✓ Great but I have a problem...I’ve been scanning the App Store for fun games to play and this is what I was looking for. It’s very exiting and has lots of funny stuff you could do. I just had this game for 1 day and I beat 3 prisons. Here’s where my problem starts. I was being chased by a mob of cops while running in circles and then my game just crashed and I can’t really play right now so that’s my I’m writing a review. This really is a great game and hopefully the game will work again. Now I’m editing my review from a couple of days ago and every time I try to play the escapists it just stays on the title page. I kinda feel like I wasted my money because I just started so... I bought the escapists 2 and even though it’s the second version I like the first one better. Please fix crash.Version: 1.11
✓ GlitchesThe game is great,But whenever i'm at ANY period (Meal rollcall,exercise etc) The guards keep yelling at me saying like "Shift it (name)" Then my guard heat gets high then the guards run after me. This happens in every prison. Could you please fix it?.Version: 1.11
✓ Amazing game but one thingGod, this game Is amazing! Worth double or even triple what they are selling it for! I love it. I’m on the second prison and I found something and I don’t know if it’s a bug or a planned feature but I’m trying to dig a hole out of prison and I cover it with my desk but I found an issue where whenever I’m near the desk it says I’m at risk of discovery and to cover up my hole even though the desk is covering it, worst part? The guards do see it if I’m next to the desk and I get sent to solitary and have to reload my save, I just want to know if this is a bug or a feature, other then that I think this game is awesome and it is worth every digital penny. 11/10.Version: 1.12

✓ It’s fun as a prison simulator but escaping is a whole different story 🙄See, I want to rate this 5 because it does deserve it, but I just can’t, and here’s why! I looked up a tutorial on how to escape from the first prison and did all the steps correctly as shown on the video, but every time I go to dig, I get sent to solitary confinement for 3 days even though I did all the steps correctly, meaning I can’t even pass the first and easiest prison, I’m going to keep researching this and trying to escape..Version: 1.12
✓ Great but it’s missing somethingsI love this game and I want u to know that when I watch you tubers play this game they play on computer and they get things like the multitool, the powered screwdriver, the bat, and the glass shank etc. I have also been getting in trouble for incorrect reasons during work time in the correctional facility prison even when I’m at my job. And could u add custom prisons too? I know I’m asking a lot but love this to happen thanks. ✓ Great game but has a bugI love this game, it’s an amazing puzzle strategy game and it takes time to actually escape which for me makes it worth the buy it’s not a game that you easily get bored not is it a game a goal and only one way to achieve that goal. It’s an amazing game however one of the things that helps get the player immersed is the naming part which for me it didn’t work. I would put in custom names but when the game starts I those names changed back to the default. But even with that bug I still give it 5 stars since it is still a good game but please fix this bug I really like the idea of customizing the names of the people..Version: 1.07

✓ Gr8 game with minor issues.I absolutely love this game! But there are some things that I would like you to change. First, there are NO MULTITOOLS, which makes San pancho even harder to do! Secondly, there is no mobbing (when someone has 90+ opinion of you, you press a button, and they follow you.) which made prisons like Duct Tapes are Forever harder. And finally, there is a situation with plastic keys. In PC, they last a decent amount of time, where in IOS, they last about 2 seconds! I know there are glitches that fix this but I think they might have patched them. Anyways if you change these, I would be really happy with myself and Team17!.Version: 1.06

Some people want to make the choice of making their own female or male character and not choosing from the selected few. Also I would like to get the choice to be a cop or prisoner and to be able to play with friends (if you did not add it yet) Btw please make a control to make it easy, hard, or impossible as difficulty levels and that those controls change the guard flashlight size, other’s speed, aim of the beams when escaping , and finally the strength of everyone else. ✓ Good game but add thisI love the game but the one thing I can not find on iPad compared the the computer one is that there is no contraband chest that you can find in places you need keys to get to. So if you add the chest it would make it a bit easyer to get out off some off the more challenging prison because they can give you very helpfull items. ✓ Random lockdown glitches!Great concept! Though I wish devs would release their apps without unpolished glitches. Prime example which really annoys me is how one day I woke up and got an instant lockdown out of nowhere! I didn’t do anything at all to provoke the guards and this was before roll call even happened! Since I was crammed in my cell there was nowhere I could go and as a result got beaten by three guards! Now escape is almost impossible since those three guards now have a low opinion of me and once someone gets a low opinion of you it is hard to get their opinion back up! Every day without fail now a inmate with a low opinion beats me up at breakfast before I have a chance to execute a plan and since a good amount of guards have a low opinion I get beat up too missing breakfast! Please fix this since it is starting to get frustrating and in this day and age games shouldn’t be this buggy!.Version: 1.11
✓ Great Game!When I first bought this game I played it for 10 hours straight. It has role playing elements with strategy and character affinity with item crafting... its a really fun game. The only complaint I have is crafting is supposed to be trial and error. I think this can be extremely frustrating, because you may craft something you think you need. or spend a few virtual days trying to save up for certain items when it turns out they were the wrong items or you didn’t need them. They also make you pay (virtual in-game currency) for “tips” which basically are crafting recipes. Look up the crafting recipes online and keep it by your side while you play, is in my opinion the way to keep the game engaging and not frustrating. I’ve played quite a few mobile games, and this is a gem. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes games to be challenging and engaging while still being a lot of fun. I don’t recommend it to casuals, lol. you may get a little flustered if you’re just used to candy crush ;).Version: 1.06

But there is a glitch where for instance, on day seven you get caught with contraband in your desk, then you decide to load your LAST SAVE after that you hurry back to your desk on DAY SEVEN like when you where caught, to stop the guard from finding out you have contraband. ✓ Minor errorsAwesome game, but there are instances where the police heat goes up even when your doing what your supposed to be doing (eating breakfast and they tell you to pick up the pace when you’re already sitting down). There was also another one where gaining intellect is bugged ( if you run out of energy while reading, you can’t do any actions, and when you regain energy and do an action, it shows that you are reading). Idk if this is one but if you’re close to a person’s cell (not inside of the cell) the police heat still goes up..Version: 1.12
✓ Great game! Only one suggestion...I love this game, and I have been addicted since I bought it! It’s totally worth the money. Love the physics too! Only one suggestion. (Disclaimer: I know you have to make the game challenging) I dislike that when the backup arrives during lockdown you have no choice of going to solitary or loading. It would be nice if backup was likened to an Elite Riot S.W.A.T. Team. That would be extremely challenging and fun to try to beat them. That’s the only suggestion, still a great game! ✓ Great, except that...This game is the best escape game I’ve ever played in my life. So what’s the big problem you may ask? Well at roll-call even when I’m in line the cops will still be mad that I’m not in line even when I know I’m 100% in line( this might be at other times during the day not just roll-call ). Then sometimes my game will crash randomly and I loose all my progress. So pretty please with a cherry on top add a save that starts you exactly where you left off( you don’t have to just a suggestion ). This next one you might get a lot but I think I should still point it out just in case, so you know how mobile keys break after 4 uses and the others keys last at least 10 times, please make the mobile keys last as long as theirs. Okay this one doesn’t have anything to do with this review but can you add creative mode to the mobile version please. And can you also add escapists 2 to mobile please( just more suggestions remember you don’t have to, and if you do add escapists 2 to mobile you should have it cost money because that’s fair for you guys and gals. ✓ Love the game but few requests...I love playing this game and it’s worth the money and everything but I have some things that I wish the game had. Honestly, I wish you could put girls in the game too because I am a girl and I really wish I could be a girl in the game. Girls also go to jail too, not just males. I also wish that you could customize how your character looks so you could be unique instead of the same thing other people might be. I also wish that we could make an ONLINE section to it where there are cops and prisoners that are other people playing. That would make it fun. I know that might be extreme, but it would make the game more fun for me AND everyone else. And if you don’t want to do it online, you didn’t have to. If you did do an online section, do a chat that beeps out swearing or other things like that. ✓ Good but there are bugsI used to played this game a lot. I recently reinstalled it, and really like it. There’s a few bugs that I want to report. When I’m following the schedule and am at the place that I should be, guards will walk over and tell me to hurry up. So far this has only happened to me during Workout, Role-call (both morning and evening), and once during the Laundry Job. It’s weird because during the Exercise Period I was literally using a machine and a guard walked in and said “Chop chop!” I’ve gotten up to 46 Heat... Points? Just because of this. Another minor bug I want to report is if you get to Evening Roll-Call early (I haven’t been to Morning Roll-Call early, so I don’t know if it happens then too), it doesn’t know that you're in the correct place. Basically, the schedule goes from Evening Free Time to Evening Roll-Call. If you’re in Evening Free Time and decide to get to the Roll-Call area before the schedule changes, the game doesn’t think you’re in the right area, and gives the big warning sign on the side (the one that pops up whenever you pick up an unconscious NPC). Overall this game is very fun, and I’d recommend it! If these bugs get fixed, I’ll gladly rate this 5 stars instead of 4..Version: 1.10

✓ Amazing but a few bugs and issues.I really love the game I'm on the last prison HMP-Irongate and it was perfect except there is a few bugs and issues. The bug is when you first start, it has the black around and it slowly fades, if I'm about to escape I will reload and an inmate will attack me and I will lose all my items and I will have no choice but to lose them. The issues is you can't make some items. For example: you can't make powered screwdriver or plated gaurd outfit ect. If you fix the bugs/issues then I will go to a five star. Great job on creating the game. 100% worth the money. Edit: I restarted and I had everything I needed to escape and I keep getting killed! No matter what I keep getting killed! ✓ Suggestion towards the developers of this game.So this game is just wonderful. A full set of missions, sets of difficulties, very challenging, and best of all, fun. But what do we do once we are all done with the game? I have interview people, and they were pleased with the game, they loved the game, except the fact that there is nothing more to do once the game is complete, and that they had to pay for the game, so I was thinking, why not develop a multiplayer mode? So you can play online, it makes the game more fun, and it gives people a reason why they should keep playing this amazing game, good day..Version: 1.04
✓ Great game, port is near spot-on!Even if I hated the original game, I have to give it props to being a great port at least! The prisons are interesting in some way, such as San Pancho. In that prison, guards don’t come and patrol the area you’re allowed to explore without any keys except for Exercise Time, Roll Call, and Dinner and breakfast. One complaint I have is when you try to raise your intellect, your meter stays the same the first tine you try to raise it. It’s minor, but annoying at times. Also the touch controls feel wonky sometimes. I mean I don’t like touch controls in general but I mean you can accidentally go into a contraband detector (with contraband of course) instead of the other door you wanted to go in. I have a list of other complaints too, but that’s more fit for a review on Steam however. Would highly recommend this game. All versions..Version: 1.07

✓ Amazing Game - Except for Some Bugs!I love the Escapists and was debating whether to get it on PC or not, but then this came out and I knew I had to get it! For $4, I could see what the game was all about and have a better opinion on trying the DLC in the PC version (which I hope you add as in-app purchases later!). It was great, my brother and I both were playing it. Except, we were experiencing some launch bugs, which is to be expected. I encountered some text issues with the description of X item in the payphone. Also, sometimes the opening-desk sound kept looping for no apparent reason. My brother's game wouldn't let him escape other prisoners trying to beat him up while loading a save. He was just frozen in place while the black box around the screen faded away and the prisoners had time to come at him and kill him. He died every time he tried loading and was forced to stay in solitary without his items. But these bugs are minor, and I know you can fix them. Anyone that wants to get this game should definitely buy it, it is worth the money! Can't wait to see how it progresses in the future!.Version: 1.05

✓ Great game but one terrible bug/glitchWhen I first got this game, I thought it was pretty fun but after a day or 2 I realized that when I was at a certain location for that time of day, the officers would yell at me and tell me to get to the place I’m supposed to be. I’ll say an example that happened to me in another prison on the first day in morning roll call, I was waiting for them to tell shake downs and then when cops walked by, they would to tell me to get going to roll call and give me 10 of the cop suspicion points thing(the ones that if you get over 90, the cops attack you). Well when I was waiting at roll call, more cops would walk by and bring my “cop suspicion points” up. And it got over 90 and they attacked me. Terrible bug/glitch that could ruin someone if they had contraband on them at the time. It seems like it would be easy to find, and it is. If the devs see this, please fix it. It’s ruining my playing experience and probably many others. That’s my only complaint, otherwise a great game..Version: 1.10

✓ Please read, this is kinda game breaking!I Love the game, but i have one massive problem. All the inmates and officers are way too weak! i like the PC version, where they have 80+ in each stat, making it a big challenge. with the way it is right now, i find it way too easy to escape using pure brute force. right now even the officers have like 20 of each stat, while the player starts at fourty. Please fix this, and add the rest of the missing items, like the missing contraband detectors from some of the prisons and stuff like that, like cameras and other craftables. ✓ A great game to learn all about being behind barsI always imagined if I committed a felony or major crime, I get to sent to court and then be shipped off to prison. In this game, it does the exact same thing in a 2D world (except without court, which is good). I not ONLY learn about many prison routines, strict behaviors, dreams about freedom (which I am currently experiencing, thank God), and more. The game is utterly fun and complicated. You need to craft from simple sock maces to red key molds (which you can get from 10 putty, red key, and a black-gray thing, I forgot). The only problem? The game needs multiplayer, and needs to make the guards talk a little easier. I get very tempted and mad by those annoying blue-dressed NPC’s and makes me rage and fight (I know, I’m very sensitive). Multiplayer could be fun as you can be team prisoners and help each other escape. Having the severs to be LAN and local. That’s my speech of stupidity, hope you respond developers! Recommendations: Do as I say in the upper review. Add a way mode you can change into the “Guard” team (it doesn’t matter if you change the name, logo, or even charge it). Make the prisoners the same speed as the character and the guards a little faster (oh, and when your getting hunted by a prisoner, make them the same speed as the guard). I understand making this game was hard, but I'd recommend a handful more of prisons for more entertainment. Because when it comes to a point we're you completed all prisons in the game ( and the extras ) it is boring. ✓ A SuggestionThe game is great! It does good like the PC edition, but a few things removed. Only problem is that when you get onto the roof, walking between buildings using the pipes is hard, and leaves little room for error, making escaping HMP Irongate using the rooftops harder. My suggestion would be that you should have to keep walking onto the edge or make the room for the pipes bigger. 1 Star, since although this is major, I still should show respect to the rest of the game. ✓ Unwanted heatThe game is absolutely amazing, and I can’t stop playing it. But there is 1 problem. Whenever I go to something like a meal, or shower block, or anything with every prisoner there, the guards give me heat for no reason. They say stuff like “hurry up”, and “get going”. ✓ AmazingThe escapists is a very well made sandbox game with a very clear goal: escape. This game balances sandbox gameplay between role playing in a prison. One of the things that i like about this game is that there is many ways to escape, providing a different experience every time. Like beating up guards? Take them all out to takeover the prison. Like sneaking out at night? Break out of your cell and cut a hole in the fence and escape under the cover of darkness. Like getting around unnoticed? Jump into the vent system and dig a hole under the fence. There is also different prisons ranging from easy to difficult, with each one adding new challenges, like contraband sensors, sentry towers, electric fences and more, all while going about a prison life, managing a job (yes, there are jobs in prison), and avoiding guards. I love how you can name each cell mate. I always enjoy this game and find it super fun. ✓ Great Game But...Ilove the game. It is one of my favorite games in the world. But unfortunately there are some problems with it. First of all, if I am actually fallowing the schedule in the game, the guards still get their heats up and I get knocked out. Especially for the things like roll call where I cant just run away. The second thing that always bugs me is that sometimes when you get sent to solitary confinement and you get the chance to load, you load and then before your screen is even full you get knocked out and once again you are sent to solitary. Third of all, I was trying out santas sweatshop and for some reason I cant go into any other prisons. It doesn't even give me the option to. Overall though really good game! Like wall selections and prisoner count guard count cameras the different already pre-made sections of the prison and add a requirements so you have to have all the rooms necessary to run a full prison day but you can have it optional to skip one meal but have max and min room and people count that will be awesome! First, Green Beds, if you attempt to sleep on them, the game would crash instantly. Second, Plastic Keys, I noticed that the keys only have 4 uses rather than on the PC Version which has 10 uses. I know this may not mean that much, but for a few prisons, it's pretty hard trying to get the items in a room that require a Red key though, and having to go back in. ✓ Loved on console, obnoxious on mobileI’ve been playing this game on my console for a while, and I enjoyed it very much. I installed it on my iPhone, and once I got to prison #2, some issues began to happen. First, I was at the end of day 1, and my game randomly crashed. It reset at my most recent save (which was roll call) it wasn’t a huge deal, but I had spent the entire day getting intelligence 80 so I had to redo that. Second, I had knocked out 2 guards, which began a lockdow, where I lost everything (im not sure if this is intentional, but even if it wasn’t, I’m not including this in my review rating) Third, I had knocked out a guard, made key moulds, then returned the key. I had the little pop up notifying me that the game couldn’t save if I was in danger of being caught, with an image of the knocked out guard. I double checked the guard still had his original key in his inventory (which he did). When he woke up, i was sent to solitary and lost everything for a third time. I love this game, and this has never happened before, which is why I’m giving a 4/5. If these bugs never occurred, I would rate this game a 6/5..Version: 1.12

I only have one problem with it, which is that in the Jungle Compound when I’m exercising or doing what I’m meant to be doing the guards will tell me to go where I should be when I’m doing nothing wrong. ✓ Stuck??I like this game a lot and I have been playing it, but I have a slight issue. When you have a job, you have a key, but when you lose your job, so do your key. I find this really annoying as if you are in your job centre you can get stuck in there and cannot get out. There is also different ways to escape in each prison; depending wether there is high security, electric fence/wall around the prison or wether you are completely stranded on an island! ✓ Great but with a significant issueAlthough the game itself is an amazingly fun game of plotting and scheming your way out of what ever prison walls hold you back, there is a major issue with the AI of the guards. If you are where you are supposed to be, they will still tell you to go where you need to be. ✓ Very fun and excitingOk so first off, I LOVED the difficulty scaling, for example the first prison has no metal detectors, vents, a cheap pay phone, and more, and the difficulty got higher and higher slowly, but quickly at the same time of that makes sense. Also, when preforming a (successful) escape attempt, I found my heart racing if it took a long time to get here! The special prisons are super fun and some of the normal ones had exclusive items that felt realistic and fun to try to get and use! Sometimes you have to build REALLY elaborate escape plans and sometimes you just use brute force! Also after you escape a prison you get treated to a little clip of you failing to escape and that explains why you then unlock a harder prison! And it feels soooo satisfying to see your character succeed in escaping from the last one! Overall this game is well worth the price, and it WILL test your wits. ✓ Buddies?So, I love this game and it's really good for speedruns. However, I have two problems. 1. On Xbox and PC versions of the game you can have prisoners follow you and attack for you if they like you enough but when I try and do everything I can do make them follow you they just won't. Please add this. 2. The second thing is a bit petty but I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem you see I'm a speed runner and so I got this game in June and by the time July came round I had completed all the prisons. This is because the game has a lack of content compared to PC. The other reason I have to back this point up is the fact that the Xbox has a few minor difference that make it hard to copy speedruns from other people playing Xbox. Crafting There are many, many recipes that help you escape the prisons, but on the computer you can select the recipe for you to craft without knowing it off by heart. ✓ Great game minor improvementThis game is awesome! I have played every prison and enjoyed them. I only have a one complaint. For starters when I was playing Santa’s Sweat shop I got really far. But then I forgot to use a fence cover. The next morning I had the option to go to solitary or load last save. ✓ BugI have been playing this game sense I’ve got it and I’ve loved it, but there is a pretty bad bug that can lead to having you restart your day and losing all progress. When playing and you’re at a roll call, or most other places, if a guard who doesn’t follow the day with you sees you, he will tell you to get to where you’re supposed to be raising your heat by 5. If you have high heat or multiple guarded wall bug you, your heat and shoot up by 20 and you’ll have to fight or submit losing all progress. I love this game and hope the see this fixed. ✓ Love this gameSo the support page wasn’t working kept saying missing CSRF token so here is my problem basically when on weigh lifting on Escape team map guard meter went up to 100 for no reason because three guards continued to spam tell me to go where I am supposed to be even though it was exercise time and I lost my nunchucks. Also when I am doing the box job guards say to get to my job even though I am at the truck. No pressure I was just really discouraged about the first one because my save point is as I am getting beat up so I can’t get my nunchucks back..Version: 1.11
✓ AmazingDefinitely worth the buy guys :)) hours of gameplay and fun and so many different prisons. It gets quite challenging to work out a plan. Nice job!.Version: 1.06
