✓ Fun - but app is not reliableElectronic card trading is fun—especially when its for a fandom you love. But I’ve been playing since season 1 and the app is not reliable. It crashes during popular releases. There are refresh issues so you end up with “ghost” cards and miss out on awards. The communication about drops is not proofed, so there are lots of errors with odds, mistakes & misunderstandings about card counts and card values. Extraordinarily frustrating—save yourself the trouble—dont even download it. You are better off chasing real physical cards instead of the electronic versions—the physical will at least retain their value—unlike the electronic ones that dont have a stable platform to trade & collect them on..Version: 10.5.1
✓ Was fun, then they changed the rulesUsed to have a great review on here but had to change it. Topps decided that they did not want people to be able to collect all (or basically any) cards without paying so they upped the cost and odds of inserts, making the daily credit amount useless. You can only get 5 packs a day, and the odds go as high as 1:90 to get the inserts. They have made it so that only people willing to fork over a hundred bucks (900,000 credits) every couple of weeks can collect the full set. I understand they are a business, but they did this change of strategy 7-8 weeks in after many people had already started. The main other reason for the poor review is that the community is not willing to trade cards fairly. Everyone is out to rip each other off and it does not create a fun environment. Topps has also shown that they put very little effort into the app/game as it is always riddled with typos, factual errors, repetitive cards and lazy graphic designs when it comes to new cards. They have only addressed major bugs in the system a few times (and to give them credit, they refunded credits or provided special award cards for the players troubles), but that has also dropped off. The final problems with the app is the amount of battery and data it uses. I wouldn't recommend using it on a cell network as the data racks up very quickly. But even when on wifi, it's a major battery drain in my iPhone 6. The amount of data in the cache fills up quickly and causes cards to bounce on the screen and become unresponsive. Clearing the cache works but you have to do it manually and it then means you have to agree to the terms of service in order to comment. It's too bad they let greed take over the app. They could have easily had two versions, one for pay to play and another freemium..Version: 1.0.3
✓ Force collectionThey need to bring back Star Wars force collection because that was the best card game of all time. There was the collecting part which this game has but it had so much more where the cards actually meant something. Whoever is in charge of that decision should bring the game back there are so many people that miss the game.Version: 10.1.1

✓ Lost all my cards!!Hi, I’m an old player returning to the game due to getting a new phone. I used to play this game religiously, spending £100s in th process and collecting some really rare cards, lowest being 5cc. I have logged in to see I’ve lost everything. ✓ Slow unresponsive and expensive!Thought I’d fire this app back up after giving it a rest for a year or so.. and I must say I’m shocked by how slow/laggy and just overall bad the user I interface is. There are just so many things wrong with it.. it’s like an app made 5 years ago and even then it would be bad. A few things I have probs with - trade system always reloading, slow - user interface is clunky and confusing - when purchasing packs it goes back to the top of the screen so I have to scroll down to find the pack again just to open another - the scrolling it laggy and slow - too many animations The game has got very expensive too! The crystals payment method is just insane and turns people away from playing the game. I think Topps needs to be less greedy and look after their community and make it grow.. also learn how to make a decent app please..Version: 9.3.12

✓ SighThis game used to get me so excited in 2015 when it came out. New awesome looking sets that all traded well and it wasnt a cash investment if you didnt want it to be. No longer is this the case. For a while everything was paywalled that was cool looking. Then they made all the cards have 3-5 different colors so that the values of each in trades was nonexistent. They try to have events but their systems crash and breaks all of their apps if this goes down. The admins never respond to support questions or issues had in the app. They have really let this game go. The new interface is counterintuitive and rarely works. Overall i dont enough this game nearly as much as i did and many times have considered stopping playing. But they always promise fixes so i stay but they never come. I guess im the fool for having this app.Version: 11.3.2
✓ Only good feature is trading transactionsEverything else is terrible and making it worse, with new layout changes making it harder and harder to navigate, rather than easier. CRYSTALS are the BIGGEST PROBLEM in the game! No where in the description of this game do they say in order to ever get any decent cards out of a pack, you need to spend real world money and get crystals. There is no other way in the game to earn crystals at all. Remove crystals, make everything on hard earned credits and you’ll have a great game! ✓ Probably the worst app I’ve ever used.I used to be heavily into this app, it was a lot of fun and you didn’t have to spend a fortune to get some good value out of it. The overall experience was good and the design of the app was fine. I don’t know who approved and worked on the current version of the app, but the entire team should be fired. This is the biggest pile of hot garbage I have ever used, and I’ve had to use SAP software! Honestly I can’t use this app anymore. It’s offensive to my eyes. I don’t even understand how to navigate it. The graphics are super low quality. The menu bar sits too low on an iPhone XS. There are SO MANY issues it’s unbelievable. ✓ Love it, still some low hanging fruit thoughLove this app and really enjoy collecting these amazing Star Wars cards. Really enjoying the new curated section, but the app update touts “want to have all your Lando cards in one place?” Then limits the curated collection to 200 cards. 200 sounds like a lot but I have more than that. Would love extra trade filters (active sets, completed sets) to help the trade process. Unfortunately if you mistakenly try to trade for a card that someone has a full set of, their response can be very harsh (that’s a whole other subject). Wish they would move the add comment “+” away from the “accept” button. Return the “X” close button back to the bottom. ✓ Doesn’t work correctlyHave only had this app about a week and had issues from the start. First I lost over 100,000 coins overnight. They were there when I closed the app and gone when I opened it again a few hours later. Now, the app has crashed or something. Can’t access it and get a repeated message to update to continue using, but there is no update and I have the latest version. It was working a few hours ago, now stuck in this stupid update loop that can’t be fixed because there is no newer version for me to update. The collection progress stuff doesn’t work either on many sets. On some it shows I have zero cards of the set, though I have many or have finished it. Many of my cards have images that don’t show up at all. Just a card count number with no way to tell what is on the card. First it was just one or two, but more popping up that way every day now. It’s a confusing layout and not intuitive when trying to figure out certain things (like trading) and too often requires what should be unnecessary extra steps in things like trading and melding. ✓ Unplayable since latest update!Since the update last week I have been having trouble with getting the game to load to start with. If I actually get into the game I get major lag on packs, workbench, lock on & trades (just the 4 keystones of this game), not to mention the events hub just crashes whenever I open it. ✓ Absolute FraudI have been using this app on and off for 5 years now and I am about to delete it to never use again. Recently, there has been an issue that means when you make an in game purchase a bug does not deliver the items paid for, therefore forcing me to contact customer services with an Apple invoice days later to receive the goods - usually after the particulars wave of cards you want to pay for has ended stopping you from completing the set. The most recent case of this, after a long period without it, has left me with 4 weeks of none or poor communication from customer services. They have taken my money and not provided the goods. I have emailed multiple times which are being ignored, and had very poor communication via the in-app support chat which resulted in me being given a generic ‘update app’ message after talking to person that seemed to be on the verge of supplying me what I paid for before disappearing. This is hands down the worst customer service experience I have had on an app provided by the App Store. The app has severely gone down hill in recent years and in my opinion is clearly entering into fraud at this point. Surely it is a deliberate act to ignore paying customers requests for what they paid for. DONT WASTE ANY MONEY ON THIS! APPLE PLEASE INVESTIGATE..Version: 18.1.0

✓ Terrible costs for cards, it’s definitely a pay to win game, and customer support is terrible.The game relies on the player to now buy crystals to purchase packs in order to guarantee the card desired or up the chance. If you don’t spend actual money for crystals, you’ll end up having to spend all of your credits trying to pull cards with ridiculous seed rates. The customer support does not help players who don’t want to spend hundreds of actual dollars in order to get crystals. The app used to actually care about the player base but now they definitely don’t, and care solely about how much money they can rake in whilst slowly driving the game into the ground..Version: 15.5.1

✓ I’d love to give this app a 5 starMay correct if actions for corrections are made. I really enjoy this app it’s something my husband and I do together. But one of the things I don’t like is how you don’t have better prizes like emeralds and more coins as there are many of us who can’t afford or maybe just not be able to justify these purchases required to get emeralds and more coins. I prefer how Topps Marcel does their tier prizes and what not so much more. I also can’t get the noise after every pack you open to stop even though I have my sounds and music for the app off. The only way not to hear it is to have my phone in silent while playing the game or turn sound volume off completely, but isn’t that the purpose of those options in the settings of this app? ✓ Update is an issueSo, the update has made sound during lock on a constant on feature, making using the app a big pain now. I submitted a support request, but never got a response. They just don’t care. The new opening system takes far too long now. So basically the update has forced me to use it far less now. New Update: well, they fixed the sound issue, only to introduce a new issue that locks up the app requiring a hard restart if you click the “X” during the unnecessarily long pack opening animation. The lack of coding competence is mind boggling. I love Star Wars, but this app has become stale and unimaginative. The new card design is horrible, the characters they are including are bad. ✓ Getting better: againI’ve been critical of this app in the past due to, then, terrible actual odds of pulling certain rarity cards as opposed to the games stated odds. This has improved in the past few months. Additionally, there have been in app games that reward players with coinage used to purchase packs. Overall the app is fun and the cards are amazing. ✓ BewareMost apps now are pay to play and feature premium content that you have to pay for and this app is no different. If you truly want to participate in this you’re going to have to shell out a few bucks each week if not more. I was trying to complete a task for this app this week and I was collecting and trading cards naturally but on the last day of the task the app made it so if you needed a particular card to finish the task you would have to pay for it. ✓ I wanted to like it.I got this app because I wanted to interact with Star Wars fans, learn something new about one of my favourite series, and have a good time. What I got was an extremely glitchy app that I couldn't even sign up for! The verification email wouldn't send. I did contact the support team (and they got back to me right away so that's good🙂). I spent a while doing what they said, trying to resend the email, using a different address and so on. After that didn't work I tried signing up with Facebook which didn't work either. I spent way to much time trying to get it to work. On top of that I personally don't think the cards are that nice looking, and they don't have bios on the backs of many of these cards. Not to mention taking forever to load the cards, and quite a few game crashing freeze moments. I'm overall disappointed with this app. I can see the guys at topps had a good idea, but what I got was a glitchy money grab. ✓ Great app except chasing problemI love these Topps apps, but I have noticed that they are all having the same issue lately. They seem to be trying to open another window (maybe an ad) but nothing opens. You have to just log out and try again. I am patient with this app, so I am ok. But others will not be so patient. And they might just quit the apps. I notice this across all my Topps apps (Bunt, Slam, Skate, Marvel, and Star Wars). So something is going on. If it is an ad popup, that’s fine but make sure it works. I will sit through a short ad, but it isn’t working and causing the app to crash. And the issue is getting worse. ✓ Not as much fun as it use to beThey recently put out a set of cards that I wanted all of but the problem was I spent 300k credits to get all 14 cards. And that’s just the regular cards, not the Rare or super rare cards. I’m fine with just collecting the common or uncommon cards and am not really worried about getting rare, super rare, legendary but before when I did this I could collect all the cards in a set and get the trophy much easier without spending a ton of credits. The new odds/ratios are not favorable at all especially when you only have a week to collect the cards before they go away. Also I wouldn’t mind spending some actual money buying credits to use occasionally, but even then the way the game is set up, I find myself buying less and less credits because it’s just not worth it anymore. Bring back the option to spend 25k credits and in return get 10 packs of 5 or 10. Very disappointed..Version: 16.6.0
✓ Star Wars Card Trader is fun.This is one of the better card collecting apps. Doesn’t take a lot of time to play. Very nice cards. Downside- costs a lot to collect the best cards, lots of people play and many times the best cards are gone in seconds- yes seconds! Also the card pull odds are very high and reset every pull. So 1:10 is not a true ratio because you can buy 25 packs before you get the card, it’s 1:10 even at pack 8. Why not keep track of packs bought especially ones paid with real money and give out at the original ratio? And make the card ratio lower some are just ridiculously high!!!!.Version: 15.2.0
✓ Needs workThe app needs much needed bug fixing and various things to make it fair to all users. I have a friend who started about the same time as me and only staying on trying to give me their cards. Neither of us can see what the use of bulk trading is as it only allows either on to trade max of 1 card with no option to edit. Thus trading 9 cards at a time. Sadly now if 2 trades is sent 1 is auto voided by the app, so one has to accept before sending another trade. There’s other issues too. Free currency by watching videos is wishful thinking because it only causes crashes and never anything else. It works in getting energy for lock on usually, but never anything else. Also terrible lag or random crashes especially in the workbench area. We’ve also noticed the app drains the battery. My friend has a Samsung 21 phone and me the iPad. I’m rating a 3 because it’s usable but frustrating to use..Version: 18.1.1

The odds on getting any really decent cards are very poor; it’s literally open pack-after-pack-after-pack or buy jewels. ✓ Ruined again by the crystal update*update: the odds are way off now too. It’s about double what it should be. So A 1:10 ratio means around 1:20, and 1:5 means about 1:12. And they recently changed the 'lock on' section. You only have one energy to spend every half hour instead of four. So it’s really pointless to even check that anymore unless you want to live for playing the game. This has potential to get better, yet they continue to make it worse. It looks more like an ugly comic book theme than Star Wars. Plus, It used to be a lot more fun when you could collect a decent amount of stuff by being patient. Now unless you have crystals you can't get most packs. The older ones you can get sit there forever and give you nothing new. I haven't completed anything in a year. ✓ What a tragedy.This game used to be the most fun game of all time. I would wake up every morning, receive my credits, and get some packs, then spend the rest of the day trading. It was my absolute favorite game, and I know so many other people loved it as well. Well, what happened? Here’s the plain and simple: you now absolutely cannot play the game without regularly shelling out money. That’s right. You’re paying real money to get a few digital cards. Then, if you want more cards that people will trade for, you have to- wait for it- spend even more money. I’d be so willing to pay a one-time fee to use this app as it was in the good old days. I miss that so much. But the day you don’t spend any money on this current version of the game is the day it gets boring for you. It’s essentially a gambling game at this point. What’s worse, Topps doesn’t care. They could care less about the people who can’t pay five dollars a day for a mobile app. Their customer service is abhorrent. All they care about is your money. ✓ A good app but a few problemsI used to play when this app came out and I still do to this day however I think it’s improved in some areas and gone down hill in others. My biggest point is in other Topps Card Trading Games it’s way easier to get coins but in Star Wars Card Trader it is way harder, I also feel they have jacked up the prices of packs making it harder to get packs. One recommendation I would have is to add a in-game auction system where if someone has a card they don’t want they can sell it for credits or crystals if someone picks it up. All in all it’s a good app but still has a few problems, 3/5.Version: 17.0.2
✓ App has gotten super buggy. Used to be reliable.This is getting ridiculous. I’ve contacted Topps several times about missing cards and not getting cards for the credits I’ve spent. Or even getting the free cards when the opportunity is there. Their app just fails to give the card. It shouldn’t take you a month to respond to people. The reliability of their app has gone way down and I just don’t trust it. Half the time I don’t even get the reward promised for watching a video to gain credits. I long ago stop trying to do anything else to earn credits. Id be a fool to spend any real money on this buggy app because I’d probably lose it too and never get a response from them. ✓ Game is ruined for meI wrote a review for this app a long time ago and this is how it went. I have been playing this game for almost a year now, and am still addicted. New cards are constantly being added so it never gets old. The community is great, active, and helpful. The game is incredible with the diversity between cards that I have collected 3,500 of. And that's only 6% of the cards I the game. THIS IS NO LONGER HOW I FEEL. Before the updates there were no card packs that required paid in game crystals. I believe this was a horrible addition to the game and ruined it for me. It makes those with money to spend get the cards much quicker before they’re sold out. The new UI in the game is often buggy and unintuitive I greatly prefer the old more simple layout. The community is still great, all great people, but it has diminished greatly. The in game can feed used to always been roaring with comments. It’s no where near where it used to be now. Trading is not the same nor are old features like the smugglers den. This game used to be great, now it is a pay to win game where the developers do not respond to criticism by the community on their socials, and utterly have been working in the wrong direction for years now..Version: 10.5.1

✓ Support is now uselessThis app is great when it works, but if you have any kind of problem then you are out of luck. Customer support used to be a strength of this app. If you had a problem or glitch, you’d submit a ticket and an actual person would respond to your issue via email and resolve your issue. It was reasonably quick and effective. They recently switched to a chat-based support system which is less than useless. They first cycle you through automated prompts with suggestions. When those don’t work, they send your issue to “someone” but it’s not live chat. I just waited over 24 hours for a reply and the person’s suggestion was EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE AUTOMATED SUGGESTION, which I had already told them didn’t work. I have asked for more help, but I am not optimistic that I will get any useful reply any time soon. In the meantime, the award for the set I am having an issue with drops in 3 days… I would not recommend spending any money on this poorly supported, buggy app. Just play for free and pray you don’t have any problems..Version: 16.7.1

✓ Great new concept. not a very creative approach to this new genreI'm an old school Star Wars fan,have lots of old and new Star Wars collectables. including the original topps cards. I was hoping this app would feature those classic cards prominently so I could have a digital collection of these old classics as well as the cardboard versions. these cards are only available as very hard to find insert cards. you could never assemble a complete set of original Star Wars cards let alone empire or Jedi which have not been looked at yet by topps. topps also have been taking undue creative liberty with the Star Wars franchise to cobble together tasteless insert cards using a mashup of classic characters and their own artwork for some truly awful outcomes. cards featuring psychedelic stormtrooper helmets spring to mind. ✓ Topps steals from it’s customersI have been playing since 2015 and enjoyed the game but always felt it was pricey. But now the app has had a bug for months where it always locks up and reboots. Now when trying to make an in game purchase, it locks up more than it doesn’t. The purchase goes through, but because the game is locked and reboots, you never receive the items of the transaction. I notified Topps about this problem and they have taken no steps to fix it. I recently found out that I was charged for these transactions I never received. Topps has taken no action to fix this but is still receiving the money without delivering on their end. They must know this is going on but do not care! ✓ Spam For SpamUpdating for 2022 as this still remains true: YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS WILL BE SOLD. It’s been a long time since I left this app in the dust - after years of obtaining credits, the developers decided to make them useless to increase revenue. That by itself could be forgiven, but what can’t is the fact that any email address you enter into the app will eventually be leaked to spam lists. After I began thinking that this app was responsible for the 20+ daily spam emails that began popping up, I created an email address and only used it for this app. A year later, that address is now being spammed daily. Whether it’s data breaches or the company selling your information - I’m not sure - but it will 100% happen to you if you use this app. The constant emails I get for “cheap pills” and home owner insurance is enough to make me want to keep updating this review each time the app updates and clears them for the new version. ✓ Unstable!!Topps keeps introducing new features and events but seems to keep ignoring massive stability issues. The latest event was a disaster and more than 12 hours later they have not even acknowledged that there was an issue. ✓ Odds/contentNot a fan. Ever since the new update a year or so ago, the odds of winning previously in-won content has decreased, and I’m tired of “winning” the same cards that i have at least 45 copies of. At least recently, with the free giveaways, you have a chance of winning a newer card that may not be in your collection. So, that’s good. BUT it should be the same for the “free packs” you win by meeting the challenges (ie: opening 10 packs, etc). Also, you need to work on your odds system. If it says there is a 1 in 5 chance, it shouldn’t be 15 packs later when I am finally winning a “basic” card. And this happens A LOT. It makes me not want to play on this app. Also, there is no clear info on what, exactly, the “lock” system is. Why do i need to lock cards? Do my rare cards I’ve collected for years now have a chance of disappearing? Why is there no better info on this?? Idk. When this app first started out, you won more money as a daily prize. ✓ Sorta fun and sorta disappointingYou cant really call this a game cause theres no gameplay which is fine if they made the actual card trading part engaging. You start off with terrible cards and you have to trade your way up or pull better cards from packs which you should probably forget because the chance that your going to pull something actually good from a pack is so rare you might as well forget it(especially since theres a limited number of good cards in a pack so if you don't hop on immediately when they come out your out of luck). The trading part is fun temporarily until you realize they expect you to trade up but nobody on this app will trade any card for any card thats less than its rarity so your stuck with these terrible cards unless you can get a rare handout from someone. Its pretty obvious they made getting cards extremely hard to pick at your wallet so if this is the game you want go ahead..Version: 10.2.1
