✓ Amazing but...I played the game on my iPhone and thoroughly enjoyed it. The graphics are gorgeous, as the animation, and the diversity of the puzzles. However one should be aware of a couple of caveats: - The iPhone experience could reasonably be improved by allowing zoom-in. I had to use screen captures and switch to photo app to see the tiny details. The salt scene was a tough one at such small scale. - The book is a double edged sword. At first I used it as if it was part of the game. The game can be played without the book indeed - for most puzzles. I wish the "emergency" metaphor had been more explicit..Version: 1.7

We’re so quick to blame something or someone else before trying and looking for other solutions. Even I did as I stated below. And Also at first I thought I had to scroll through every single page which I was like there is no way I’m gonna flip through each page to get to page 688 or wtv but again I knew that was ludacris so I thought there has to be an easier way that I’m not doing and BINGO of course there was, use your finger and slide over the many pages as you would use your thumb on a real book to skip thru numerous pages and you will see that u can jump from page 0 to whatever u want. I read a a review where someone complained about that when that was not the case at all. Played this on my iPad pro 10.5 and omg it was amazing. A visual treat, the graphics are whimsical, creative and adorable!. Music was perfect, puzzles were challenging, fun, engaging and I love the idea of the Handy book in case you get absolutely stuck. I feel so stupid now that I emailed thinking I had a glitch when I got to the park and could not for the life of me get on the wheel. i knew what I had to do but it would never light up for me to be able to grab the bars. Lemme tell ya, sometimes the best thing is to put down a game and come back later or even another day and look at it again. Wouldn’t you know that a few days later I realized there was a dialogue I missed duhhhhh. 🤦♀️ I felt so dumb after. I’m sad the game had to end. The only thing I’d say is I wish there was a way u could repeat some of the dialogue cuz several times I would touch the screen either by accident or I thought the convo was over and then I would realize I double clicked so I missed a couple bubbles of dialogue and couldn’t read it again. I mean it was essential but still I hate missing anything. Also sometimes I wished there was an option to either hear talking or have captioning, just an idea. This was such a great game and fun for everyone of all ages. I love the creativity and this team deserves a big 👏 for all their time, effort, & love that they put in to this. Great job! ✓ I absolutely adore this gameLumino City is one of the most creative and beautiful games I have ever seen, based on the concept and design alone. The levels were challenging but not impossible. Admittedly a couple sections didn't make sense to me and I had to hunt online to see how to get started. My single, solitary, one and only complaint about this gorgeous game is that it was obviously designed for a much larger screen than my iPhone. At times it was extremely difficult to maneuver or trap what I needed to because of the size. At other times, the camera angle, which might have been accommodated by a large screen (turbine tower!), were nearly impossible to see where I should be going. These things aside, I stuck it out and even watched the entire credit reel. It's a work of art, disguised as a game. 😊.Version: 2.5.1

✓ Charming , delightful , skilfulEverything about this is wonderful It is one of those works of art that you find difficult to assimilate, thinking to yourself “I can’t believe something can be this good!” The concept is fabulously original, the attention to detail that has gone into its execution astonishing and spellbinding. Can I use the word “cinematography” when talking about a computer game? It is really cinematic. It is almost a tactile experience playing this game, and I liked the music so much that after I finished the game I would go back to scenes just to listen to it The animation and script is charming and funny The gameplay is just right for a phone, you can leave and comeback for as little or as long as you want (but I did spend far longer on this than I intended each time I played it). The puzzles are very varied. Deciphering codes; moving the avi through a complicated route; applying scratchy handwritten directions etc They are difficult, you have to work out what you are supposed to do and then you have to learn to execute it, but you always feel they are possible, and there are several punch the air moments when you finally make the grade. The art style is also very good and everything in this game looks great. However, this game does not have much content wise. It's beautiful and the puzzles are interesting and different, but for the maybe 1-3 hours of gameplay, it's not worth close to 8 dollars. What’s more, a lot of puzzle games have unnecessary challenges that are more a flaw than mastery, but this one falls right into mastery. If i got too stuck, I made sure to look at the page in the manual over and over and by-golly eventually it would click, and how fun it is to use your brain in that way! So grateful I ran across this gorgeous game. The ending storyline is a mystery to me, but I appreciate the visual story rather than it being spelled out, so kudos there. It’s the story of a small girl venturing through handcrafted, visually pleasing lands to locate her beloved grandfather, the handyman of a vast city. However, there was one suggestion I had. When you select the level titled “The Captain”, you do not have the fish and chips you acquired in the level prior. As I find this level really enjoyable, I’d like to play it on its own, but I need the fish and chips to complete the level. It’s quite a process to have to hunt for the potatoes all over again. ✓ Fun and beautifulThe design is very interesting. There are some complaints here about the design not being spectacular. However, I think those people are missing the point. Much like live opera is not as visually spectacular as a Hollywood blockbuster so this is not as visually spectacular as some video games that are a 10gb download. ✓ Beautiful and such a near five ratingFirstly a lovely game - full of charming characters, clever puzzles, and a decent plot. It was clear a few times in the game I'd encounter inactive "chapters" (or bypassed them) - eg the metro? my lower scores are frustrations with an app that could be easily improved for iPhone (regular 7) but isn't. Please don't waste your dialogue, there is no mechanism to repeat dialogue :-( The hints book is superb with both a huge amount of detail and a lovely access mechanic. Sadly artists wasted their time as without the simplest zoom-in/zoom-out much if the detail is illegible. _Please_ add zoom throughout the game and the phone experience will be magnified many times over... Another/alternative is to be able to rotate and pan across the game screens and across the (did I mention superb) hints book. I'd love a hard copy of that book as it gives me great nostalgia for "how things work" books of my youth..Version: 2.5.2
