✓ OutstandingLATEST VERSION WITH SUBMARINES What was a very good game at both tactical and strategic level has been given greater subtlety by the addition of submarines, use of which, and defence against, demands a further style of play, which enriches the whole experience as much as the existing styles (in which, for example, you keep your aircraft carriers well out of gunfire range, while, by and large, piling straight in with your smaller craft, and ensuring that battleships stay outside the range of opponent's smaller craft but within the range of their own heavy armament). So, a fourth level of play in what is already a very rich experience. My previous review deducted a star for three small problems, at least one of which hasn't been put right. Namely, in the strategy game the scenarios can take a while to play out: up to an hour sometimes. You really need to be able to save progress within a scenario, as well as when it's concluded. But full marks this time, for adding a small instruction guide (the absence of which seemed to trouble some reviewers) and adding the submarines. And for the next revision, please let's have the Atlantic! Convoys from USA, convoys to Russia, Hunt the Bismarck, battle of the River Plate, the Channel Dash... wow, what a range of possibilities... _and_ more interested players attracted by doing the Royal Navy, Kriegsmarine, the Red Fleet and maybe, who knows, if the Mediterranean is included, the Marina Militare. Can't wait! BEFORE ADDITION OF SUBMARINES Lovely graphics, v good tactical quick game. Love the idea of being able to put together your own fleet, or cope with the resources provided. And the idea of many different scenarios in different parts of the Pacific, is excellent. What the other reviewers seem to have missed about the strategy variant is the richness of play available: from moving fleets to draw the enemy out of position into an island group where they will be more vulnerable; to the satisfactions to be gained from building your own additional vessels. My missing 5th star rating is for three reasons. A. If you wait too long in making your move within a particular scenario, the screen freezes so you can't drag to an enemy target to aim at it. B. You can't save a game in mid-scenario. C. Not sure how to trigger a reconnaissance mission into an enemy held region, in the strategy variant. A short manual would have helped..Devi1Version: 1.10

✓ Great game...butThis is well done when playing "quick battle" but, you are not told how to play the "campaign"series! All you get is a map with many theatres of war...when you check one it simulates the battle only!! Shame..Claudius4meVersion: 1.02
