✓ Inconsistent timesI always try to keep tracking the bus and follow its route before it gets to our house while my kids are finishing breakfast. It changes several times in the span of about 10-15 mins. My children have to walk down to a bus stop and it would be nice to be able to time this better so they aren’t sitting at the bus stop for too long. Our route has changed several times throughout the year and the times kept getting later and later, then randomly we get an early one and we are running down to the stop..Version: 2.4.4307

✓ PointlessThis app is pointless if you have a child that goes to daycare. With the child having two possible stops you should be able to view both bus routes, or at the very least choose what days you want to view which routes. Instead, the app decides what days you can view what routes. What’s the point?!?!.Version: 2.4.13
✓ Not accurateThere is a few minutes delay so not accurate. would think with today’s technology if an app is designed to track the school bus, it must be a real-time gps sort of tracking. We could do this with an Apple air tag! Its freezing winter, was really excited this app was introduced, thought my kids don’t have to wait in the cold for the bus anymore - and twice we used this app, the bus arrived earlier than the app shows where it is, and my kids were almost late. Certainly needs improvement - the location tracking is the core function and needs to work better.Version: 2.4.4307
✓ Can’t trust this appI can’t believe my school board uses this app for supposedly being able to track my child. First, he takes two buses to school I can track the bus that picks him up and drops him off but I am unable to track the bus that actually takes him to school and picks him up at school. What’s the point if I can’t see him the whole way to school? Second, the times are not accurate one day it told me the bus was 15 minutes late so I waited to go to the bus stop to collect him (the bus has consistently been 15 minutes late so no surprise). All the sudden my son who is in grade 1 is at my front door and the app is still saying the bus is 15 minutes late. My grade 1 child walked him alone because the app was inaccurate!!! This app is dismal at best. If you’re going to sell your self to large organizations that deal with children you should work better than this. The school board should find a better more accurate app or ask for a refund for this one..Version: 2.4.13
✓ It was awful last yearThis was awful last year, and we suspect it will be awful this year. Arrival times were never right, the route was never right, and never showed scans, the difference between light and dark mode never work, absolutely horrible. Our transportation company should be embarrassed for even using this again but unfortunately I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re not getting some kind of kick back with you on this app. I have to give it one star just to even get the review posted. ✓ My reviewI use this app everyday as a student to make sure I don’t miss my bus well this morning I was going to get in it to make sure I didn’t miss the bus and it wasn’t working kept saying no students found or kept saying refreshing data but it wouldn’t then I put me to the login screen and so I tried logging in multiple times but it won’t work I am going to miss my bus because I don’t have it working this is a big problem I have a lot of problems with this please fix this..Version: 2.4.4307
✓ Fails when bus runs multiple routesThe gps tracking lags a lot but seems reasonably accurate. That said if your planning on when to walk out the door or see the app show the bus coming round the corner in sync with real life you will be disappointed. For me the app fails when bus drivers are short and our bus is running multiple routes. The bus can look like it’s coming to our neighborhood but instead skips it and drives to the school. (It has to drop off the other routes kids before it can come back and run our route). The app says the bus has passed our stop. That’s not technically wrong, but it’s also what it says when it does run our route and has already hit our bus stop. At the same time the app will tell you the bus is running on time and has our route highlighted. Completely misleads you to think the bus has already come. Situations like this are maybe not obvious during development of an app, but completely solvable if you understand the issue. The fact that this is a mature app and this isn’t solved is my low rating..Version: 2.4.4307
✓ Doesn’t update bus location.For the first month or so of using this app it worked perfectly. Now it will only show the location of the bus when I open it and it no longer updates the location. I can’t track the bus anymore in other words. If I want to see where the bus is about a minute later, I have to close the app, wait 1-2 minutes and it MIGHT show the changed location of the bus from where it showed me a few minutes prior. It’s very frustrating. You basically get one shot at seeing where the bus is and good luck getting any further locations..Version: 2.4.13
✓ Once again...Well for the second year in a row, about halfway through the school year, the app becomes completely unreliable again. Says the bus isn't active when it is actually nearing my house, scans don't show up for hours if at all...what a joke, I don't know why I even bother counting on it to do its job. It's an extremely simple app, how hard can it be to get it right?? ✓ The app does not work properlyToday has been one of the most frustrating days I've ever had thanks to this app. For a week now my daughter's bus appears as not active So it is impossible to know when the bus will arrive and today To my surprise the bus appeared active and according to the app the bus would arrive about 10 minutes after the time it is supposed to be at the bus stop which is not surprising, and when the bus was supposedly close to the stop To my surprise there was no one at the stop anymore. the route that the bus was supposedly following on the map was completely wrong. ✓ Great idea…But doesn’t work half the time. When it works if correctly, it makes thing much easier to determine where the bus is so we aren’t standing outside waiting forever on the freezing rain or cold, especially when our driver isn’t going to be patient because she’s overworked with a doubled-up route and is usually late. ✓ Basic operation is okay, far from greatThis app serves its purpose to let me see where the bus is. I understand that the county can decides to use other features that utilize notifications and our county must not Bc I literally only see where the bus is, and there is a slight delay in that. My biggest complaint, is that having elem and middle schoolers, I can’t link them and see they while logged into the same account. So I take my 2 elem boys (log in for them) to the bus then have to log out and log in for my middle schooler to see his bus which comes next. Then repeat in the afternoon, which involves logging out first of middle schooler so I can log in for elem kids. Then switch again. Versatrans please fix this! Lots of parents complaining at our school about it. Lots of us have kids at more than one school, or most of us will at some point. In 2 yrs, I’ll have kids at 3 schools on 3 diff buses. As far as basic operation though, the app serves its purpose and I can see where the bus is and it’s estimated arrival time. Was super helpful when the bus broke down once..Version: 2.4.11
✓ FrustratingThis app promises more than it delivers. The scan section is always blank. On the Map page, when the bus is between scans, it says that the bus is not running it’s scheduled route and lists the scheduled arrival time, despite clearly showing the icon for the bus on the route. When it does scan, it displays the address of the last scan and the projected actual time of pick up for a few seconds before reverting to “bus 11 is not running its scheduled route” and the time changes back to the scheduled time. With a bus that often runs early, this makes the app frustrating to use!.Version: 2.3.49
✓ Need multiple child routeThe app so far has been fairly accurate, however like others have said, it’s a pain for following routes is you have children that go to different schools. Logging out and then logging in for the other student is a major inconvenience. Please figure out a way to fix this. ✓ Safety of kids is not a priority - would give it a zeroOne of the worst apps I have ever used. It is often inaccurate or crashes and can’t connect with the server. The app has gotten worse over time and has become completely unreliable. Until it is updated and enhanced to prioritize kids’ safety, school districts shouldn’t buy it or use it. As a single, working mom with four kids, I used to rely on it to give my accurate data about the kids rides to and from school. My kids cheap watches with gps capabilities are more reliable. Sometimes the bus does time travel where the location of the bus and anticipated arrival time time don’t match where the bus is. My kids have missed the bus because it will give an arrival time that is later than scheduled and then it suddenly comes five minutes early. I get that there are factors that influence arrival times but glitches in the app provide inaccurate data. The UX is outdated and the company supplied directions for using the app with the random number used for login are the opposite of intuitive. I guess though since schools keep buying it, then there are few incentives to update or overhaul the app and infrastructure behind it. Given the fact that the app promises more than it can do, the safety of the kids is jeopardized. I would think a company with a 1.8 rating would do everything possible to update the app. But then again, that would be common sense and show a commitment to safety over profits..Version: 2.4.4307
✓ App update and accuracy needed ASAPYour app for school bus tracking and “gps” is highly frustrating and super unreliable. I get notifications for the same bus that is responsible for High School, other routes, and my Kindergarten son’s route??? Timing for drop off and pickup are not suitable for use. As one of two working parents in the household, this “gps” isn’t helpful for ease and piece of mind for my son, my wife or myself. My wife and I both have set reminders on our phone for “approximate” time of arrival and we also have had to track the bus down when viewing the app saying “the bus has passed your stop” which instantly makes us as parents go into panic and protective mode for our son. We then have to flag down the bus driver and they are stressed and rude to us just trying to pickup our child. Do better. Do better for kids safety & piece of mind. Do better for parents schedules and planning for morning and afternoons bus meet ups. Do better and FIX THIS APP, this is the ONLY communication we have for knowing when and where our child’s bus is supposed to be. ✓ What year was this app built for?The app UI is for an old iPh 1 - scaling, text sizing, the keyboard, etc etc. The list of schools is all in a dark background with black text - almost impossible to read. Prob because it hasnt been updated for dark mode... Logging in doesnt work with PW managers and clears out both boxes when you swipe up to move the app aside, for example trying to read the email instructions and go back to the app. Aside from the terrible and outdated UI, it works. ✓ Not reliableI have had this app for almost 2 years and it worked great when it would actually log in. In that time, I’ve had it no longer accept my kid’s username/password TWICE so I had to start a new account with a different kid. (It shows all your kids’ bus info regardless which kid you’re signed into.) Well it’s happened again and I’ve run out of kids to use their info. And there’s no way to send a report so get it checked out. I tried “forgot username/password” and it hasn’t sent me anything to do so..Version: 2.4.4307
✓ Great if the bus is on time. . . But not so much if it is late by more than a few minutes, or a sub is running, or there is an early dismissal from school. So, it doesn’t work well in the situations where there is a change and the parent most needs good information. I have yet to have this app tell me anything other than “Bus 407 is not active” and that routes are running according to schedule. Nevermind that neither of my kids are on a bus 407. I don’t know if this issue is the school district’s implementation, an issue at the bus company, or something from the technology provider - but it is a COLOSSAL WASTE OF MONEY. Also, today the app crashes constantly and I can’t even get into it. It’s a snowy day here and it would be tremendously helpful if this tech worked. But Im setting my expectations accordingly that it won’t and I’ll just be waiting at the stop for my kid at an approximate time in this snow storm..Version: 2.4.4307

✓ Needs lots of workThis app could be amazing, but it lacks a user-friendly UI, it does not allow you to rotate amongst children if you’re tracking more than one child, it needs more back-end support with GIS in tracking the buses with locations and timing. It needs more coordination with the transportation department. If this is app is using GIS features through Apple Maps, it should detect accurate arrival times, indicate if there’s traffic, & etc. there should be real-time automated refresh instead of the user having to refresh the app to get an update. ✓ Completely uselessSchool district says "download this app, you'll be able to see where the bus is". Since our bus is never on time, I thought this was a great idea. Downloaded the thing and there are ZERO school districts available. I can't even start to use it. One more technology fail from our increasingly inept school district. It's a cool concept though, especially considering my poor kid has to sit on the bus for three hours a day because of a driver shortage 🙄 Updated: ok the school districts are there to choose. ✓ Important updates?It’s been about a year and I the app has NO WAY of tracking different schedules. I’m a divorced parent and have to track the drop off every other week but can only see route to ex wife’s house. I’ve talked to the IT of the transportation company in my area and the app has no plans on fixing this. ✓ Please allow for multiple childrenThis is a great idea with poor execution if you have multiple children on different bus schedules. We have 3 different buses and times in our home and loving in and out and remembering all their login information early in the morning is more than a pain. This can’t be that difficult of a fix. The app is glitchy and sometimes does not refresh. The arrival time is often inaccurate but only by a few minutes, so we got used to it. ✓ Useless appThis app doesn’t do anything other than show me when my child has scanned on and off the bus. I can’t see when the bus is coming before my child is on it. It also doesn’t show when the bus is on the move. It shows a map with a pin at our house but no routes. I can’t check to see where my child is before he gets to school or when he’s almost home. When you click on “scans” it’s a black screen with lines, only if you tap on one of the black rectangles does it pop up the time my child scanned on or off, otherwise it looks like a black screen..Version: 2.4.4307
✓ Great app... a few suggestionsI love this app, but that’s only because my kids prior school had no bus notification system so I was always waiting and watching out the window for his bus to come. This certainly is better as I can just watch the bus coming here from my phone and don’t have to stand in the cold for 20 minutes during the winter. My biggest suggestion would be adding a notification once the bus is either a quarter mile to your location or right out front of your location. Sometimes morning are hectic (Momma of 3) and I can’t watch the bus on my phone and get them out the door. If a notification “dinged” on my phone I would know there were close or right out front. ✓ Doesn’t do much other than tell you where the bus is if it’s on.The app works fine for location of the bus as long as the bus is the normal bus and not a reserve or alternate. I guess the school would have to change that. Also, you can only view one student. There is a box to select a student but no way to add another so you have to log out if your kids are at different schools. Likely an easy fix but doesn’t appear anyone is gonna do it. ✓ Needs some add on’sMy kids school just started to use the the app. There’s been bugs with the scanning but they seem to be fixing it. I’m enjoying the app so far but my only problem is that I have two kids riding the bus and can only see one child’s ride at a time. ✓ Horrible execution of simple ideaThe idea behind this application is brilliant and I was excited to give it a shot last year. While the information was useful and it did use this app every morning to track the bus, I could not believe how poorly this app is designed or how slowly it ran. ✓ ProblemsI have used the app for this service with fairly few problems for several years and then it stopped working. The bus garage told me to download the newest version of the app which I did which is this one. Ever since downloading it, every time I use it I have to uninstall the app and reinstall it because it gets hung up on the “refreshing“ page after you close it and then you open it for next time you are using it. This app has issues. Both the prior app and this one look and function like a sophomore entry-level technology class project done by 13 year olds. ✓ Does not do the only thing it’s meant to doI will be waiting for my child at the bus stop and it was change multiple times from bus is running on time 4:30 (when the current time is 4:45), to the bus is late, to the bus has past your stop. Then the bus will show up. I have tried tracking the bus and it will show the bus at a stop for a long time when I can see if driving through the neighborhood. Then it freezes the bus in one spot very far away and it looks like the bus is no where near. Then the bus magically pops up at the stop but of course the app still has it frozen 5 miles away. I’ve actually never written a review in the 10 years I’ve had an iphone but this was by far the worst app I’ve ever downloaded so I felt compelled to write a review. I was so excited to have the ability to see where my child was and when he was arriving. ✓ TrashDon’t even bother downloading this TRASH. IT NEVER WORKS PROPERLY. The app never updates. It never follows the route correctly. If you do get it to work you’re getting g updates 4-5 minutes LATE! These are children we are trying to protect and this app is absolutely not worth the headache. ✓ Please add “No pickup needed” optionI would love to be able to let transportation know when my child will not be on the bus in the AM. I’m sure no one wants to make unnecessary stops when they don’t have to. Many children get picked up at their homes in the morning and it seems efficient to know if they weren’t planning on needing the bus. ALSO, it would be nice for the bus to know if we were planning on using the bus. If they are early then they would see I clicked we were coming to school today. Maybe like a “check in” button? 🤷🏻♀️ Also, it would feel nice for the employees to not have to rush at every stop... they think we wouldn’t need the bus just because we weren’t out there right as they pulled up..in the end not having experiences with waving down the bus...(Yes that happened..) ✓ Simple Idea, Poor User ExperienceOur district purchased this system a few years ago and I thought maybe it was just an early version but nothing has changed over the past four years. The developers should be embarrassed by the UI of this app as it could be so much better if they followed modern UI practices. This looks like a mainframe programmer designed it. I can’t believe we pay so much money for something so mediocre. I will encourage my district to find more modern solutions. Lack of geo location notifications, not reliable, not compatible with the display of iPhones unless you’re still on an iPhone 5 which was like what 6 or 7 years ago?.Version: 2.4.13
✓ Needs a lot of workWhen the driver actually uses the “sensor” this app is good. Unfortunately, substitute drivers don’t always turn it on. Also, when a different bus is used, the app doesn’t update to the new bus number. Just today, the app showed my sons bus in a town 2 hours away!! ✓ Inaccurate and slowOn the surface, this app is on the right track and is an amazing idea. But, the execution is extremely lacking. It does not operate in real time. I’ve had numerous instances where my children have almost missed the bus because of the accuracy of updating. The other issue I have is I have children that attend different schools in the same district. The fact that you cannot program more than one child in is absolutely ridiculous. ✓ Worst app ever!My district has been using this program for 2 years and it just keeps getting worse and slower! I constantly get kicked out of the app because the server is not connecting and when I do get to log in it takes so long to update the location of the bus that by the time it does update I have to refresh again. The app does not show the bus moving, only the location when you log in so I have to constantly close and reopen to see the bus location. I use the app for two students and I have to toggle between them because it only shows one bus at a time and it takes way too long to switch between children. It consistently freezes when I check it in the afternoon and doesn’t show where my kids bus is. Makes it tough to gauge when I should be coming out to meet them. The GPS is delayed significantly. Many times it shows the bus on a route sitting and updates the arrival time to later than intended. The lag time has increased this school year. I don’t believe it’s been close to accurate at all. I’ve checked my children’s location by their cell phone to see if the bus has indeed arrived and their cell phones show them out the neighborhood but the Vst My Stop app shows that the bus has not arrived yet. The app doesn’t seem to be capable to send notifications or show the bus location, making it useless. You cannot read the entire message from the school bus office on the pop up message and the notifications screen always says that notifications aren’t enabled by the school. ✓ Serves purpose but one Major flawThe app serves its purpose. I can see where the bus is. The major flaw is that you cannot link kids. So when you have multiple kids riding different buses, you have to log out and log back in with each child’s credentials. This is a major pain. Our district set everything up with student numbers. We have to pull data up in the computer to find the student numbers, then we have to log back into the app for the next child. Then everything repeats in the afternoon. I hope this gets fixed soon or another company comes up with a better app where the kids can be linked!.Version: 2.4.13
✓ Super buggyOur school started using this app at the end of last school year. It was buggy then and hasn’t gotten any better. The app will only log in for one out of every 30 or so attempts. Although it appears to have functionality for tracking a bus for multiple students (I have one in middle school and one in elementary), I have to log out and play the “will it or won’t it” log in game. If it actually functioned as intended, this app would be great. It would be nice to be able to check when the bus will be here instead of standing in the heat/rain/cold and waiting (sometimes for over 40 minutes - but that’s not the app, that’s the school district)..Version: 2.3.49
