✓ Bigger and better, but a bit easy.The problem with the first game is that it was way too short. This is much bigger with a lot more puzzles, good storyline too. And just when you think you've explored everywhere and solved all the puzzles, you haven't. It's like two games in one (say no more). It's not too tricky, although it's still all a bit too easy. It took me about half a day to beat, with solid non-stop playing. But when you think that many game walkthroughs on YouTube are under 10 minutes long then this is still pretty good VFM for the size of the game but could still do with more trickier puzzles for a bit more longevity. Still, looking forward to an even bigger and better more trickier third instalment..Version: 1.0.3

This is by far their best yet - the game within a game is brilliant - would have been perfect to have one more puzzle at the very end. ✓ Very atmospheric gameI love the atmosphere in this game. With the theatrical soundtrack playing behind the game, I feel like I’m inside Spielberg’s movie. Although the game is not in 3D environment, but the 2D artworks are realistic and atmospheric and are enough to submerge yourself in the game. The puzzles are good, not too hard and not too easy. ✓ ExceptionalEven by Fire Maple's standards, this game is exceptional. If you've played their previous games, then nothing here will surprise you, but it's all done with such polish and style that it stands alone. Puzzles are pitched about right in terms of difficulty, and the writing is excellent, a marked improvement on the original version. ✓ SuperbI have played many of these puzzle games and I have to say that these games by Fire Maple are absolutely the best! The graphics are beautiful, the sound effects are realistic, the gameplay is challenging but not to the point of being frustrating. They are amazingly well designed and function beautifully. ✓ The best out there!First of all, I'm a free game person all the way. So the fact that I gladly pay for these games says something. I am also a person who plays a game once and then deletes it from my phone. I have played the three previous point and click story games that fire maple has come out with multiple times. That said, this new game has outdone itself. You have all the classic puzzles, but they are even more cleverly set up. The game is challenging, but not frustrating. And once you have paid for the game, you aren't bombarded with adds or requested to pay for hints. The story is great and best of all... fun! I highly recommend this! ✓ Wonderful SeriesBack in the early 2010s, my mom bought The Secret of Grisly Manor on our family iPad and it was probably our favorite game to play! We replayed it at least 5 times. A few years later we found out about the second one, and I’m sure we’ve replayed it at least 5 times as well. We lost the original account but I decided to re-buy the games just for the nostalgia. Just as fun as a decade ago! The attention to detail in this series is amazing, such as during the time travel sequence when the year always matches the current one. ✓ Tricky but good gameVery smooth puzzle game, good graphics and some challenging puzzles. This really tests powers of deduction as to why something exists or for what use. They are a couple of quirks which will probably need use of the help function i.e. Sharpening a pencil not with a pencil sharpener but a knife which can also be used in many other places and using handkerchiefs as a rope. Other than that once the mind of the developer is understood then all puzzles can be solved in about 5 hours play..Version: 1.0.3
✓ Superb.Another tremendous puzzle adventure from Fire Maple Games. It's early days but this one might actually be their best yet, it's certainly up there with the Lost City! I have just finished working my way through it, didn't want it to end which is about as good a recommendation as you can get. Difficulty level is optimal, I resorted to using hints just the once and promptly kicked myself for not working it out myself! Fire Maple Games are not exactly prolific with their releases (every two or three years!) but when they finally arrive they are of the highest quality. And I play A LOT of games like this. ✓ Great gameI just found this company and this is the third I’ve played after the first Grisly Manor and Lost City. This is my favorite so far. The puzzles were clever (the paint machine was my favorite) and I loved the addition of the interactive items. The plot was very creative and it was long enough (one of my complaints with a couple of their other games). And with act 2 it’s like getting two games in one. Loved it. BTW don’t be put off by the name. I avoided the first one for a while because I thought it was going to be a gruesome murder story but it’s not. It’s G rated. Also you don’t need to play the first GM to know what’s going on but I recommend it just for continuity..Version: 1.0.7

Fire maple seem to have perfected this genre and I think they make the best point and click adventure games out there. This one is no different. It's bigger than the previous ones and I think it's their best effort so far. If you liked the lost city, hidden world etc you'll love this one. Similar to forever lost and blackthorn castle etc but better in my opinion. I just wish fire maple didn't take so long releasing new games! ✓ Superb!Otstanding! Well done! Played it with my 6 year old during lockdown. I could guide him through some of the reading and we worked on all of the great problem-solving challenges together, making it a great way to spend quality time together. ✓ Genre busting genius of a game!It took Fire Maple about 2 years to write this game. Thankfully that effort translates into probably the best game of its genre ever.
