phones. Something that should happen automatically, and that the app itself promises. I’m beginning to think paying for this app was a mistake and we should look for another..Version: 3.1.4

Deceiving purchaseThis app is good at keeping track of feedings, diaper changes etc if you are a single parent/caregiver or do not need to share/coordinate the information with anyone. I paid for the upgrade thinking that my wife and I would be able to seamlessly sync data between each other. That is incorrect. If you wish to do this then both parties would need to purchase the upgrade. I confirmed this with the developer to make sure I wasn’t doing something incorrectly. I requested a refund and return of the app but did not receive a response. It’s too bad when you pay $7-8 for an upgrade that’s pretty much useless unless your significant other pays as well. So if I get a nanny then they’d have to pay too? Even with my paid app the sync feature wasn’t automatic nor very often (I changed all settings). I should have done more research as I’m using a different app now that lets me sync instantly for FREE. Check out Baby Tracker instead..Version: 3.1.4

**WARNING** Read before purchaseUpdated review: *WARNING* This is NOT a free app!!! Once you're 10 days into using it, some key features (i.e. ability to pause time during a feed or continuing a feed after you though he/she was done) are disabled until you BUY the app. They get you tracking all for 10 days, then disable the features that we need!! Who has time as an exhausted new mom, trying to figure out breastfeeding on minimal sleep, to switch everything to a new app?? There's others out there that are truly free and do the same thing, same components and tracking stats. My friends use the app Baby Tracker and love it. I'd recommend trying that. Note to the Developers: you need to include this fee in the Details page. Be up front with your customers. Original post: So glad I downloaded this app to track diapers, feeds, pumping and sleep time. As a new mom, you want to make sure the baby is eating and diapering enough (especially wet diapers). Easy to use and review what you're tracking for the pediatrician if they ask. Definitely recommend it!!!.Version: 3.0.6

Bugs render it uselessI’ve been using the app since Jan 2016 and recently, after my second child was born, every few days my information on feeds and diapers vanish after syncing. I’ve emailed twice with no response. With an 8 week old, this info is vital and as it keeps disappearing it means the app is useless. If it can’t do the basics required, and no one from the developers will return correspondence, I can no longer recommend.Version: 3.1.4

Not FreeLet you use it for free for a while then charge you almost $10 to keep using it. Huge rip off..Version: 3.2.0

Unethical app. Steals your data. Tells you to leave a positive rating to keep using appSo functionality wise, this is not great. I got it so that I could record feeds in my Apple Watch when I didn’t have my phone close by. It is a bit buggy in this regard as often when I logged it on my watch it didn’t register the feed on my iPhone. Seemed to work fine if you just registered feeds on your phone. After a few days of using the app, an obnoxious bar came over the main page saying “leave a positive rating to remove this bar forever”. Ummmm I don’t think you can do that. Coax positive reviews out of people to increase functionality of the app. But the WORST thing is that completely unannounced, 10 or so days into using the app, I went to log a feed and that option was removed completely and replaced by a screen saying I now had to pay to use the app. My beef is that there was NO warning that they were about to restrict access to my data. What if I’d been about to see a lactation consultant with weeks of carefully logged feeds to ask for help? If you are going to do that you need to give the user at least 24 hours notice of how impending restriction before blocking access. This is a baby’s nutrition we are talking about, not a game. Unethical. Don’t use.Version: 2.8.0

Doesn’t syncDoesn’t sync with other phone which was the whole point of getting this..Version: 3.2.0

Useful until sync needs to be upgradedWe have been using this app since our baby girl’s arrival. It’s been useful especially with the sync option. However the sync option suddenly becomes not available unless I do an upgrade to the app. Very disappointed..Version: 3.1.4

Warning this app is not freeMost of these reviews are for the full version that will cost you $10. They don't tell you that the "free" version is actually just access to the full version for 10 days when they progressively remove access to parts of the app to the point where it becomes almost pointless. They put up a banner to encourage reviews before they restrict access so most of the reviewers here don't know they are about to lose access. The free version is terrible compared to other apps available. The paid version is great but it is dishonest to sell the app this way. Also don't believe the 30% off banner, they charge full price anyway..Version: 2.8.0

OkIt’s an ok app and we still use it, but I’m not thrilled with it. The solid food can only be logged by weight. I don’t know about you, but I measure that by the tablespoon and not on the kitchen scale. I had an issue with syncing where one person would start a sleep, the other would stop it, but then it still showed as ongoing with the first person. If the first person synced at that time, the sleep would be recorded as ending at the sync. Same for pumping and it would overwrite the original stop entry where I logged the amount pumped. I reached out to the developer and they said not to use the sync feature while something is in progress. That’s fine for some, but we take turns caring for our baby. I also reached out to them on a separate occasion after I purchased a new fossil smartwatch. FeedBaby was not available on that device, so I asked what the requirements were; they never answered..Version: 3.0.6

Good app but it's a trapGood app but after a weeks use it backs you into a corner to buy the upgrade..Version: 2.8.0

Starts off great but don’t botherThis tracks everything even stuff you wouldn’t think of. It starts off convenient but after 2 weeks it makes you pay to upgrade which is mentioned nowhere so by the time you see it you’re used to it and all your info is there. Even though it was false advertising and did not mention you had to pay I decided to pay the upgrade fee because I liked the app so much. One day later ALL of my baby’s information and tracking is gone. So to summarize: great features in a tracker but doesn’t mention that you have to pay after two weeks then if you do upgrade it becomes useless and you lose all your progress and information. NOT WORTH IT! This is a terrible things to do to moms who NEED to track these things for their babies. The creators of this app should be ashamed of themselves.Version: 3.1.4

Functional app but uses sneaky tricks to get you to upgradeApp itself generally works well and does job of recording feeds, nappies, sleep etc easily. However after a few days of using free version it will lock you out of app for 6 hours unless you upgrade- by which time you are reliant on app to record your baby’s details. Also even after paying for app it puts large red button on top of screen to say “leave us a positive review to remove this button forever”, which is super annoying & does not encourage warm feelings to app makers or any desire to leave positive review! I am stuck with it now but would advise against using this app as plenty other options on market who hopefully don’t use these crappy tricks on their customers. App developers should be ashamed of their money grabbing tricks!.Version: 3.1.4

Good until you must payHad it for only 3 days but I like being able to check my impressions against facts. Only use it for sleep, feeds and nappy change. Would be easy to get obsessive with it but if you stay chill, it’s really good so far. I will delete when required to pay to continue using though. After 7 days, I can no longer access the Today and Timeline screens. I have enjoyed the app although the immunisation planner is incorrect for the UK, but will now loose interest quickly. Well, it’s been a nice ride Feed Baby!.Version: 2.8.0

Costs to unlock features after using itDisappointed that they’re now charging a subscription of $9.99 once you have data locked in. Could have declared this earlier..Version: 3.2.0

Overall goodThe app is great and easy to use, however after using it for a couple of weeks, many features have suddenly been disabled and data will be deleted unless I pay for the app. I have a sick baby which is why I have been tracking feeds and diaper output. Feeling frustrated and backed into a corner to buy the App so I can keep and show the data to my baby's doctors. Would have preferred a light version from day 1 that had these features disabled as opposed to disabling them after a few weeks.Version: 2.7.6

Good, but could be better.I downloaded this app to help my husband and I track feedings for my newborn son. For various medical reasons, we are bottle feeding both breastmilk and supplementing formula. I wish this app allowed more than one food source to be entered per feeding session. For example, in our case, a 30 minute feeding could be made up of 80ml of breastmilk and 40ml of formula. As it is now, we have to add two different sessions which is misleading when you review or manually add notes. I’d like to see what he ate total PLUS how much of each as a single feeding. The syncing can be a little touchy, too. Wish I could pull down from the feeding menu to update, rather than the main menu. I DO like the short cuts and options for customizing what buttons show up..Version: 2.8.0

FeedBabyI used this app with my firstborn and loved it. Now I’ve just had baby #2 and we are using it again. It’s a game changer to not have to remember how long ago the last feed was (or which side) or what the last nappy consisted of because it’s all recorded in the app - we have enough on our minds! I love how easy it is to use but disappointed with the customer service. I upgraded to the pro version with my 1st born so that I could use the app on my Apple watch and it’s never worked. Contacted customer service numerous times and not a single reply..Version: 3.1.4
