Learn 33 Languages with Mondly for Negative User Reviews

Good for beginnersI’ve enjoyed learning a different language with Mondly, and I’ve made progress from complete beginner level. The progress tracking is excellent and seeing where I compare within my country, globally, monthly and all-time motivates me to work harder. I tried Italian, which I speak a little, in order to improve. Even adjusting my settings to ‘advanced’ seemed to make no difference to the tuition: ciao, madre, prego, etc. Not even just once - these simple words are tested ad nauseum. It’s simply a waste of time if you already have some competence. There are also frustrations which are too regular: often the voiceover is faster even than normal speech, the male and female voices say different things on the same question, untaught synonyms are required in answers, or the tech isn’t intelligent enough to credit a range of correct answers. In time, with careful development that fixes issues raised by users and builds in different levels, this should be an excellent app..Version: 7.0.3

ReviewYou can’t move onto a different type of lesson until a surtain amount of points.Version: 9.0.5

What happened to my membership?I’ve been using this App for over a year and it was excellent. I’d bought all the languages for life using standard Apple ID. Today, the app wasn’t working - it would just crash every time! So I uninstalled and when I installed, it asked me for my login details. I’ve tried everything! To no luck! I’ve set up new login details but they'll want me to subscribe again! I have set up new details but they are now asking me to pay for another membership! Not only have I lost my progress and lesson plans through you app crashing and having to reinstall- my purchase for life seems overlooked! I have ALREADY paid! Everything was fine until today! Reinstate my membership which I paid for!.Version: 6.2

Latest update wiped out all of my conversationsKindly: it's good, but not as good as Duolingo. The format of the daily lessons is always the same: eight simple noun tests plus two simple sentences. The font choice is really strange - the upper case "i" looks exactly like a lower case "L", which makes it really hard to know which letter to pick when one has to spell words by sliding individual letters into place. I like the feature whereby one has free access to all the content if one plays Mondly seven days in a row, but the most recent update has deleted all of my conversations in the deeper lessons, by which I mean each subject matter has eight lessons, one of which involves speaking aloud ("the conversation"), and although I've completed the conversations for every subject I've undertaken so far, Mondly has decided to delete my progress, so instead of scoring 8/8 in my completed subjects, it's now showing 7/8 for all of them. Hmm..Version: 7.3.6

Inaccurate translations.First time using this particular language learning app. It told me to translate 彼は私の父です。The words it gave me were “This is my father.” I know it actually translates to “He is my father.” This is my father would translate to このは私の父です。So definitely not impressed with the app so far. It seems like if you want to use their app for free, then you have to sign up for a free trial that will start charging you monthly after the week. I wish there was a free version instead of just a free trial. It feels like they prefer to pressure you into buying their services instead of enticing you with a quality product. The app also doesn’t know the difference between English and American English. It called an apartment a “flat”. It’s set for American English but that word is definitely an English word. I wish I could hear a word again in a lesson but it only says it once and doesn’t give an option to hear it again..Version: 10.18.0

Unfixable pop upThis was a great app and I loved the concept using AI. But now there is a pop up for a new years sale that keeps coming up and you cannot click away from it and it never disappears so I cannot even access the app. It’s like you have to purchase it otherwise u can no longer use it...Version: 10.16.1

3 starsIt’s taught me a lot in the past 3 days and I’ve even convinced my sister to download the app, although I don’t think it makes sense for me (a 12 year old) to have to pay to learn a language. Since I’m homeschooled I wanted to waste some time and do something so I downloaded this. I ,a non-premium member, only have access to 3 learning options which I don’t think is fair. This really gets on my nerves as I can’t learn anything these days unless I pay for it, and having a financially unstable family bits quite difficult to pay for things like this. Thank you for reading this of you do I hope it helped you make a decision if you wanted to download this app or not..Version: 8.0.9

Ideas great butThey introduce words way above my starting level. I am week one learning Chinese, it should be I, me, we, them etc and im being expected to know things like “i find this homework very interesting” having not learned any of the words or sentence forming. The audio does not pick up what i say, i have another app that records and i play back and it sounds close. I say them in here and it repeats with extra sounds that never came out my mouth i might make deee sound and it plays back hizan lol i mean as if its picking up another sound but im in a silent room. Its nice looking app but i regret spending what i did its not for purpose.Version: 10.18.0

Poor quality sound & difficult to unsubscribeThe sound quality on my app was poor ( my iPhone had good sound quality for everything else so I assume it is Mondly’s fault). I have found it very hard to unsubscribe using the app.Version: 9.23.0

Functionality and layout are great, content needs improvementI’ve been using Mondly for over a year to learn Danish. The app works well but I am constantly frustrated with the content. Questions requiring translation are not precise and words that have not yet been taught are included in questions. For example, in a lesson that taught the word “cafeteria” as being spelled the same in both English and Danish then asked a question requiring the user to translate “cafeteria” as “kantinen”, a word that hadn’t yet been introduced in any lessons. Other examples for poor translations are “Where can I make a call” turns into “Where is there a telephone”, “Is the post office far from here” is turned into “How long is it to the nearest post office”, and “Please do visit me sometime” is “You are welcome to visit me.” It would be far better if literal translations are used and words are introduced before they are included in translations..Version: 6.2

Not bad, but needs workThe lessons are decent, especially since you can get some basic grammar explanations. What’s lacking is any sort of resources outside of the lessons. There’s no place to practice vocab. No place to get more in-depth grammar. No place to memorize what you’ve learned other than to repeat the lesson itself. That makes it very hard for anything to stick. The only reason I chose this app was because it offers lessons for a language that you can’t find elsewhere. And for $3.99 a month (roughly the price of Duolingo Pro) I’d expect more. That’s half an Apple music subscription! If I didn’t need to learn the language that I do, I wouldn’t bother using this app. Edit: the developer response fails to address my concern. It’s not effective to have to review words/phrases/grammar lesson by lesson. I paid $50 for this app and you want me to go lesson by lesson to review? That’s ridiculous. There needs to be a centralized location, similar to Anki, where you can review everything you’ve learned. I’ve studied a lot of languages and this is an essential part of retaining vocabulary and phrases. Buzz words like “inductive” and “immersive” seem to miss the point. Needless to say I’ll be cancelling my subscription and getting Duolingo once they add the language I need. Clearly the devs don’t care about adding requested features..Version: 9.37.2

Terrible AppEven though I am very young I would like to warn you do not be fooled by the 4.8 star ratings. Mondly is a terrible app it will review words and phrases but only once I spend countless times trying to learn Latvian but only got frustrated it teaches you nothing do not waste your time on it doesn’t even teach anything useful not even grammar I have no clue how the app has such good ratings don’t waste your time reviewing words once that you wish forget in only a matter of time then be expected to fully know them so whatever you do to learn a new language don’t use Mondly. I can’t tell you how many times I have gotten so angry and wanted to toss things around because I was really trying to learn with mondly I was starting to feel like I wasn’t trying hard enough only to find out that there’s nothing wrong with me but this app is just terrible at teaching don’t waste your time to only get frustrated, angry, and have the urge to start raging. Please read this though this is very long and seems to be only insignificant out of the thousands of reviews I am young but I just need to warn you before you start feeling the same way I did..Version: 9.37.2

Disappointed. Boring. This app could be good except for the boring, repetitive, hands free section. You get the same encouraging remarks over and over and over again. I now dread doing this section. Also I signed up for the intermediate level, but was given the beginner. That adds to my boredom as well. Disappointed, after reading a good review that convinced me to sign up..Version: 10.18.0

Poor customer serviceI‘ve asked to cancel my subscription before renewal date and I was charged anyway..Version: 10.16.2

Needs some work on the Japanese.I like the ability of a lot of repetition of words that the app is promoting. I don’t like the promoting of the same words in so many different lessons. I do like that I can go back and review lessons to get more exposure. I don’t like the seemingly over emphasis on imported “English” words or the conflict of spelling between various lessons. I despise the use of Romanized alphabet. At least provide the option to switch to the Kana. I don’t appreciate the switching of different words of the same meaning but very different spelling and pronunciation, (especially with Kanji) if there wasn’t an opportunity for first learning both words. There needs to be much greater effort with introducing new words and a gradual transition to Kanji. Both of the first two sections for grammar, demonstrate practically no grammar at all and are probably the most frustrating sections that I’ve worked in due to the heavy use of more complex sentences with totally new words in Kanji. There is a significant use of word conjugation with absolutely no explanation or preparation, considering that I’ve covered a lot of material. Finally, the hands free exercises need a lot of improvement. Many words it gets wrong and doesn’t even come close to what I say. I just quit using that option..Version: 10.0.2

For Tagalog/FilipinoI upgraded to the paid version today and I’d like a refund. The app doesn’t properly explain why certain words need to be there and sometimes the audio doesn’t even match the words. There are places where it will have one word and say a whole sentence. There are others where it reads a different word. With the lack of explanation for everything, I’m unable to tell which words are correct or why I’m supposed to be saying certain words. I’m also not a fan of how the app doesn’t really work previous words into the new lessons. It seems like you either need to make your own flash cards or go through and repeat the same set of phrases in the same order. Another frustrating situation I’ve run into is when you make too many mistakes on the lesson (which, again, there is no guide or notes prior to the lessons) it doesn’t tell you the correct answer for the final question you’ve made a mistake on. Even if it did, I’m not sure it would stick with you long enough to make it back to that point. I don’t feel like it is helping you to become fluent, but rather just memorizing phrases. The free lesson made me feel hopeful for the program, but the following lessons leave a lot to be desired. For a company that has so much money from selling education material, this program sure is a let down..Version: 10.15.0

Latest update is awful! Was a great app I used daily for over 2 years. Updated this morning and it now crashes and can’t complete my daily lesson. Wish I could cancel my subscription but locked in for a year. Shocking!.Version: 10.4.0

Good App but Missing ThingsMondly like all these apps misses fundamental elements such as absolute beginners lessons such as an alphabet and a basic explanation of how the new language compares with your known language, then lessons on a list of basic words! After the user does what is in the App, it should have really advanced lessons for more grammar etc. Plus long passages of text to listen to really hear the new language and so on!.Version: 10.16.2

JapaneseThis teaches incorrect phrases/words which I only realized after taking an actual Japanese class.Version: 10.17.0

Not worth the subscriptionFirst of all, I started learning Spanish for an upcoming trip but as I was doing one of the lessons with no background noise whatsoever it wanted me to say “tea” in Spanish and somehow it thought I was saying some gibberish?!?! I repeated saying the word over 20 times and still didn’t change its mind! Do NOT get the subscription..Version: 10.8.0

Too many cluesWhile the app is nice because it offers Slovak as an option where others do not, I find the lesson tasks make it too easy for the user to select the right answer by deductive reasoning rather than actually forcing the user to think, process and store what they learn. An example is, select the right meaning for a Slovak word where they give you 4 options, each with the English word and a picture. Worse still is, too often when quizzed to spell, the app says a word that is so remarkably like English it’s not teaching anything. E.g. park is park, doctor is doktor, etc. my suspicion is they are doing this to make the user feel like they are learning by selecting the right answer more often then not. This isn’t really learning. To really learn, I have found myself doing the following: 1. taking words from the app to put on index cards with English on one side and Slovak on the other. 2. Replaying the dialogue from the lessons without looking at the screen which gives away the answer too easily. I do this because it forces me to really listen and process to find and store the answer in my head. This app would be better if it had settings to change the way the person is taught in lessons to make it either harder or approach the user in different ways..Version: 9.34.0

Standing stillI’m in my fifth month learning Thai with Mondly, and I find the lessons are now getting quite repetitive without introducing new grammatical concepts or even words. For example, I just repeated “I’m going to work” for about the 10th lesson today, but I have yet to learn “I went to work yesterday”, or “I’m going to go to work tomorrow”. Prepositions are often just thrown in without being translated, for example for “I sit on the sofa”, ‘on’ is neither mentioned nor translated in the lesson. Something that was never even mentioned are noun classifiers (ลักษณนาม), which are really important in everyday Thai. The app is peculiar about articles. For example it may mark “I’m cutting an onion” incorrect versus “I’m cutting the onion”, even though there is no difference in Thai. I’m less upset about actual errors in the app, of which I have submitted a few, and I noticed they are getting addressed. On the plus side, Mondly does make me practice regularly and the comparative shortness of the lessons means it’s easy to complete them daily. Besides, it’s one of the few apps that actually offers Thai, so kudos for that!.Version: 7.5.13

Good, but wish more was availableI like Mondly. I especially like the chatbot as I’m studying Korean and don’t like taking with real people as I get embarrassed, Chatbot is perfect just for that. Along with daily lessons and reviewing/revisiting past lessons, I like. However, I do wish more learning was free, instead of being charged £3.99 a month or £9.99 a month. I’m a student and don’t have that kind of money to spare, plus I already used the free trial when I first downloaded the app awhile ago. If more things were free, I would use the app much more, however, I understand he developers have to make money. Overall, it’s a good app..Version: 7.3.6

I regret paying for this appI’ve tried many different apps for learning languages and this is one of the worst ones for the following reasons: 1) No Space Repetition built-in, so you’ll need to track which words you need to review by yourself. 2) Word-to-words translation when each word in all languages can be translated to different words depending on the meaning and context. 3) Each lesson can only be studied 10 times and you’ll earn only 1 XP each time you relearn it after that, very discouraging. On the plus side, the daily lessons and monthly challenge are fun but alas you can’t see the previous month’s leaderboard result, so you’ll never know your final ranking....Version: 8.0.3

Good for beginnersThe app itself is great for beginners. I like that you can add a person to your premium account for free. I like that the audio is clear and can hear me clearly. I like all the different options. The only thing I don’t like, and what will probably keep me from subscribing long term, is that you can’t start at any level but beginner. Like, it asked me what my Spanish level is, I said intermediate. But when I started, it gave me the most basic greetings and words. I already know how to conjugate verbs in the present and greeting people I learned in high school. So I upped it to advance level, but it was still super basic, didn’t seem to change at all. So either there’s no customization or Im just way better at Spanish than I and others think I am (believe me, I am not). There should be a test of some sort to classify you and tailor your learning accordingly. It’s gonna take too long to go through all of these lessons and get to the level I should be in. As such, I’ll be deleting the app before the trial ends. But as I said, if you start this as a beginner, it will probably be great..Version: 9.34.0

Good app, misleading free family spotI am enjoying the use of the app to support learning languages. It’s well thought out and the visual exercises are a valuable way to support learning. However, the premium subscription gives you a “free family spot” which I shared with my wife thinking oh this is going to be great value. It’s basically just a free 3 day trial though, not a free spot on a premium subscription. I hate apps that raise expectations and then try such dishonest tricks and such tactics are more likely to result in a cancelled subscription than a 2nd person signing up. I like the app and like how it offers pay monthly, but could do with a proper family plan and doesn’t seem to have one..Version: 10.2.0

Learning isn’t that easy with this app! When comparing this app to other top language apps, it’s not that great. There was one positive that I liked, the voice lessons but a lot of times it doesn’t pick up the pronunciation that well. The lessons are not that great as it tells you to translate sentences that you have not yet learned all the words for and uses random little pictures to teach words. Also, the daily lessons are too randomized and I find they try to teach too many words and sentences that are not useful yet or too advanced for the beginner level. As an example, I chose to go through the “hello” lessons first to learn basic greetings. You would think the daily lessons would also choose this path or at least be a review of the lessons you learn but no, it started teaching me about artists, painting and random colors. This way of learning may be okay for some but is definitely not for me! I decided to go with Duolingo as I’m learning much better with that app..Version: 9.34.0

Facebook loginI think this is a great app, but the Facebook login is a mess. Once one person logs in with Facebook that is it, you have no way of loging in with another Facebook account. I had logged on with my wife’s iPad and she now has no way to even select her Facebook account on any of her devices (despite my Facebook in no way being logged in on any of them at the time). A ‘not my account’ functionality really needs to be installed as she lost all her progress trying to create that account. There is no point in the account creation/login where it even tells you what account is being used to log in..Version: 7.2.2

Can’t cancel subscriptionI purchased a subscription when I had income. Now that I don’t have income I can’t afford this, but I have no way of cancelling it. This is a very scammy tactic..Version: 9.0.3

Learn Tagalog the easy way.Tagalog language is very easy and fun to learn with this program. Everything is well organized and lessons well explained. The only bad thing is that some sentences, when spoken to you by the App, they don't agree with what you are reading. I have reported them, however, the next time they come up, they continue being wrong. It seems to me that Mondley doesn't review the content, at least that is true with Tagalog Language, where there are several mistakes being reported and they never get corrected. Tagalog is a fascinating language, however, it is a language that cannot be learned by memorizing words. Therefore the teaching should be more like the way you learn in school, and not by memorization; it is too complex to learn the way Mondley lays out its lessons. I have not seen any explanations as to how to change a word from singular to plural or how to understand focus markers, focus pronouns, etc. I believe that maybe everything is included here. However, the presentation needs serious rearrangement. I take language learning seriously. Mondley, now it's your turn to teach seriously!.Version: 9.6.2

Needs a lot of improvementOk so I was learning Japanese and since I already know quite a bit I could read the beginner ‘Hello course’. I was only the fourth or so exercise and it asked me to translate this sentence “ 彼女什私の母です” and I recognised 彼女 as kanojo meaning she, the app said it was kanaja (which is the wrong romaji) and said it meant this? I brushed it off a bit confused and continued to the next exercise but then it said “彼女什私の父です “which means she is my father yet the correct answer was this is my father, it is really bad that they’re teaching this to beginners who may not know any better and be mocked for speaking oddly. This needs to be fixed. TL;DR For the Japanese course the translation is wrong and it may cause people to be laughed or mocked. :/.Version: 9.13.1

It’s okay, but needs a lot of improvement. This app is good in terms of layout, but that’s about it. I am learning two languages- french and Japanese. For languages that require characters, anything that’s not the Roman alphabet, they have an option to see the words romanized, which is not good at all. This disables the ability to read and translate the words, and a lot of beginners choose the ‘shortcut’. This app did not teach a single thing about romaji or katakana or kanji... or any structure of Japanese. I’m sure it’s the way for other languages, I chose Arabic before I deleted the app, and it was similar. I am a beginner in french, but the beginner option is far too easy for me and intermediate is the same. I got a question with two options that were correct, technically, but it marked me as wrong. It seems that this app just takes words from the language and inserts it into the same lessons used for all of the languages. Not good for learning languages, look elsewhere..Version: 6.1.6.1

What happened??Deleted my progress I went away for a day and a when I came back ALL my pro was gone!!!!.Version: 10.8.0

No GrammarThis is a great app that can be very helpful for learning words and phrases, with a great system to make sure they stay in your head, and it even offers speaking practice with a high level of accuracy. However it does not teach any grammar, even in the grammar section. At best, phrases that contain certain grammar rules are shown and you must figure out why it happens the way it does, for instance: in French, “Qu’est-ce que” can be used to start a question that translates to: “is is that…”. “Est-ce que” can be used in the same way, and in common speech these words are missed out altogether, but this isn’t taught, you’re just shown questions that have those two different beginnings and you’re left to figure it out. Without being taught different grammar rules one can’t transfer words and skills they’ve learned from phrases taught by Mondly into other coherent phrases, and furthermore, they then can’t build sentences and paragraphs, as the way to do this isn’t taught. This also makes you unable to fluently speak the language, only using the phrases you’re fed. Great app but no grammar teaching is a massive flaw that will hold learners back..Version: 9.4.1

Incorrect!Gives far too many wrong answers to its own questions. If you want to learn on an app that encourages you to assume people will understand you when you miss out whole words in a sentence then this is the app for you. For instance, if you translate ‘Va fazer um passeio pela cidade’ as ‘Go on a tour through the city’ you will be marked as wrong. This is because the AI is rigidly programmed only to accept ‘Go on a city tour’ which is strictly incorrect as it removes the preposition. There are many examples of this I could give. Mondly does give you a chance to appeal this but by then you’ve lost a star and will have to start the lesson again from the beginning (yawn) for a perfect score and I suspect these appeals are ignored anyway. My experience of most teachers is they believe they can never learn anything from their students. Also, reviewing is just plain messy. Fishing around a brain graphic for the words you’re struggling with. Really? You can do that more easily with Google Translate. Easily the least liked of the four language apps I’ve got on my iPhone. Poorly structured, encourages bad learning habits and worst of all, just plain tedious. Mondly? More like Moribundly..Version: 8.0.1

Intermediate Czech- simply awful daily contentI was a big fan of this app but lately the daily quizzes are giving me words I’ve never been taught (by the app) as test questions. I can’t answer stuff correctly that I haven’t been taught. Not only that but sometimes they use words not even listed in the translations at the top. “Drive me to the hotel”, tap “drive” and nowhere is listed the word the quiz demands. This and constant errors relating to US English vs UK English make me wonder if the developer really cares about their content. Update: I received a developer response which did not address any of my concerns, especially the lack of a distinction between UK and US English. Maize and Sweetcorn are different words. A gift and a present are the same thing. I repeatedly report these things and nothing has changed in literally years, so perhaps the developers do not care about their content as much as their one and only support person suggests..Version: 9.14.0

Good but needs revisionsOverall this is a good app to learn common phrases and words in Farsi and it is enjoyable to use. However, it can be improved upon. For example there are sometimes two different words in the same lesson translated to the same English word when they should be different (beach and dock in one lesson, grass and weed- the lawn types not marijuana- in another). Also, for those trying to learn the script and the grammar, it would be so helpful if the written sentences and words stayed visible until they were released by the user. Instead they only stay visible for a second or two, making it impossible to sound out what is being said to comprehend the spelling or the grammar relationships. Some of the learning is by rote only, because the translation of a sentence is in the English structure only whereas if the Persian words were translated in order occasionally as well, you could pick up more accurately what the actual words mean and figure out the grammar more intuitively. Finally, many of the vocabulary words used are nearly the same as the English words. While this explains why I've always though my husband was speaking "Tex-Farsi", since those words are easily understood by English speakers, the app developers would do well to focus more on common words that will be unfamiliar-sounding and more important to learn..Version: 9.34.0

Lots of glitches and wrong wordsTwo problems: one is a major problem, the other is just annoying. The first is that there are tons of glitches, at least in the hands free version.I subscribe to this app so that I could learn Greek on the go and not have to look at my screen. But I can almost never make it through a whole lesson because the app keeps saying there is a problem and it doesn’t hear my answers. I might be 75% of the way through a lesson and then I just have to close it out and lose all of my progress because the app won’t respond. The other problem is the inaccurate phrases. Here’s an example. I use this app for Greek. I already speak Greek a B1 level, so I’ve noticed that some of the phrases are wrong. The main thing: in reality, there is no infinitive tense in Greek. When you want to learn a verb, such as “to write”, you actually learn “I write” (γράφω) because there is no such word as “to write”. When Mondly introduces a verb, it always says “γράφω means to write. How do you say to write?” And you have to answer back γράφω or it considers your answer incorrect. This can lead to a lot of confusion when trying to use these verbs in a sentence. I’m really surprised that such a huge inaccuracy made its way to the app. Some of the other phrases are not direct translations (as you would think if you didn’t already know them)..Version: 9.19.0

Not for beginnersThis is not actually for beginners, this app is fo people that already have a base in the language. It does not teach the alphabet for Russian, or any other language that uses a different alphabet. Although is still good to learn something i think that for some language that doesn’t use the Latin alphabet, it should be taught in order to help. So i find disheartening that i paid for a full year and when i need to study the Russian alphabet i need to go find other sources. I feel that i am not progressing that much. I think the developers should consider at least teaching the alphabet of every language considering that this is an worldwide app. Regards, Jefferson.Version: 7.5.2

WhyWhy do you need a seven day free trial if the app is already free.Version: 6.0.6

Goodish/Nags you to review with paid subscriptionIm reviewing because it keeps asking me to review and since i already paid i don’t see it quitting any time soon. If you care about the app it’s good. Still missing some things. Needs more diverse grammar. Mostly simple sentences in present tense. Also they took out a feature where you can swipe letters to form a word as a type of question. You have to type a really tiny letter exactly on the center in order for it to register. The other types of questions are pretty ergonomic and easy though. A big plus. Overall get the app for the daily lessons they are good. The app could use a better interface. You cant really look up any vocabulary in a timely or efficient manner. You can search words but you must go through a lesson to maybe see it used in context. And it also takes forever at the end of a lesson to continue on learning. You have to wait for the animated brain to finish loading and showing you almost useless data. Beginner to advanced modes don’t really change in content. You just have to type stuff out more in the advanced mode. But i like how each level of difficulty has a separate level of completeness in the lessons. Although i wish there was an option to merge. Pros: good vocabulary. Free Daily lessons. Other good stats. One of the better options for learning multiple languages. Cons: could teach more grammar. INefficient interface! Nowhere to review vocabulary..Version: 7.5.2

FraudThey tell you that your subscription’s payment start after 7 days and you can evaluate the app in meanwhile, but the money will be deducted from your account immediately after subscription..Version: 9.22.0
