✓ MaddeningI used to really like this app but it’s gotten so obnoxious. It keeps trying to upsell me on pro plans etc. Okay, fine, that’s annoying but not a dealbreaker. The obnoxious part is that repeatedly tries freeze me out of GIFs that I’d spent a long time assembling — worked really hard on — and won’t let me get back into my project to download it or upload it or post it UNLESS I purchase something. They’re basically holding their own app hostage and demanding you pay a random first before they’ll let you back into your project. it’s really off-putting and gross and bad business and a total disrespect of the user’s time and creative labor. I won’t be using it anymore. It got so frustrating tonight that I deleted it from my phone. Which is too bad, but... life’s too short for that nonsense..OtisbirdVersion: 5.1.1

✓ I am confusionI paid for the pro version of this app a while ago and then it fell out of my regular use rotation so it was uninstalled from my phone but the icon remained. When I went to use it again, it was able to be downloaded from the cloud but the app wouldn’t open in my phone, so I came to the App Store to find it and was unable to. Instead there was this app, with the same name and functions and icon. So I downloaded this app and of course there’s almost no functionality with the free version. I went to check out restore purchases to see if my pro version would register and it did not. Now the app is pretty useful, or at least it was at the iteration I’d last used, but I’m very confused about this whole issue. It’s only ~$5 for the upgrade sure, but it’s really the principle of the thing isn’t it? Who wants to shell out any amount of change on something twice? It’s certainly a vexatious idea and even more bitter in the doing. I’d like to know what all these shenanigans mean before deciding where to squander my coin..MisseazyVersion: 5.5.10

✓ Best app EVERThis is my most used app. Simple to use with powerful tools to create great projects. Worth every penny. I love the fact that it’s also a 1 time pay as I hate subscription based apps because those seem like a money grab to me. Keep up the good work. Suggestion for the app- the ability to go back to saved projects and re edit if necessary. The ability to save projects to the cloud so I could continue my project on another IOS device. Ability to delete sticker packs without having to delete and reinstall the app. I don’t want to risk losing my saved projects or my custom stickers so I am stuck with seasonal stickers I don’t need/use. Also please add more sticker packs! Overall a GREAT app just need a few features to be added. UPDATE: I had to change my 5 star rating to 1. I don’t know what has happened but now whenever I save my image it doesn’t come out as sharp as when it was created. I have to screenshot my work and then save it so that it looks sharp. When I hit save in the app, you can see the quality oh the image changes, a bit blurry, not as sharp. I can’t use my saved image. I have to screen shot my work and then crop the image which is a pain. I hope the developers read my feedback email and this review and fix this. UPDATE: got a response here but you didn’t acknowledge the problem I am having now, you only addressed the issue of the sticker pack (which was from a long time ago). Please fix the problem. The image is NOT saving sharp. The images are slightly blurry. If I want it to be saved sharp (as when it was created) I have to screenshot it then edit it in iOS. There IS a problem when saving in ur app. I have had this app for a while and NEVER had this issue. Now there’s a problem. ✓ Fuzzy writingI brought this app for the extra feature of being able to add your own stickers. I wanted to add some of my own writing and quotes on gifs but once I save them onto my phone or upload them on Instagram the writing because very fuzzy and sometimes difficult to read...it’s a shame that it didn’t serve the only purpose I purchased it for. Other than that it’s a great app. I just hope the creator can fix this issue :(.DreamhypeVersion: 5.3.8

✓ NOT Actually Free - “Limited Feature” App, You have to pay $4.99 to use it!That’s one of my biggest “pet peeves” about “free” apps. Yes, they *say* they’re free but then when you actually go to use them it’s $4.99 to unlock the majority of the features, if you don’t pay the $4.99 it has a huge watermark, etc. Apple shouldn’t allow apps in the store like this. Either mark them as “limited feature” apps and make the developers explain, verbatim, what you get in the “limited feature” version or just make it $4.99 and you get the actual app. Otherwise? It’s really just bait and switch. The app functionality has good potential, but it really leaves a “bad taste in my mouth” when developers use this tactic (and worse yet that Apple allows it)..BakeUpAStormVersion: 5.0.2

✓ Is the watermark necessary?Great interface, but does $8 really justify something that’s free on the internet? Bravo for making a gif app, but $8 is a bit rich and forcing people to go Pro just to drop your watermark is not really a ‘pro’ feature. ✓ Ok but “Live” photo doesn’t work properly for Apple WatchThis app is quite good until you come to the “Live” photo bit when it then becomes a bit of a rip off! I paid for the pro version of IMGPlay then had to PAY AGAIN to unlock the “Live” option within the app. This is just plain dishonest and a rip off!! It creates Live pictures for iPhone ok but when it comes to Apple watch the live picture will only move if it is manually activated by touching the watch screen. Live Photo’s taken using iPhone Live Photo feature do not need to be manually activated. They move as soon as the image appears on the face of the Apple Watch..Wulwyn1Version: 5.4.7

✓ Good, but not greatI prefer the range of options to what comes standard on Apple screen recorder. Recently I’ve missed several recordings, because the app apparently doesn’t launch fully unless it runs an ad first. I don’t mind the ads, because they tend to be short, but it’s not cool to open the editor to find the recording never happened. Now if I don’t see an ad right away, I close the app and relaunch. I’ve also found it disappointing that when I add text to a gif (saved at High quality) the text, that appears crisp while editing, shows dramatically reduced, highly pixelated, resolution on the saved gif (blurry) while the original image remains the same..DDleerVersion: 6.3.0

✓ Why so lo-res?I love this very user friendly, simple to use app and I use it a lot, but am always disappointed that the gif videos I upload to Instagram are always lo-res on my feed. I save them in-app as ‘high quality video’ and the photos used are pin sharp, but the end result once uploaded to Instagram looks poor quality. Am I doing something wrong? ✓ Pro versionI just got this game to make memes to show my friends and entertain myself. I started using it and I noticed that I couldn’t use most of the effects so I was like “why doesn’t it let me use it?” So I click on it and it says BUY THE PRO VERSION!!! 😃😃😃 but I’m like I’m not gonna buy that! I thought this was an app I could just use to make myself laugh but no! They just had to make money off us. I know apps have to make money but they could open up at least more than just a couple things! 😡😡😡 I hope you read this and see how it is. ✓ New update messed up everythingI have always loved this app and I bought the original full version. However, with the new update it does not work as well as it used to. I could make gifs with transparent background but now that isn’t possible, when I tap the none selection in the background section it just puts the image in the background zoomed in. Also when I tried to convert a video into a gif a color disappeared when it saved to my gallery. I even tried to delete it and downloading it again but the problems still remained. This is unfortunate because I made commissions with this app. This used to be my favorite gif maker app but now I have to make gifs with other means. I hope you will fix this problem so that I can make gifs with this app again..HejwjwjwjwjjakavskdVersion: 5.0.2

✓ Poor gif image qualityThis does allow you to edit gifs and add text etc, but the very core engine of the app gives very poor quality gifs... Lack of definition, colour saturation, smoothness and speed. For a simple test, send a Live Photo to yourself via email. The apple converter will convert it to gif. Then edit the same Live Photo in image play and save or email to yourself. Compare the results. My first play was with fire and the difference is crazy. If it weren’t for the poor quality I would likely purchase at the high price despite there being a lot of other apps that do similar.
