✓ Great app for organizing my ideasI dabble in writing stories and the like and I enjoy making collections on info on the characters and other lore aspects of the story. Before I just put everything in the default Apple notes app under a note with the stories title, but this app’s system of notebooks that group my notes together makes everything so much more organized. It also can be used for making good to do lists and be displayed as a widget accessible from the Home Screen. ✓ I have changed my mindThis is far better than the standard Apple notes, it is a great easy to use notepad without being complicated. It has some powerful features like drawing on photos, recording notes, sketch pad. My wife was going to use it as a shopping list instead of paper but if you have a check list in alphabetical order it is useless, once an item is ticked it is removed but when unticked it does not got back in order and the notes cannot be sorted alphabetically. However, I have become more accustomed to it and all my Evernotes have been moved across. I use it all the time for blogs before the are pasted into Wordpress. My entire vegetable garden is organised via these notes, plus a picture record throughout the year, our travels in our motorhome are organised via checklists, notes and blogs. ✓ My go to appI’ve tried the app that comes with iPhone and iPad it was ok. Then I stumbled onto this app. I love that each one looks like a notebook and I can change the cover. I’ve created notebook for medical history for each family member. Did one for recipes which is easy to fine with my cover with this delicious shrimp dish picture. It’s so easy to save my recipes I find while searching the web. I select print from inside the website recipe then copy just text and create a new page and paste it. Even copy a picture an add that. I found it helpful in addition to giving page the header name I also make sure it’s typed on first line (when you print the page it doesn’t print the header name). ✓ A Great Note-taking AppI’ve been looking around for a note-taking app in which I can keep all of my notes organised. I found this app, and I can safely say after trying this for 6 months, it’s my go-to note taking app. It’s easy to keep all of my notes organised with a notebook. However I’m running into one issue. Whenever I write a lot on one note to where it becomes a long note, I notice it keeps on briefly freezing, and the input becomes laggy. ✓ Love it, but room for improvementI really love this app, its simple and easy and keep all my notes very organised and is great in comparison to any other free notes taking app I’ve tried. However there are some features I’ve found that are missing that I think would really improve the functionality of this app, that would make this app go from awesome to fantastic. Personally, I find the lack of sub tasks in the ‘to do list’ a shame because it would be really useful, just now I’m resorting to writing all the separate components of a task in brackets. Another function that is really missing is the use of a hyperlink to a specific location on another note(rather than just the whole note) and even more irritating is that you cant hyperlink to a different location on the same note. I’m using one note as a personal glossary of terms for a course I’m doing and its starting to get very extensive so being able to have a contents with hyperlinks at the beginning of a note would be a vast improvement. This has become an issue to the point that I I’ve considered switching those notes to word, but I don’t want to have to because other functionalities like handwritten notes and audio which are really good. Overall, I love this app, its great and I will continue to use it, but I hope it keeps improving to make it even better. ✓ AMAZING ! ... just SLOW AF :((Until Notebooks I was basically using a combination of google keep, text edit, & ’s basic & clunky Note App. It had the organization missing from google keep, added different font styles, security. But as a SERIOUS digital and physical note taker it became unable to run smoothly on neither my phone, iMac, & ipads. This is why I had to switch from Evernote, the heavy features combined with extensive notes breaks down so many apps. OneNote worked reasonably well for the longest but eventually got so slow it would be easier just to write on paper. ✓ The Gem of All My Apps!I have recently stumbled across this app, and am so grateful that I did. I am a creative, and it’s wonderful being able to readily record my constant jumble of thoughts and ideas in one place... and then being able to sort the notes into different visually appealing notebooks. I love the fact that you can upload your own images to use as covers, and change the colours of the notes inside. It’s a feast for the eyes... There are a few things that I either haven’t completely got my head around, or perhaps the developer hasn’t yet incorporated: 1) Being able to reorder the notebooks (you can reorder the notes pages inside each notebook, but I can’t figure out how to rearrange the order of the notebooks themselves). 2) An undo option. Sometimes when I’m trying to select text I’ll accidentally press another key and will lose the area selected. I can’t see how to reverse the last action. This could potentially result in losing some really important text irretrievably. But apart from those two details, this has got to be my favourite app on my phone. I love that I can audio record notes as well! My favorite part is being able to put every note into its own notebook, instead of needing to find notes with hashtags or scrolling. I currently have my notebook set up in a way that isn’t allowing me to re-order my notes, and I cannot find the setting option to change it back so that I can drag-and-drop the notes. ✓ Hopefully it Stays GoodI’ve been using this app for years and I love it. You can colour code every note within categorized notebooks…but that’s kind of it. You used to be able to stack them as well, for added tidiness, but with the implementation of a payment system, what should have been an improved feature is now impossible to use. The app still does what I need it to, but the loss of the stacking feature is a bummer. All of my old notes remain beautifully organized, but any new ones will have to sit loose in my notebooks, which will mean less organization instead of more. Overall, the app is still good, but the addition of a payment system does make me wary. I’ve come to rely on this app, but I’ll be on tenterhooks going forward, wondering if other functions I took for granted (and rely on) will stop working someday. For now I can still save notes as PDF files (but I’ll be taking advantage of this feature, in case it also gets placed behind a paywall). I understand developers need to make money, but I wish there was an option to just buy the application outright. Over a ten year period, this app isn’t worth three hundred dollars - which is what I’d pay if I subscribed. I have, like most people, too many subscriptions as it is. $20 would be something I’d be happy to pay once, but not repeatedly. I’ll continue to use the app, but some trust has been lost and I’m hesitant to continue relying on something which may strip critical features away in future updates - especially after using this app for half a decade without the need to pay before. Every category getting its own notebook. Changing the covers to my own photos makes finding the right notebook quick and it's easy to use. Why are all the other nite apps lacking all lacking something or such a pain in so many ways? But this app is like magic. It does everything you want it to do. Not now thanks to Notebook. You can have a notebook for anything and everything all in one place. You can even place your own picture onto the front cover of any of your notebooks, which I really love. Especially with all the amazing pictures you can get on the internet. I would definitely recommend this to any lover of note taking and I know that there is millions of us that does. ✓ I can’t help it!!So I write a lot of stuff. I originally write a lot on (IOS) Notes and it really takes a lot of my phone storage because of the amount I written. Not to brag or anything but to give you an example, I had written over 150 notes. And being able to move all of that to Zoho changed at things all in a good way! Whilst using the notebook app, however, after having used it for a year or so, I realised it’s probably the best app I’ve got. And I’ve got a lot of apps, even one that tells you what sort of plant you’ve taken a picture of (spoiler: it doesn’t work). Nevevevertheless, this app is one of the great accomplishments of the 21st century and I shall continue to use it since it pleases me in a way most other apps, and things, do not. However, the app lacks the ability to add a picture within a note. A picture can be added as its own note, but it can’t be added within a note. This can be frustrating at times. ✓ Good watch app - annoying problemThis is a solid app with lots of useful features, like reminders on specific notes, to do lists you can check off from your wrist and different category options. However, on my watch app the screen keeps rotating upside down which is useless when I’m trying to use it to quickly refer to something. This app allowed me to create a folder for just the band’s schedule (you can have an unlimited number of folders) then within that folder I could create each of our band’s show dates as their own folder and then inside of those I was able to add all the details for each show including the posters. Plus you can have everything a different color which just helps separate and categorize things even better. I like to write down all my thoughts because I don’t have the friends to share them with. Despite the amazing appeal of it, there isn’t much you can do when it comes to writing. You’re not able to change the font of certain areas or highlight anything. I love being able to add audios and be able to draw but when it comes to the scribbling part, you’re making a separate photo rather than actually drawing on the notes that you wrote. ✓ I Love This App! But….This App Never failed me to store my notes on my laptop and has amazing unique features to help you navigate your notes like the word search up. The search up was very handy and helped me in school for studying. But there were problems in this app that needs to be managed. The Notes I make on my computer would either be duplicated or gone from the Note App on my phone even when my account is connected to the App with my laptop. It also takes a LONG time to load up the new notes, it may not bring up the new or old notes, or I have to close the app to access the new or old notes from my laptop. Just a suggestion on an improvement, if at all possible: there is no obvious function to set multiple reminders (but I may not have discovered it yet!). For example, you use a schedule within a table for taking medicine. You insert the times you need to take each medicine, then you want to set an alert for each time. You want to label each alert with the medicine’s name so that the alert pops up in notifications on your device with the medicine’s name. At the moment the app limits you to one reminder which sits in the bottom task bar, and the alert label is the note title only. ✓ A great replacement for Apple Notes AppI found myself deleting the in built notes app and replacing it with this. There are so many more beneficial ways to structure your notes and add anything you can think of to your notes such as lists , drawings, images, sections from web pages etc. Having the ability to organise your notes into separate notepads the way Evernote used to be with a series of front cover notepads works perfectly for me, and after using Evernote also you can import flawlessly to this app. I no longer use Evernote as not only does this app not restrict you to certain devices it doesn’t require your separate monthly paid plan. This is more powerful than Evernote and a lot more organised now that Evernote restricted themselves and removed the aesthetically pleasing front covers for each notepad and just gave you separate headings on a list. The app developers make constant improvements too, I believe this is what Apple Notes should be. Improvements ?, hmmm I am not sure what’s next for this as overtime they have added anything that has been missing perhaps a planner or calendar function/ separate app as equally the calendar and reminders app that are inbuilt from Apple are also dreadfully weak. The problem is that I have Notebooks that were in a specific order (basically like a journal), and I opened it up, after the app update, to find that my previously carefully ordered work had been thrown into disarray. ✓ Just one problemI love this app. It’s really user friendly and I replaced it with my Apple notes app which I really liked already. If you just want to sketch a drawing this is great. Definitely don’t use this if you’re a digital artist. However I have one problem. I have a Siri shortcut that creates a note for me, but when I exit that note, it doesn’t show me my notebooks, it just shows me a blank screen. So then I have to close the app out and then jump back in and it loads and FINALLY I can see my notebooks again. I think this is a great app for college students for taking notes. ✓ Great app. Would love to have a couple of optionsThis app is a simple app that is very easy to use. I don’t need a complicated app. All I want is an app where I can make simple lists and have some basic formatting options. This app fills that need. I love it! My only complaint is that I don’t need to see 5 lines of data within each note when viewing a notebook at the high level. It would be nice if the user could define how much content is visible at that level. Personally all I need to see is the title of the note. By showing multiple lines, you have to scroll down a lot more to find the note you’re looking for. But I still love this app. I’d like to see an undo option.
