✓ Cool but weirdly hard if you read sheet musicThe visual cues on screen don’t match what I hear, which makes it pretty difficult to play. It would be awesome if there was an option to view the patterns written out in notation while playing the game. It would also make the rhythm practice done in the game more practically applicable for musicians (seeing rhythms you play in the game written in notation will make it easy to recognize them immediately in a piece you’re sight reading or whatever). Just my two cents I hope a dev sees this. :).Version: 1.0.7

✓ BuggyRead about this app on Wired and it looked great. Downloaded to my iPhone 5s and it crashes after starting a clapping pattern, then going to a load and very annoying buzzing sound. ✓ Great concept, not fully realizedIt's a great introductory app to the concept of syncopation in music, but it feels too much like a game. The end goal of the game shouldn't be about beating one's best scores, but to perform clapping music with the other people. In that regard, the tapping on screen mechanism in practice mode would work much better if it is replaced by a video of someone doing the baseline beat. So when the user is wearing a headphone, it feels like he is performing the piece with a real person..Version: 1.0.2

✓ Please fix!I'm really excited to use this app; it looks well built. It is malfunctioning at the moment. Tried on iPad (2015) and iPhone 6s Plus, both devices it crashes after one practice session and absolutely will not reopen whatsoever. Deleted and reinstalled the app on both devices without success, the problem prevails. Please fix, Adam Neely's video on clapping music got me pumped to try it!.Version: 1.0.3

✓ Doesn't work with ios9 and other thingsThis is an app I really enjoyed up until I updated to iOS 9! Now it starts to buzz whenever I try to play/practice... Another thing I would enjoy is an ability to play the game with actual clapping, or some way to simply see the patterns without actually playing the game... Clapping music was one of the first pieces I heard of reich, seeing it along Anne Teresa's choreography to it, and it remains one of my favourite early reach piece!.Version: 1.0.2

✓ I really want to like thisIts a great concept for an app and i want it to work so much! but for whatever reason, there's intolerable tapping latency on my iphone xr that makes it basically useless. I hope the developer can fix that. ill check back and change my review if it does. after some more play im increasing my review to 3 stars. the latency seems to be related to using blue tooth head phones. if i play on the iPhone xr speaker, its better. there's still a little too much lag in the sound for my taste, but at least the timing records accurately and doesn't boot you from the game for errors. so its not useless, but dont plan to play with wireless headphones until the developer updates..Version: 1.0.6

✓ Can’t make it workI looks like the app is not accessing the mic on my iPad Air 2. I am a percussionist so I am absolutely certain I am clapping on time but nothing happens. I read someone was having latency issues so I tried displacing my claps a 16th, then an 8th and still nothing happened. It would be useful to add a microphone test in the app. I am sorry to have to rate 1 star since I think I could love this app but so far it has not worked for me..Version: 1.0.6

✓ Just use notation!This app is so frustrating. The authors developed a made-up form of music notation instead of just using standard music notation. ✓ Great concept, but incorrectI love this idea and the app works super well - but the pattern changes are not correct. You’re supposed to move back an eighth note with each change but on the app the first change is a quarter note and the patterns seem generally out of order, which defeats the whole purpose of the piece. And if you clap the piece as the composer wrote it, you fail the game :(.Version: 1.0.4

✓ FrustratingWhy aren’t the rhythms properly phased as written by Steve Reich? It runs phase 1,3.2, etc and the final phase where it should all resolve is phase 7 I.e in the middle. Fun to play but rhythmically makes no sense.Version: 1.0.4

✓ Great app but freezesIt good to see your precision improve as you play. However this good game is buggy, freezing the second time you open the app and wont then open (even if you turn the phone off and on again) i have iphone 4s with all updates installed. (When fixing the bugs it would also be good to add a bit more description about how to play. Eg tap in time with the dots lighting up. If you don't keep time the dots will move up the screen until your go is over. Ignore the grey circles which seem to have no significance).Version: 1.0.1
✓ Clapping is DysfunctionalI have tried this app and have not had success with it. The app does not register when the finger touches the aiming point even when it is correct. It is frustrating and I am waiting for a new version to come out so this problem can be fixed and I can actually use the app for learning purposes. I'm a bit sad that it doesn't use the iPad microphone to hear real hands clapping: you have to tap with one finger on the iPad. As someone who has managed to take seconds of musical ideas and extended it to minutes of banality, it’s not hard to see why 20th century music ruined western art music. ✓ Good idea, not-so-good implementationI really like the idea of an app that lets you play along to this piece, but I have a few issues: (1) as a method of showing the pattern changes, the dots are more confusing than helpful; (2) on my iPhone 5s the lag is enough to register as me not keeping proper time and getting a lower score than I should. I can actually play this piece quite expertly the way it was intended. The fact that I don’t do well with this app is more a problem with its execution than what I do with it..Version: 1.0.0
