✓ A little unclear and quirkyVery simple app, somehow not very intuitive. Pinch-spread gesture, for example - the standard Apple universe tool for zooming in - doesn’t seem to work. And then suddenly, without any obvious reason, it does. Until I eventually figure out that this standard gesture doesn’t work because it’s not supposed to - the real zoom is a single finger slide upward along the bottom-top axis of the phone. Doesn’t seem to be anyplace within the app that explains this. Good ideas, not great execution so far.Version: 1.7.0

✓ DreadfulI have never written a bad app review in 8 years. This is the first. Great as and when you can get it working but an infinite loop of prompts to upgrade and to purchase associated products. So tacky. Seen many great apps that offer limited functionality on a free version, but great apps don’t behave in such a cheap and nasty manner. This is like a ghost from Windows 95. Dreadful. ✓ HEAT iPhone X 14.6Heat build up on the back of my iPhone X 14.6. It would be nice if particular buttons could be disabled. I've got body dysmorphia so getting rid of the camera swap button would be good, anyone seeing themself at an odd angle is not going to feel good about themselves as well. Of course there are people with anorexia and bulimia too. Being able to make all buttons etc disappear would be good with an easy gesture, two finger press or whatever. It would make for a better reading experience in my view. I don't know whether this app was developed with knowledge of research into blurred vision etc or not. Might be worth some reading by the developer if not. Readability of buttons could be adjusted. Customizable gestures I would like. Having different customizable modes like... Reading, Gardening, 2 differed night vision modes, Wildlife, Specimen mode for scientific researchers (not just for researchers at Cambridge University ;).Version: 1.8.4
✓ Bad from startI downloaded the app. Then I opened it. Immediately the evaluation pop up appeared. It gave 2 choices—either that it’s ok or that it is excellent. It expected me to evaluate it before I used it. There was no way to get rid of the evaluation box other than to say it is ok or best ever. And this before I magnified a single thing. In my mind this calls into question every evaluation for this app—anyone who uses it had to evaluate it as ok or excellent. It may be excellent but I don’t know. So I won’t open it again nor will I give even an “it’s ok” since I couldn’t use it. My evaluations mean something and are honest..Version: 1.6.9

So if you are trying to write and read something at the same time, it can be hard to see as the view picks up any slight movement and magnifies it. ✓ Bait and Switch Tactics UsedAs soon as I can, I am going to delete this app because of what they have done without warning. When I went into the app to verify that it was still working, they advertised 4 additional features that I could have “free”, if I would watch 4 ads. I did, and then they wrote, “You have these features free for 15 days.” OKAY, SO WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THAT? DO YOU START BILLING ME AN EXORBITANT FEE FOR THOSE FEATURES? My only complaint would be that you can not pull up/use another app simultaneously (texts, emails, Facebook, etc.) while using this app. Also too many adds which pop up and block what I’m doing at the slightest shake or movement. ✓ ShutoffII’m not totally computer illiterate, I can find the “settings” icon. The problem I’m having is that I can’t find a shutoff to get rid of it. When I accidentally got the lens, I couldn’t get rid of it. So I guess I’ll delete the app and get rid of the problem the hard way. ✓ CameraMy camera doesn’t work. 😢 I have hard time reading some texts, and I love reading to my guinea pigs at bedtime, but some books have small texts and are hard to read. I was hoping this would work but it didn’t. On my phone I even have the text full size so I can see it really easily. It’s not your app it’s my stupid phone. If it did work I would of given a five star review but I can’t. It has all the features just the part that should be able to zoom in on is black. Nothing will work. It is even hard for me to read my review, but I can see the letters on my keyboard just fine. 😁 I would love your app if I could love this phone, but how can a girl love her phone when she can’t take selfies and zoom in on words while reading to her guides pigs? ✓ Dark Mode is NOT a free feature on this APP!False Advertising and deception is what had me choose this APP. You have to pay for the Datk Mode option. I am legally blind with glaucoma, I need the dark mode but this deception has led me to delete this APP because I could not trust that you are trying to access other personal information in charging me for the dark mode option. This is Deception and Trickery. If you will charge for datk mode then just say the charge is $1.99 a year. ✓ Bordering on Fraud.My partner and I were looking for an app to magnify prescriptions and misc. I looked through the listings and saw that this app included family share for up to six users. Perfect. It’s actually a big fat lie. Up to an unlimited number of people can download this free version, not just six like they say. But it says In-app purchases cannot be shared. So when you upgrade via the in app purchase, your family members can’t get the full version. It’s a total ripoff and terribly dishonest. And though you can buy the full version outright, with family members access and no in app purchases available, it does not show up under Other Apps by this developer. You have to search for it yourself. Quite simply they are deceiving you, getting you to download the free version then not letting you share it DO NOT UPGRADE THIS APP IF YOU WANT TO SHARE WITH FAMILY MEMBERS. LOOK FOR THE FULL VERSION AND PURCHASE IT DIRECTLY OR YOU WILL GET BILLED TWICE. This is really shameful behavior and Apple should intervene..Version: 1.6.4
