Like it! Few improvements though...... This is a great, very simple relaxation app. It's the simplicity of it that makes it work, nothing overly complex to distract you from relaxing! But I agree with other reviewers that it would be really useful to have some way of being alerted that you are moving too fast when your eyes are closed. Some people suggest using the vibrate on the phone, but I think this would be too much of an interruption and would make me jump, breaking the spell. Perhaps an audio clue would be better, like the bell at the end of the session. I would also like to be able to choose the background colour, rather than the current random selection, personally I don't find red very relaxing! It might also be nice to have a choice of soundtracks, although this isn't that much of an issue. Overall I am surprised how it actually does make me feel calmer after just five minutes and think this will definitely become part of my routine. I'm looking forward to future updates!.Version: 1.1

It worksPersonally it really helps me to get in a meditation state but I would like to see some improvements or new features.Version: 1.4

Mindfulness at handI've done mindfulness work in a lot of settings, but I don't often have time or the structured environment to really settle down for a long stretch-- but I still need that pause (apt name). Yes, this is very simple, but I appreciate that; it's what I was looking for. If you do want something more complex, then this may not be the best choice. What this is good for (for me): tense moments during the day when I need a breather. The first time I used it, I was frustrated because I felt like the blob expanded too fast, like it was giving too many directions, etc. I realized that was my mind focusing too much on the details of the app and being distracted from mindfulness practice: once I let all that go and let myself fall into the soothing aspects, it worked beautifully. Your degree of satisfaction may vary depending on how much you're willing to let go of focus on design details and drift I to mindfulness practice-- and that is purely an individual preference. It is too bad that there isn't a brief trial period or demo so that users could see which side of the line they fall on before paying. My best advice is to ask yourself whether or not you're typically bothered by function or if you can set that aside. Pro tip: this mindfulness app is great for using at work. It's so unobtrusive that no one will have any idea what you're doing-- if they even notice..Version: 1.4

Very helpful in today’s societyI suffer from a lot of stress and am dealing with blood pressure issues. This app while incredibly simple is also very effective. It gives me a chance to just calm down during the day and bring my heart rate down. I really needed this. Thank you so much..Version: 1.4

RelaxationFelt relaxed after doing this for 5-10 minutes. I believe it's more the music than actually moving your finger on a screen. Use headphones and turn your mind off..Version: 1.1

IncredibleThis app is amazing, I have never been able to mediate as I can never shut my brain down to get to that level. This app helps to meditate, it brought me to different places and I saw incredible things. It not only helps you relax it takes your out of reality for a few minutes. I highly recommend. Enjoy.Version: 1.1

I never write reviews butThis app has seriously stopped some panic attacks from getting worse. I’m off meds so I need natural ways to control them and this app helps! I would suggest waiting for the blue or green color to start the movement because they are much more relaxing to look at..Version: 1.9.3

Worked well, healthkit would make it perfectThis is the best meditation tool i've tried on iphone. it works really well, and took me deep quicker than i'm used to with simple mindfulness meditation. efficient! it it wrote stats in to healthkit, that could make it easier to stay motivated. then i think it would be perfect for me :).Version: 1.3

Simple, intuitive, perfect de-stresserThis app is very simple, but I find my breathing slowing fantastically when I start concentrating on the growing polymorphous shape, and maintaining the speed. I have no trouble not speeding up by the time I'm in the "close your eyes" zone. Perfect for taking a quick time-out at work..Version: 1.3

Good app but takes power battery and dataI just bought but I had to delete it. It eats battery power of my 4s and data. If this can be fixed will somebody let it me know to downloaded from the cloud?.Version: 1.1

SimplicityThis is fantastic for meditation. Not entirely sure what people are expecting. Yes it is simply, but you need to embrace it, you can't just use it and continue to let your mind stress. Nothing can fix that.Version: 1.1

Pretty coolI like this app a lot. I think it pretty much does what is intended. If you really listen and try to be mindful. Good app.Version: 1.5

Does what it says on the boxBeautiful app - great way to immediately calm down and relax. Lovely music, easy to follow. Thank you for creating!.Version: 1.1

SuccessI’ve loved this app till it went silent. Wish I had known the fix was to take my phone off “silent mode.” All is well and I can now enjoy the app again!.Version: 2.3.1

Mindful MeditationMeditation requires you to focus on a repetitive task and Pause does this is a simply and beautifully..Version: 1.1

LovelyThis is such a lovely app. So calming. I use this quite often and it brings me back to a calmness..Version: 1.9

One of a kindUstwo has done it again. With a scientifically-backed meditation app that does truly relax, focus and inject a small dose of mindfulness into your day. Ingenious, calming and great..Version: 1.3

Actually relaxes you! This app seems to work so far, feel very chilled after use, a little confusing to begin with, just keep the thumb moving with your eyes closed! Recommend master difficulty as this really clears your mind!.Version: 1.1

Best Meditation App on MarketTruly best meditation, particularly if you find guided meditation and bodily focus ones more stressful than relaxing..Version: 1.3

One of a kind app – comments on the updateI bought this app a long time ago, and am happy my original features are still here, with the added bonus of new iOS and phone support. None of the core features changed; however there are new options that are “locked” which one cannot remove if not purchased, or not being used. (Your original purchase, or newly-downloaded app/purchase as the case may be, is quite similar to the original Pause app.) Unfortunately, the “Pause Premium” is currently the cost of the original app purchase – but is monthly on a monthly basis. This astronomically increases the price, if one is interested in the advanced metrics, themes, and so on. (Subscriptions do enable developers to devote more time to apps, and not release “new” versions after abandoning the current app listing, as the App Store does not offer upgrade pricing. More on that later.) Feature Requests: Adding an “advanced” screen in settings, which would allow all of the visual elements to be customized, such as removing certain functionality, if one is not using them. Alternatively, they could be “relocated” (in that “advanced” menu, or in general) so that the “Pause Home Screen” remains as singularly-focused as it once was: just place your finger… :) My belief is that “metrics” for meditation has some degree of irony: I feel meditation is about the abandonment of intentionality, thought-movement, and willful doing. Not trying to do so, and trying to not do so. It has no “point,” and is the point. “How can I improve at no-thing?” Its relaxing, because it’s, in simpler terms: a break! If you’re reading that, please consider that question; if you find it funny maybe that’s the answer, it’s ironic, and a bit of a riddle. However, not everyone holds this philosophy: the app authors have told me that some “objective” guidance can help one start on the right track to meditation. If you are interested in the metrics and believe it could help you, and/or like the neat also-included colorful themes, subscribing may help keep the app alive – aiding in funding further development! Though, I feel the price of $4/month is too steep, as the app 1Password is less than that, for example. In my personal opinion, I believe $10/year is fair for the functionality I derive from it. (But the stress relief Is worth more). —— Note: This is a much more thoughtful and revised review, since I received a comment from the app developers who read and said they will consider my original review. Consider this a more thorough, better one. (And I have upgraded this to five stars after thinking about it more.).Version: 2.0.3

Great app and no in-app purchases! Whoop! The reason I gave it 4 stars as the mechanics are a little flawed but easily fixed! When the app asked me to close my eyes, how am I meant to know that I'm pulling my finger too fast? This could be fixed by making my phone vibrate to alert me. Apart from that the concept is novel and he sounds are great. I feel better just after one session :). Great app for someone looking for a straight forward app that has no "accounts" and "in app extras" or "social" rubbish. Good price point! :).Version: 1.1

My faveThis really helps me with stress thx! 😃😃.Version: 1.4

My favI love this app! I've used it for years (though I probably don't use it enough) and I've found it consistently calming and visually stunning. The audio is also very effective in clearing the mind. If you're like me and don't respond very well to someone-talking-in-a-smooth-voice meditation, this might just be the app for you. (Pro tip: put the time up to 20 minutes for a deeper and more calming dive.).Version: 1.4

I use this daily. This is one of the best and simplest meditation-on-the-go apps I’ve used. I’m hoping for an updated version to take advantage of my iPhone X screen, please! 🤓.Version: 1.4

BeautifulI for one do not enjoy the traditional guided mediation where a voice guides you, but this works perfectly. It's even helped my anxiety some, I'm sure when I practice this meditation more, it'll help immensely. Suggestions: • Make the bloated blob less blurry • After a certain total time, be able to set your preferred colour.Version: 1.4

FantasticI believe the bad reviewers have not fully figured out how to use this application. You close your eyes, you continue to move your finger until the bell chimes or longer if you wish. The point of the app saying you're going too fast or too slow is to get you to keep focus on the task at hand and not on all your daily troubles! Do try this app and try to appreciate it fully..Version: 1.3

Weirdly relaxingThis makes a pretty good mindfulness exercise as you focus on slowly moving the dot about the screen. With respect to the instruction to close your eyes, well all you have to do is move your finger slowly (and randomly) across the screen and listen out for the bell that indicates the session is over. Or don’t close your eyes I’m not sure it makes much difference 🤷‍♀️.Version: 1.7

Like rubbing a smooth stoneWonderful and mindful moment of clarity. Starts off with a lava-lamp looking blob that you move around the screen, then as you get the hang of it the blob fills the screen and you close your eyes to relax. Really great. Nice to destress for 3-5 minutes when things get overwhelming. As of this writing (Jan 25, 2018), the app has not been updated for iPhone X. Still functions, but it isn’t the full screen. Hopefully they will update it soon!?.Version: 1.4

Cute and effectiveLove this app and use it as part of my morning routine. I wish it was slightly more forgiving when my finger slips off the bottom of the screen and it resets and seems to open the apps settings page somehow. That's the only reason I dropped 1 star but it might just be me :).Version: 1.1

Brilliant little app that works!!Haven't left feedback for an app in over a year but felt this worthy, stressful days with the kiddies and work so bedtime comes along and put on my Bose headphones, lie back, squiggle my screen and I'm somewhere else like in fluffy clouds without a care in the world...Version: 1.1

Great AppAbsolutely love this app, it’s really helped me keep on top of my training. Would recommend to anyone!.Version: 4.2.12

R.e. If you play this late at nightIt's like your playing a game with a wizard trapped inside the app. It's trying to put a sleeping spell on you. You may try to resist, even after it tells you to close your eyes, no matter how hard you resist, you will eventually give in, those eyes will close and that finger will slip off the screen and and bam the app wins. But by that point your too relaxed to care..Version: 1.1

Aaaaand relax lolUsually stuff like this annoys me even more but I'm pleasantly surprised by this app it genuinely works for me don't get me wrong it might not be for everyone but for me it's perfect! It's simple it's soothing and visually it's very pleasing and once i get the flow and shut my eyes it's total relaxation at my fingertips! Love it!.Version: 1.1

Relaxing AppThis app makes it easy to meditate and is super relaxing. Only complaint so far is it needs to be able to go full screen on iPhone X and above. Looking at black bars on top and bottom is aesthetically unpleassing. And with you’re eyes closed if you move your finger over the bars then it stops the session..Version: 1.4

RelaxingThis is a nice app. I like it best in the beginning when you can see the edges of the circle growing. Once the circle gets too big, it pretty much fills the whole screen with color which isn’t as hypnotic..Version: 1.9.1

Haptic feedback will be awesomeI love this App its awesome. Would love some haptic feedback as I feel it would make it even more realistic. I do not know if it will be better on moving your finger around or when you do not stop. But I'll be glad to test it.Version: 1.9.1

Works for meWorks on me as a shot of endorphines, wife can't stand the app and music keeps breaking. Guess it's a hit-or-miss... I for one am very satisfied..Version: 1.1

Great app but lacking iPhoneX support!Provide iphoneX compatibility please!.Version: 1.4

SublimeI guess this what I'd call a "Marmite App". You'll either love it or you won't see the point at all. For me this is a fantastic app. What's most extraordinary about it is that once your eyes are closed and your finger is just moving over the screen it feels like your phone is the size of a football field. And it is sublimely relaxing. This is a meditation app that I'll be using regularly. The music is great too. For those who expect instant gratification and fast-paced action, perhaps keep searching... I have been using this app on and off for a few years now. It still amazes me how quickly my whole body “sinks in” to the gentle motion and soothing sounds. My breathing slows, my heart rate too. This app is a little miracle..Version: 1.8

Contact usUsually there’s a contact us for clients but this app doesn’t have one yet. I purchased a new sound for my pause app but it’s gone because of the new update installment..Version: 2.0

Simple, elegant, intuitive, and effective! This app is exemplary of the way apps should look, feel, and work. Within seconds of downloading this app, I felt the effects of the melody and finger activity, and actually found my stress melting away! A nice way for users to know they are moving too fast when their eyes are closed, would be a good addition - but other than that, it's near perfect!.Version: 1.1

A great appCertainly works in reducing stress and increasing relaxation. Very simple app, which some people might think means poor value, but it is effective. This is where the value really is. Quality, not quantity..Version: 1.3

Love it but....Fantastic alternative to a mindfulness app, truly great. But... even though I paid for the app every time I open it I get forced to see an ad for Sway their other product which is annoying and annoyed is not the feeling you want to relax! I expect ads for freebies but this feels cheap..Version: 1.4

I like it tooRelaxing.Version: 1.1

Just what I needThis app is beautifully simple, calming and delightful. I have used it so much for my anxiety and ocd it's not too long and it's relaxing. Perfect find, I'd recommend it to anyone..Version: 1.3

Awesome For AnxietyThis app is literally a life saver- when I used to have bad panic attacks, this app was one of the few things that reliably calmed me down. I am so grateful!! I highly recommend to anyone who has anxiety and needs an easy way to calm themselves down..Version: 1.6

Relaxing, lovely little blobsIf you’re having a hard time with stress, falling asleep, etc., I highly recommend the Pause app. I cannot overstate how much I love this app. (I’ve been using it for a few years now.) You basically guide a little blob around the screen - verrry slowwwwly - picking up other gently floating little blobs, as your blob grows and grows and eventually fills the screen. All while gentle, floofly, space age meditation music plays. It sounds weird, but it’s actually a lovely, relaxing experience! If this app ever went away, I’d honestly be bereft. It’s a big part of my relaxation toolkit!.Version: 2.1.2

ExcellentDoes what it says, is easy to use. And it really does help you take a 'pause' and calm down or focus. Recommend to anyone with a busy life..Version: 1.1

Love it!I use it to relax me before I go to bed and it is great. The idea is to move the coloured blob slowly across the screen. Contrary to what most ppl say here,if you stop or go too fast, the music actually stops after about 20-30 seconds. So it's not all visual clues..Version: 1.3

MindfulnessAs long as you take this for what it is the app is excellent. It's not a game - it's a meditation / concentration / relaxation tool. When stressed or wanting to unwind just concentrate on the growing colour shape and make it move around. I think other negative reviewers have expected something miraculous. This is an excellent mindfulness app with no bugs (that I can see anyway)..Version: 1.3

Helps Anxiety AttacksI find this helping as a grounding method before/during anxiety attacks because it forces me to focus on moving my finger with the dot in a precise fashion, so it changes my minds focus..Version: 1.4

Great app!Update: Love this app, simple, relaxing, and effective..Version: 1.9.3

This app lives in my home row nowThe decrease in anxiety I get from using this app is palpable. Highly recommended..Version: 1.1

Meditation for ppl who don't meditateNot a ripoff. It's a tool to help achieve a relaxed state of attentiveness, which is what mindfulness meditation is all about..Version: 1.1

Love it but iPhone X compatibility? This app is awesome! It’s very peaceful and it’s overall my go to app for when I am stressful during my student life or workplace. One thing that is really essential for me is for the app to perfectly fit on my iPhone X! Please add this compatibility in order for me to give this app 5 stars!.Version: 1.4

It worksVery simple yet effective technique for practicing mindfulness - love it!.Version: 1.1

Try it, it's pretty damn goodI am finding this app incredibly useful in mindfully focussing on touch, sight and sound rather than the white noise in my brain. The colour changes are wonderful and soothing, I'd love to have slight variations in the music if possible?.Version: 1.1

Could be better...I think it would be better if there were at least an option to keep following the circle, rather than going wherever and the dot filling the whole screen anyway (because it's easy to not pay attention to the latter)..Version: 1.4

Good app to calm downIt is somehow relaxing that relieve your stress because it helps you to calm down when close you eyes and listen to peaceful music. But it might be a little boring and getting tired because you need to move your fingers constantly with a slow motion. If you move too fast, the pause stop. It was frustrated at the first time. But perhaps it is because it need every to be slow to really relieve stress. Another thing is that I cannot figure out what difference is the difficulty in the setting made. All in all, follow the instructions and be really really slow, it works..Version: 1.1

Good ideaEspecially if you started learning about meditation, you have to keep you mind empty by concentrating on breathing, if your mind wanders, you try to bring it back, here you can concentrate on you finger moving, it also really helps. Good app :).Version: 1.1

Really really love this app!I don’t know how it works but it really does relax me every time I use it, puts me to sleep at night. Thank you for making this!.Version: 1.9.3

Simply The BestThis app is amazing never thought that this could be a thing!.Version: 1.3

Finally integrated with health appWhy it took so long?.Version: 1.4

GreatIt actually works. I’d like shine haptic feedback to let us know when to stop or what to do next. But fantastic!.Version: 1.6

Don't always believe the bad reviewsI was sceptical at first as one would always be, but after some time with it, it's strangely relaxing some how. Soothing and refreshes ones mind. Good job in my book. ;-).Version: 1.1

Really helps! Thanks so much for developing this app. It really help me release stress at work with a quick time out..Version: 1.1

Fantastic ApplicationThis is a fantastic application. It works as advertised. And has helped me tremendously. Keep up the good work..Version: 1.3

PerfectAlmost fell asleep in the first two minutes . Super relaxing and relieving . I'm actually shocked at how well and fast this app worked to relax me and clear my mind . Definitely a great buy with positive results !!!.Version: 1.1

Brilliant appAn interactive meditation app for those that need to do more than just laying and listening. As one of those people who's head is always going, sitting still is a chore in and of itself to me, having something to do that's minimal but relaxing at the same time is perfect for me..Version: 1.3

CrazinessThis actually works. Don't ask me how, but today at my friends house during lunch at the table with his family I nearly fell asleep. Brilliant for relaxing and winding down..Version: 1.3

Isobell fox2005That is the idea When it covers your whole screen you close your eyes until you fall asleep and let go of your device Then it finishes👍.Version: 1.4

Sends me to sleep every timeI use this app on nights when I can’t switch my eyes and brain off. It works magic to relax my head and being heaviness to my eyelids. Many times I have been so relaxed I have dropped my phone on my face. Good, short and gives results..Version: 1.4

Better than HeadspaceApp is simple and straightforward. Developer continues making meaningful improvements to the app in response to feedback!.Version: 3.4.2

Full Screen is great!Always enjoyed the app and now with the full screen it’s even better. Thank you for taking the time and effort to update Pause!.Version: 1.5

Has a Lot of PotentialI would love to see the ability to set a timer upfront. Really like the idea behind this and the graphics are beautiful.Version: 1.4

RelaxingEverytime I use this, I sigh, as it relaxes me instantly. Funny how simply following a circle at slow speed will do that to you..Version: 1.1

My New Cigarette Break!I am a very busy person. There are not enough minutes in the day. I have been smoking cigarettes regretfully because until now, I have never found as short of a break as a cigarette gives. Seven minutes. I can't watch a show, cook a snack, catch up on social media, read up on political issues, call my mom--ANYTHING in just seven minutes. It's been a great excuse to smoke cigarettes and still feel like a well rounded person. Pause is exactly what I needed. Something that would help me take healthy breaks in between all the running around I do. On behalf of everyone who loves me, thank you for helping kill a bad habit. My undying gratitude to you and your team. ❤️.Version: 1.3

Love itWOW tried few times. I love it. Very relaxing. Would be nice to have some features so you don’t have to open eyes to check if you are on track..Version: 1.9.3

Such a great app! Clearly a labour of love.I love this app. It truly *is* calming. I also appreciate that the developers have been updating it and refining it for years and years (and years), which is really nice because I don’t need to worry about the app getting abandoned, which has happened with so many other mindfulness apps. Thanks for making (and maintaining) such a great app!.Version: 4.4.8

10/10 recommendI'm definitely a culprit of watching tv past when I should go to sleep. This app gives me something to do so I don't feel restless but also allows me to fall asleep. I also love using it between activities to just take a break and relax myself..Version: 1.4

SleeeeeepyI love this app, but true touts like marmite you will love or hate it. I can't do it for more then 3 minutes then I'm asleep and I had best sleep ever and for the longest time too. I used it last thing at night as I don't need it in the day. My sleep patterns are terrible 2 hours sometimes 3 if I'm lucky. Menopause can kill your sleep well it has mine. So if tried so many apps to help me sleep and most work for an hour or two but after that I'm up but after using this I slept 4 and a half hours. I went into shock when I woke up and realised I had slept that long. So yes it's a dot you follow. But what makes this different from the rest of the meditation apps is you physically are doing something that slows you down slows your mind down. You don't need to hold your app like a phone like other review said . I laid my down on my bed then then just used my finger I did change to middle finger after two minutes because the one I used started to ache a little.. But then I just fell asleep. My only problem with it is when it tells me to close my eyes and well of cause you do peak and it's still saying things in writing so once your eyes close you can't see what it's saying. Crazy right. So they need to sort that out as it could ruin a good app. It worked for me and I am a terrible insomniac or was. Worth every penny to me. Brilliant..Version: 1.3

Extremely simple - in a good wayA simple and efficient way to reset your mind, for the price of half a cup of coffee. Just don’t expect it to do anything it doesn’t do..Version: 1.4

Now with Heath integration.Review is based on the newly added feature of integrating the mindfulness minutes with the Health app. Now it's all recorded and collated with other apps. Welcome update. Now would like to see customisable music or binaural notes perhaps? Maybe 3 different kinds of musics sounds dependent on the time of day. Overall, the app is very calming and I enjoy a few minutes a day just to calm and regain some focus. Comes recommended..Version: 1.4

Excellent but better quality musicGreat concept and a brilliantly designed app. Would like to see better quality audio and possibly 1 or 2 variations that you can download after installing..Version: 1.1

Simple, yet effectiveI was sceptical of this app due to its simplicity—but it really does work nicely. I recommend using it with headphones to really benefit from it..Version: 1.1

It works.Sceptical at first but after using this 5 times so far, this works. The combination of the sounds, and the constant slow paced finger movement allows a point to focus on, thus providing focus..Version: 1.1

So calmingThis is such a good tool to calm the brain when it's twirling. Might not be what everyone needs when anxious, but I found it ideal!.Version: 1.1

Wonderful 🙏PAUSE is a refreshing take on mindfulness/meditation. I love the latest update that sends mindfulness minutes to the Health App 🙏.Version: 1.4

Magical and effectiveThis app is genius! Especially due to its simplicity and lack of intrusive instructions to users. So brilliant and so effective. Highly recommended:-).Version: 1.4

I like it.Yes..Version: 1.1

Amazingly effectiveI’m astonished at how relaxing this is. I’ve done different mindfulness practices for years and this one immediately kick starts my parasympathetic nervous system,’to the point where I get a wave of drowsiness within a minute and I feel very centered in the present moment..Version: 3.3.3

BrilliantIt does what is says relaxes and gives better focus slowing your mind down people who are critical may need to do a bit more research into meditation about developing better awareness through your senses which are constant so your mind is in the present not future (anxiety) and past (stress) this app is great for this will allow people to develop clearer quiet mind.Version: 1.3

Amazingly best!One of a kind,and amazing..Version: 1.3

Very relaxingIt’s really satisfying and peaceful beautiful app.Version: 1.6

AmazingLove the app but needs updating to support iPhone C.Version: 1.4

Great appThe app is truly relaxing, but for some reason the feedback stopped working. Even reset my phone and it’s charged and I’m using a 7..Version: 1.4

Instant calmI really love this app. No matter what is happening, simply opening this app and moving my finger on the screen while watching the gathering energy ball and listening to the beautifully evolving sounds never fails to bring me right into calm focus. Highly recommend..Version: 1.3

Simple & EffectiveGreat for short meditations anywhere..Version: 1.3

The one I keep coming back toI’ve tried my fair share of similar apps. Pause is the one I use consistently. Thank you..Version: 1.5

Ignore the negative reviews. This app is great. I thought it was a bit silly but I was wrong. It's such a simple concept but it does make me more relaxed and stress free. Of course it will not eliminate all stress, it's a phone app after all lol. £1.49 you can't go wrong :).Version: 1.1
