$3?Drag a thumb app.... $3 for this app is a little ridiculous. Beautiful yes, but it's too simple.Version: 1.1

Surely this hasn't been user testedI was hoping to find this relaxing but instead found it aggravating because there was no indication as to why I wasn't able to make the pause time go for 10 minutes. This might be the most frustrating app that I've used..Version: 1.1

No sound. No support?Sound only comes out of bluetooth speaker, NO sound at all when bluetooth disconnected. Moving my finger on a screen with my eyes shut and with no sounds coming out of the speakers seems to be something I could do for free, and renders the app pointless. No "support" link in-app, and none of the "support" or "report a problem" links in iTunes actually lead to a support page, just a sales page. So I have no option but to leave a negative review and hope for feedback..Version: 1.1

Fack appNo good.Version: 1.4

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!Purchased this app thinking it would be a nice meditation tool for when I am stressed. No, it's too bossy tells you what speed to rub your finger across the screen. Additionally, it tells you to close your eyes but How can I read the next instruction when my eyes are closed? Shouldn't have wasted my time on this app hardly use it and it's not effective..Version: 1.3

Waste of moneyThis is a complete rip off. I want my money back.Version: 1.1

Support for iPhone X screen?Good app but looks rubbish on this screen now. When will it be updated?.Version: 1.4

Where's the music? This looks the goods but downloaded WITHOUT background music. The settings' page is no help either!.Version: 1.3

Cheap sounds and loopsWhile the app is such a wonderful idea. The sounds and loops sounds cheap and fuzzy when playing without headphones. Sadly it should be much easier to play high-quality sound even without headphones. With such apps as headspace and thunderstorm this app compares very poorly..Version: 3.0

Not full screenIPhone XS not supported which draws from the experience.Version: 1.4

0 ratingNo use at all 😡.Version: 1.4

It’s goodJust a bit laggy some frame rate issues Definitely relaxing !.Version: 1.4

Gorgeous, relaxing designThis is an amazing app and is well worth the money! The only improvement I would ask for is for an option to keep the "guide" from growing outside of the screen. I would like to watch it follow my fingertip and I find that part most relaxing. Update: very bummed that the newest update requires an annual fee now to access the additional features after I paid for the app, but at least the original feature is still free…hoping the same won’t happen to Sway….Version: 3.1.1

Not worth it 😒As others have said, once the blob fills the screen there’s not much else to do. You could just rub your finger on your screen anyway for free... not worth the $1.99.Version: 1.4

Why😩Why did I buy this? Smh.Version: 1.4

The app crashes a lotIt crashes almost every time the session ends.Version: 1.4

Was great. Now....not so much. Please please please please add a menu feature to turn off the haptic feedback if you go to quickly. It is incredibly annoying and completely takes you out of the flow..Version: 2.2.0

JunkLikely the very worst purchase amongst over 1000 apps that I've yet made. It is mere bare bones of development - really just a colour cycle and rather average blob animation with minimal soundtrack - and that has nothing at all to do with taijiquan. The 2 person taiji practice is purely tactile, often done with eyes closed throughout to focus on the feeling not our usual sight. This is closer to a scam app, where you are paying money for an app and you little more than touch your screen! As far as 'mindfulness' this it just overly simplistic and really dull ( I have no doubt the EEG readings confirm that). There's nothing relaxing about being told you're 'too fast' rather it should postively mention to 'go slowly'. And switching off these prompts doesn't seem to work at all either. There is no landscape orientation support, so you are forced to hold your ipad as if it were a big phone. Then it tells you to close your eyes - great, now what? - when you open them again you find it is still giving visual-only instructions like 'stopped' or 'too fast'!? It's just ill-thought through junk..Version: 1.3

Doesn’t workBought this after all the good things had read about it. However, since purchasing every time I try and play the ball just becomes so big it fills the screen! Is that meant to happen or am I doing something wrong?.Version: 1.4

No option to turn off sound?!I used to live this simple little app. When I was in a meeting and having trouble focusing it was perfect. It was both calming and focusing. Now it is useless! The only time I can use it is if I’m alone in a quiet room, and then I don’t need it! I bought it because it purports to help anxiety and improve focus, but I can’t use it in situations where that’s needed. Even with the volume turned down on my phone this app broadcasts to everyone around me that I’m using it..Version: 4.2.1

Overhyped beyond reasonDo not buy this app. It's a complete ripoff..Version: 1.1

I like it but...Should be clearer that the sound only works with headphones. I couldn't find this documented anywhere..Version: 1.1

I'm confusedIt tells you to love a circle for 10 minutes how is that relaxing its pissing me off.Version: 1.1

ConfusedThe dot disappears after a couple of minutes. The whole screen is covered so I’m not following anything. Then it tells me to close my eyes. For how long? It never tells me to open them so I peak. Im going too fast is in the screen. How am I supposed to see that with my eyes closed?? And I could just put on some zen music and move my finger across the screen of my phone and it wouldn’t cost me $1.99. Don’t waste your money.Version: 1.4

Good app, dated on a couple frontsI find the app really lovely. The initial blob is not something you’re following so much as something you’re leading. The aggregating color helps bring my focus to the session. Once the screen was filled with color, I began exploring the colors. The first time it filled with a gradient from blue to green to gold to orange from bottom to top. I found myself exploring these gradients and the way the direction of my motion changed my perception of them and how my finger obscuring parts of the gradient would make different colors stand out. This was all surprisingly engaging. That said, there are a few things this app really needs to rise to the next level for me: 1) Some sort of audio or haptic feedback for when you’re moving too fast. It instructs you to close your eyes and then puts feedback on screen in text. :\ 2) Update to support the full screen of iPhone X. Seeing black bars is distracting and using the full screen of the X would make the experience much more immersive. 3) An Apple Watch app. This would be a great place to offer feedback while the user’s eyes are closed. 4) Siri support to start a new session without needing to locate the app..Version: 1.4

An account needed?Pretty much never going to do that. Apple nor you need to know about my usage nor state. deleted.Version: 4.0.2

Only good for approx a minuteThis app is ok but after a minute or so the dot fills the screen so you aren’t moving anything around and it loses its purpose. Also find it strange that it says to close your eyes... but then you can’t see the following instructions on the screen as there is no audio. Not the worst but some serious flaws..Version: 1.4

PauseI don’t like how you it always shows the add thing saying pause premium..Version: 4.2.9

In-app purchase scamThree months ago the developer added the option to purchase a new soundscape in the app. I purchased the soundscape, but now the developer has removed it from the app completely in favour of other soundscapes that you have to subscribe to access. I’m not against subscription models in apps, but the way this has been implemented is disgraceful. Previous purchases need to be honoured..Version: 2.0

The app that creates more anxiety than it relieves.I didn’t find this app beneficial, my issues with it being: 1. Any app made for the use of stress relief, meditation etc; should avoid using the colour red. It is not a calming colour, it evokes feelings of anger and or passion. Not a colour I enjoy seeing covering my screen when I am trying to find some inner calm. 2. The instructions say to follow the dot, sounds simple enough except it’s not. It kept instructing me to go slower and when I would it would tell me to go on as if I’d stopped completely? very confusing. 3. When the app is already paid, it’s a bit much to have to purchase other music in app. It’s not the price but the principle..Version: 1.9

Almost perfectThere’s no option to mute the sound! This would be perfect for listening to a podcast or music and relaxing, but your ambient music ruins any chance of that. An option to keep the circle on the screen would be good. Also, once the colour fills the screen, moving my finger feels pointless as there is no visual feedback after that. An idea would be to have it automatically start again with another small coloured circle and so on.. Let me emphasise that this app is pretty amazing. It’s super clever. But you’re a 6/10. With a few features you can reach 10/10..Version: 1.4

I don't like the text"Too fast" text is distracting. Just give some visual feedback, don't holler at me..Version: 1.6

Was good, seems broken nowI downloaded this years ago when it first came out and used it a lot - the basic idea works well and it was very relaxing. Trying this latest version now it seems to kick me out early half the time with the music stopping, leaving me more stressed than I was beforehand..Version: 3.1.3

Incredibly boring,Because I like to be told that I'm dragging my finger too slowly from an application I paid 3 dollars for..Version: 1.3

Really like the idea, but it doesn't quite get thereI was expecting a little more from this, given that it's a paid app. I knew it was just "thumb tai chi" and wouldn't have anything exciting to it, but I also didn't expect the "lava lamp" aspect to disappear after a couple of minutes in a session (the bubble grows as you go, eventually growing larger than the screen such that you can't even tell if it's still moving with your touch). I also didn't expect it to be so easy to just forget that you're doing it. It's supposed to be a focus for mindfulness, but really, it's so simple that it would be more effective to hold a very full cup of water and use that as your focus point. Tai chi has forms to give some structure to the controlled movements, this does not. It also has no minimum speed, so you can just creep your finger across the screen and defeat the purpose. If it was free, it'd be a nice app, but for 2-3 bucks, it's not worth it..Version: 1.1

PointlessThe only thing this app does is tell you to move a dot around the screen it is the opposite of what it is supposed to. The worst thing i have purchased ever..Version: 1.4

PointlessI find this pointless and absolutely waste of money..Version: 1.4

Great app... some flawsThis is a great app! Super calming and awesome! However, the screen fills up much too quickly, and it gets boring after that. And, when you go too fast or too slow, the entire thing shrinks back to a dot, and it gets frustrating. I like it it, but it's not completely worth it.Version: 1.4

Not thrilled or calmAre red and yellow the best colours to use for "calm" no, they are not! You'd think you would have put some colour research into your studies before you released the app. Red triggers the mind for rage, danger, blood! Nice work guys!!.Version: 1.1

Nice ideaIt’s simple and it works, sound + movement + visualization are just perfectly challenged to put you -yeah- in transe. It’s as simple as hypnosis. But I would suggest that the circle doesn’t take all the screen so the eye movements keep being challenged by all the little circle aggregating the main one. And where are explanations about the levels of difficulty? Edit: minus one star because I emailed you with a simple question and you just didn’t replied after a week. Do you guys care?.Version: 1.4

Support iPhone X?This is a wonderfully simple app that makes you relax. It would be great if it could fill the screen of the iPhone X..Version: 1.4

It's good butI love this app. However, for an app that advocates meditation, it's pretty annoying how the name of the app is so obtrusive with the two middle dots on the side. For god's sake please rename it to just Pause..Version: 1.3

Almost perfectAs others have pointed out, audio should play regardless of mute switch, just as alarms do. Notifications or alarms should be blocked while using. App does put you in trance like state when you move the bubble around but when closing your eyes it would be nice to have some audio feedback. Loss of visuals tends to take me out of the experience. Should have been a 4 star review but removed one star for not making improvements over 2 years of feedback. Could be a 5 star app if some quirks were worked out..Version: 1.4

New breathe feature is badOut of all the available known breathing techniques this is what you’re going with. I have to lay down and put my phone awkwardly on my stomach. And then the audio keeps cutting out every few seconds. This is incredibly annoying and the most frustrating breathing technique I’ve ever tried. You shouldn’t have to lay down to do breathing exercises. I’ll keep using my other breathing apps that aren’t just a gimmick..Version: 3.0

Good potential, but flawed.I want to give this more stars because it does cause me an immediate physiological response, calming and almost sedative, but you have zero control to make it work better for you depending on your needs, and it’s disappointing. Here’s what would help: - Add an option in settings to turn the sound off. The music and birds are not relaxing to me (and there are no music or sound options). Yes, I can just mute it, but that’s not the point. - Allow adjustments to the speed of the growth of the blob. This would not decrease the effectiveness, and it often takes me longer to fully relax than the current timeframe gives me. - Let the user pick the color. Some colors are more soothing than others. The way it is the frustration is outweighing the benefits..Version: 1.6

I don’t get itI’m sure some kind of research went into this app’s development, but I am disappointed that no information is given through the app. I was looking for relaxation, but this app feels like work..Version: 1.9.3

OverchargedI was charged $6.41 for this app. I haven’t used it but overcharging is deceptive..Version: 1.4

Is this real !!I just move my finger around screen literally !!! and i can do it without this app !!!!!!!.Version: 1.4

PointlessCan’t believe I paid for this. Absolutely pointless after the screen fills with color. Buy a good meditation app instead..Version: 1.4

Waste of two perfectly good George’s.WTAF? Total bs and a waste of money..Version: 1.4

Not compatible with iPhone XS MaxNot compatible with iPhone XS Max.Version: 1.4

Don't buyYou follow the blob for one minute then it turns into a solid color instead of spending 2 dollars on this you could just turn off your phone close your eyes and move your finger very slowly on the screen which is the same function this app would have minus the bird sounds I thought I was going to be following the blob for the whole time but I quickly fills the screen I think this app is misleading For only showing screenshots of the blob and not what truly happens for the whole ten mins I feel scammed.Version: 1.4

This app does what it claims to do but seems unnecessaryYou essentially move your finger around the screen, listen to sounds, and eventually close your eyes. The description says this technique was tested using an electroencephalogram which showed that it decreased brain activity however I would think any form of mediation would achieve a similar effect. This app is for people who have a hard time relaxing and meditating without assistance. If you close your eyes and can't seem turn the voice in your head off then this might be able to help you. Otherwise, I wouldn't spend $1.99 on this app. Also, I personally found the bird sounds to be annoying and distracting so it would be nice to have an option to turn that off..Version: 1.1

Good but there is a bugGood app but there seems to be a bug where there is no sound. The app says a bell will chime when the session is finished but there is no sounds to alert you when you finish..Version: 1.6

Won’t track my meditations streakI keep having my streak reset to the first day everyday and it won’t count how many days in a row I’ve meditated..Version: 4.2.10

Not worth paying forI don’t get why this costs anything...Version: 1.4

Good, with Some Opportunities for ImprovementI have enjoyed using Pause for a while and have been very happy to see the feature set grow with new and very helpful additions. I have been considering subscribing, but have one major complaint: Pause does not seem to offer the opportunity to log mindful minutes in Apple Health. As someone who likes to track that metric passively, I would really like to see that added to a future update..Version: 2.3.4

Blob with a privacy policy. For no discernable or stated reason, the app is now unusable with signing in. Why does it require an account? No idea..Version: 1.9.1

Not for meditationI basically buy all apps related to meditation because I practice intensely and appreciate help. This app is a distraction and not a meditation. It's beautiful and can be calming but it doesn't accomplished anything. I don't like when it asks to close my eyes, I get confused on when to open them. It doesn't make sense. Not recommended unless you like to see an evolving blob..Version: 1.1

As simple as it getsA minimalist's timeout. Should I be hearing music though? Because I'm not. It might even be nice and calming for children at times ..Version: 1.3

IAP not coolSick and tired of the rip-off pricing.Version: 2.0.3

WhatDid I seriously just pay $3 to move my finger across the screen ‘slowly’. There’s literally nothing else to it.Version: 1.4

Needs voice instructionsTells you to close your eyes but continues to give visual instructions which you obviously can’t see if your eyes are closed. Useless app without voice instructions..Version: 1.4
