✓ Astounding+The graphics on iPad are gorgeous +customisability, originality and replay ability are great -controls not great on iOS but inevitable -would be nice to have home world option instead of using premade island +like a much improved Minecraft (probably a dreaded word) =what do you like about a game? ✓ Great game! Worth every cent.Thanks to the devs for being so responsive. I have been playing the game and loving it. I was making some mistakes early on in the game because there are some dynamics that I didn’t understand. Like: dirt structures erode! So get to know the game for a while and it becomes a really rewarding experience. One suggestion: maybe a save button just to assure you that all your progress is accounted for. I had a previous problem with saving that I think had to do with a connection issue and I thought servers were responsible. Thanks again for a great game and props for making it affordable. ✓ All round great gameThis is an all round great game. When I started I chose an archer/ranger/Bowman, but I was disappointed to realise that the range of his bow was pretty short. I wanted to have a character that can do damage from far away but instead the enemies pretty much come to me, and I have to fight them with a knife. Please increase the range!! ✓ FavoriteThis is my favorite game I have played on my phone in a really long time. Especially in this genera. Minecraft is great but I love the rpg aspect of this game. The only problems I have is sometimes in normal sized worlds the random generation will spawn a portal in a place that is not easy to find and you have to dig around to find it. Granted some dungeons have “hidden entrances.” The other one is whenever I go into first person the frame-rate drops significantly. I love the feature of being able to switch between them. But I feel like I can’t use first person right now. So it is annoying in dungeons. Things I love is the progression system, perks, and variety of “biomes” and creatures. I hope in the future they make the worlds and bosses more random by adding more variety. So they aren’t the same every universe. ✓ Good concept, needs fine tuningOverall this is SUCH a cool, fun, inventive game. Most... well let’s just say it, Minecraft-looking-games, are embarrassing ripoffs of Minecraft with some random new element like guns or cars. But THIS? This adds so many cool layers that make it an entirely different game. There’s just little things that need work in order to make this perfect. My biggest problems with it are 1) the controls are clunky and not easy to manage 2) night times are WAY too dark. I need to turn my phone up to full brightness in order to see anything at all which drains battery at a ridiculous speed, and 3) It’s lacking story or characters. Maybe more is to come later, I’ve only gotten to 9 worlds and just met the cultists, maybe that will develop, but right now there’s just a concept with a very very loose storyline holding it together..Version: 1.2.7

✓ Portal Knights Adventuring with the family.This game does so many things right. It is a family friendly dungeon crawler and loot game with some crafting. You can make a home and settle down and you get resources as you travel the portals that connect this fabled shattered world. Thanks Devs for such a wonderful family game. I just wish the iOS version and switch version had the same updates as the Xbox. It would be really great to have those extra classes and mounts on iOS. ✓ Fun to playThis is an amazing game that combines Minecraft elements with our peaches strategy and development. I have really enjoyed playing, And plan on purchasing it for my kids to play with me over Wi-Fi as well. My Complaint is that sometimes objects and items go invisible and can’t be found. In addition sometimes you can see something but can’t pick it up or put it in your inventory. I found a really cool spell and it got dropped while I was arranging my Inventory. I couldn’t pick it up And eventually lost it. It was a big bummer because it was a rare find. Beyond that I love this game. I think it’s also neat that instances happen from zone to zone like invasions of skeletons or orcs. You never know when something special is going to happen, and it makes you feel like you are a part of something. It would be nice to have more special vendors for weapons and armor, and have a little more character development. I would love to see sub classes like necromancer..Version: 1.5.3

✓ Portal knights reviewThe gameplay is excellent and the graphics are very well designed, but I have a few gripes that make me want to stop playing one such gripe being that whenever you tap the joystick you roll and I have died many times because of this. I also dislike how locking onto an enemy takes you out of first person and on the same note that you can’t jump in combat mode. The final thing I feel could be improved is in the boss fights so far more so the dragon Queen is that when I was trying to knock the eggs of the edge I found that the locking system locked onto the boss instead of the eggs causing me to die many times because of the minions the dragon spawns in. As it stands now I have not noticed anything else but overall good game. And maybe make it a little easier to level up it takes forever..Version: 1.5.2

When I breaking things I always have to let go of the A button, and move the camera. If u would be able to make it so that it is possible to move the camera while pressing the A button. ✓ Amazing! Only one major issueThis game is amazing and I have been having a blast. The combination of aspects and the fun style is something very fresh and great. I would easily give it 5 stars for what the game has and what it can gain. I love it. My only fling is that I can’t connect with local multiplayer. None of us can see the games we create when trying to join. We are all on the same Wi-fi with strong connections and all in the same room with the router. On the random chance that we can connect, then the connection and jumpiness is too much to play. The single player and game over all is fantastic. ✓ Wow, but hmmm.This game is great. You even got the Skyrim shouts. I just love that you can create your Character and it will be different from all the other characters in life. I just have one thing, though. It’s thAt the levels are different than you describe them. You know in shrinking sands, there should be 2 buildings, but there is only one. And that is the cultist temple. And the mini boss giant squid, that was in callus’s claim for some reason, even though the wiki said it was in shrieking sands. And guess what I’m trying to tell you. ✓ Honestly amazing, one request thoughI just recently downloaded this game, and I love it. One thing that is difficult, is finding areas or how to get certain items, for example I was stuck on trying to get basalt, the wiki didn’t help much because I had no idea where those areas were, the game would be so much better if it had online multiplayer, not local, I understand if you can’t do that, but it would make the game a whole lot more interesting, you should add a information book, like things or monsters you discover, you can get information about it in the book, the fighting mechanics are a bit rough, when I am fighting a group of mobs, I have to constantly click them to switch whilst spamming a and b buttons.Version: 1.2.7

✓ Great game, but...Hello! This is a fantastic game and you should consider buying it, it is worth every penny. The combat system is well done, and the variety of buildings you can make is enormous. There are 48 worlds for you to explore, as well as event world that occur randomly. Now, I have a small problem with the new update. My home happens to be in Fort Finch, and I don’t want to move it, as that would be very difficult. But I also want to experience all the new features, so could you please add an update so if you have Fort Finch as your home island you can make the new shops somewhere else? That would be great. Overall though, this game is great. One last thing: Please make it so you can’t roll unless you’re in combat. This has screwed me up many times over, so please fix that! Thanks! ✓ Awesome little game!Been playing this game since early access on PC, finally bought the mobile port. The graphics are pleasing and nice, the music is relaxing and upbeat, and the combat is simple but complex. It’s an awesome RPG, with a cool skill tree that allows you to build your character your way. The boss fights are also very unique, and are some of the best encounters you can get on a mobile game. ✓ Pretty good rpg crafterIm actually enjoying this game quite a bit. Not the most in depth character building, but its there. Fair amount of stuff to craft. And even though the maps are generally pretty small, theres alot of them and diverse enough that make up the “world” and make it interesting. The only complaints i have, which doesnt actually break the game =p, is that some of the crafting items have bonuses ( blood boil, mechanic, or life force for example) but no description on what they do... at all. I have no idea if they will help my class or even be any benefit to my play style whatsoever. Be nice if there was a stat sheet showing what your resistances and crit rate and gear bonuses are collectively. And lastly, game seriously needs a brightness slider. I get the nighttime is supposed to be dark, but if my device is in any kind of natural light, its nothing but black screen even with the device brightness at max. All in all, it is a great game. And it has enough to keep you busy for quite a while ( been playing it for the last three days now) so it is still definitely worth the 5$. Keep it up guys.Version: 1.2.7

Only down side is items keep disappearing that I have collected, so it’s starting to become hopeless to collect anything to build. Have done a ticket and hope this is a big that can be altered...until then will leave the game alone. I paid I game for dog house, bird cage, mouse wheel, 2 dogs, 2 owls and then setup putting them pets in these objects...I also put the pet from quest there as well (zone 1-04). Then I stopped playing for the night, next time I logged in all of these items had gone. I moved all my spells and scrolls to a chest another time and stopped playing for the night and they had all gone. Different time management and health pots, stopped playing - same. What I have worked out is that i need to use a portal before stopping for the night and that way I won't lose any items when I next log in..Version: 1.3.5
✓ Awesome game!First off, this game is so AWESOME! Second,This is one of the few games I’ve ever actually been glued to for longer than a week! Unlike other games, I’m able to roam around a humongous, beautiful, and detailed world. I just love games where you do what you want with little to no boundaries and be able to actually have a goal to achieve instead of just running around. There’s just a few things I dislike, 1) IRON, you have to get to world 15 or something to get it! I just wish it was easier to come by or events where you can get iron, like the “All you can mine” event. 2) More classes, it’d be cool if there was a wider variety of classes, maybe a barbarian class or a magic gun like class, etc. 3) In game item list and locations, I know that on the world selection there’s an ore list but if there was a thing where it would tell you what world an ore or gem is on and what you need to harvest it or something like that. I guess it’d be like an in game guide? Overall, Portal knights is an amazing game and it’s so worth it! Fix and add some things here and there and it’d definitely be a 5 star game!.Version: 1.2.7

I’ve been playing this for ages on my Nintendo Switch, and I decided to get it on my iPad, but I immediately knew the controls were odd to use. The camera would slow down at some points and the field of view should have an option to change it. The joystick always seems out of place as well. ✓ Loveee this game!I played Portal Knights on my ps 4 and got as far as a could and discovered that it’s an app too! I was very excited when I discovered that it had different quests and missions with some similarities. This game is very well made and was worth every cent but of course it has glitched on me and I have lost everything before it has been devastating. I have pretty much come as far as I could on this game I wish there were more updates on it for example I wish there was an island with bamboo. Also my trophies of the watcher monster has been glitching on me and I can’t put it anywhere. ✓ A fantastic gameI love it, there are some things I think would be awesome to add.. iCloud saves/ sync Pets that help in battle or have bonus attributes when equiped. NPCs that do more then just stand there- perhaps fight nearby bad guys or could aid you on your quest.. A big metropolis island - no bad guys - lots of shops and npcs/ side quests. I haven’t completed it so perhaps some of these things are later in the game.. Definitely could get 50+ Hours of gameplay out off this game. I think it was worth the money..Version: 1.2.7

Excellent graphics, clever design and well executed on iOS. I’ve just started my journey into this amazing world and am so glad I picked this up. I’ve tried this game out on an older iPad (Air) as well as on an iPhone 7 and it looks great on both. I can see the need to limit the island size on older devices but it really doesn’t take much away from the experience imho. My one wish would be for controller support. My iPhone is my primary mobile gaming device and I use it with a controller and a clip that holds it in place. This game would be great with that set up. ✓ Great game, never perfect but worth itI love this game, it's one of my favorite time wasters and I have it for other platforms too. A lot of reviews are about the awkward controls and I really hope they patch the iPhone version. Someone suggested making the button double as the right joystick I think, which makes sense because you have to move your finger painfully far to look around otherwise. But I have a different suggestion! If we use the third person camera, add an option to let the character move absolute to the screen view, so that up moves them to the top of the screen and so on. They can just lazy-target whatever's in front of them and you can switch to first person for construction and such. That way you don't have to worry about the camera controls at all if you just want to grind five minutes before bed or something. Just have it be like an old top-down RPG that targets the most obvious thing in front of you without the crosshair..Version: 1.2.7

✓ Falsely informed.I thought this game had a global multiplayer didn't realize the only multiplayer on it is local/same wifi. Other than that I love the game but I'll rate it 5 stars once I get to experience the game with other people on a none local network. Or perhaps there's something I'm missing either ways if it's possible to play global multiplayer then there needs to be some sort of instruction because... I can't find it. If there isn't then you guys should try working on a way to make it happen, I know that creating a game and fixing bugs and improving it isn't easy, it's just that a more advanced multiplayer would help this game live on longer. ✓ Absolutely love this gameI bought this game on my Xbox a while back and fell in love with it immediately so finding out it would come to the App Store made me more nervous than anything. I was afraid the game would be completely changed due to it being moved to a mobile device but there was nothing to worry about! The game is almost exactly like it is on the console. I just have a few things I’d like to see if possible. The first thing is customizable controls. I still get mixed up and use “A” for jump rather than attack/mine. I feel like if there was someway to customize the controls, it would be 6/5. Another thing is, when using “A” (or whatever button it would be to attack in future hint hint), to make that a kinda joystick as well. What kinda bothers me is that I have to take my finger of the button, scroll a little bit, and then continue to mine. I think it’d be easier as a player if that was a kinda “joystick” so you could look around while mining something rather than having to mine one block at a time. ✓ Love this game! However...I love this game! Got it free from PS Plus. I played 20 hours+ with my brother and wanted to get my Dad and sister into the game, so I bought it only to find out that I cannot join the PS4’s game, vice versa. One thing I noticed is that the PS4 displays 1.5.4 and mobile displays 1.5.3, either because, 1. It’s a special PS4 Plus Locked edition, 2. They haven’t updated the game, 3. My device (iPod 6 Gen) cannot take the new update, 4. Its a bug on my side. I would like this to be fixed. So what I’m saying, use what you already have, and do research before you buy. ✓ A great port that begs for mfi support.Portal knights was a fantastic pc game. It was a more action rpgish Minecraft with some great crafting, fun coop, and enjoyable combat / progression. This mobile port is near 1:1, and only fails to capture the enjoyment due to clunky touch screen controls. It’s hard to do with a game like this and maintain precision without also auto playing half the game for the player. It’s a decent implementation but the shocking lack of mfi controller support leaves me wondering why this was missed. Most hardcore iOS gamers have at least one gamepad, there’s no good reason these days not to support it, especially in an excellent and worthwhile premium title. ✓ Awesome GameThis is my favorite game on my iPhone I really enjoy the building and customizing aspect while also having some RPG elements ( Minecraft meets Skyrim sort of ) graphics are great , and the overall experience is amazing and definitely well worth $5 . I like how even though it uses block pieces to build once placed they often take on more natural appearances trees and plants look real and not blocky for an example . ✓ Well a Deserved Game Of The MonthI don’t usually write reviews, but the recent update absolutely blew my mind not to. I’ve started Portal Knights months ago; even then, the fluid combat and gameplay outshined most, of not all, other mobile games I’ve played. Through the whimsical characters, monsters, equipments, landscape, and more, it truly feels as if one can be immersed in the fantasy world. What motivated me the most to write this review is the update of creative mode. The flying mechanism to maneuver the world is absolutely unparalleled! Combined with the recently added ability to construct building efficiently, it makes Portal Knights the champion to that of similar games. A major downside to this update, in my honest opinion, is the weakening of equipment (decreased critical chance/damage, and etc). Hardmode bosses are already challenging, but this will make it unnecessarily more difficult. A few suggestions: - summon and place monsters in creative mode (CM) - increase speed in placing and destroying blocks in CM - increased movement speed in CM to allow for more efficiency during construction - allow for deactivation of CM “cheats” (ie: flying, building speed, immunity).Version: 1.4.4
✓ Amazing game but...Love this game particularly the later addition with the creative mode. It plays fluently on ipad and the multiplayer option works seamlessly. My children and I are huge fans. However, one significant downside! As of a few days ago the game geometry simply disappeared. It is there but you cannot see it. ✓ Fun for the whole family!I’ve been struggling to find something for my 7 year old to play, and this has turned out to be great fun for him and I both! I find that the AppStore lacks solid games for kids about his age; he’s mature enough that he wants action and quicker gameplay (he loves the first person perspective), but I don’t want the violence and gun themes that seem to be associated with most of those games. Most games that I deem to have appropriate content, don’t hold his attention for long. Also, on a slightly unrelated note, I find Minecraft to be a bit of a bore, personally, but the structure and rpg elements set this apart a great deal. Portal Knights meets both our needs. As an added bonus, we are both super exited about the co-op multiplayer, and since it’s WiFi only I don’t have to worry about weirdos chatting him up, or building offensive structures in the game. ✓ Buy This Game!!!This game is beautifully designed and has amazing controls. The controls may take a while to learn, but once you spend time to learn it, everything goes quickly. The fights are interesting and fun, and although there are complaints about small worlds, there are 48 of them, which provides ample exploration. The worlds are randomly generated, but have the same buildings, which allows for some replay ability. The developers are in touch with the customers and respond to reviews, which is useful for bug patching. This said, the game could use some updates, and here are things I personally would enjoy to see. (In this order) 1 New classes. I would especially like a rouge with a lower Hp, medium damage, and the ability to turn invisible, a Barbarian that has high Hp, medium damage, and can sacrifice health to hit his axe on the ground and create shockwaves, and a necromancer that has mage abilities (but with less Hp and damage) that can summon undead. 2 Combat Pets. I like the current pets, and you should keep the cute little pets in the game, but also open a slot for bears, wolfs, etc... that are about as powerful as emerald parrots(level 1) and fight whatever you attack, and resurrect after 1 minute. 3 Online. I think this game clearly has to have a online version (top priority after classes and pets) and I would enjoy a version that allows you to play with people across the world..Version: 1.2.7

✓ A hidden gem of crafting style games, albeit neglected on mobileThis is an amazing game that I have been able to enjoy with friends and solo as well. If you like Minecraft, but were wanting something that leans more towards the adventure aspects (although the crafting is great too!) then this is the game for you. Playing coop with my friends has been one of the best gaming experiences I’ve ever had. Just keep in mind that the mobile version has not been updated in a while. If you want the absolute best Portal Knights experience, with expansions and all, then you should get the version on PC/Consoles. The switch version is especially easier control wise (with the touch screen inventory management and all), while PC and PS4 will have slightly better graphics. All in all, this is a classic of the genre and is criminally underrated. A classic in my book for sure..Version: 1.5.3

✓ Good, but needs more optionsSo far this game seems like a pretty faithful port of the game from PCs and Consoles, however I do have some gripes. Firstly for a mobile port it’s lacking key features, like being able to customize where your buttons are, as well as being able to add separate buttons for actions like dodging. There also needs to be an option to turn off “tap anywhere to do an action” as that’s lead to a lot of accidental block placements. Lastly the game’s frame rate is a does occasionally dip on larger worlds on my iPhone 8, even with graphics turned down to minimum, so keep that in mind if you’re using an older device. Besides those problems, the port is good enough and definitely playable, but it just needs improvement on the control side of things, as well as some better optimization..Version: 1.2.7
✓ Still having a blast with this gameIt’s a lot of fun and very addictive! It takes quite some to explore and finish the main quest and all sub quests. Very much worth the purchase! Here is a wish for an update however: When I finished the main quest I picked one of the worlds that I enjoyed the most and decided to go in creative mode and go nuts building a castle and surround it with trees and a town and such.. that’s when I realized that I was somewhat disappointed because there is a limit to the world you are in building wise and you can only dig so deep before you reach the bottom of the island and plummet. (Same thing with height/elevation and the surrounding area.) My wish is that you would allow a particular world to be humongous and allow for extreme height, deep and quite some time to walk from one side to the next. (Even if you would have to “mist” it up to a point to save on memory or so..) - Then I could spend time on this game with its awesome animation and potential instead of other sandbox games with very large worlds that have pixelated graphics and poor animation/movement.. Can you make at least a purchase option for a crazy huge world (that doesn’t feel like a chunk of a floating island) to compete with other pixelated / hum just ok games? That would be very cool! - Maybe something like when you finish the game..the world comes back together and then you have a huge world that allows you to spend hours/days on the bus building humongous castles/cities or whatever!! ✓ Great game, but having a few issues.I’ve been playing this for a fair while on PC and iOS and I’ve always had a fair amount of enjoyment from it. There are a few issues I’ve run into that could use a bit of tweaking, such as: 1. Sound get too quiet in 3rd person camera and very loud in 1st person by comparison. I think volume should be relative to the character rather than the camera. 2. The craft menu should have a quantity setting, like the one in the merchant menu. Currently I have to press the craft button 100 times to craft a full stack of wood blocks. 3. Occasionally, quest objectives and NPC quest markers disappear until I restart the game. ✓ It needs an update!Hi I have this game on PlayStation and played it all the time. But nowadays I have been playing it a lot less. This is because the game needs an update for goodness sake! Preferably a new event or two, more weapons, better loot and hopefully a new DLC. ✓ I LOVE THIS GAME!!!I found it on the App Store and though “Can’t be better than Minecraft right?” WRONG! This game is amazing! It doesn’t need you to pay when you want to play with friends and it keeps me entertained for HOURS! But the only downside is it drains your battery if you are playing it on a phone like me. This game keeps me away from making in app purchases on Minecraft and it doesn’t need any money in the game! I’ve had it for so long I can’t remember if the game itself costs any money but it’s so worth it if it does! I love this game and will always but a great review on the App Store no matter what you tell me! My fave type of player is the mage and my second fave is the warrior and then the ranger. The cool wand and sword are both cooler then the bow! I just love this game and will love it forever!.Version: 1.5.3

✓ Epic game - even better with a controller.This game is phenomenal on iPad. I play it on PS4 and was hesitant to grab it on iOS, because of control issues I’ve experienced with other mobile games in 3D environments. It was pretty good but I’ve since brought a controller and it’s just incredible. It’s made me reconsider how much of a gaming deceive my iPad can be. More updates please, I love the items and stylisation of this game, now I want more :) (transparent glass blocks, water source available in non creative, and maybe some more dynamic friendly NPC animations is the top of my wish-list 🤣).Version: 1.5.3

✓ Awesome! But...There are so many things I love about this game! From the enemies to the weapons! But there are two main issues that get Annoying...the first is that at random, I just roll for no reason, I don’t even move when it happens. The other being that the enemies don’t change where they spawn. (Here’s what happened) I chose being a mage for the game, and wanted to build a tower for me to live in, however, the place I wanted to build was showered with monsters. it was beautiful too. I took 45 minutes to get rid of them, then went back a world for something, came back, and twice the monsters came back...this got really annoying after time and I still have yet to build the tower...the took place by the autumn spring by the way..Version: 1.3.3

✓ Well worth the purchase!I played mine craft a couple of years ago on the pc and loved the freedom of building whatever you wanted. This game as far as I can tell is almost identical except that their are many missions to go on. This game is really quite brilliant and I’ve enjoyed it so far. Just a bit of a pain not being able to just build and not bother with missions. Missions are mandatory to gather resources. I would like to see an increase in different coloured or textured blocks..Version: 1.3.0

✓ This update added to many problemsI like the game and the idea for the update but now the game glitches up to much I can barely play it now. When I turn it stutters like if the sensitivity is off and on plus FPS spikes. When I move I move much slower than before. Also what happened to crafting rings and capes. I think when you created the creative mode you didn’t double check the adventure mode playability. Then on top of all of that I can’t beat the final boss because of these glitches. I would give it a higher star if these problems get fixed. And for the idea it is ok I just wanted to suggest and support this game. Thanks for at least reading my review because every other game I review I get nothing in return unlike you guys I will say that you are one of my favorite game creators..Version: 1.4.4
