✓ Amazing GameI played a bunch of Great Big War Game about 5 years ago and that was my favorite game for such a long time. I just recently decided to get that game again and found this. This game he so many improvements. I love the base building. Being able to see everything on the map unlike before is pretty cool, it's not good or bad and a different kind of strategy compared to the other game. The only thing I do not care for is the graphics. The older one seemed to be better but I can't quite tell why, just seems better to me. The base building can get a little too fast pace at some points where you have an insane amounts of buildings and turrets etc. Overall though amazing game..Version: 1.1

Just a few suggestions: I wonder if you guys can add a Special Force oriented faction into the game, like an upgraded version of the Grunts, Grenadiers, Snipers, and Main Battle Tanks, like new model and changes to damage and all. However, the commando is removed from the faction and the units are like 20-30% more expensive. Yet another update: Now I’m pretty sure you are beginning to hate me, lord knows you think I burned out my thumbs writing this entire review, but I came up with another idea, actually two ideas: create your own map (not like the Skirmish MM, which is a step in the right direction) and create custom games and rules. The MM in the current game is great, but it not only gets annoying trying to find a perfect map but it’s also kind of boring clicking that randomize button every time. So, instead, you would have the ability to completely create your own map from scratch and upload it onto a new tab in the game. By starting out with a flat piece of land, a player could expand, shrink, heighten or lower the layer to their preference and to their liking. From a dynamic Epic map to a tiny CQC map, it’s up to the player, however they can only make up to like three or four maps. The limit is up to you. HQ placement is also up to the player, like how many can play, where the building will go, etc. Another way to spice up the game is by creating your own game. Skirmish, Online, and Campaign is fine, but creating your own game mode is truly an innovative choice. Here you can choose what the objective for each player can be, whether it is to kill the enemy general or evacuate a base, set limits to certain units, and even make it like a campaign mission. If u really wanted to be revolutionary, u can have players make their own campaign mission and map at the same time! Trust me, it will be fantastic if you do something like that. I guarantee it! Plus u can add a new tab where ppl can share their creations like Super Mario Maker and u can add them into a menu where u can edit them yourself. Just please, I’m dying to see u guys do this! Also: PLEASE UPDATE THE GAME!!! I’M DYING TO SEE A NEW UPDATE FOR THE GAME!!! And can u please add the management of ammo and fuel and the Fog Of War back into the game? Thank you!.Version: 1.1

✓ Amazing war game!If you have played any of the other war games in this series, or ever enjoyed the Advance Wars games, this is a must buy! My only gripe is the placing of buildings. Taking one star off for being unable to rotate the building before building it. Sometimes I should be able to fit a structure on a plot of land, but it's sideways, or the pads for units are on the back side. Still loving it!.Version: 1.1

✓ Best $5 ever spent!This game is a blast to play and very addictive. I highly recommend purchasing this game and giving it a try. For such a small (and sometimes silly) game, there is a ton of serious strategy! The person who recommended it to me said it was like “Age of Empires” (one of my all time favorite games) for the mobile device world, and I completely agree! The main difference between AoE and ELWG is that AoE is a real-time strategy game (RTS) where ELWG is turn-based. I never imagined that a turn-based game could be so much, but it’s incredible! In fact, it’s one of the biggest selling points of the game because it fits in nicely with people who lead busy lives. Don’t have 3 hours to sit down and play a RTS? That’s fine. Take a couple of minutes to think about your move, make it, and end your turn—then get back to your crazy life! This game provided a nice distraction to 2020, and is one of the best strategy games on the App Store. ✓ Awesome addition to the seriesGreat new features. Love the game play and the new AI's. The campaign mode is a little underdone compared to the previous war games but the virtually unlimited variations of skirmish mode more than make up for this. The best part about the WG series is that each one (GLWG, GBWG and ELWG) is different in its own right. By far the best turned based game out there. Well worth the cost. If your new to the series, try one of the previous games and get hooked there first. Would like to see more island based maps for naval warfare and hopefully some expansion packs become available other even more new units..Version: 1.0

✓ Awesome gameI have played this game every day since I first got it. Provides several hours of great entertainment. I have exhausted the provided Epic and large maps many times over and have to use the custom generator. My request is for more premade large and epic maps or adjust the custom generator so that I can choose the size of the map I want. A cheat sheet with basic codes to create bigger maps would do. Again , great game with hours of fun. Maybe another higher level of difficulty would not hurt too..Version: 1.1
✓ Give These Devs Some Love!Absolutely amazing game, even in its current state with only being out a few weeks, I still find myself coming back for more of the fun no wacky yet rewarding gameplay, I use to love playing with toy soldiers when I was a kid and that feeling is back! Clearly the developers at Rubicon *do* know what's going on! Great work folks!! Latest update is causing a lot of crashing on an iPad Air 2. Day 24 of Mission 11. ✓ Epic by name, epic by natureI've played all of the war game series and loved them so much I've played most of them twice. I am not disappointed with the latest instalment. The AI seems balanced as do the units. Each game takes 20 mins to half an hour and it's easy to dip in and out of. If your a veteran of these games I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you've never played this series before then buy the war game bundle first, then when you've played them to death then buy Epic. ✓ Missing Fog of War and Hail MaryELWG is OK, but it’s not GBWG. Without “fog of war” — distant enemy units are invisible — you cannot gain tactical surprise. Everyone sees every attack coming. Without Hail Mary, the game drags on long after it has become obvious who will win. Hail Mary’s function was to put the loser out of his misery quickly. To be fair, this is still a very good game. ✓ Good kittle war gameGood game and VERY similar to ‘Great Big War Game’ its ancestor. A few new units & effects. Key difference is ability to build a base, which could not be done in the original (you stole barracks and factories instead). This new version has 20-odd campaign maps, but maps are disappointing, compared to the maps from the original which seemed more ‘real’ and clearly more thought went into creating them. ✓ Huge fan highly recommendedIt's a good entry in the series brings back some key futures like online and stuff aswell as adding a new fresh coat of paint you can build your base with new futures such as sandbags new turrets and a new power future were power keeps your turrets online so it's essential to defending your power plants to get those defensive turrets an plus they did remove the hacking bases but I can see why because you can build them im not joking build your OWN BASE up to 8 players on the battlefield you can get some crazy Wars going against Ai or human players big maps too there are smaller maps for the 1v1s an for the good ol players but the new stuff is a welcome change of pace I don't write reviews much but I enjoy it I give this game a 5/5 for staying true to its roots but adding new stuff along the way good job guys love the new look aswell.Version: 1.0

✓ IdeaMy name is Quinn, I am 13 and I have an idea for your game. If you have a builder on a ferry you can make things like oil rigs in the water. They can have small bases , actual oil pumps going into the sea and on custom super sized maps you can have your base spawn on a BIG oil platform. You can also have buoys capable of launching under sea torpedoes or hidden air turrets and randomly generated maps can be completely water with islands and platforms for starting bases. There can even be special repair docks for ships on the water and areas in water where you can extract oil will have a black tint to indicate oil below the surface. ✓ Outstanding Turn Based War Machine!!By far the best of the Little War Games series and I've owned them all. The replay-ability is never ending as the map generator is simply insane in how well it works: Both symmetrical and freeform maps in small, medium, large and epic sizes? Yup. Ability to play up to five opponents at once (six armies total) in single player?? Yup. Want to play against a single ai opponent on an epic scale map? You got it. Oh, those random maps I mentioned that look incredibly diverse in layout and setting and style? Map seeds are displayed so you can always replay and share your favorites. The only two things I could ask for are map gen options (size, biome, hill/flat, sym/free, and # of players) and perhaps map rules like limiting building/infantry/vehicle types to truly customize the experience.
