Zwift Companion for Negative User Reviews

Would be nice if this ever connected to ZwiftI have tried for three months to get the companion to connect to Zwift on my Mac Mini M1. Followed every instruction to the letter (and there are hundreds online with the same issues) but still does not work. This app does not even ask for permission to connect to local network devices so how do the developers expect it to connect to Zwift? Just bad programming … if you want to fix a problem, acknowledge there is a problem..Version: 3.31.1

Login Fail & Poor Support To DateI haven’t been able to login into the companion app for weeks - it’s been impossible since I bought the membership. I’ve even emailed yourselves and I am still waiting on a response. I’ve downloaded the newest/updated versions so many times I’ve lost count and I have turned off my mobile multiple times already. When I attempt to login or even reset the password, it tells me ‘ooops, something went wrong’ and proceeds to tell me it doesn’t recognise my email address!! This is random and bonkers considering I am logging into zwift via laptop and all is ok AND to add insult to injury, my partner logged into the companion app with my details and all was ok!!!.Version: 3.13.1

Hopeless Apple Watch ImplementationFirstly, the need to use a bridging app between your Apple Watch and iPad so that an Apple Watch can be used as a heart rate monitor is ridiculous. This is 2022, not 2002. For such a popular application, Zwift or apple should be able to figure out how to make a more direct connection. Using your Apple Watch as a heart rate monitor when you use Zwift on the iPad is nearly impossible. You have to use the companion app on the iPhone to bridge the connection and 99% of the time it fails or looses connection after a few minutes. It’s literally the most infuriating experience when trying to concentrate on a ride. Otherwise, the app is quite good. The menus are simple and easy to navigate..Version: 3.32.0

OK but missing some featuresThe Companion app is a bit strange. It is a handy tool to communicate with other riders but is not useful in planning rides in Zwift or monitoring your progress. There’s no easy way to view your XP but you can see your Drops even though you can’t use them in the Companion app. You can’t configure your rider avatar. There is a round-about way to view routes to plan what route you’re going to take on but it’s very difficult to see what routes are on rotation and which you haven’t completed. The leader board is meaningless. If you run the Zwift app on another device it’s a pain to have to go there to do things like configure your training plan. I guess this app would be less disappointing if there was another app to do such thing’s quickly..Version: 3.51.1

Drop outDrops out during chat in workout regularly..Version: 3.48.0

Needs connectivity workGreat in theory and WHEN it’s working. Fed up with having to reboot my iPad/phone/watch every single time just to get my HR to work though. Then once you choose a route it stops and you have to reboot your phone/watch again to force it to work…. Admittedly this is party apples fault for not broadcasting HR like every other fitness tracker..Version: 3.42.0

The basics work but,You do need to know where all the features are hiding (where to touch on screen) to unlock all the information but all in all a good experience..Version: 3.38.0

Regular connection issuesRegular connection issues with my Mac desktop - Apple just did an iPhone update and now zwift companion doesn’t work yet again with my iMac on Monterey. Tech is such a hassle..Version: 3.41.1

Is zwift ran by chimpanzees or humans? In my opinion chimpanzees could probably do a better job of running a business. What kind of idiot morons can accept my order and they successfully take my money but they are not even making deliveries when it states clearly on their website that they are?.Version: 2.2.4

BrokenThe zwift companion app is completely broken recently with it just sitting on the blue intro screen and/or connects then drops out. There are about of threads on the zwift forums with hundreds of people reporting on the issue but zwift has NOT taken action..Version: 3.30.0

Just doesn’t workI ve tried everything to get the app to go into game mode. I was successful once for 5min..Version: 3.31.1

Need to fix the Apple Watch bugTrying to use this app is an exercise in frustration. Sometimes it will pair with Apple Watch, sometimes it won’t. Sometimes, apparently just for fun, it will pair and then lose the pairing in the middle of the ride. Consequently it is completely useless for doing any kind of actual target training workout as you can’t see your HR. As an added note, my Apple Watch works PERFECTLY with apple fitness and other apps so it’s NOT an issue with hardware or anything to do with the OS; it’s 100% on the Zwift side. I keep hoping someone there actually cares about user experience and will fix this but update after update goes by with no improvement. It’s a real shame because if it weren’t for the amateur-hour implementation this would be a great app..Version: 3.42.0

Not impressedMy Zwift crashed again today that makes two out of three rides. Not worth the $20 a month.Version: 3.32.0

WorkoutI love that you can run zwift on pc and companion app on your phone when you ride. I like it Especially during individual or group workouts because the phone will connect to the computer and show you the session breakdown up close. The only problem is that it often kicks you out sometimes multiple times in one session. I have current updates for both apps on both devices. 🤷🏻‍♀️.Version: 3.49.1

Missing one critical featureZwift workouts are fantastic, and skipping forward on blocks can make sense. Not having the ability to skip back to a previous block is absolutely terrible! My sweat hit my phone and tricked the companion app to think I wanted to skip all remaining blocks over an hour into the workout! I had no way to go back and finish what I started without restarting the workout… This missing functionality created a terrible user experience today..Version: 3.45.0

Login problemsI keep getting “invalid email or password” I know its correct as it’s worked on multiple devices and their website. I have a hard time justifying this as a monthly expense when even the login is buggy. I tried the chat function for support on their website, that isn’t working either. I tried resetting my password and the link doesn’t work. Get it together guys. Maybe I’ll update my rating when i can actually logon but for now I’m unimpressed with the functionality. I don’t usually leave reviews but I’ve never had an issue with another app with something so simple as logging in.Version: 3.31.1

Zwift Integration StinksThe most poorly piece if integrated software I’ve ever had the displeasure to use. The integration manager should be dismissed along with any and all integration staff who have not highlighted its deficiencies. That is of course assuming there is an integration team. Kindergarten stuff..Version: 3.32.0

Useful but...The concept of Zwift is powerful in training and staying fit. Would’ve been 5-star but the software itself is less than desirable. Many usability issues. Most of the customization features and historical metrics such as achievements or PR can’t be accessed unless you start a ride. Icons/features are not explained and users are asked to consult old online documentations and 3rd party sites and forums rather than them building them into the UI properly. Stability is also a problem. Both mobile apps have crashing problems and Bluetooth connectivity problems especially in workout mode that add plenty of frustrations to the ride..Version: 3.16.0

Apple watch Support is flakeyFirst off, I love riding in Zwift! However, trying to pair my apple watch to Zwift through my phone while riding on my ipad is exceptionally frustrating. My watch will say its paired, but cannot read my heart rate. This comes up in the ipad screen as "connection failure". I've tried restarting all of my devices (multiple times) to no avail. I read some forums on the issue and it seems like it's pretty common. That said, the stuff all worked a couple weeks ago, and having to worry about my gear takes me out of the ride..Version: 3.31.1

Great when it works...This is a great app, makes the interaction with zwift so much better but it never seems to connect I tried again when I did my ride today and nothing usually after a minute or so it will connect then disconnect and I will restart the app and it may or may not work. Tried over 7 Times while I was riding tonight and even deleted and reinstalled the app... cmon I can’t be the only one with issues.Version: 3.9.0

Apple TV issuesI have a Saris H3 controllable trainer that works fine with Apple TV without use of the companion app, but since Apple TV has only had 2 Bluetooth inputs I need the companion app if I want to use more, such as using a Sterzo steering device. When using the companion app, you lose all of the resistance changes when encountering gradient changes.. the trainer goes from smart to dumb, which is dumb. I’ve tried everything to reset everything but cannot get it to work. In short, don’t bother using the companion app with Apple TV, it just doesn’t work as it should..Version: 3.24.0

I want to love this AppSeriously...I’ve tried repeatedly to get this app to work either on my laptop or phone. I’ve downloaded the companion, the desktop version and I can never get this to sync properly. Nothing is intuitive about making this run. It reads the Wahoo Cadence and Speed trackers, will even register my RPM, but I’ve only been able to move my avatar once in every attempt. I’m sure it’s just me and my ability but I’m done trying. I would LOVE to be able to engage with this but there are just too many bugs. Too many device connections and not enough explanation. Forget about the Help function...the light is on, but no one is home..Version: 3.19.1

Used to work, support needs improvingThis app worked great for past 2 years. Suddenly, 3 weeks ago, ZC stopped showing live map view and I can no longer see map or drop group ride on’s. After I ride, my activity eventually posts to companion app, but nothing is in real-time since this started 3 weeks ago. I’ve reached out to support, completed all their “steps”, but find it frustrating I’m paying $14 for a service and the majority of their support is sending me to FAQ boards, community posts, or deferring to Apple as culprit. Nothing, NOTHING, has changed in my hardware and set up. Everything was working fine for over 2 years. Now it’s not. Please fix it Zwift. Please have a customer service team option that allows a conversation with an actual person, please don’t push this off to Apple. Just acknowledge the issue, tells us, the users what may have caused this-your message boards are full of other posts complaining about this-and why it suddenly changed recently, and just fix it or tells when you will fix it. Thanks.Version: 3.45.0

SOOOO glitchyThe Companion app will not stay connected during a ride. It’ll disconnect for 20 min at a time and nothing helps — rebooting app, phone, toggling wifi and Bluetooth...nothing helps. The chat function is also terrible lately. It comes up in every group ride. Today, my group bike ride had the chat from a group run in it. Two days ago, people couldn’t see half the messages from riders and leads. Support for this is poor at best. Try finding a way to submit feedback — it’s not easy. Docking a star now because none of this has been fixed in the last two years..Version: 3.33.0

BuggyCompanion rarely pairs when using Zwift on a PC. It’ll flip between passive mode to ‘in use’ mode, but then switches back when you move your iPhone. This app has potential but needs better manpower behind the actual coding. Do better Zwift and fix this bug that’s been annoying for years!!.Version: 3.49.1

Zwift’s Achilles HeelPreface, I really enjoy Zwift and think it’s a great platform. However, the Companion App is rubbish. My main Zwift setup is the latest generation Apple TV, iPhone 11 Pro, Apple Watch 6, Wahoo cadence sensor, and a Wahoo Kickr. I’m very familiar with using Bluetooth and what causes issues. Since the Apple TV has limited Bluetooth connections I have to use the companion app. Using HR with the Apple Watch through the companion app works about 10% of the time. Generally in the initial connection the Apple Watch will connect, and transmit HR. When actually getting into the game the watch says pairing, and Zwift says no signal. For about a week I had ok luck if before each ride I deleted all the Zwift apps, power cycled all the devices and then reinstalled the apps. I’ve tested just about every combination, the weak link is the companion app. I’ve been using Zwift for 5 years now. If I was a new user going through this I doubt I’d stick with it out I’d frustration. At this point I’m hooked..Version: 3.21.1

Enable garage in companionAmazing how the option to look at some stats and the garage is not available in the companion app?.Version: 3.14.0

Cannot connect to zwiftI have trouble shooted every solution offered and it still doesn’t connect to zwift.Version: 3.43.0

Lost potential.Like all things Zwift it is confusing and the graphics are poor. Feels like the app suffers from legacy design choices, that Zwift wasn’t able to predict. Still a great platform and game. Would be nice if you could change your bike and outfit via the app..Version: 3.43.0

What is going on?!It’s not normal, considering the monthly cost of Zwift, that Companion doesn’t work for workouts since latest updates. When cycling, it goes automatically it running mode. Please solve this asap!.Version: 3.43.2

New version lost gage for watts and training planVery frustrating the update took away the wattage gauge and training plan….Version: 3.34.0

Delivers so little when used with Apple TVI feel deeply let down by this app. All I want to do is connect up more than 2 Bluetooth sensors using Zwift when using an Apple TV. Despite trying over several days I have never managed to do this. I am reasonably technically savvy, follow instructions well but I guess I am unlucky? All other apps on my iPhone will connect to my sensors but not this one. I guess Zwift will say it’s Apple and Apple will say it’s Zwift. I guess everyone will say it’s Bluetooth (ant+ works flawlessly with my MacBook and a dongle) or blame me. All I can say is if I can set up a home network and configure a 4 drive nas It can’t be me can it?.Version: 3.18.0

A lot of BugsIf you are using Apple TV and the Mobile Link, just recognize that there are a lot of bugs. Zwift is a great concept, but they seem to rush enhancements to the detriment of the riders. Documentation isn’t that good, and support acts like every bug reported is news to them, while there are a lot of comments about those issues and bugs on their website from users. If you can deal with all that, go for it. If you don’t want to spend most of your ride troubleshooting connections, connect via a computer instead of the sloppy TV OS and iOS apps..Version: 2.1.11

Would be 5 stars but...Apple Watch pairing for HR is fiddly! Can't understand why you can't just pair at the same time as other equipment. Instead you have to wait for session or workout to start, go to menu in game and it doesn't even pause your workout. Recently, I can pair Watch this way but it perpetually closes the companion app on my watch and I get no heart rate with my rides so am forced to use Workout app on Watch. Apple Watch accounts for half of smart watch sales globally, should be a priority to ensure this remains working. Also, please add the garage to the companion app so I don't have to start a session in order to customise my rider..Version: 3.8.0

Great when it worksDespite having one router one network with one SSID this app regularly fails to connect when I’m riding. The only way I can get it to work, when it stops working, is to delete the app and reinstall it! Lovely features when it works. Could do with having completed and to do badges available in the app and also a way of finding out when those you follow are training or racing..Version: 3.9.0

Needs to make ChangesZwift in general is INCREDIBLE. However it feels they have made certain things VERY difficult. Like if I want to watch a friend race / ride, I have to have two devices open or something. I can’t simply click on his profile and press watch, which is how it should be. Also I’m not able to to change my bike/ jersey without actually having to go onto zwift and onto a ride, it needs updating so that you can do it from companion..Version: 3.15.1

Pourquoi 2 app quand une seul suffiraitPourquoi faire simple quand on peut faire compliqué.Version: 3.50.1

Consistently poor Apple Watch experienceThe Apple Watch application should be stand alone. Communication directly to the Applletv application would be a much more consistent experience..Version: 3.30.1

Apple Watch issueLove this app but for some reason the Apple Watch app no longer connects to the iPhone app meaning I can’t see my heart rate. I’ve got the latest updates, tried closing and restarting the app but nothing seems to work..Version: 3.26.1

Not happyDoesn’t update progress of a program. I have completed two out of four rides this week from the FTP program, yet this fails to show on the Zwift Companion app..Version: 3.22.1

No support for iPhone users!Until this app gets sorted out with in-game controls on iPhone 14s running iOS 16, this app is barely what it props itself up to be..Version: 3.44.1

Currently having issuesSince updating my iPhone IOS 15 this app is very hit and miss. It regularly doesn’t open at all and just stays on the blue Zwift opening page. When open it and scrolling through activities there are black gaps where an activity is but not loading on my screen, I have to scoll past it and the scoll back up for it to load, and sometimes doesn’t go into riding mode immediately. Please address these issues as the app is essential to get the most out of our Zwift subscription.Version: 3.30.0

Dont bother if you have a old iPhone!I hate the throw away society we have....Ok so i have an old iphone 6 since jan 2015 its now the end of 2021. This app refuses to load and when you want to chat to other riders it goes to the main screen when your sweating your body out! I am paying a monthly subscription to zwift. It would be nice if they just said you have an old phone and you cant use it, instead it says you can. Well i have deleted it reinstalled it and its doing it again....come on zwift...i cant ride on! 😂😡.Version: 3.30.0

Doesn’t workIt doesn’t matter how many times I uninstall and reinstall I still can’t make it work or give ride ons in the game or use any if the functions. It used to work but it doesn’t anymore..Version: 3.52.0

Frustrating Watch GlitchesSometimes it connects to the watch. Mostly not. Even if it does connect it might just drop whenever. Fix it..Version: 3.51.1

EventsThe events function hasn’t loaded for a couple of days.Version: 3.48.0

Latest update failCompanion does not sync with app since latest update. Map attempts to connect for a second then craps out. Can register for events but will not activate start with main app. Bug fixes required. iPad iOS 15.1..Version: 3.30.1

Nice but will not CalibrateThis app is. A nice addition and allows you to do most of the functions of Zwift but I have a huge complaint about calibration. I follow the calibration every time since I have a wheel on Smart trainer and it only calibrated once out of I don’t know how many. Now I need to make sure I have just the right tire pressure or each route will give me different feedback on the resistance. Very annoying. And yes I disconnect and calibrated straight from my AppleTV and that only worked twice. All others no dice..Version: 3.20.0

ITS A GAMEThere’s a lot of people here and obviously the graphics are not moving forward but everyone takes it to seriously and makes it not enjoyable for people just wanting to get fit and pay the same subscription .. disappointed.Version: 3.32.0

Poor tech supportI have been trying to get support from them for using a Apple Watch. Going on 3 weeks now. It seems like you request support and it takes several days to get a response and then they ask questions and it takes another few days. Like I said 3 weeks now and my watch still does not work with Zwift. Every other app works fine but Zwift. I am about to suspend my subscription. I thought the cable companies were bad with support but I have found someone worse than Comcast.Version: 2.2.2

Doesn’t work very oftenMostly doesn’t actually realise I’m currently Doing a program so can’t use it to pause. Can’t seem to get Bluetooth devices to be recognised on it very often. Can’t enter custom workouts on it. So basically a way to see if other people have gone for a ride or I’ve got like. that’s also known as Strava..Version: 3.11.1

GlitchingThe filter function for activities won't reset, so I now have a tiny set of choices, none of which I'm interested in..Version: 3.32.0

Useful, but needs workFor people who run Zwift on a computer, having the means to interact with Zwift from the handlebar is plenty useful. I do wish they’d work on way that data displayed What I would like is a GPS-style screen, where I can pick the data fields I want to see. For example: front and centre during group rides would be watts/kilo (the app instead gives priority to outright wattage), which is currently quite well hidden your own entry in the list of Zwifters..Version: 3.1.3

Random disconnects...Tired of random drop outs and random connections. Devices all easily within range. All Bluetooth enabled. Every time get on Zwift there’s some connectivity issue and it’s not the same thing every time. The only thing that isn’t random is that every ride there’s some kind of connectivity issue....Version: 3.10.1

Could be a lot betterCurrently this app works fine but could be a lot better. Functionality to access more in game features, garage, drop shop, missions. Being able to select a section of ride (for example 10 mins) and see the average watts, hr and cadence. I also use this on my iPad Pro and not my phone and this app works on the iPad but not really compatible (iPhone resolution in middle of iPad screen or stretched).Version: 3.13.1

Issues with companion appCompanion is automatically lacking onto photos on my iPhone under privacy setting without my permission. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it serval times and only when I sign in does the app connect to privacy under photos please correct this. This should only apply if you add a photo and the app needs to access the photo section to add. Other than that this should not be doing this on my iPhone without my permission. Also it won’t let me take it off unless I delete the app but once I install it again it pops up. Please fix.Version: 3.45.0

IPadShould support screen split on iPad. How do they not think of this… Poor CX….Version: 3.32.0

RubbishRubbissb.Version: 3.38.0

Navigation and relationships need improvingA bit flaky, goes from map to home without touching the screen. Can’t find map easily. Can’t find friends to ride with easily either. Interface and navigation needs more work, but love the concept and ideas...Version: 3.19.1

Going when it worksI don’t know this is because I am using an iPhone and MacBook but the app only occasionally works as it should. Today for example I paused a workout 45 mins in and went for a comfort break. When I returned I couldn’t restart it whatever I did - very frustrating!.Version: 3.42.0

Typically I love using thisOkay I’ve been using this with the KICKR for almost 3 weeks now. It changed my entire riding game, so thank you, BUT it fails 2 times per week without fail! All of my devices connect perfectly but since the companion app stops reading my watt, heart rate, and cadence than the whole bike component becomes useless. I like to wake up early to complete my works, like 5:45-6am early. Imagine actually being on time to your ride and it failing THREE TIMES. Trust me it’s not fun. Again, I’m a huge fan, but when things like this continuously happen it’s SUPER FRUSTRATING..Version: 2.4.3

Apple Watch problemsNormally I’d give the Zwift Companion app a higher rating, but have struggled for a while with connecting my Apple Watch heart rate and when I do get it linked it’ll drop connection while riding. Contacted Zwift support and all they said was Zwift no longer supports Apple Watch!!! No explanation or suggestions; unimpressed..Version: 3.42.0

Nice but could use some fine tuning (or I need to find out if I’m the problem)I do like this APP, a great compliment to Zwift. Recently though I’ve been having trouble with some of the tools. For example, while riding in Zwift the map doesn’t come on or stay on if it does appear. That’s a challenge when my laptop is more than an arms length away and I want to activate one of the boosts..Version: 3.30.0

Bluetooth dropoutSo incredibly frustrating, I can be racing or just riding with this app. Using an AppleTV with the app I’m having a nightmare to pair my Bluetooth and it just keeps going around in circles with asking to pair. Once I am fully up and paired the Bluetooth will drop out at anytime from the app, however all other devices are still pair and working. I then have to go around with trying to connect all over again. It’s like the iPhone app isn’t talking to the Apple TV app..Version: 3.46.0

No longer supports older devicesI am disappointed that support for older devices has been removed. Previously I was able to use an old iPhone 4S and it functioned perfectly well whilst also being used to play music. The app does what it does well, but more and more bells and whistles keep getting added..Version: 3.13.0

Most unreliable and frustrating app I have ever usedI have found Zwift and it companion app the most frustrating and unreliable experience I have ever had in try to get fit. The Zwift concept is great but I have seldom managed to finish a route or a ride without some technical glitch. The latest was riding a london route and almost at the top of box hill after climbing for 10 min the app turns me around takes me down the hill and kicks me off the route I was doing. No way to stop it and get back in. There is no simple user guide to using the app. All trouble shooting has to be done through forums and it is a struggle to get upto date a reliable information. I am starting a search tonight to find another training game as this one has wasted so much of my time.Version: 3.53.0

FairApp is good for some things, like giving multiple Ride Ons to people around you, but there are still some ways it could be a lot easier, such as letting you search rather than having to scroll through all the rides that day. I also wish there was a place where you could look things such as your badges or your 90-day PRs on the various climbs & sprints.Version: 3.42.0

Still not connecting on ios16 and Apple TVIt’s been over a month now and the companion app is still not connecting with the AppleTV app..Version: 3.41.0

Recent Issues Render the App UselessThe last 2 weeks have been a disaster after pretty reliable performance previously. The app simply will not keep up with my rides on Zwift. Power ups have become totally hit and miss, chat function hopeless!! Please fix whatever bug is causing this!.Version: 3.38.0

Superficial dataIt’s annoying that data from kom result or segment and ranking are not available.Version: 3.33.0

IOS 14.5 break?Since I updated the iOS the map feature no longer works when I’m riding. The map shows up but does not show where I am on it. It also does not display stats (watts/rpm/hr,etc) The ability to make turns does not work either. After saving a ride and going back to view it, the map does not display in the activity, it gets minimized to the upper corner of where the map should display. All buggy. Very weird.Version: 3.25.0

Training plansI cannot see what my upcoming plans are... I have deleted the app and downloaded it again and updated and it still does not work..Version: 3.0.2

OMGReally? That’s your fix for the last non-rotating app written for a tablet? Shrink the whole display to the smallest aspect ratio possible and allow the device to simply rotate the display… I think that’s he laziest thing I’ve seen in years… Bravo, I love extremes. Just don’t like paying for the bad extremes..Version: 3.32.0

Stop your massive updates right before the workout! Why does Zwift decide to ask me to download half of the internet when I go for a workout? And there’s no way to skip it! It’s an app, not a website, why do I have to download so often?.Version: 3.40.3

IPhone & Apple Watch No longer SyncIPhone & Apple Watch No longer Sync at all to IPad after latest Zwift update… Update: Randomly companion on IPhone and Apple Watch started working during ride. Will update again after next ride on if still an issue. Update: My Schwinn IC5 had difficulty connecting to IPad. Never an issue before. Apple Watch still difficult to connect. Zwift still needs to work on seamlessly connecting devices..Version: 3.49.1

Essential but way too many dropoutsThe title says it all but I get way too many drop outs on the Companion App vs actual Zwift, which leads me to believe that this is not solely due to my internet connection..Version: 3.14.0

Update issues and crashes. The latest update has broken the program and interaction with strava. Too many rides partially or fully lost within Zwift. Let’s hope this gets better in the next few days. There is nothing else to do in lockdown..Version: 3.26.1

Why doesn’t my Apple Watch ever pair?Super frustrating and time consuming trying to get the watch Zwift companion to work..Version: 3.29.0

Still needs work to do!It is still very primitive version of the app. Need to provide more information about the ride.. Like normalized power. Etc..Version: 3.42.0

Chat not popping upFrustrating.Version: 3.43.0

Great on paper, poor in practiceI’ve been using Zwift for about 9 months now and was turned onto the app and indoor smart trainer cycling in response to the pandemic. Zwift itself is a really well-thought-out tool for keeping training or general fitness fun, but the apps (both companion and the main app) are plagued by bugginess, unreliability, and total functionality breakdowns pretty much every time they update. I run a Saris smart trainer, Zwift on my iPad Pro, Companion on my iPhone 11 Pro and companion on my Apple Watch series 5 for heart rate monitoring - I think all these things have worked, without issue, one time in nine months. Usually, if the mobile apps are working, the watch won’t connect; if the watch is working, companion on my phone isn’t working. As recently as today, my workout recorded in Health, pushed to Strava, but companion seems to think I did no such workout. As previous reviewers have stated, Zwift refers to their knowledge base and forums where you have to go spelunking for hodgepodge solutions that will break with the next update. I like Zwift, I’d love it if it worked reliably..Version: 3.20.2

Companion app not going into ride modeIt has been over two weeks and it still isn't connecting. Please fix this..Version: 3.40.2

Constantly dropsI use zwift on a high end PC and companion on iPhone 13. Companion app constantly drops since yesterday for me. It disconnects all my gear and I have to stop and reconnect. Happened 5 times in my 1 hour ride today. Please do something..Version: 3.44.1

Apple Watch issueZwift Companion no longer tracks my heart rate on the Apple Watch. Blue tooth connection lost. No problems before update.Version: 3.8.0

Great app idea (when it works)I love Zwift and love the idea of being to put my phone in the smartphone holder on my bike to have all my stats and be able to interact with other users and make edits to the game screen without getting up to pause on my Mac. However, this app doesn’t work half the time. Sometimes my stats don’t show up at all on the screen. And, I’ve only been able to pair my Apple Watch for heart rate with it once with multiple tries which is disappointing because I have to set up a separate indoor cycling workout to get that data. If those bugs were fixed, I was give this 5 stars for sure..Version: 3.33.0

Not up to scratchFirstly let me say I’m a huge Zwift fan and have been for two and bit years. I love the main program but this companion app is frustrating beyond comparison and not up to the high standard you grow to expect from Zwift. It (the ZC app) frequently crashes especially since iOS 13 launched. It’s even more frustrating as it’s needed to boost the BLE connections to the main program if you’re using Apple TV to Zwift, so to have it crashing means you lose data and connections for whatever you’re feeding via the ZC app (in my case a cadence sensor). It could be so much more than it is, has enormous potential but under realised and poorly supported, the customer support team will point the blame at almost anything else except themselves. I live in hope of a fix, in the meantime; beware of its limitations and if you’re not using it as a companion to the Apple TV I’m sure it’s a great addition to being more social on Zwift. Ride-on!.Version: 3.9.0

No connectionZwift companion which on my cell isn’t connecting anymore to my live workout.Version: 3.53.0

Does NOT work with Apple WatchI tried using the zwift app on my iphone as well as the zwift app on my ipad with the companion app on my iphone and neither worked. Both apps connect to Apple Watch on the pairing screen for both running speed and heart rate but neither work. Runner just stands there bot moving and heart rate shows as “- -“. I only downloaded this app because I am looking for a treadmill workout compatible with Apple Watch but this one isn’t it! I spent about 2 hours total trying to get it to work and never did, finally gave up after searching online and finding others saying it never works or if it does, only shortly then disconnects. Seems like others say it works better for cycling but definitely not running!.Version: 3.0.2

Really wish they would sort out the Apple Watch HR issuesThe app and platform is generally really good. Just 2 quibbles: - using Apple Watch for heart rate is almost impossible. I’m not buying another device. It either won’t pair or you have to stop the race / event / ride to pair it. Even then it isn’t stable and keeps cutting out or just freezing. I really don’t understand why they can’t make this work better. - it is almost impossible to see the profile of your ride. It would be great if a clear profile was visible so that you can see what is coming up the road and how long for. Knowing you have a 3 km incline at 5% would really help me to gauge my effort. The info you get on serious climbs is great. Why not have something similar (maybe trimmed down, a bit) for the rest of the route?.Version: 3.21.1

Very helpful, but missing critical dataI like this app and find it quite useful, both to keep track of my own riding but also to stay up with other Zwifters. However, it’s missing two important pieces of data, which would make it so much more useful as a ride planning tool: it does not show badges, and it does not show progress towards challenges like Everest..Version: 3.26.1

DisappointedThe map does not always sinq to the app. Frustrating to say the least. You’d think theyvwould have that ironed out by now. The program is not cheap 🤷‍♂️.Version: 3.41.0

Great idea but needs work.Nice app but the Bluetooth connection to the app on my Mac and sensors are poor. Im using Wahoo equipment- Kickr, cadence and Tickr. My connection to the sensors keeps dropping after a few minutes of use. Hopefully this will improve soon..Version: 1.6.1
