✓ Game 2 ...but trying for a new audience too...This is still a very nice turn-based war game. It has very easy levels early on. But that has to be so that any new players can find out what /how to play. Note****the game doesn't really ever tell you, but...you can leave a wounded soldier/unit on your blue circle door as your turn is ended, and when your turn comes around again, that soldier/unit will be at full charge.*** Yes the 1st game version does seem a bit better.....but I am a big fan of one cost and you get the whole game. Those freemium games are bad. Overall...You will not be too disappointed with this effort of game play..Version: 1.0

✓ Great game, but far too easy.I've played all previous games and for some reason the AI in this game has clearly been reduced, to the point where it quickly gets a bit boring and repetitive, even on the highest (Hard) difficulty setting. The developers have also removed any and all reference to plot, which they had in prior games in the form of the hapless General. Overall, this is really more of a Map Expansion Back, rather than a sequel. Again, solid game play, but it seems like the developers are looking for more of a quick cash influx than anything else..Version: 1.3

✓ More of the same but still goodIf you’ve played the first two you know what you’re in for - they have removed some of the more annoying things (Like fog of war for instance, and the need to refuel / re-arm), but its the same gameplay and mission types. More like an expansion pack rather than a new game. I’m still enjoying it, but if you’ve played the previous two play this one on hard level - You’ll need to to make it challenging!.Version: 1.3
✓ Addictive as heckI love the portrait mode for one-handed goodness. And I just can't stop playing this game. The upgrade system really makes things fun. If you upgrade grunts, it really helps since they're so cheap. This is a nice twist on a great formula..Version: 1.5

✓ Awesome, but needs landscape mode!Love this series (it's my favourite on iOS), and this is a great sequel, only have one issue. I understand why you only have a portrait mode for iPhone, but the iPad version needs landscape mode. It just feels wrong to have to turn it the wrong way to play it after playing the first two versions on iPad. having the option would be great. Until then I'll just play it on my iPhone. Another gripe that pops up later- no save mode! More than once I've been in the middle of a mission and had to stop for work etc, and when I go back to play it later the game had reset and the level I was playing has been erased, meaning I have to start all over again. Even one save slot for times like that would be great..Version: 1.0

✓ It's OKI've always enjoyed these games but this one crashes and/or fails to load quite often. The game itself is almost too easy, but still fun - it doesn't take too long to get through all 60 levels. It's also too dark and adjusting the brightness doesn't make much difference. Some bigger maps would also be nice. I'm sure there's more coming with future updates. At least I HOPE there's more coming. Good entertainment overall for the price; and best of all... NO IN-APP PURCHASES!.Version: 1.4
✓ Great gameThe game is great and I bought it right away thanks to it including everything without in app purchases. My only complaint is that it seems to be slow and stutters when panning around / zooming, especially compared to gbwg. ✓ Great game!It’s a great game! To those that are crying about a dollar or two lost on this if they didn’t have a correct device: SHUT UP, CHEAP SKATE. That isn’t much money, and while I know the campaign is a little.... harsh, I would suggest it to any player that likes a challenge. If you think levels are impossible, I’m on level 30, and that is truly hard, but I will, one day, pass it! So please, to those that think it’s bad... YOU CAN’T DO ANY BETTER, AND RATING THIS BAD BECAUSE OF HARD LEVELS IS STUPID! ✓ Pass n' Play and SkirmishGreat game, it just needs the pass and play feature from GLWG (original) and skirmish so you can practice your skills and not campaign. Love the upgrade your troops! Add skirmish and pass n' play and I'll give five stars. Also, I agree with the others, it's too easy with the computer vs. the first GLWG.Version: 1.2
